tom miskell: i thought i needed a new water softener. Danny came out with a new one. He checked my old one and said there"s nothing wrong with it.The contoller wasn't programmed correctly.which he corrected. He could have easily sold me a new one and i wouldn't have known it didn't need one. He is probably the most honest softener person in the business!!!!!! This is the guy to use!!!! FIVE STARS!!!!!! He will do all my servicing!!!!!

richard hanlon: Danny performed a repair today, called and he was here in 30 minutes, just got lucky with the timing. He rebuilt the control piston on an iron tank that was just cycling thru backwash without stopping. I don't doubt that another provider would have said I needed an entirely new control unit and I would probably have waited a month for a back-ordered, expensive module. Instead he took it apart and rebuilt it. He's excellent!

Late Monday we noticed our water (from a well) was discolored and cloudy. The next morning the water stopped working completely and Tad stopped by that evening. He replaced a switch to get the water running again and was out the next day to check the well pump. It had cracked and was causing the water to be cloudy. Within a couple hours he had replaced the pump and all other parts and everything was working again. A huge relief with the holidays coming up and very thankful to have such a great person and company we can count on.Thanks Tad.

You would think it was the end of the world for her. After she had her little fit typing in the number she abruptly handed me back my card and said sign this on the desk. Dan Gitre: Jason was out to see why my water was not being softened. $35 service charge to determine the timer was not calculating water usage and therefore the water softener was not recycling. Workaround was to set timer to automatically run softener every 4th night. Not sure if this will work, but I'm thrilled that his solution was a short term "patch", vs a $2,600 new system. We will see what happens down the road, but I really do trust the guys from Douglas, they are quality people! Plus, Jason is truly an expert, he knows his trade exceptionally well.

She had softener that worked but still getting a lot of rust. They recommended changing to a $4000 unit. When I looked at it the salt was out since I filled it last. She explained the bags are too heavy and she has a baby. So I filled it to the top and kept it full and it has been great. Looks like the rust was simply because she let it get too low. She didn't need a $4000 system.

But...the service call was more trouble than it's worth and charged me $50!They referred to my Reynolds softener as junk and said it didn't work. Then told me I needed a $2000+ system to replace what I have. Long story short...(Not even gonna mention the bleach fiasco) I had soft water before they came, hard water after. I called and asked please come out and fix. He said he'd try and he'd call me later. No call and we were stuck all weekend with hard metallic water. My husband called and Woody said to me if it's something we did and he has to fix it he's charging. We didn't touch it!We had another company come out only to tell us our softener is working great and somehow mysteriously our softener was bypassed so we weren't getting soft water out all. This company came out free of charge and put our mind at ease.I won't be calling Lakeland in the future. Mistake or not, they left us hanging and we paid for it.
