Jesse Speelman: My wife & I (non-members of this credit union) came through the drive-thru ATM to take out some cash a couple nights ago. We ended up making two transactions. Both were the same.$40 cash withdrawal. The machine took the debit card, processed for quite a long time, then said the transaction could not be completed and gave the card back. No cash was dispensed, but the withdrawals still immediately showed up on our bank statement. $80 deducted from our account, with zero cash dispensed. We even took a video of the second transaction, just in case it was the same case as the first and gave us trouble again.The next morning we headed into the branch to bring it to their attention, and have the transactions reversed (or be given cash.) We knew the exact time the transaction happened, and showed the video to the teller.After checking the ATM cash, the teller made a phone call, then told us that we should hear back the following day. Today we were told there is nothing that they can do, and to contact our own credit union. Now, while my wife is literally 9 months pregnant, we are responsible for trying to hunt down our $80. They have essentially stolen our hard earned money.We will not be returning to this branch, and I suggest you don't either if you are trying to conveniently take some cash out of your account. What a horrible experience.

Deb Petipren: I had a terrible experience at the Warren branch today. I just needed to deposit one check into my account, but the teller was distracted, talking to another employee, and unfocused on the transaction. As a result, she deposited my funds into the wrong account. Later when I checked my receipt, I noticed that some random name was at the top, with the wrong balance. (She didn’t even check the name on my driver’s license which I provided, as well as my correct account number.) Although they were able to reverse the transaction, I will never go here again. I don’t trust careless, unprofessional people with my money. Looking for another credit union with higher standards!

Mia Ellis: I usually never have a problem at this branch, but today is what drew the line for me. Since the lobby is closed, I had to go through the drive through for service. I waited for a good 10 minutes behind the person in front of me (which isn’t a problem, we’re going through a nationwide pandemic so I know that the drive through service will be a bit slower due to the amount of people that come through, service provided to each individual, etc). I PATIENTLY wait, pull foward, grab my money to deposit, and send it to the teller. I don’t know who I had, but I am absolutely disgusted with how she “helped” me. I’m a server, and a majority of my tips are in singles... and I had brought a lot to the bank. She asks me how much money I had, and I was blunt with her, I told her I only knew half the amount. She then proceeded to laugh, at this point I don’t think she realized her camera was still on, and she quickly shut it off. A few moments later, she comes back telling me that its going to take a few minutes because “I decided not to count my money.” At this point I’m livid. I am on the phone with people in the car who can hear her talking to me this way, even they were shocked. Took her 5 minutes MAXIMUM to count. She comes back and tells me next time I need to count my money so that she has it to compare to her count (fair but also, I know that working in a bank, you always have to count money 2x if not 3x so what does it matter if I counted it or not?) and she told me that it was not fair to the car behind me to have taken so long... So then it must’ve not been fair to me to have to wait 10 minutes prior for the person in front of me? My whole point out of this is now, I hate coming to the Warren location. I’m always uncomfortable and the staff is always rude. If you can drive out of your way and go to the Normandy branch, I recommend doing so. This isn’t my first problem with your branch, but I’m making it my last.

Tricia Franco: Constant issues and head ache inducing.1. Issues with account getting locked at the drop of a hat (ex. Buys sandwich at 7/11 account locked, go out of town account locked, go and make a purchase in Royal Oak instead of Madison heights account locked.) Currently having another account issue reason IDK2. Tech is a bit out dated compared to say bank of America it's exceptionly difficult to transfer money to or from accounts. Depositing money is made mire difficult in comparison to other banks and it doesn't even process as quickly.3. Support is not always on point it has limited times to receive help. The quickest way to get help is calling during their hours and that can still take a while depending how busy they are.
Andre Pickett: Our Credit Union was on Facebook. The week of 8/10/19 advertising $1,000 No Credit Check Loans. For their Summer Loan Specials. I applied online. They asked certain questions that should not be on a no credit check loan. The Next 10 minutes I receive several credit alerts, informing me. My credit had been pulled. I spoke with Jeff one of their representatives and I asked him. Why was my credit pulled? If they’re advertising a No Credit Check Loan? Up until this day I haven’t received a good enough answer. The bottom line is, they will pull your credit if you say yes to certain questions on the application. The Credit Union says you have to be a member for 90 days. I also read on their website that you will be required to join. Once you’re approved for the loan. It still doesn’t justify why my credit was pulled. This is why I’m giving them 1 star. If I could I would give them a zero for dishonesty.

D Shaun: This credit union will harass you with calls even when you have provided proof of payment. They will put things on your credit report that you have to constantly dispute. Very troubling when you’re in the process of buying a home. I advise anyone thinking of opening an account here to look elsewhere. I’m in the process of taking them to court now

Kelly Matelic: I have decided to refinance in 10-21 with Michigan Legacy because there Home equity loan was AWESOME. Rates were great. Anytime I call there they are so helpful. I call all the time. Today 11/4 I called spoke to Jennifer W from the warren office to set up Automatic payments. She was wonderful. Extremely helpful and Awesome to Work with. Thank you Jennifer. I'd Highly Recommend this bank to anyone looking. Seems like a smaller bank which is great you truly get personal service. Thank you so much for making my experience wonderful.

Out of all the member service reps I have tried to contact and/or talked to, Jillian is by far the best; these five stars are for her! She is friendly, polite and very helpful and has addressed all of my issues and answered all of my questions so far without hesitation. I've also noticed that Jillian is the only one out of the few others I have talked to that introduces herself by saying her name; much appreciated. She is an asset to your company and a stellar member services representative. Thank you Jillian!

I can't process transactions for more than $500 without calling and asking for permission. And last night they decided to just disable my debit card. I try to call and get someone on the phone and it's literally a joke. I'm all done with this place. If I wanted a corporate bank I would just sign up with chase.

Eugenia Phillips: One of the worst credit unions in the state of Michigan! I will never refer anyone to this Credit Union ever! For my first experience with this particular establishment it was horrible! The hours are horrible! I tried to pay my loan payment with my debt card from a different financial institution but they would only take a credit card. I went into the location in Warren to open my online account and even though I got there b4 they closed after I opened the online account and found out that I needed to open a checking account so I could pay the loan online, I was not assisted with trying to open an account online because it was now 5:02 and they were closing! I was already sitting with the banker!!! She just looked at me like, SO SORRY CHARLIE 😤😤😤😤The hours are worse than bank hours at least banks and some credit unions are open late at least one day during the week! Lastly I called Member Services to try to pay the loan online and guess what? Because I was paying the loan from a different account, they had to call the MLCU branch to get authorization to take the payment and since ALL the branches are now closed I had to wait until MONDAY! So luckily I get the opportunity to drive 20 miles to go to the Warren branch AGAIN and pay my loan through the drive thru So needless to say, moving forward I will have my current banking institution send payment to MLCU so I won't have to deal with this credit union again. I will be glad when my loan is paid off so I won't have to deal with them EVER! MICHIGAN LEGACY CREDIT UNION LEAVES A LEGACY OF FRUSTRATION!!

Jessica 'Waddler' Lift (WaddleArt): I came to this credit union and opened a business account for my small business. While the process was easy, albeit 2 hours long which is fine, and the lady that helped me was very friendly and cordial, the experience could be considered a 'lemon law' in terms of opening and closing the account over the span of one business day (weekend inbetween).I opened the account on Friday. The forms I filled out had names in confusing locations, such as my birth name as my business name on the form, and my business name was my given/birth name. I asked if this was a problem and was informed that it wouldn't be. It also confused me but was assured it wouldn't be a problem with the name having incorrect punctuation and additional words/letterings attached to it. The name of the DBA is its name, nothing more, nothing less. Again, I was assured it should be fine.I came home to get my online banking set up, only to have error after error to the point where I called customer service and spoke to a lady (very friendly and helpful!) and she looked at my information. Come to find out, a lot of additional information wasn't correct because the paperwork wasn't thoroughly gone through at the location. I was feeling incredibly defeated because opening a business account should be an experience that isn't wrought with dread and major errors and uncertainties. So I was told that I'd be getting a call back from someone on Monday (today).No call-back, and when I tried to get to someone over the telephone (calling from my day job), they wanted information that I didn't have access to in the computer system to get a person on the line (such as EIN, and so on). I hung up and was feeling completely flattened. I couldn't take the gut-wrenching feeling that this isn't good.I went to the location I opened the account within and had the account closed after explaining what was going on and how I can't access anything, no one reached out to me to rectify the situation, and that while I appreciate their kindness and promptness to help with my situation, I simply wasn't feeling right with continuing.I hope that they have continued success with other customers and prospect bankers in the future. I simply figured I'd share my experience with what happened. As such, the 2-star rating is only because of the fact that I had opened the account on a Friday, and a business day later (weekends ya' know) I had it suspended. The employees are super nice and the location is convenient, but otherwise I was not happy.Best of luck to folks!

Josh VanValkenburg: I have been with MSGCU going on 15 years, my wife longer than that. We've never had a problem until last weekend. My wife went in to finalize some paperwork we were told was good to go, but unfortunately my wife came across Debbie. Debbie is a rude, inconsiderate, petty tyrant, and I hope nobody ever comes across her again. She made my wife feel insignificant, and tried to make my wife feel like a fool, for not having documentation that we were never told we needed. She is cruel, and this single interaction has us considering moving to another credit union. If the past few years has taught me anything, it's don't put up with rude people. If Debbie wants us to feel like worthless garbage we can take our business elsewhere and Debbie can be the queen of her credit union. If someone from MSGCU reads this, I want an apology in writing mailed to our home, you know our address.I will never recommend MSGCU to anyone again. I've lost all faith in their leadership, and member care teams. I would be ashamed if a friend or family member was treated the way Debbie treated my wife. I don't care if she was having a bad day, or was mad it was a busy Saturday. Nothing gives Debbie the right to treat people the way she treated my wife.

We recently got married and wanted to add me to his account so that as a married couple, like most couples, have a joint account so that we could deposit and withdraw OUR money to/from our joint account. Makes sense right? Well the gentleman informed me that he would have to run a credit report to see if I “qualify” to become a member and by doing so, it would affect my credit score! I was in disbelief. First and foremost, that is discriminatory which doesn’t sit well with me. Second, who are these people to tell me that I can or can’t have a joint account with my spouse? That is OUR money! And third, why would I let anyone affect my credit score negatively to see if I am “good enough” to join their financial institution? Needless to say, my husband will be joining my financial institution instead where everyone is welcome and credit scores aren’t affected.

The temperature was warm and inviting, the color scheme was cozy, the lighting was gentle and relaxing. Overall, the cleanliness was fantastic and the facilities were in good working order. I feel the toilet was sloped ever so slightly to the right, though. But the room smelled nice and refreshing and the hand soap was aromatic. I felt at home in that bathroom. 10/10 would go there again.

spacey: WHY DO THEY HAVE A SERVICE FEE? ITS A CREDIT UNION, CREDIT UNIONS ARE SUPPOSE TO STICK TOGETHER. SHAME ON YOU GUYS lol. This was my second timing coming, and I only came back by mistake, as soon as I saw the service fee I knew I had to blacklist this place from ever being suggested again.
BIL Schmitz: They're a great credit I got an awesome rate on a car loan with not the greatest credit but it is so nice the ladies that work there they're always kind and prompt and they do their job quickly

Nancy King Hayes: Everytime I come in there they give me a hard time...Natalie is very rude and unhappy! Karassdra is rude as well! Jordan is very nice and helpful...the other old lady with the afro is nice too! I asked to speak to the boss, Natalie says it’s only one Tandem Credit Union...in which I didn’t ask that, she’s very rude and lazy! Will be doing business with Credit Union One for now on.....
