E S: No doubt, Cattleman’s has great prices and lots of selection, but their beef is simply off. It is clearly not suitable for much more than making beef jerky. It is of Mexican origin and is probably weed fed. The meat is super lean and not marbled at all. I’ve purchased ribeye roasts twice, one cooked as a roast, and one reduced to nice thick steaks. Both cook up dry and tasteless due to lack of fat marbling. It may be healthier than fattier cattle, but I don’t enjoy beef for its health benefits. Even sous vide on a three-bone ribeye roast cooked to rare didn’t help. To use up what I’ve vac bagged and frozen, I’ll try to inject bits of beef suet and broth into the meat before cooking, or just reserve it for my dog as he’s just happy to get beef of any sort. It is about as far away from Black Angus as one could get. Several friends have had the same experience. I’ll just wait until quality beef goes on sale to Kroger or Costco and buy there. I won’t bother with Cattleman’s ever again.

Doris Wesson: I usually get lunch there, and there is always a pleasant woman working the food counter and a very unpleasant one also. Today, I got the unpleasant one. Her attitude was horrible. Sauce drippin from my food container. She didn't even bother to wipe it off.What I need to know is what days does the pleasant woman work? So that I can only go when she's there. My food even tastes better when she prepares it.

Went there to get a few things, the main item I wanted was a corned beef.. when I got it home and took out it off the package it smells very weird, so I looked at the tag and relazized they retagged over the original tag and put today's date on it to make it seem fresh.. SHAME ON YOU CATTLEMEN'S...for anyone wondering why I just didn't take it back it's because I've moved away from the area and it's too far to go back, I go there once a month because it's near the place I get my nails done.. so I'll just take the loss.. if I ever return I'll pay more attention and check to see if they put a new tag over the old to make it seem fresh. 😟😡

Jasen J: Unfortunately, as a butchershop, they just don't cut it (pun intended). I wanted my Bone-in Prime Rib Roast cut down the bone, trimmed, and tied for roasting. Instead, I got $80 dollars of meat cut like steaks between bones. Sigh 😕. I usually go to Boffs (it's in the area) but tried Cattleman's instead. 😪. The rest of the store looks great. If I'm in the mood to explain how to cut my roast, I might go back. Time will tell..
