Ashley Propheter: I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. The food is great the service is great! My only complaint is the seating. Now granted I am a bigger girl, but if 1 "average" person say at the table, and 1 "average" person at the bar it'd be a very tight fit for even a child to walk through. Again food and staff is phenomenal!! Just needs a better seating arrangement even for the staff to navigate safely!!

Vicki Malkin: 1st time we've gone here. Very clean, friendly staff, huge menu alot of nice choices to pick from. I had the whitefish dinner. My husband had fish & chips both were wonderful! Our waitress, Antonella made such an impact with her cheerful personality, checked on us just enough, keep the drinks full and because of her, she tip the scale over 100% for the reason we will be back and recommend. _MyNaturalCurls: Their food has been really good the couple times that I have had it. However, they are never open according to their hours anymore. I called one day and was placed on hold and then the phone hung up. I called back again to place an order not even an hour later and they were closed. It wasn’t even 7pm yet which is when they’re supposed to close. I called another day and they were closed. I went to look at their hours and an additional day had been added to their closed days. Now, I’m looking again today and a fourth day has been added to their closed days. Their service is becoming really bad.

Karla Robertson: I have had the Mac n cheese, string beans, and dressing.. They were very good, but I’m sitting here in their parking lot at a time they should be open, and they are closed. This is not the first time that has happened. I called their number and they say they are closed with no explanation of why. That’s so frustrating. Another lady in the parking lot with me was even more frustrated because she had driven a lot farther to get here. I would just suggest that you are open during your posted store hours or give a reason why you’re not open.

Shanika 313: Catfish w/ Mac and green beans and the 🐔& waffle. Everything tasted So good! Perfectly fried. Waffle’s sweet taste was a surprise. Nothing was over seasoned and it was piping hot. Prices are appropriate for the portions. There wasn’t a long exaggerated wait like other spots. Front counter lady is very nice on phone & in person. Restaurant always has a simple yet CLEAN look!

Yvonne Lunsford: There are a lot of restaurants that use Uber Eats, Door Dash etc to deliver their food to the customer. A lot of times they don't care about the quality of the food they send.... Alanis Soul Food 8s the exception to that rule. I ordered Catfish, colored greens, baked beans and corn muffins.... and Turkey and Dressing with Green Beans....This food was STELLAR!!!! SO DANG GOOOOOOD!!! Thank you for the amazing meal. I will definitely be ordering from you, again.

Alyssa R: Best soul food I’ve had in years. If my mom was still alive, she’d be ordering every day after dialysis (her dialysis clinic was just a few blocks away from Alani’s and we never knew). The catfish is a perfect cornmeal crust. The sides (especially the candied yams) are great.

I got Turkey, Mac and cheese, I wanted the greens but too many reviews saying it's too salty so sadly I had to pass, I got the mashed potatoes instead. Omg!!! Everything was sooo good and fresh.. I will be back forsure!! I've worked at my office almost 10month and just realized they are literally across the street in the plaza. Highly recommend

D Hodnett: The other reviews mad me give it a try and I wasn’t disappointed!!! Mac-n-chesse was some of the best I ever had, chicken and the dressing were delicious also. I ate it all! The young lady was very friendly and polite. Call ahead if you don’t want to wait bc the chicken was cooked fresh (not a bad thing) but I will definitely come back!
