Tennerra Winery: what do users think?
Len Miller: We had the pleasure of enjoying a dinner an dining experience with Nancy and Joe. The food an atmosphere were both amazing even after I threw a vegetarian option at them last minute. This place is a hidden gem that I highly recommend all to all of my friends, if your in the area go there!! Thank you both so much for a great evening.Len and Amy Miller.
Mike Niemczyk: My wife and I stumbled upon this winery during our most recent date night, to say the road less traveled is the most rewarding is an understatement when it comes to Tennerra Winery! We were searching for a place to get a couple drinks after dinner and very fortunately came across Joe and Nancy's labor of love oddly far down the list of nearby places. We were warmly greeted by the owners, explained it was our first time there and started with a couple of wine flights. They have a great selection of dry and sweet wines, very knowledgeable on all of their offerings and couldn't be happier to guide you based on your tastes. Our original plan of just a couple drinks turned into more than few, along with an evening filled with laughs and delicious appetizers. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tennerra to anyone, we'll certainly be back to enjoy more tasteful pairings and can't wait to try the monthly dinners! Thank you SO much Joe and Nancy!
Denise Goldsmith: Nancy and Joe were wonderful. The wine was delious, I say that because I drank the bottles I bought. It was our first time at a winery since Covid-19. We felt safe and loved.
Mike Gerhardt: Great boutique winery hidden in an industrial building. Great wines from dry reds to fruit wine. Nancy and Joe were great hosts and we had a wonderful evening. Definitely will be back...
Christopher Bush: Found this place kind of at random while browsing Google Maps. It's in the middle of a large industrial park so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Joe (the owner) and his son Adam took care of my wife and I with several tastes of wine and a charcuterie board while keeping us company at the bar. We also met several other patrons while there, this place has a great community with a real laid back attitude. I'm excited to go back!
Evelyn Young: Nancy & Joe Sterling & their staff are awesome! They made the family & I feel welcome. I can't wait to visit again.
D R: We are in town from Illinois for my sister friend birthday celebration. We had the best experience. The owners and staff were exceptional. The variety of wine and the quality of the wine will not disappoint. I highly recommend.
Lora Speelman: Absolutely love love this place. Not only is the wine amazing, the people who own it were the friendliest people we ever met. We will be returning again and again
Brian Buck: Amazing wine selection and great people... Sterling Heights hidden secret. Highly recommend a visit to them... You'll be back
Lisa Breuhan: Absolutely amazing wine and the owners were as exceptional as the wine. Highly recommend visiting and taking some of their delicious wine home. Cannot wait to go back!
Jennifer Prahler: Can’t wait to see Nancy and Joe tomorrow for the pairing event! Such a fun little place, they make it so inviting and welcoming!
Kris McClenthen: Enjoyed our wine sampling! Just like drinking with friends. Glad we met them at the Dodge Park farmers market.
Danielle Ross: My fiancè and I absolutely loved our experience here! We had just found out about it and decided to check it out, and I am so glad we did. We both bought a flight to try out the different wines and ended up purchasing a glass as well. Joe and Nancy kept us company during the tasting and were wonderful to talk to about the company and themselves in general. We felt very safe while tasting as well, and are happy we made the visit. Ended up buying a bottle of the Baco Noir and the Black Forest, hoping to come back soon!
Stephanie Babs: I can’t even find words perfect enough. Nancy & Joe “The Grape” are not only extremely knowledgeable about wine, they are also kind and will ensure you have the most enjoyable experience. I couldn’t recommend enough that you must try Tennerra if you have not already. You will not be let down!
James Sliwinski: Been to numerous wineries, from all over North America, this by far has the best selection, taste and hospitality.Highly recommend.
Paul Zernec: The wine is great and the owners treat their customers like family.
Billy L: Such a fun winery! The owners are super sweet and hospitable. Good wines and worth the stop. Thank you!
Troy Davis: Lovely mom and pop winery. Both of them are very friendly and serve up great wine and conversation!
K S: This place is amazing. They have a large variety of yummy wines. The owners are so sweet and great company. The winery has a following of regulars and always seem to have some kind of fun event happening.
John Vichinsky: Great owners. Wine selections are great and unique. Must try! It's Vegan Friendly! Vegan friendly you ask? They will tell how besides the obvious.
George Hartley: One of my favorite places to stop in for a glass of wine with friends or just by myself. The owners, Nancy and Joe, make you feel right at home while you sample their great selection of wines. Sterling Heights should do more to promote this "Gem" in their city.

Total Wine & More: what do users think?
Teresa Deshazer: Love this place
David: They have everything. By Michigan standards. My more recent visits (at off-hours) were all excellent — lots of parking, more in stock than I was looking for, helpful staff, nearly-non-existent lines at checkout, and fantastic cashiers.
Bob Phillips: A bit overwhelming. But has every thing you need to stock your home bar.
Detroit84: They have what you need!
Adam Muldermans: Make sure you have a couple hours to spare, they have so much to choose from. Great store.
John Weglarz: This place literally has ONE bottle return machine. And it NEVER works. And when it does, it won't accept at least half of bottles I purchased FROM THIS SAME STORE! Crooks...save the gas money and pay the extra dollar somewhere else that'll accept returns.
Patricia Barnett: I love this place and it was my first time visiting. Well, definitely be back again, and I told everyone about this place and how helpful the lady was for me. I wished I could remember her name (I was the lady who was looking for the Yulupa sparkling wine 😋)
Kelly Mile: I found one of the drinks that I was looking forever. The workers were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Nancy Patterson: They've got it!
Rufus: Love this place affordable prices
Tina Wright: This place is awesome
Rob Harrison: Not much for craft beers, tons is basic wines. Hardly any ice wine and very limited stock on the good stuff. Maybe 4 bottles total in the store for a 100$ bottle of ice wine.
carolyn gac: you can find anything here My go ro place for adult beverages
Tina: Great people! Always willing to asking if your in need for help! And stocked on everything! Definitely will recommend! They do Need a better reward program though.
Natasha May: Great choice
Marge Austin: They carry just about anything you want. I was disappointed with what I purchased. I had a wonderful apricot brandy in Hungary. The apricot brandy i purchased was nothing like the brandy I've had. It is had no flavor and was very strong.
vwmoneypitgarage: East to west coast total wine and more has you covered.
Boost Controls: Marginally better than the liquor isle at Meijer. Service was awful and the staff was rude.
Michael Kulpa: Total Wine has it all and then some. Honestly the prices are awesome; same items we get at or stores are 3-5 dollars cheaper here. It’s definitely a one stop shop for any alcohol you will need, they have it all. It seems like the aisles go forever; best recommendation is to go in there with a plan of certain items and stick to that.If you take your wife plan to be in the store for a while and you can easily drop $300-$400 without even trying. This was our first visit and only planned to get a bottle of Amarone wine; over $300+ later. Also they have a rewards card to build points. Issues is due to Michigan law you can only redeem on non-alcoholic items but still better than nothing.

Unwined Winery: what do users think?
Kathy Komorek: Friendly staff. Fun events are held here.
Brian D: April 2023 - came here with the wife around 915pm on a Saturday. The place was slowing down but still had many people here. We had enough time to order our flights and enjoy sitting outside. My favorite was the Dragon. Not too sweet but just right. A very good wine and one I suggest. I also did the cherry bomb jalapeno. WOW, that will wake you up and you can taste the jalapeno. It's ok.I took a picture of events they have for the month of April. I was told the events are listed on their website. Overall, a great place to visit.
Nancy Franz: Great space for food, friends and an amazing wine menu!
Sara Follebout: Great atmosphere, fun time at a fundraiser event, wonderful artichoke Flatbread and of course, excellent wine!
Jared Ponder: What a great variety of wines they have. Everything was amazing and the small plates tapas were fun to pair with the wines. I wish they had a wine club or a way to get my favorite bottles every month at a subscription level. They could do a sweet only level, a mid tier level and a exclusive level where you get a case and a bottle of something exclusive. Maybe a points system too so if you buy outside of your monthly subscription it can get you a free tasting or small plate or some little benefit for spending X points.
Leslie Ghesquiere: Went here last night (02-24-2023) for the first time.Totally awesome place.Excellent wine, great and friendly service. Will definitely be going there often.
Sarah DHondt: 5,000 stars!!! I was a sweet white wine girl until I went to Unwined to un wind and decided to get a flight and try some reds and rose's. I can now proudly say that I love ALL wines and I am officially addicted to the goat cheese flatbread. I seriously have dreams about it.
lisa balkevitch: Unwined Winery is a great place to relax after any day. The staff are great always checking to make sure you are satisfied and taken care of. Wine is delicious!
Patricia Oneil: Great wine and great service!
L T: Such a marvelous experience! My family and I celebrated a birthday here and it was all great. Food was tasty and staff was great!
Jenn Chase: Absolutely awesome. Highly recommend, we went on a Saturday just after they opened and we were the only ones inside. Great atmosphere, delicious wines. I love every single sweet wine they have guacamole was on point and the coffee wine was a nice after dinner wine!Update: went on a Sunday and There was a baby shower going on inside so we choose to sit outside and it was a blast. I highly recommend their: goat cheese flat bread, spinach artichoke bread, blue cheese and pear flat bread and Also, there cherry bomb wine has a great taste the bomb part not so bomb, but definitely worth a taste. (Read description and you'll know what I mean) stop in and grab some deliciously flavored wine!!!
mike d: First time customer, decided not to goto MBTB and just did a quick search and found them. It is a great place happy we went. Wine flight was very good, had some unique tasting items and even a slushy wine. Nice outside seats. And reasonable prices. Already had dinner so we did not try any food but will for sure next time. They have some events coming up like live music so we will be back for sure, see you next week.
Amy A Schultz: Love this little local wine place. Great food, fantastic service, cool vibe! Get the wine slushy!
Minny Sparks: Love this show and had great wine in good atmosphere
Amanda Fromm: This place is a lot of fun! The Flatbread pizza was amazing- we got 3 different types and loved them all. The wine flights are reasonably priced and it was fun! I can't say I loved the wine but I'd go back and try more! There's a nice little area to sit outside at when there's good weather too.
Kathleen Firestone: Tasty wine, good food, so much fun on Trivia night!
Bart Warriner: A must try for the wine enthusiasts!!
Linda Sell: Was only there for a quick visit but did a half flight with good guidance from the bar. They were all delicious! Quick service and attention.
Erik Engnell: Awesome variety of wine and some of my wife's & my favorite wines. Casual light dining with great selections. Great date night place to go!
H P: Nice little winery. Did a tasting of sweet wines, they were all good
Frank Mogan: Great atmosphere and great wine, friendly staff

St. Julian Winery & Distillery Tasting Room: what do users think?
Ben Orr: We used to go to this place a couple of times a month and always had a perfect time. Now we almost never go except to pick up our wine. They've gone thru several managers, and yet still nothing gets actually managed. The service is terrible EVERY time. As several others have commented. Clearly despite responding to reviews on here about their poor service, they are not addressing the issue. It takes forever to get anything in this place, and the servers pick and choose who they decide to help. Some people get service, others don't. If you have an hour to wait for a glass of wine and the bill, have at it.
Brittany Price: Update: Went in a few days later and it was just a bad day on Saturday. Spoke with the manager and learned people called out and things were crazy. Coming in today things were great.I'm really disappointed in this location now. For transparency I used to work at this location before and maybe "I will have been to close to the situation" as I have heard before. When I worked there there was a strong emphasis on making sure everyone is greeted, even if it's just to say "welcome". I walked in with my parents today to enjoy time with them and enjoy the delicious wine. However, we sat there for 12 minutes were never greeted or acknowledged. However, a table that came in about 6 minutes after us and sat next to us were greeted and given menus within 2 minutes.
S Trouble: Starting to rethink our WC membership. Stopped in on Saturday walked out 15 minutes later after no acknowledgment that we were there, however a table who came in after us was dealt with, in a fashion.
Karen England: AJ is wonderful 👏Can't wait till Michigan governor opens up the restaurants and bars.I miss Ernest and AJ. 😭
Jerry White: Monica is majestic and mysterious. Her passion for customer service is unprecedented. Her confidence and radiant personality reflects through her proud and knowledgeable staff. I would recommend this experience to any and everyone.
Heather Lee-Deibler: I think the atmosphere would have been better served without the extreme bright lights. I felt like I was being interrogated, not enjoying a relaxing evening of wine tasting.
Jill Marie: Used to be a big fan of St Julian. After yesterday we won’t be giving them anymore business. We were going to sign up for the wine club, but we went to St Julian around 815 last night to pick up a few bottles. There was a sign on the door that said closing early due to weather. I looked in the establishment and there were three people working and about 10 people sitting at the bar. A guy with glasses mouthed to me “we are closed” as he’s serving people at the bar. He couldn’t have let me in to purchase a few bottles and I would’ve left after? Seems like they discriminate against who they want coming in. Won’t be back!!!
John Voymas: Very friendly and helpful staff. As a wine Club member a flight or full glass is free whenever we stop in. The Cream Sherry is a favorite of mine to sit and sip when relaxing at home.
KRISSY: I didn't have the best experience at this location, maybe it was just the day my friends and I went according to other reviews, because I've been to the St. Julian's in Frankenmuth and was much more pleased by service and atmosphere. At this location in Troy, we were greeted by children who gave us our menus. That's cute in a diner, but not a winery. We came to relax and be amongst other adults, hence the type of establishment...plus, it took about 40 minutes alone just to get our checks at the end (and it was very slow, not many other people there). Our waitress was nice, but we were not checked on at all and not sure if that had to do with the kids or what. Our drinks however, did come out mostly as we hoped on a nice serving board which I will provide a quick video. It was $10 for a flight of 6 wines, spirits, ciders etc. of your choosing (I believe they were 1 oz. pours). The reason I'm giving stars is because the facility was pretty clean. It was nice since it had the option for bar seating or little tables to sit at. Also, the waitress was nice to us regardless she had kids involved. Parking is a little odd due to the Mall's structure and ongoing construction, but I recommend parking in back-there is an entrance on both sides.
Raven Jayy: Recently visited here with a friend and our server was so sweet, it was her first day. However the assistant manager Bree did not great us very kindly. She was rude to her team and short with them as if them being new and asking for help was a bother. She never smiled. It made the atmosphere painful. We’ll come back, but hopefully she’ll be gone.
Mary Van Damme: Wine was great
deona thomas: Poor service and the associates were not aware of the policies when concerning group parties. We even had an encounter with the a family member who claimed to be related to the owners of the distillery good at first. But the fact that they let us walk out just let's me know all I need to about this establishment. Mind you this was our first encounter. Never again.
Renae Turner (IRO): Good atmosphere.
Natalie S: First time patrons. Great selection of wines, spirits, ciders etc. Snacks were of good quality. Staff was nice. The only negative was the ambiance. It lacked that cozy/ warm vibe of a winery/distillery. Bright white LED lighting made it feel cold, like an office or warehouse. Add a little lite jazz or lounge music plus warm lighting, and id give it 5 stars. Make it feel like an escape from the commercial/ industrial area that its in.
Tamikia J: I have been a loyal customer and been apart of the wine club for years prior this this location opening!! I have even been employed here part time when the location first opened so I know how it should be tanned. However the customer service has gone down tremendously. On multiple occasions I have came into the Troy location to pick up my orders and to have a tasting and have been told that I came to late to do a full tasting. HOW???? Each time I have came in been at least 45 mins until closing not with a group of people just me myself and I! I have expressed my concern with the manager and yet nothing have been addressed because it happened yet again. Why can I finish a tasting in 45 mins and why can't I be served? There was still group of people sitting and tasting. Not to mention health and safety is not enforce here. While waiting for my carry out since I can't have sit and taste. I noticed that there's not washing hands in between of serving clean glasses and clearing dirty used glasses. It takes 10-15 mins just be welcomed. Now I am second guessing my membership due to the lack of customer service, attentiveness and safety of customers. I am very disappointed on the direction the location has taken the St.Julian brand.
Andrea Nelson: I am a wine club member and LOVE going to this location! The staff is always so nice and make it a very pleasant experience. Great place to go with friends and the wine is too good to not leave with a bottle.. or 2! :)
Cre Wood: Excellent Service - Jamie and Asia were extremely helpful
Roberta Peek: Wonderful staff. My friend is part of the wine club. She gets a free wine tasting with 3 friends each month and a discount. It's fun getting together and tasting the new wines and ciders. They have liquor as well. But those wine slushy concoctions are delicious.
Lexee Brown: This has by far been my worst experience here. We sat at the bar and we were not greeted. Jamie came over after about 5-7 mins of walking past us and simply asked were we apart of the wine club. No smile, hello or introduction ( I overheard her name). Very unwelcoming to say the least. Our server who was a male continuously stopped our service just to chat with other patrons. He seemed very annoyed that I ask we receive our entire flight at once since we had to wait 10 mins for him to return after pouring our first tasting and we were not given or offered any water during our tasting. Maybe the staff was overwhelmed with how busy it was, but I will not be returning. There is another wine tasting room not to far from this location that offers better service. Also, another staff member wiped out a glass with a dirty drying towel. See picture.
Krista Eash: Love going to st Julian!!
Shelby Burton: We all had a great time. Everything tasted so good
