The sales team was shockingly dishonest and disrespectful towards their customers, and their actions clearly demonstrated that they are more interested in making a quick buck than building long-term relationships with their customers. During my visit, I was interested in trading in my 2018 Jeep Wrangler for a new car. However, the salesperson I was working with tried to lowball me on the value of my car, claiming that it was worth only $12,000, despite other dealerships offering me $26,000 for it. When I asked why they were willing to sell it to someone else for $26,000 but only wanted to give me $12,000, the salesperson got extremely defensive and tried to deny what they had said. It was clear to me that they were trying to cheat me out of the full value of my car. In addition to this dishonest behavior, Matick Toyota also tried to give me high interest rates that were significantly higher than what their website claims to offer their customers. It was clear that they were trying to take advantage of my situation and pressure me into accepting a bad deal. Overall, my experience at Matick Toyota was absolutely horrendous. I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with them to think twice and to do their research before visiting this dealership. They are not interested in treating their customers with respect or honesty, and it is clear that their only concern is making a quick profit at the expense of others.Edit,I went out of my way to purchase a car fax report on my vehicle and nothing can justify your contributions. The car fax states $26,000 for its retail value. Again you’re throwing dishonest lies. It’s a shame.

Dep 411: The sales department is great. The service portion is absolutely the worst I've ever been to. Long story short, they lied about fixing my new vehicle that was only a few months old. Contacted Toyota Corp, and they got involved and told me to take it to a different dealer. The other dealer service department found the problem right away and fixed the issue. Matick service told me my problem was normal and I shouldn't worry. Fox Toyota said it was not normal, and it's a good thing I got Toyota Corp involved. Because Matick was not truthful and tried to hide an issue with my brand new vehicle. It is absolutely shocking to get treated like nobody from a dealer, I just bought 2 vehicles from. Thank goodness for Fox Toyota and getting my problem resolved. I highly recommend avoiding Matick Toyota at all costs, at least the service department. It's the worst service department I have ever been to.REPLY TO Matick__________________I'll be a little more specific. Yes, indeed, I had a terrible seat rattle. The seat would rattle every day, anytime I drove the truck.Showed your service department videos of it doing it. When I dropped the truck off, I recorded my milage. When I picked up the truck, it had the same milage. I was waiting at the dealer the whole time you guys had my truck. You guys never test drove it or anything. So it's appalling that you guys are blanltantly lying saying that the service department diagnosed and found no issue with the seat rattling. The seat rattled was evident if you guys would have driven it 1 or 2 miles. It would be clear as day there was an issue. But you guys did not. I had to contact Toyota Corp because your service department lack of or not wanting to address the issue at hand. Toyota Corp gave me the option to take it back to you guys or go somewhere else. Obviously, after being lied to twice by your service department, I went to another dealer, Fox Toyota. They did infact test drove the truck for a few miles and heard the extreme seat rattle. Fox Toyota replaced the seat frame, and I have not had any sort of noise or rattle from the seat since. Fox Toyota took care of the issue without hesitation, and I am forever grateful for Fox Toyota for handling and fixing the seat in a very professional manner. The rattling noise was so bad before Fox Toyota took care of it.The first issue I had with your service department was the day I picked up my truck from buying it. I noticed I had a tire low warning pressure light on my dash. After having the tire dismounted, one of the TPMS sensors was broken, and you guys tried to make me pay for a new TPMS sensore. My truck wasn't even 3 days old, and I raised a stink for you guys blaming me. Had to get the GM involved because of your refusal to fix it. Eventually, your service department finally replaced the sensor.I had two extremely bad experiences at Matick Toyota service department. I truly hope you take my review seriously and service people better than I was at your service department because you guys drop the ball twice on two easily fixable issues.Never even received an apology, which would have been greatly appreciated and would have gone a long way in showing some kind of integrity when dropping the ball like you guys have. Toyota Corp and Fox Toyota really went above and beyond to fix the issue and follow up with me after the fact.

HAPPY HAPPY: Called and spoke with John in used car sales yesterday Jan 30th 2023. We were working on a purchase of a 2017 Ford F150. After getting all the details I told John I want the truck and that I will buy it. Several hours went by and I wasn't able to get John on the phone to finalize the deal, with a wire or however they would have liked to proceed as I was coming from Northern Michigan 3hrs away to pickup the truck. Finally around 3:30pm I receive a call back and a message from John stating they sold the truck to someone else. I called and spoke to John and asked why when I expressed I would buy the truck would they sell it from under me after all the time we spent working on this? His response to me was that just by me expressing that I would buy the truck wasn't enough for them. What does that mean? You didn't even allow me to speak with your used car manager or finance manager to arrange a wire or anything for me to get this purchase done before going and wasting my time and selling the vehicle out from under me. If this is how this dealership wants to conduct business I suggest others do not waste time on shopping here unless you are right there holding the keys in your hand personally that way you can fight to the death to purchase a vehicle you are interested in. What a horrible experience and dishonest way to run a business.

Then when the sales man saw we were getting upset, he asked for our insurance. So which is it, can we test drive or not? Guess they didn’t want to make a sale.
Romeo: The after-hours car drop off method for servicing your car is very convenient and easy. I highly prefer this method since I am busy most of my days at work can’t make it within business hours. Thanks to Mike for being very friendly.
Tyler Johnson: Josh was an awesome salesman. He kept me up to date on delivery and everything regarding my purchase of my GR86. I spoke to Mackenzie at first and got no real updates or communication regarding a purchase. She turned me off the dealership immediately and I was going to look elsewhere but my parents had bought 2 cars from Josh and told me to try talking to him first before I gave up. I’m so glad I took their advice! I will be back to Josh for any of my future vehicle purchases! If you’re going here to purchase a vehicle I would go with Josh over any of the other salesmen.

Kevin Weltzin: We bought a CPO sienna from George in Dec of 2022. We love the car and our buying experience from him was one of the best I’ve had to date. Unfortunately I cannot say the rest of the dealership is something I’d recommend or even go back to. The night we bought the car we got pushed to finish financing it that night, we were more than happy to come back the next day (we had to anyway to drop off the second set of keys). Kelvin (the finance manager) was visibly annoyed of working later and that our child was getting fussy after being at the dealer for multiple hours. Once the dust had settled with the new car we noticed a few things that were wrong during the buying process that should have been checked during the CPO process and are directly called out in the Toyota check (‘missing seat belt parts, missing trim, 12v system not working, car not cleaned and seats not actuated). It took me 4 trips to get the items corrected and even when I received it back a piece of trim had been removed by accident and not replaced.Sales (George) 5/5Finance (Kelvin) 1/5Service/Parts 0/5Overall: 2/5 likely won’t return
Mamadou Barry: I’ve been to this dealership twice so far and I honestly wish I read the reviews about their service prior to going here. Both times I’ve went in for issues that they were not able to resolve, luckily the first time I wasn’t charged because the car is still under warranty. I went in today to fix the alignment on my car and after waiting for several hours the car is still having issues with the alignment. These people may seem kind but they’re very shady and have bad business ethics. I’ve seen them do this with other customers as well where they’ll “fix” one or two issues and then proceed to tell you that there’s something else wrong with the car that they couldn’t fix. They’re also not upfront about their prices - beware of going to this place for service

Tanjibul Hasan: I would recommend everyone not to go there for servicing on Fridays. Because they rush to get the job done, skip lot of works, and don't work properly. I have purchased the package for three oil change, six tire rotation, and six car wash for $179. They just changed the engine oil but they didn't rotate the tires and neither washed the car. When I asked about them regarding car wash, they started to explain things that doesn't make sense. I have been taking my SUV there since 2021. They washed my SUV despite of the dent all along, but this time they were asking me to fix the dent. Also the person recommended me to take my SUV to Suburban collision shop. When I asked them why they washed my SUV before for so many times, I didn't get a good answer. The service advisor just denied the fact that they didn't rotate the tires.The service advisor Richard sarcastically asked me to fix the dent and then he will wash my SUV.Is that how you treats your customers?He was awful on the phone call and didn't wanted to accept any of the fact rather keep saying same thing again and again.The service advisors are not at all friendly and don't want to help. Probably they are under paid and don't care about customers. I had terrible experience regarding my vehicle service and will think twice before going their again.Overall experience is just awful!!!

Went to service desk about hour later to inquire of status and i could see my vehicle just being brought in and to be put on hoist. Service was completed about half hour later. So 1 1/2 hours at dealershipSpoke with service mgr and expressed disappointment in service and how long it took. I missed another appointment because of it.Dealership could do better job of communicating with customers. If they will not be able to perform service on time, when customers have appointments, they should let them know. They knew they were running behind. I could have rescheduled the tire rotation for another day.

I stopped in and met with Scott Tekely around 2:15 today, he looked at my car, offered me $660 over the Kelley Blue Book offer, cut a check immediately. He knew I needed a vehicle for 8 days while I waited for my new car to arrive from another dealership and offered me one of their rentals for a very reasonable fee. I was out the door in less than an 90 minutes. I would not hesitate to do business with this dealership again.

Tai Nguyen: I wish to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Suburban Toyota of Troy. On 04/17/2023, I brought my 2017 Toyota Rav4 XLE Hybrid in for an all-wheel alignment. During the service, the technician responsible for loosening the bolts to perform the alignment did so without taking the necessary precautions, resulting in the bolts being stripped or snapped.I was informed that I would be responsible for the cost of replacing the damaged bolts, despite the fact that they had never been touched before and were in good condition prior to the service. As a new car owner, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of care and professionalism displayed by the technician.
The patriot: Great and professional staff. My first experience with them was a very satisfying. I bought my first tacoma from them and definitely I will come again for my next purchase. If you want to deal with an accurate employee, ask for leng, very professional and responsive and helpful, and I do highly recommend them.

Noticed my brakes had been grinding and took them in, disregarding the "Green" indicator sticker from my oil change ~6 months previously. Found out left brake pad was grinding on rotor. Along with other service suggestions and a text that said "Let me know if you have any questions". Had to call to ask about what services were necessary as the RO totaled $3k. Replaced brake pads and rotors and added additional maintenance service. Got home to a coupon in the mail for brake pads (offer existing when I had them replaced).Called to ask if I could be compensated for the offer, or credited because I was not told about it in store. Told me there was nothing they could do. I will be serving my vehicle elsewhere moving forward. Customer #151954

I felt very comfortable the whole time thanks to him. The waiting time was exactly he told me too. I brought my kids in at the dealership and Joshua was good with my kids as well. The technical service itself was good too. My car felt better after the maintenance service was done. It takes me almost one hour from my current home to this dealership but it’s worth driving there because I tried my current neighbor dealership which was terrible. I’ve been a customer with this Fox Toyota Rochester for the past 9 years and they have never disappointed me.

peter moy: Do NOT get oil changes here. I tried to use a 20$ coupon they mailed me and they added an additional $15 misc. charge. $115 to change oil? I called another nearby Toyota dealership and they said it would have charged me $77 including taxes. When I went back to the service manager (John Mertz) and asked him, he called me a jerk for complaining. He told me when I brought my truck in it would be $95 before I showed him the coupon. Who would have thought there would be almost a $40 difference in price between Toyota dealerships?
Mo Mo: I came on today for my refund because i was overcharged by $45 that i noiced myself. Had i not i would’ve never been refunded because even though i complained and service manager Michael Jakonowski stated “my review was disturbing, nonsense and untrue.” So because of that and being scammed and overcharged initially i take my 4 down to a 1. I dont have to deal with a combative power struck manager going back and forth with me in a passive aggressive manner, or at all!Mike Toussant is the only adviser here with sense everyone else literally stares blankly. I get that its Rochester Hills but Black people are nearly everywhere at this point…. And they have the one token black employee that works here even he acts weird and stares. Today was my last straw though, thanks to service manager Michael Jakonowski, i will never return nor refer anyone. Why would i do that when i was told to my face i dont matter?They let anybody be manager these days I guess.P.s service costs are going up because the real money maker is the service department anyway people are Not buying cars like that anymore. Still no excuse for these dumb high prices for an oil change and tuneup. No way that should be $750! That was my original quote. I wound up paying $668 but was still overcharged by $45 in the end. Which i got back today. Maybe they were hoping i wouldn’t pay attention/find out?!?

That is all I’ve driven for the last 30+ year’s .My only complaint is the cost of routine maintenance. There is no reason why every time you visit, you get hit w/ outrageous estimates. Always over $1,000. After eliminating some of what is suppose to be routine, I can get out of there around $800( which is still ridiculous).. I suppose this is why others eventually decide to go to local service stores, to keep cost affordable.

Bostody Hopkin: The guys in the service area needs to replace the 2 girls at the cash register counter. The service staff is more upbeat and friendly and welcoming. They are indifferent and inconsiderate. I don't know if it just towards women or they're not the peppiest in the morning. The one lady been there longer than the girl with the braids maybe she told her not to put too much effort in smiling or staying off your phone when customers come to the counter. Need more outlets in waiting area

Dianna Knight: We brought our 2015 Dodge Ram to this dealership one because we bought it there and because we had to get our oil pan replaced. Mike assisted us and was able to cover it under our warranty. A week later my husband was at work 40 minutes away and our truck wouldn't start. We were able to have it towed back to the dealership for free with our warranty we got and when it was beyond their scope they took it to their partner dodge dealer where we needed the starter replaced. Because it had to be ordered and my husband was without a car already for several days, Mike was able to get us a loaner. It was perfect timing because my husband needed to attend important meetings at work. Thank you so much Mike for your help! My husband said you were so professional the entire time and really kept him in the loop of what was going on.

Cody Adams-General Manager stepped up and gave me good money on my trade in. James Gerrad -sales manager gave me the best deal in town. Believe me I know because I shopped 5 other stores. And Abdul Levy-finance manager was very transparent. He explained everything to me very thoroughly. My experience was A1 and they have a customer for life. Definitely would recommend them to anyone

I am very satisfied, a good car, very comfortable, easy to drive and most importantly I feel safe in it. I really appreciate the seller in the Toyota center Alexander Lavrov, he helped me a lot, he explained the advantages of this car. He offered a very good price that matches the quality of this car. All transaction was a couple of hours included re-registration, credit history check and signing of documents.

Jeremy Boston: Sales team is excellent when I purchased my car in May of 2022. Knew what I wanted, test drove a vehicle on the lot, and placed my order. Car came ahead of delivery schedule which was awesome and I got a fair price for my trade in. All positive so the dealership would be a 5/5 for their sales team. Their service department is another story. My second visit is captured below: Upon arrival I was greeted by the service advisor and I advised him of my previous experience for a tire rotation which I spent over 3 hours at the dealership for. He told me a bunch of reason that could have happened, none of which included an updated which never happened. Regardless, he said he would update me in an hour. Well, that never happened. In fact, my car sat while three others were taken back (2 that showed up after mine) for an hour. After that I went to locate a manager who had my car back and taken care of within 30-40 minutes. I sincerely appreciate the manager and the techs time on my vehicle. I hope your service advisors receive much needed training in customer service because I have dealt with 2 different representatives and both have been absolute nightmares.In short 5/5 for sales. 1/5 for service after the sale for their front facing customer service. 3-4/5 for their service manager and actual techs that you’ll likely not interact with.
Eric Osborn: I love Toyota, but you should ABSOLUTELY AVOID this dealership. In July of 2022 I took my car in for an oil change. The dealer found an oil leak and determined that I needed a Valve Cover Assembly. I had it fixed and gladly paid the invoice to keep my car healthy and happy. In February, another oil change and yet another oil leak. Surprised, I paid $165 for a diagnosis and was told that the head gasket was leaking and it would cost almost $4,000 to fix. I was further told that the car had at most a week or two before the head gasket would fail and I should consider buying a new car right away. We were of course, devastated.Every oil change I had done at Suburban Toyota since moving to Michigan had resulted in big costs. We have an older car, so I didn’t think much of it, even though we barely had any issues before coming to this dealership. Still, something felt off so I decided to pay for a second opinion.I contacted a well-reviewed, independent establishment to get a quote on the repair and determine if there was anything that could be done to prolong the life of the car. I was told that they’d prefer not to give me a quote until they look at it due to the fact that dealerships often misdiagnose head gasket leaks.The independent mechanic examined the car and said that there was no indication whatsoever of a head gasket leak, that instead they believed it was the Engine Valve Cover Gasket. The same Valve Cover gasket that Suburban Toyota had “fixed” in July. Due to the dealership’s diagnosis however, the mechanic requested that I drive it 250 miles (well beyond that 2-week life expectancy) and they would check again to be absolutely certain. Additionally, they showed me that my Vapor Cannister was broken. They were surprised it was not caught in the inspection at the dealership. Note: The mechanic did not charge me for either evaluation.In March, I returned and the independent mechanic confirmed that without doubt that it was a valve gasket cover leak and not the head gasket. Total cost to repair $303.24.Suburban Toyota diagnosed and failed to correctly fix an issue in July. The same issue arose in February but they misdiagnosed the issue making me believe that our car was a lost cause. Had I not gotten a second opinion, we would have had to buy a new car and lose ours.At this point, I knew I was done with this dealership. I contacted the Service Manager to see what could be done. I explained that I had no confidence in the service department’s ability to fix my car. First, they failed to fix it correctly, then they misdiagnosed it when it was clearly visible what the issue was. I didn't ask for a full refund (though good customer service would say I probably deserved one), only the $165 I paid for them to misdiagnose the issue and the difference in the cost I paid to have the Valve Gasket correctly repaired from what I paid Toyota.The manager was unapologetic and refused any refund, saying my only option was to bring it back to Suburban Toyota. I explained that they had already performed the initial repair incorrectly. Then they misdiagnosed the leak to a catastrophic level as well as missing a key component problem in the inspection as well. Unfortunately, this lead me to believe that they are either incompetent or trying to pull a fast one. Neither instills any faith that they will do their job correctly. I simply wanted to be done with the dealership. I didn’t trust that they would be able to fix our car and in truth, we were worried that they might even create more issues.Ultimately, I purchased a service. They failed to deliver on that service. I wanted a portion of my money back. Suburban Toyota refused. I am not generally one to complain but there were failures on every level of service from Suburban Toyota and I sincerely don’t want anyone else to have to face the same nightmare. They almost cost my family our car. Avoid this dealership and this service center. There are much better options out there.Today, our car is running great and it's happy we're steering clear of Suburban Toyota.

Cynthia Yates: Why does a scheduled oil change appointment take 3 hours? There’s honestly no point in bothering to schedule in advance. They start on your vehicle when the wind blows just right, don’t bother making an appointment and just walk in.

I'll try to be as objective as possible.The good:- The scheduling is easy, Adeline is great.- They have a convenient shuttle service.- They give you a complete report of your car service history before deciding what's needed/recommended.- They give you a nice report of the result of the inspection done to your car. GREEN/YELLOW/RED to know what requiresattention.The bad:- I went for a routine oil change + filter. The guy on reception immediately tried to upsell me a 1k service supposedly due to some overdue flushes. I declined, except for a minor maintenance on the battery, cost went down to ~$200.- Told me the car would be ready in about 2 hours tops. I left it at noon and did not get my car until next day! past noon. So o 24hrs+. No notifications, no apologies, nothing. I called three times in the same day, they stopped receiving calls 15min before closing hours.- The tracking system for my car never updated pass the 1 stage and then stop working altogether at some point in the night (link broken) and never recover.- When going to pick my car next day they tried to schedule me again for yet another thing. No apologies, no explanation of why it took them so long to service my car, nothing.- They assigned me "Roger" as my expert advisor to whom I never saw or talked to. As if the guy on reception knew everything about my car already.I was lucky I didn't need my car the same day nor the next day in the morning. One hears stories about dealerships, but I still decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I left the shop feeling frustrated, annoyed and angry at myself for going there in the first place for such a basic service routine. I get that they want to make the most out of every customer but this was just a terrible way to introduce yourselves to a new customer.
