Christine Wiener: Ok as far as reviews go this place is SMALL you can get in if your disabled but i wouldnt recommend it because there are a lot of tight corners and you will definately need help reaching things. But its cozy and smells like that deep corner of the library you go to when you need to feel calm. The atmosphere is great like a small town bookstore in the middle of the city. The service is slower but its staffed by. Volunteers so be realistic about expectations this sint your state of the art bookstore coming here your either looking for that feeling of getting lost in the library without the return date above your head or your trying to find an adventure there is no in between. My daughter and i spent a half hour there in bliss while searching and came away with a month of reading all for a more than fair price. 5/5 for the homespun bookstore feel you expect from a tiny hole in the wall which will make any reader feel like their in a magic library. As i said be careful of the actual shelves though not a place for wandering kids or people with wheelchairs comfortably.

D & D Cleaning LLC: First time in the bookstore the owner was super super helpful. My favorite part of the store was when I went up to the register. The owner of the store was reading and sharing the word with another client. It was very nice to see. The store was very clean and everybody was very Nice! If you are just getting into the Bible deeper, it's a great place to explore.

I bought 5 books & book markers for less than $19!!! Very pleasing environment & pleasant workers are a bonus!! Petite Smiley: Very difficult to pick up orders since they close at 1 pm on Fridays!!! Why close so early? Alot of us have work and we can't just leave. Also they close earlier than 5 pm on other days. I showed up at 4:50 few times and they were closed. So frustrating

This is the only handicapped accessible & convenient way to get to Library from where we were parked.The doors on K Bldg were a little quick to close especially with someone in a wheelchair. The handicapped accessible button wasn't working upstairs either on both sides of the door....We let a cop in the office know about it...these doors are too heavy for someone accompanying a person in a wheelchair if there are carrying their stuff.I'm sure they'll make it right soon.😌

Homme de Towne: Nice Arabic, persian, and middle eastern bookshop near Detroit. It has a mix of secular and religious books, from novels (especially Lebanese literature) to poetry to mostly Shia Islam, but a few Sunni and even Christian books ( including the bible in Arabic). A bit disorganized, but the shop has works otherwise not easily available in the USA. It didn't really have what I was specifically looking for, but it does have an otherwise broad selection.

Andre Pulford: This is the kind of place where quantity starts to struggle with quality. Lots of books and a lot of sections, but I personally haven't found a lot of great finds.When I came here, I spent more time and bought less than other bookstores in the area. The bookstore "smell" is like a 3/10, which means you know you're in a used bookstore when you walk in, although the inventory is all clean and well-maintained. Parking can be tight, but there are a few spots in front; otherwise, I've had to park on the side streets and walk in. Because this is a larger than normal used bookstore, they have some other items like ephemera and art and some distinct book sections you don't usually find in the smaller independent bookstores. The collectible and children's areas are quite lacking, and many filler titles help fill the store's shelves.The name is shared with the giant used book depository downtown, but this is a distinct shopping experience.

They have the cutest dog patrolling the shelves and I found some great books, one from the 30s and one from the 50s. Staff are super nice!

Uriah O'Terry: Just go to the main one in Detroit. This one has an incredibly small selection and somehow the prices aren't as palatable in such a drab building. That being said the only better book store in the area is the other John K. King.

The walls were plastered with small Metro-Detroit events and artist to tickle anyone's fancy. Recommend to any bibliophile at any price point. A little bit hard to find genres and specfic authors in some sections.

Ghaith Shnawa: Lady at the cashier is condescending and makes you feel stupid when asking a simple question. It’s a shame considering local book stores like this are supposed to be the nicest and most welcoming business. Disappointed in the service.
