Wynne Erickson: I took a painting of my great-great grandmother, Eliza, to Jennifer Lis in June for repair work and cleaning. She told me that she would be in contact with me and that it would take six months to complete the work. I asked if we could get it back by Christmas and she said yes. I called just before Christmas to see how she was coming on it. And found out that she had not done anything to the painting. She said she would call me the next day and she didn't. I called and left a message to call. I still have not heard from her. I am very worried. This painting is dear to us.

We were told it was dirty when we purchased it 20 yrs ago but had no idea what a difference a cleaning could make. It is so much brighter! I never knew the sky in the painting was really blue! DIANE HEADRICK: I’m so disappointed with this company and the way they have conducted their business. I’ve read their replies to similar situations as mine and they make great excuses with no decent product.I brought a crystal flute (I bought in Germany)that was broken at the stem in April 2022. They assured me they could fix it and wanted 1/2 down with no quote for a finished date. “We’ll call you”. Three months later I called and they assured me “it would be done”. I called in another 3 mo. only for a new excuse. I’m a patient woman and wanted to give grace and the benefit of the doubt only to be lied to. Another 3 months and a different excuse. Each time I called they said another week LIES!!!I finally went in to see them face to face after a full year only to be treated as a bothersome customer. They were rude and very unprofessional. “ Stop calling” and they tried to show me the problem, I agreed to let them continue working for another month. It still wasn’t done today “it’s on her bench” (well as it should have been done) I took my piece back and they wouldn’t give me my deposit back. They feel they earned it. I feel the should forfeit all their time. They shouldn’t take anymore items until they are caught up. Bad business
Mary Lennox: I brought an angel from my mothers nativity set that was bought in 1945. The wing was broken with a clean break. I brought it in 12/4/21 to get glued back together. I went back 3 times in the last 9 months to check on status needless to say it wasn’t done so I took it home to get it worked on elsewhere before the Christmas holiday. I have had a brass table done by house of Renew two years ago. It was done in a timely manner but it was very expensive to do even with their promotions of 15% off. Obviously the angel wasn’t priority for this company. I am disappointed they didn’t even contact me letting me know if they were behind or whatever their problem was. It’s too bad that this company House of Renew only chooses choice items they want to get done. Maybe they make more money this way. I would not recommend house of renew at all. It’s pick and choose for them.

Liz B: If I could post zero stars I would.I brought in a picture that was basically a framed collage. A pen had fallen off leaving a tear of the background of the photo that happened during a move. The corners of the frame also had some chipping.House of Renew said they could fix it no problem......2 YEARS LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually it was over two years... like 2 years and 2 months (I gave 2 months of slack due to Covid....). I actually don't even care if it would have taken that long for it to come back looking great. But it didn't.I got it back. You can clearly tell where the pen had just literally been picked up and glued back on. The tear is there and nothing was done to try and repair it. Nor was it explained to me or brought up to me that they couldn't fix it properly.The corners that were damaged were never touched. ANDDDD they SCRATCHED my frame. I do have before pictures when I gave it to them, and the after when I unwrapped it.They gave it to me wrapped so there was no way for me to see these issues at the time of pickup. I messaged/emailed House Of Renew through their website and gave them over a week to respond to me..... no response. I am SUPER disappointed. I will never go back, nor would I recommend anyone to take their repairs here.

Gary1225: I brought an amazing plate back from Turkey as a Christmas gift for someone special and it somehow got a large chip in it on the trip home. An artist friend highly recommended that I take it to House of Renew to be repaired. I was given a time for the repair which took it past Christmas. I let the incredibly nice and helpful owner, Ruth, know my dilemma and she promised to "see what she could do." I received a call a full 2 weeks before Christmas that it was ready. When I picked it up, I literally couldn't find the spot that was repaired. When it was pointed out to me, I still had great difficulty seeing it. I was INCREDIBLY happy with the results. I can give it as a gift without the recipient having a clue that it was repaired. I cannot recommend House of Renew strongly enough. If there was a choice for a + after the 5 stars, I would have readily checked it!

Susan Owen: I dropped off an item in February 2017. I called to ask when I could get it December 4, 2017. The owner had told me I could have it before Christmas. When I called she denied it and proceeded to tell her collegue away from the phone “I hate that f’’’ing woman”. I had my husband pick the item up immediately and get back our deposit. Sad thing is I could have had the repair done out of state from the manufacturer months ago! Buyer beware!! They are a deposit taking machine and can’t keep up with what they take in.
Mar Mcc: I picked up my item today after two and a half years! The repaired edges are visible and there is a line of discoloration along one from top to bottom. It is very sticky I don't know what that is. Very disappointed especially considering how much was charged.
