North Sails: what do users think?
Rob Kress: Wonderful place to do business with. I used to go somewhere else and I accepted the poor service because I have a smaller sailboat, and I’m not a racer spending $15,000 on a sail. I had them look at the same sails I had taken elsewhere. Turns out my bolt rope shrunk and caused the luff to bunch up. An easy fix, no need to replace the sail.
Mark Paterson: Fast, Friendly service by some true professionals, great place to take your sails for the spring checkup and repairs if needed (during the off season).
Ranam Kazziha: Great quality
Birdsoup: Good staff
Rob Ferguson: I saved up my money to buy a 3DI Racing Genoa for my J/92 and a A2 Asymmetrical 3 years ago. Right from the start the Genoa's last 2 inches of the entire leech would hook to windward almost at 90 degrees with the leech chord fully off. I sent the sail in for them to repair and had to pay for it. It did not solve the issue. Had the representative sail on the boat and mention how terrible it was and that it was a flaw in the mold process. Sent it back to the Detroit loft and they cut 2" off the leech and then gave me another bill for $200. The leech still hooks massively to windward and I have 2" less of a sail along most of the leech. It is my belief that the sail should have been sent back to the factory in Singapore where it was made. I felt bad asking this of the Loft since I was using the sail and did not want them to think I was wanting a new sail at the time. I wish somehow the issue from the factory could have been resolved so I would not be stuck with a sail that I was completely unhappy with. The A2 I purchased was okay but was clearly a generic A2 they shipped to me since it had cruising stuff on it for outside gybes that I had to rip off.
ryan weiss: These folks repaired my kite canopy. Their prices were reasonable, their service was prompt, and their work was exceptional. North Sales Detroit has exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend!
Etienne CBR: What a great welcome!!!You can feel the passion in this location.
Matthew Bondy: Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Prices for repairs very reasonable. Provided extra materials to let me complete minor repairs on my own (windsurfing sails).

Propeller Basin Marina: what do users think?
Jennifer Calabrese: Best Marina around!
Shawn Kriger: We spun a propeller on our first day at LSC. We went to Propeller Basin the next morning and it was fixed in 20 minutes. Can't thank them enough!
Jerry Scopas: I've been taking my boats there for over 20 years. It's family owned and operated.Everybody is very friendly and the work is always done in a timely manner and done right the first time. I highly recommend Propeller Basin Marina.
Byron Crowell: Wonderful atmosphere. Excellent and respectful people who has their boat at the marina. The owners are wonderful people with positive attitude.
Mark Butterfield: A great place to store your investment (boat)
Kurt Final: Awesome place to get your boat fixed
Koree Micyus: Nice quiet place. People don't leave wakes coming through. Nice boats. Good bonfires.
Zac P.: This place is a absolute joke the staff is extremely rude and have no customer service skills what so ever. My dock was under water they put a narrow plank part way down the dock leaving part of it still under water. I wasn’t gonna put up with that I moved my boat to a different marina. Then asked mike the slip rental guy for a refund and he used profanity I tried to put exactly what he said but it won’t let me so I’ll try the best I can he said “are u Shi- ing me? F no” I’m not getting my money back for a place I don’t wanna be at real professional. Then accused me of smoking pot when I don’t even smoke don’t waist your time and money at this place and the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. I will not be cussed at and accused of things I didn’t do. I will never be back!
Shane Proudfoot: Very unprofessional. Very dirty don’t waste your time and money on this place
3032 steed: They did a nice job repairing our boat.
rob carroll: Mike, jimmy and everyone at propeller basin is super friendly knowledgeable and always helpful! Thanks guys!
Veronica Gray: Love this marina. They truly treat you like family. So helpful with everything especially since my husband and I were first time boat owners. This place has many updates and looks beautiful. Very clean/beautiful restrooms. Very close to a gas/dumping stations which is a huge plus
Steve V: Love this family!
G Bates: After over a decade of storing a boat at a previous location, we decided to store our boat at propeller Basin this past year. The owners are very nice. We were very pleased with how clean our boat was in the spring. We will definitely be storing here again!
Nik K: Good place
Chris VanBelle: This is a pretty good local place. It often is pretty busy. We had the pizza and it was pretty good. It is definitely a good, close place to stop if you want a quick dinner.
Mark Bates: First year storing out boat with Prop Basin. All seems to have gone well. They took care of the requested servicing. We also had them wax the boat and it came out very nice. We are going back next year!!!
Trilo_G: E-mailed about boat on Boat Trader. No response. Two weeks later saw that the price had been dropped so sent another e-mail expressing interest and asking specific questions about boat. Also let them know I was a cash buyer and wondered why no response to last e-mail. I expressed surprise that they hadn't responded. The response was that sometimes e-mails slip through (which I understand) and that because I questioned the lack of reply, that they would not sell the boat to me. In their words "Scram."Not professional at all. Taking offense where non was intended. I now know why the boat has not sold.
Jim Repka: Nice place run by great people.
Craig VanSickle: Poor Poor Poor! So I have been dealing with Mike in sales for a few weeks and I had arranged to drop off a deposit today to hold a boat until I could get it surveyed. I spoke with him yesterday about me doing so and that he would hold it until I was about to get out of work and drop the check off. Unfortunately this was not the case, I received a text message for him at 1430 this afternoon saying he sold the boat. I do not believe in doing business this way after you already have worked out a deal with someone you should follow through. I am terrible disappointed in this business and would recommend taking your business elsewhere. I do have to say they did try to work with me on everything but when it came down to it I guess their word doesn't mean anything.
