Simple Adventures Kayak Rental & Delivery: what do users think?
Marissa Ciavone: My son & I decided to go kayaking & booked our visit with Simple Adventures at Belle Isle in the same day. It was our first time & we had a great experience. The man working gave us a quick overview of the route & best practices for paddling. The trailer was easy enough to find (graphics on the trailer would really help it stand out, but we still found very easily) & the man helped us into the water. The water was a little icky but that’s just Belle Isle. The man working was there to greet us when we got back & was overall friendly. We would definitely rent through Simple Adventures again.
Yahya Nasersharifi: Overall good experience, I had a hard time finding the place but it was okay. Price was reasonable.
Daniel Martinez Martinez: I did some reservations for the day, showed up and no one to be seen. Time wasted that I cannot get back. I came all the way from Wisconsin just for this.
Anthony Lake: This place in my book is A FREAKING 1 i had a trip planned it was cancelled due to highvwater no biggie they offered me rwfund or rescedule i chose to rescedule thennn i missed the trip due to family emergency they were not required to refund or rescedule anything for me being that i didnt even call. They reached out to me said they noticed i wasnt there i explained whatt had happened so they again offered refund or reschedule !! So i forgot to call amd last night i called they informed me they refunded the money which woulda been ok but i closed my accounts due to fraud and their solution was come on down we have openings today not only were my 2 reservations covered but they added a 3rd for FREE!!! THIS GROUP OF PEOPLE OS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING!! they will forever get my business i only wish i woulda tipped the girls working before i left thank you thanks you we will see yall again soon cant wait tobdo budd park float
Ladonna Cuevas: Everyone was friendly and super helpful. They are awesome!! Pricing us great as well.
Ashlee Sowinski: The two younger women who work at the beach hut at metro beach were insanely rude. Me and my bf wanted to rent kayaks. We paid for them and waited patiently for them. I rented from metro before And they use to bring the kayaks down directly to the beach. After a few minutes of waiting, I asked where to meet them at. The first girl said, with an attitude said, “at the boat launch”. I needed more directions not knowing where it was. The other girl chimed and also repeated, at the boat launch. The girls kept saying things like “over there” and “by the exit” but was very short with us and unhelpful. We eventually figured it out on our own. The staff at the boat launch was kind and nice. But you actually have to drive to entire different area of the park. The beach girls seemed more interested in playing on their phones than helping out paying customers.
Nevirose DeB: We called for stand up paddleboard instruction on Sunday, and was able to get in that same day. I was really surprised because it was Memorial Day weekend, but Jeremy was able to accommodate. He read our needs perfectly and balanced the instruction and freedom necessary for all of my kids, aged 7-17. Thanks, we had a perfect afternoon!
AMP BEACH VOLLEYBALL: I just rented bikes with my friend at Metro from this company. They had a tandem bike. We took a small lap with it to see if we wanted to rent. It was fun, but maybe I'll be more adventurous another day! We just rented our own bikes and rode along the board walk and around the point. It was a bit tricky finding where to go.. the second exit on the round about is to the beach shop, where the bikes are stationed... right when you pull into the park past the gate there is a quick left to go to the North/Main boat launch. The kayaks and boards are there. If you are looking for something to do with friends, go to a sunset paddle. It is beautiful in the marsh.Thank you to Grace and Mikayla! Such friendly staff members.
Andrea Mudd: Loved it. The directions were tricky and I had to call to find out where they are, but everyone was extremely helpful. When I got there Scott was super nice !! I will be going back quite often ! Thanks Guys !

Clinton River Canoe & Kayak Rentals: what do users think?
Kaitlin Grzybowski: The people who own the kayak rental are awful. They are super rude and will yell at you. I hate dealing with them. And why is it $50 to rent a kayak?? Such a rip-off.
Kelsey Symington: My friend called the owner because her ID was left here after our kayak trip and the owner screamed at me while trying to figure out a way for me to get it back and hung up on me and is holding ID hostage.
Snow Kitten: Was a good experience. Kayaks were in decent condition, paddles good and everything ran on time. I would prob bring my own life jacket next time though. The river was luckily a lil higher when we went too making a good trip for my husband and I.
Matthew Venturini: Had a great time and would love to do this more. Clinton river isn't the cleanest river, but the river is a very windy and technical. It took us 3 hours to get back even though they said it was a 2 hour kayak ride.
Angel Mayer: I love kayaking this stretch of the Clinton River. CRCK, are a great bunch of people. Been 3 times this year!
Chris Prieto: Is there six stars, they were all about business yet smiles and fun. Good time was had by all, even know I took a dip, lol, safe for young Miguel, better after a rain, river not so low. Again still had fun.
Jenna Kowalski: Fun river trip! The staff is fantastic too!
Eric Walters: How didn’t I know about this company and their service? Well I’m glad I finally found out about it. We had a great time on their three hour trip down the river! It was very relaxing and worth doing it! Sure beats driving four hours Up North for a similar experience.
Heather B: They do not offer any services if you have your own kayak. Last year, I was charged $10 each for a ride. Terrible. Lazy staff.
Joe M: This place is a joke
Chasen Griffith: It took us 5 and a half hours doing this but it was fun doing it.
Natalie: Perfect day, great weather, serene, smaller groups than other rivers I've been on which was nice. Bare minimum maintenance done on down trees or trash/metal in river unfortunately but most of it was easy to navigate. It was the perfect length trip for ppl not looking to be on the river all day. Lovely old growth tree canopy throughout ❤️
fluffers17: Fun time!! Love this place ❤️
Tawnee martins: These people are SO rude. Please don’t ever rent from them. They are white trash literally. They were very rude to my friends. They have their land on a public launch and are mad if other people use it. Please chose anywhere else than here I wouldn’t even give them a star if I didn’t have to
David McDonnell: Awesome kayaking. 3 hour ride takes at LEAST 3 hours. Took us almost 4, so much good time
Patrick Mac: Very rude people who own this place never never will I ever spend money with the rude owners of Clinton river kayak they have Anger issues.
Jarred Lemanski: Friendly and informative staff. It was a great trip down the river. It was a little difficult for my wife, since it was her first time kayaking, but she enjoyed it.
Christian Wodtke: Terrible customer service. Rude workers that don’t care about their customers. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Judith Ballard: Great place!!!
Julie Ruggirello: Drifting on a river enjoying being "unplugged" AND the staff take care of the rest! Love it
Kimberlee Bora: Fun times! Friendly people.

Detroit River Sports: what do users think?
Jim Maier: We did a tour in the early summer. It was excellent. They have friendly, knowledgeable staff. Their kayaks are high end models. Very comfortable to sit in for several hours. Even if you are not touring with them they let you use their launch ramps. That is a generous offer since there is not really any where else to launch in the area. We will definitely book another trip!
Mike Brockway: Very cool
Sridhar Paidi: The tour was good . The guide gave several old stories and guided the kayak in the river and canal
Travis Dawson: Fun experience! Definitely recommend.
jacquelynn trravis: Love it
Justin Craig: My first visit was for a full moon paddle and it was awesome! I'm already planning a return visit with friends in the daylight.
Sean Hunter: Fun little kayak tour of some of the canals along the Detroit straight. Little history from the guides of some stuff too along the way. I would have liked a longer paddle myself. Very beginner friendly. All shore paddle, so no true open water stuff. Highly recommended for beginners.
Lauren Maiman: Very cool concept. So glad they renovated this gem of a spot and turned it into such an awesome restaurant serving delicious, inventive dishes that taste so fresh they could’ve come straight out of the garden. Will definitely be back and order the Beet and Turkey Melt (hold the beets for me) again. French fries were also delicious. Mezza platter was a hit too!
Anais Fern Stenson: We did a Friday evening paddle around Grayhaven Island. This is a great way to learn more about Detroit and get out on the water. The guides shared lots of interesting history about the area, which was the highlight of the trip. I’m planning to doing another trip with them soon! Pro tip: bring bug spray.
Mike Trombley: The sunset kayak tour was awesome we had a really great time
Kim Simmons: I love it down at the riverwalk I go once a week to walk I get in about 10 miles then go over to Belle isle and drive. Since the state took over it's alot cleaner
Albin Berberovic: Water winter wonder
Melissa Carothers: Wonderful kayak tours with amazing guides. Very knowledgeable about local history and legends. The views of the city from the water are something you must experience.
Cara Bear: The kayak tour was a lot of great information just in the city... cool
Alex Anderson: Amazing trip and very fun staff. It was a great way to see the city from a different perspective. We will be back again.
Ethan Nemeth: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueGreat tour! A really fun time with the family, Julia was an excellent tour guide.
Sara Cunningham: Took my bf kayaking for his birthday gift. The guides were all knowledgeable and it was so cool learning more about Detroit. The website says check in fifteen minutes before your reservation but they didn’t check anyone in tip the actual reservation time. A little confusing. 10/10 would recommend this company!! Loved our time and it was so exciting kayaking on the actual Detroit river!!
Sheila Ashin: Great trip with very efficient guides, which is important since they take you into the Detroit River.
Kevin LeClair: Well run and organized !! We enjoyed the route and the staff was very informative !!
Joseph Johnson: What a great time! We thoroughly enjoyed our sunset tour. Everything is very well organized and it is clear safety is important to them. We will be back!
Michael Jankowski: Fun and informative tour. Was impressed with how smooth they operate. Loved having a Margarita at Coriander Cafe afterwards!
