Jennifer Merz: Working with TKO was exceptionally stressful, and a total nightmare. What we encountered goes beyond the unfortunate typical hardships you hear of when dealing with contractors. We braced ourselves for issues due to talent shortages and general contractor “stuff” and what we experienced was unfortunately disgrace in professionalism from onset to completion.Joe Jr. was the lead on our garage repair project. He was grossly incompetent.From day one when his crew broke glass by driving their Bobcat into our garage and left it in our driveway— we had concerns around the quality of their work. They left the job site a hazard zone each day and treated our property like trash— trampled on our gutters, broke our fence, left trash all over. Our neighbors were even appalled.Workers would show up and work a couple of hours every few days despite us being told we would see progress or we were on track to completion. When we wanted to meet with Joe and scheduled time to do so— he did not arrive or answer our call. He tried to brick a bowed wall—- until my husband literally ran outside to stop the project. Joe wanted “status” payments before completing the work. Permits were not pulled and the project cost inflated by 50% of the original quote.It goes on but I hope I shared enough for anyone considering this company to make an informed decision.

Shannon Orme: I hired TKO last March to install new fiber cement siding on my home. There were a few hiccups, like waiting for a few weeks for an electrician, but the project was generally grossly mismanaged. I was told the project would take 2 weeks, beginning of April. The workers removed the old aluminum siding and gutters in April. The house was exposed to wind and rain for 5 months. They were still installing siding end of July. As of late August, the house wasn't sealed and gutters were still on the ground. I had a ton of water coming through the window trim and now there is mold growing on a bedroom ceiling.In addition, there are countless issues with the work. They used aluminum nails instead of plugs on very expensive composite trim. The yard is an absolute mess with nails everywhere (after cleanup). There was no discussion as to how the interior shower window would be finished (it looks horrible and is not waterproof). There was a sense of urgency to order materials, so I made decisions based on what was in stock, but they didn't install these materials for MONTHS. The grass in my front yard is completely dead from siding sitting on it for 5 months.This is my 2nd major project with TKO. They also renovated my other house in Ferndale - exterior Reno, roof, new kitchen/bath, paint, electrical, plumbing, floors, etc. While the work was OK, the job also took much longer than expected - over 9 months. Even the workers admitted they'd never worked on a house that long. The workers were constantly taken off the job to do other jobs. I believe they took advantage because I'm a single woman and don't have the energy to yell and scream. I called TKO again this year because they were the only company available - big mistake.The company also is not clear about money. They add costs to the final bill which should be included in the original estimate. Joe, the owner, was MIA for 5 months and then inflated the bill by thousands after I've already paid over $17K in labor for a hack job.. That's not how you do business. Remember - you don't have to pay for anything that you don't have a written contract for. Joe inflated the bill on my previous home as well by $11K. We met in the middle because I didn't know what I was doing, but now I know they are just hoping clients pay up.There were additional costs for insulation and electrician, but I'm withholding until I get more information about the water damage, most likely a formal complaint and small claims court.Stay away from this company. Lin: I haven't used the service. My review is purely that you and your employees need to start using your parking lot instead of blocking the road every day. You park right in the turn lane while you have a whole empty lot. It's infuriating and disrespectful to your neighbors.

Laura Cronyn: My experience with TKO was nothing but a pleasure. We had our family home porch redone, and were nervous about it. Ted sold the job easily and they started right when they said and came every day until it was done. The mason’s Matt and Brandon showed up early, worked their a**es off in tear down and layed and poured the porch like artwork. The whole block engaged them and helped when it started to rain. They for sure got a couple jobs on the block. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a big job done with such care and professionalism, from beginning to end.

syed RaHman: Stay away from them. Long story short they leave me high and dry I am out of 1400 and crack porch. Civil suit on the way. They have no experience whatsoever about masonry work. If you give them Cheque they will cash it from liquor store. They open and llc and scam people.
