Mukul Chakravarthy: Ethiopian diner. Place is unique. Food is different. I like the bread and Meat dishes. You can order a dinner platter and you get a bread and vegetable dishes all you can eat,$20 per person. If you want any meat dishes it’s additional per plate.Overall experience is good. You get to eat with your hands and they supply you with wet towels to clean you hands. It felt good that we didn’t use any plastic or paper throughout the dinner.

Arif Istiaque: Do not go to this restaurant. Their food is wack. They don't have a lot of menu options. They're extremely expensive. They intentionally make the pricing on the menu confusing and surprise you with a bill afterwards. I literally got a bill for $82 for two people!

I've been fortunate to viper 50 Ethiopian restaurants around the country and without a doubt Blue Nile in Ferndale/A2 is the very best!Service is always impeccable. The quality of the food is just spectacular! I do mean spectacular! While I have my favorites, every item on the veggie sampler is wonderful. I love that it is so very vegan friendly with a great variety of dishes to enjoy.I am perpetually thinking about going back, and I already am just 2hrs after enjoying a meal there.Don't miss a chance to eat here!

Food was delicious, we had the traditional feast as well as the beef and chicken. Flavors are complex and deep, and every single item has a unique profile. The real surprise was how delicious the traditional Ethiopian tea was! Holy cow! We can't wait to return.Vegetarian options: Very vegetarian friendly. Vegetarian is standard, carnivore is out of the standard but served.

So, it was devoured before I had the thought of taking a photo. Some of the best food ate are the ones that have the “Let’s take a photo” as an after thought. Michael Paul: While visiting the area for work, I read the recent NY Times article on this place and knew I had to try it. Especially with their 2023 James Beard nomination. I love okra and glad I was able to visit on a Tuesday for the Ugali. We also ordered Kuku and Nyumbani. All very delicious and comforting. My partner liked the hot sauce so much he wants me to go back to buy a couple of jars. The Ji drink was a nice compliment to our meal. Thank you for the friendly service too!

My only disappointment was that no one offered us a high chair for the babies and the waiter attended to the family who came after us first. Rott'n Apple Acres: Cheese fufu is fried mushy and swimming in grease. Ogbono tastes super salty vomit taste and a small amount of ground meat. I arrived for pick up and waited 10 minutes while the only customer decided what to order instead of them stepping aside. When she was done, I stepped up, the cashier/owner(?) did not greet me. I said hello and told her my name for pick up. She yelled "no they already picked that up!" And waved her hand at me to move away from the register. I again politely repeated my name and said I ordered for myself online. She again raised her voice and yelled " no door dash already picked it up!" As she checked the one order on the take out shelf. Then she walked back in the kitchen and I believe saw my name on her tablet. She then started yelling "look lady, I'm swamped right now and I didn't notify you that your order is ready! Your order is going to be 10 more minutes wait over there! (Empty restaurant) I said ok, she went back in the kitchen, scooped food into the containers and brought the bag out giving me a disgusted look. I said thanks, and she said nothing. This was a $20 meal with 15% tip payed online before pickup.
