Maria Mazzone: Dr Raphtis saved my husband's eye. I was on vacation when he was injured on the job. My husband didn't know it was hurt on the job. Thought he had pink eye. We went to our family Dr. who took one look and suggested Dr. Raphtis. We were so blessed he sent him there. It was very serious and after two very long weeks of meds and visits it healed. My husband then referred his co-worker who was having a problem with his eye. He thought he got something in it. After going to his eye Dr a few times he went to Dr. Raphtis. He has the tinest piece of metal in his eye. He got it out and he also now sees him.. He takes his time and explains everything thoroughly. I would give him a 10 if I could.

Carolyn C: The jury is out on this somewhat new doctor added to the staff, Dr. Downey. I had an appointment for a follow up exam that was made last July, when I was called by the technician, I was told that I needed another exam. I explained to the technician that my insurance ONLY PAYS FOR EYE EXAMS EVERY 24 MONTHS. The technician took an attitude with me because I told her that I only came for a follow up. The technician did tell me that the Dr. wanted a full exam. I won my argument when I told her that I was there for a follow up appointment. This was billed to my medical insurance, not my vision insurance. This is what I came in for to begin with, a "medical" appointment. This technician had a chip on her shoulder while she was checking my eye pressure and I only told her that I wanted the one eye to be dilated. I couldn't tell you what her face looked like. Her attitude was very cold. When Dr. Downey did come into the exam room, she told me that she recommends that eyes be checked every year. How many times do I have to explain my vision insurance only covers every 24 months?? I felt very disrespected when I left. With rising costs everywhere, I was not going to add another unwanted expense. I had no idea what the eye exam would have cost without my vision insurance. I did make an appointment for an eye exam next year, but I would much rather see Dr. Varinelli than Dr. Downey. The girls at the reception area were nice.
Doug Duddles: I've been seeing Dr. Simone for at least 10 years. He's a great doctor. The entire staff there is very friendly. I go every year for a dilated eye exam, and he's always careful and thorough. Not only that, I'm always in and out fairly quickly, never having to wait a long time because he's running behind, like what happens at most doctors. I'd definitely recommend to anyone based on my experiences.
Linda Clor: Persons who have had R.K., Lasik surgery DO NOT deal with THIS DOCTOR. I would have donated the close to $2000 for upgraded Cataract lens to his pocketbook rather than have had him make my eye stigmatism worst than it was before my surgery. Do not buy anything but basic eye lens as paid for by most insurance companies because your sight will only get worst. There are no ethics it is about getting the money.

The only complaint I have is that appointments have to be scheduled far in advance but that is understandable when Dr. Simone is in high-demand because he is so good. It is worth the wait.

I don't not like that when you get a bill your expected to write you credit card info on the paper and mail it back. If you pay over the phone they don't enter it right way because apparently the phone is not by the credit card machine".Which means they write it down hold on to it until they get time. This is not very secure people lose things make mistakes.... GET A ONLINE PAYMENT CENTER.

Trish Charlier: My visit was great!! I was not really happy with my previous eye doctor.Dr. Poggiolo was kind enough to see me on short notice after I lost my glasses. He was friendly and the staff were very kind. I received help from several people-- pre-exam testing, choosing glasses and a contact lens consultation. Everyone was wonderful, and I never felt rushed even though I was a late addition to the schedule and it was getting late in the day.They have a really neat device that takes a photo of your optic nerve/inner eye to record and detect any future changes.I'm very happy with my visit and will consider losing my glasses one of life's happy accidents.

Doug Steele: Dr Poggiolo is a miracle workerI have a severe case of Keratoconus and had trouble seeing for many many years. My problem became more of a problem and Dr Poggiolo (Dr. John Carl Poggiolo) fitted me with contacts and I can see clearly which i haven't been able to do for a long time. Josh Davis: Not worth the hassle somehow they pulled up two insurance plans for me due to someone else having the same name and birthdate. They applied them both to the total of the glasses only to realize they made a mistake. I had called to check on if the glasses came in and that is when I was told my bill had increased due to their mistake this is also when I first became aware of the mistake. They did not proactively call me to inform me of the mistake. I was told they would try to see if they can make it right by calling their billing department and would call back by end of day. I never received a call. I called and cancelled the order. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. They have poor customer service and I cannot recommend them. The doctor herself was good but support staff not so much.
Chris Van Mill: I wanted to pass along my sincere thanks to Dr. Williams and Lyndsay at Normandy Optical in Warren. Both Dr. Williams and Lyndsay were professional and patient with me. I had picked out a pair of glasses and once delivered, I immediately had questioned my choice. The glasses were just too heavy on my nose. Lyndsay worked with me, and a new pair was delivered in less than two weeks. It is very rare to find such wonderful customer service. I highly recommend Normandy Optical.

Luke Goocheye: Buyer beware. The eye ware is as shoddy as can be. They cannot size your frames correctly and will not help if you dare ask a question or challenge them in any way. The doctor is too young to work alone and only hides if there is a problem.I also tried to work with Lindsay, she stated she would return my call and never did.Avoid at all costs.
Jonathan Shamoun: Came to west Bloomfield location and dealt with Lindsay the manager. I have never been more disrespected by her and kept repeating that I am asking to commit insurance fraud. She was nasty to deal with from the moment I walked in there. I didn’t end up getting any of my benefits used and got nothing accomplished expect for them taking my money for the eye exam and being RACIALLY PROFILED! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. NASTY ATTITUDE AND NO HELP. Lindsay did not bother to look at my insurance plan and was basically useless. EVERYONE STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!

Hailey Judd: I’ve been going here my whole life and I am very sad to now have to find a new optometrist. My family saw the previous doctor, Dr. Paul, from the 1970s till his retirement. We had a great initial relationship with Dr. Ellie when she took over but have now all left for other doctors. I will no longer be a patient of Dr. Ellie's after her condescending behavior towards my DISABLED GRANDPARENTS and outrageously high prices. My family had to pay over $1,000 out of pocket with 3 VALID EYE INSURANCES on file, which is overly excessive for an office in South Warren, where the vast majority of locals are either below the poverty line or just above it. Stop trying to gentrify us, just because you had access to higher education doesn't make it okay to talk down to people who did not. This was previously a 5 star review and I will remain firm on my 1 star review no matter the response I receive from this office in an attempt to “smooth things over.”Sincerely,Hailey Judd: an 8-mile Warren native and a now MSU Law student who uses her education to help people in need, not abuse them financially or emotionally.
Jim Allard: This was my first time at Warren Optometric Clinic. I thought Dr. Ellie did a good job with the eye exam, and she answered all of my questions. I needed to pick out glasses after the exam with the office staff. That didn't go as well. I was given a price of $1,195, which included the exam fee. When I started to ask about the cost and if there were any other options, I was not given any other options. I was the last patient of the evening and I felt like I was being rushed out the door. Shawkat Rahman: Had an eye exam appointment on 03/24/2023 on this location. Every one seemed very professional and respectful. But I was extremely impressed with the Doctor Mr. Mark Lavine. Very wise looking, soft spoken experienced doctor. His soothing soft voice will comfort any one in seconds. Now I am waiting for my eye glass, which they said will come back from lab in 7-10 days. Lets see how the glass comes out. I should be able to modify this opinion after I receive the eye glass. But so far its 5*.

Timothy Jones: Check out SVS Vision 12 Mile Mound in Warren. First exam in a few years, so i wasn't exactly in the mindset to make an appt, but it was a simple appt process on their website. Text reminder was convenient. From start to finish, the staff were awesome, caring, and funny! Took me a considerable time to pick out the right frames but was helped by staff with their honest opinions and humor, making the process quite enjoyable! The Doc was thorough, taking extra time to answer every question I could ask. I was just being curious.. Happy customer, would recommend!
B: Theoni, always provides A+ service. I drive by several other SVS Vision locations to come see Theoni. I live 29 miles away from the SVS Vision location where Theoni works but the quality of service I receive is worth the drive.
