Rachel Ladalla: I had been to multiple tailors throughout the area, and every single one was charging me an arm and a leg to get my wedding dress altered.I walked into the fabric boutique and Rita was the kindest person! She told me exactly what I needed done and quoted me at such a reasonable price! Not only were they reasonably priced, they were very accommodating to when I needed the dress done by. The day before I was leaving town for my wedding, I decided that I needed to have my dress let out JUST little bit. And Rita stayed late that night to make sure it was done by the next day. And it was PERFECT! I highly recommend going to them for any of your alteration needs!

Jocelyn Mrha: A few weeks ago, I was getting ready for a wedding and realized that part of my dress was missing (a sash that tied around the waist). I was from out of town, and panicked. I ran to the Fabric Boutique to see if they had a scrap of fabric that I could use. Not only did they give me some fabric, they went in the back and sewed it up beautifully so that it looked like it was made for the dress. Then, they wouldn't let me pay and gave it to me for free. They saved me, and I can't thank them enough!!!!
evaxoxo: Honestly one of the best places for any needs you have! Had a bridesmaids dress from here and they were able to finish a whole bridal party in a month!!!!! They are very dedicated and hard workers! They made sure that the alterations and everything was perfect, they treat you like family and always make sure you are taken care of! The whole staff there is amazing! Definitely my go to spot for dresses and alteration needs!

I love her heart and level of interest in my doings when I bought her coaching calls. She was able to think with me, for me, and help me understand design, mft'ing, and branding on a pro level for launch.
Carrie H: I can't say enough about how great the people at Detroit Sewn are. We ordered some custom bags and they worked with us at every step, from designing, material sourcing, product samples, and finally the finished product. They were helpful, patient and professional.

Sid Sadi: On the website, it's showing the close at 11 but when I'm writing it's only 10:00 o'clock and they told me they closed
Robin DeHayes: I was doing some very serious shopping. Was purchasing 2 bedding sets, 1 purse, 1 tote bag, earrings, 1 dress, 1 mirror 5 ceramic candle sticks, kitchen towels and some rugs. I made my way to the restroom and did my business. Unfortunately there was NO toilet paper in any of the stalls. I ended up using a kleenex from my purse. I found 2 employees and asked them for toilet paper and they gave me bacterial furniture wipes. Then i talked to the manager who was very condescending and when i questioned him he acted like it was bo big deal. How is this man a manager? Hopefully he found some or went to the store to purchase some!!So basically he threw away a 300.00 sale!!!I doubt i will ever return to your store! Your loss!Robin DeHayes

Mark Jackson: When the fitting room had no attendant for ten minutes I went looking with six items I wanted to try on. Approached two female employees asking for the fitting room attendant who couldn’t help. Finally one pointed to a large male at front of store. I went to him and asked to try on my selections. His attitude was that I was clearly putting him out but he walked to the back but as we approached he informs me it is the attendants lunch time and I would have to wait further. I said no I have no more time and was I forEd I needed to restock the items or wait! I again said no these are yours to keep and gently tossed the selections to his open arms. He started screaming I threw them at him and loudly orders me to “leave or be trespassed” .I turned and was walking to the door when he yells for another male to throw me out because I threw clothes at him! So the second male starts loudly ordering me out too. I was already on my way to the door. No problem I will never darken their door again.

Bertha the supervisor wasn’t any better had me do things that wasn’t in my job description. It was a whole mess, quit after 2 weeks n lots of people quit after me. Don’t work here if u value urself!! Bobby told me I just want a chill job and that I’ll never get an easier job, well he is dead wrong.

Renee Pettengill: Overwhelming amount of clothing. The young man on the sales floor was extremely helpful and outgoing. It's nice to have have a salesperson who cares! They have everything there from boots to embroidery and all your safety needs.
Nikkolas DeLaCruz: Need better hours. You’re a blue collar store with white collar hours. I can never catch when the store is open.
Heather G: I've worked with salesperson Jamie to order customized jackets for my workplace. I've placed multiple orders - everything received great quality and done very nicely. Orders were completed in a timely manner. It's a bit of a drive from my office, but worth it.
