Verheyden Funeral Home in Warren: what do users think?
Terry Minnis: The entire staff at both the Warren and Grosse Pointe Park facilities treated our family with so much care and compassion. Every detail was handled with amazing care and always with the knowledge that we were grieving. Thanks especially to Joseph Aleardi, April Elliot and Mary Southwick for taking such good care of every detail and making Mom's funeral memorable.
Matthew Van Drimmelen: Verheyden cares about families. I love their Aftercare program!
The Pretzel King: If you’re thinking about going to this funeral home don’t, they are very disrespectful when I attended a funeral a couple years back and it looks they the have not changed.
gabe klakulak: Very rude people!
Khan Tin: I’ve never been treated so poorly in my life!
Gabe's Waifu: I was here for my grandmother’s funeral. And there was a bald man who took all of the mints out of the bowls and said that our breath had to be natural or my grand mother would go to hell!
kaye pascua: Very poor

Wasik Funeral Home: what do users think?
Leonard Franks: The compassion and sympathy that wasik funeral home showed was second to none. The owners and staff were understanding and treated myself and my family as one of their own. Through the trying time that we were going through, I cannot thank the owners and staff enough for being sincere and seeing to it that our every need was met with heartfelt sympathy.Sincerely thank you for everything.Leonard D. Franks
Andrew Hack: Great place, great personell
Paul Kamlnskl: Wasik funeral home was very helpful with all myquestions and needs.
Becky Chan: My family recently chose Wasik Funeral Home for my father's funeral, and it was definitely the right choice. Mary Wasik, one of the owners, helped us make all the arrangements directly and was a pleasure. What could have been a painful and difficult process was made much easier thanks to her straightforward and compassionate approach. We were treated respectfully and any requests we had were easily accomodated. For instance, my father is Chinese and we wanted to have some incense, as is customary at Chinese funerals, and other funeral homes in the area were reluctant to allow this. The lovely folks at Wasik not only said it would be no problem, but showed an interest in our cultural traditions and gladly helped us with anything we needed. I even noticed a curio cabinet in the chapel had several Asian-themed pieces in it, which was a nice touch. Overall, we were pleased with everything Wasik did for us - my father even looked good.Saying goodbye to a loved one is definitely not easy, but Wasik Funeral Home really made the process less difficult. Thank you again to Mary and the rest of your staff for helping us through it.
Kristin Doxen: Our family is forever grateful to the Wasik family and funeral home for helping us in our time of need. The kindness shown, caring spirit, and guidance were appreciated at such a difficult time in our life!
Kathy Wardowski: When I think of Wasik Funeral Home, the first word that comes to mind is Family. Throughout the years, the Wasik Family has always taken extra special care of all my family's funeral needs. I personally appreciate the honesty and guidance they provide at such a highly emotional and vulnerable time. I would not entrust my loved ones to anyone else.
Julie Moore: My family has used the services of Wasik Funeral home for many years. They go out of their way to make the process of burying a loved one much easier. The facilities are beautiful and always clean. The Wasik Family makes you feel like part of their family!!! I wouldn’t entrust my loved ones to any other funeral home.
Linda Vivian: The staff at Wasik Funeral Home was very caring and compassionate during a very difficult time. They helped each and everyone of us as we dealt with the loss of our parent. I would highly recommend working with them.
Scott Sienkiewicz: Quiet and friendly.

E J Mandziuk & Son Funeral: what do users think?
deann kujawski: I am so grateful for Mandziuk Funeral Homes. From the moment my father left his home I was at peace that he was in the care of such a caring family. Lila and Samantha were there for us every step of the way. They answered our emails and took our phone calls. They provide our family, friends and community with the perfect goodby to our loved one. Their thoughtfulness and kindness will always be remembered. Thank you Mandziuk Funeral Home.
Vicky Thompson: Very nice and helpful
Teresa Andrzejewski: Linda is an amzing person she is very kind, welcoming and understanding she made a very overwhelming stressful and chaotic time easier on the family. You can tell she has experience in what she does, Im not sure if its the way she talks to people or the way she carries herself but you leave there knowing your loved one is being taken care of respectfully. We were not once rushed on any decisions Linda was patient and helpful with choices that needed to be made. As for the funeral home its self very clean, well kept and peaceful with plenty of parking.
Maureen Mukka: Excellent customer service. Absolutely not a complaint, extrememly caring, accommodating and able to meet our family's expectations. Sarah and the owner bent over backwards to give our dad fitting funeral he deserved even in this time of Covid. Thank you so much Mandziuk and Son Funeral Home.
Amanda Brenz: My Maga used to be best friends with the owner and I'd go there with her and.Mr. Mandzoul wpuld always have blow.pops. or tootsie.pops. see dum dum?
Mike Cionka: Don't bother dealing with this place. See my review at the Sterling Heights location for the reason for the 1 star. The owner/director is a complete a-hole. Thanks for yelling at me that my dad's dead, Chris. Way to be respectful.
Pete B: They are very helpful in a time of need. Great service!

David J Wysocki Funeral Home: what do users think?
Valerie Pociask: The staff made everything go as smoothly as possible. I would highly recommend them.
Pamela Wade: I highly recommend. We worked with Steve for my mother in law's arrangements. It was a frantic call at night and he was very calm and accommodating. He was very generous with his time and very respectful of ours. Took the time even to hand deliver a card to our home. He was very kind and helpful even allowing us to borrow a couple things for the services. We were very well taken care of.
Tiffany Setlak: Steve and his father from Wysoki & wells went above and beyond to make sure my brothers send off was perfect and completely personal. They had such compassion, understanding and patience with our family walking us through a very very difficult and unexpected time. These ppl truly are in the right business and treated my brother as someone they personally knew. It was sa beautiful service and exactly how my brother would have wanted it. We cannot thank them enough.
Peter Hotaling: Steve took care of my family in a time of need. Thank you wysocki team!
Mike B: Very professional and on time
Kelly Tedesco: We had to do a quick and unplanned service and went into Wysocki because it was near our home. Steve, the funeral director went above and beyond our expectations. He and his staff were warm, caring and REAL. No fake sympathy here. He did exactly as we asked. The facilities are incredibly clean and comfortable with a nice lounge area where food can be brought in, toys and books to keep little ones occupied. I also wanted to mention something extremely important: our father’s wishes were to have a closed casket service. Steve did such a great job that our mother decided to do an open casket service because he looked so good. Yes, a little morbid to speak of but our family was so pleased to give our dad our last goodbyes in this fashion.Thank you David Wysocki Funeral Home, for helping us get through our grief.
Tom: I went as a visitor to attend a viewing for friend's relative Seemed like a standard funeral home. It's a smaller venue than what I'm used to but if that's what you need, seems sufficient. Parking was hard to navigate as there are 2 driveways to get in. They could use a larger sign to help people find it. The place was clean overall. I'm not sure who the staff were so maybe more identifiable badges. Good overall.

Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home: what do users think?
Sherry Marentette: They were absolutely wonderful!!They handled everything and made this process easy to handle during this difficult time with losing my dad. I highly recommend Edward Swanson and son to anyone
Jacob Jahr: My family and I are extremely grateful to all of the staff at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home. Prompt, courteous, and respectful at every stage of the very difficult time of losing a loved one. Their dedication to professional and kind service was evident at all times, even with me having to arrange services from Florida. Most questions and concerns are addressed on the spot and if they need to get back with you, you receive a response the next day at the latest. I would personally like to thank Dennis and Art for all of their help.
Victoria Miller: Everyone was very polite and explained everything to me. They helped me a lot through a very rough time. They helped from being to end. They checked on me even afterwards. I just have to say thanks again.
Sharon Natale: Great people to help us through a devastating time
David Kurmas: Dennis Swanson is always caring and helpful makes things easy on the family and we appreciate that thank you very much
Tarsha Brooks: Rebecca and the rest of the staff made this difficult time a smoother process. Everything was done in a professional and caring manner. I had my father’s funeral service there first and it was handled properly hence the reason I did my mother’s service there too. I would recommend this funeral home to friends and relatives.
Christine Busque (Fandangogirl): Dennis and his staff are very compassionate people. They were honest and upfront about charges and didn't pressure us into any sales. Dennis was helpful and responsive.
Barbara Pape: I recently loss a family member in Madison Heights. MI. I live in Florida. Due to COVID I was not able to travel to MI to make final arrangements and attend the funeral. Dennis Swanson, Director of Swanson Funeral Home took care of all our familes needs during this difficult time keeping me informed each step of this sad journey. It brought us comfort to be in Swanson's care.
Ann Mcreynolds: I would like people to know that anyone who has a prepaid funeral cash it in. My dad had one. All of his payments were put in an escrow account that wasn’t disclosed by the funeral home at the time we were making arrangements. After the funeral I found a document from sun trust bank. I thought it was a stock. It was not. It was for my dads preplanned funeral. The funeral director said he is entitled to keep the remaining funds. This amount is $4500. So my dads funeral was $9800. Add the escrow amount of $4500 that the funeral director kept from escrow. My dad paid $14,300. This is a total scam .
Jeannette mymother1: Edward Swanson &Son came quickly and removed my husbands body from our home. That was and still is very important to me because other Funeral Homes were call by my Sister-in-law and we were told they could not pick up my husband.I was quite satisfied with how understanding and caring the staff is .I highly recommend the Swanson Family
Judie Genaw: I want to thank Dennis and his staff. Their compassion and prompt follow through were greatly appreciated during this time.
Kim Kress: Dennis and the rest of the employees of the funeral home were very informative, helpful and professional. They took care of every single detail.
Maggie Gildon: Thank you Edward Swanson and son. You provided such warmth, kindness and professionisn. You handle everything for us and we greatly appreciate it.
Chris Perry: I had three funerals there. They do a beautiful job on the love ones and the staff are wonderful people. I highly recommend them.
Anthony Marzilli: They made the quick decisions easy and were all wonderful people to work with.
Chistopher Collins: Dennis and his team were the ultimate professionals. The team was very compassionate towards our whole family. There were questions to answer and information that was needed. Dennis and Art were great. We have used Edward Swanson and Son in the past for other family members and it is always the same excellent service.
Cheryl Cooper: My son passed away 2006, suddenly slip and fall, head injury. Swanson, son and staff were wonderful during such a stressful time. Kept close contact re everything. Now, that a dear friend John Manzilli there I felt needed to share.
C. Empson: Swanson & Son, Madison Heights, MIHelpful and friendly staff. Answered most of my questions before they were asked. Made everything as easy for me as possible . Beautiful location. I would recommend.
Elizabeth Donagan: This is the second time I have had a need for a Funeral Home, and both times Swanson & Son Funeral Home proved to be a very caring compassionate Funeral Home. My husband didn't leave a very large Insurance Policy, and basically I could only afford the bare minimum in order to have a little cash left over to cover for his bills, Mr Dennis Swanson couldn't have been kinder. I was afraid I would go into a hard "sell" during my grief, what I received was the complete opposite. He didn't try to sell me anything. He just wanted to know how he could help, and provided the bare minimum cremation that my husband wanted. When a loved one passes, and you are seeking a Funeral Home, I highly recommend Swanson & Son. I have instructed my children at the time I leave this Earth, to please contact these kind people.
Will B: Swanson and Son supported me with funeral services and burial for my Mom. They were extremely accommodating and respectful throughout the process. Jackie and Art did a great job as leads for Swanson and Son.
Pete B: Good service

A H Peters Funeral Home: what do users think?
Lea Wood: Thank you to everyone at A.H. Peters.. Especially Erin you were very kind and compassionate.. We couldn't have asked for anyone better..
K M: I would give them no stars, but it won't allow me they have been horrible as if dealing with a death isn't bad enough they have made this even worse don't go there.
Julie L: About 2 weeks ago we had my father's military funeral here. We have nothing bad to say. We do however have excellent reviews. Erin is who we dealt with and she has gone above and beyond to help my mother during this difficult time. She has gone so far as to bring the urn to my mother because she's handicapped. The funeral home was beautiful, the staff was great and made sure we had everything we needed. I am so happy that I was the one to help choose where to have the service. Going forward, this will be our choice, A H Peters in Warren.I even raved to my Facebook neighborhood page, all that replied from my neighborhood raved as well.Keep up the great work. We were pleased with the service from beginning to end. THANK YOU!!!!
Jessica Archer: I have sat on this review for 18 months. It's been almost two years since my grandmother's funeral and I still cannot believe the callousness and gall of the funeral director we worked with. I don't remember his name... Just that he was old and inconceivably rude.It was October 2020 and the height of COVID. We were literally burying a COVID victim and this director refused to wear a mask properly... He even mocked it. I lost count of the amount of times he boasted that he had been "EXPOSED TO COVID 17 TIMES AND NEVER GOT IT." Sir... Read the room.At the cemetery, he forced COVID-exposed family members who were trying to keep their distance to carry the casket to the grave, once again laughing it off and dismissing the pandemic altogether. Thank goodness our family's priest was present, otherwise I would have fully (and loudly) let that jerk know how I felt right then and there. We had just spent a week listening to (because we weren't allowed to visit the hospital) this disease take the matriarch of our family. If you can't leave your opinions out of it and be sensitive to grieving people, then maybe funeral work isn't for you... Or maybe it's time to retire.
Jillian Newman: During the worst time of my life, I was thankful to have AH Peters and specifically my Funeral Director Scott, to guide me through the very difficult process of planning a funeral. Scott was patient and kind and went the extra mile to make sure my husbands visitation and service was perfect. Scott was communicative through the entire process, and continues to answer any questions I have nearly 3 months later.
Moe Cool: My family has had several great experiences with A.H. Peters Funeral home, most recently with my mother's funeral. Always compassionate, considerate, helpful and sympathetic.Emily and the rest of the staff took very good care of mom as well as the rest of our family. From the day we sat down to discuss the funeral all the way through the service at White Chapel Cemetery, they took the time to listen and guide us through this difficult process. My father had prepaid for his and mom's funerals back in 1998 and there was absolutely no confusion as to what had been pre-arranged. They had all the appropriate documentation on file and reviewed it thoroughly with us.Beyond that, they ensured that mom's transportation from her house to the funeral home was quiet and dignified. They let us know that they were there to serve us... with compassion and respect. And the little things... frequently asking us if we needed anything... water, a snack... whatever. Organizing the funeral procession, following up with us at White Chapel... making sure they did everything they could for us.Giving us another box of thank you cards when we ran out, refusing payment for the additional cards. Cleaning up the flowers after the service, taking down the photo displays and placing our pictures securely in envelopes... putting everything in a beautiful black keepsake box for us to take home... they were amazing.Losing a loved one is very difficult, and it's a blessing to have someone help you when you really need help. I wish I could remember all of their names because I would like to thank each one individually. My Sincerest Gratitude to AH Peters Funeral HomeMartin Jenkins
Timothy Madigan: My Mother passed away last month and our family decided to use A. H. Peter’s Funeral Home in Warren because that is where my father was laid out. We were paired with our funeral director, Samantha C. I cannot say enough great things about working with Samantha. She was professional, compassionate and empathetic. Her and AHP did a wonderful job paying respect to my mother, her family and guests. I would highly recommend working with AHP and Samantha C.
Michelle Trzin: Attended a funeral at my church this past week. We have used AH Peters several times. I was disappointed with the young lady/director this time. Not only did she knock on the kitchen door of our church hall, she had an attitude that she could not set up in the church because there was a service going on at the time in which I informed her that it would be over in a few minutes. When the hearse was heading to the cemetery, our priest asked a few of us to take some of the flowers from the church to the hearse for transport. This young lady had an attitude about this and blurted out “the Catholics don’t do this!” Well, we are Orthodox and I am not sure what the catholic rituals are.Someone at this funeral home, preferably in management should have a conversation with this egotistical young lady because if I would have, it wouldn’t have been pleasant. While you are at it, please explain to her what compassion is for the sake of the grieving people she will encounter in her career and maybe a tutorial on different religions, since she didn’t not acknowledge there are others out there other than Catholic.
Shelley Jo: My original reviews have been deleted. Gee.....I wonder why. Very bad experience at Peters. Won't spend time to explain what they will delete. Cannot post without giving 1 star. They don't deserve that. Nearly 6 years later my mother is still waiting for a phone call from the owner!
Pang Chang: My dad's funeral was here and eveything ran smoothly and it was beautiful. I was so shocked at how affordable the funeral was. It was very affordable unlike other places which included 3 days of service and the casket.
Annie Smith: My family has had most of our funerals here and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Most recently we had my aunts funeral and I had my daughters funeral there, the staff is so compassionate and accommodating. Scott was absolutely amazing during my time of grief and planning, he went above and beyond for my family and I.
Dan Archer: Only individual at the funeral not wearing a mask was the Peters Funeral Director. When he motioned to me to be a pall bearer, I explained that I was in quarantine and needed to keep my distance. He then proceeded to laugh and tell us all “I’ve been exposed 17 times and I’m still here!” essentially denying Covid...as we were trying to bury my 95 year old grandmother...who died of Covid. Unbelievable.
Ray LaVigne: My family used A.H Peters for my mother and just 2 month ago, my father. They are nothing but professional and went well beyond for my family. Both locations are first class!! Very clean and kept up. From the owner down to the person who opens the door, they are hands down the best! I would recommend them to anyone.
Mitchell Berkley: Only giving 1 star because zero isnt an option. Harrassed upon entry by the 900 year old "security guard" who didnt even know the names of the funerals happening that day. Then was continully harrassed by the continued whispers of both the "security guard" as well as MANAGEMANT every time walking through the lobby. Definitely would never recommend this place to anyone who would like to be treated respectfully during their time of loss. This was the Warren location.
Donald Bo: Very disappointed , Kept the Mother from the priest just before the prayer service. Took the brothers name from the service as if he had not existed. they were camped in the lounge like high security. The pew had rips and tares. no benches outside. many simple gestures were not available as should be during a grieving .
Mike Listman: At a difficult time for our family after my mother's death and with no real experience organizing a funeral, we were very pleasantly surprised with the very warm and competent attention we received from AH Peters and particularly staff member Brittani Crisp. Thanks and God bless!
Suz W: Compassionate service from everyone here for several family members. Caring, professional staff in a comfortable setting. Memorable service in the beautiful chapel.
Dennis Maisano: I’m believable service
Joanna Tuch: Kathy at A.H Peters helped us after my dads passing. She was kind, caring and thoughtful. She made my mom and I feel comfortable during this difficult time. Even though we didn't have a lot of money to spend, Kathy was so very understanding and helped us through it. I have nothing but good things to say.. Thank u Kathy
linda burdo: I cannot say enough of the people at this funeral home. They helped me to get most of the plans taken care of while my Dad was in hospice, then they were all ready when he passed. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and the plans went without a hitch. We had our service in the Chapel and it was beautiful . My family chose to have our own private time at the cemetary the next day and they helped to make sure that was beautiful as well. Having everything handled so well made a hard time much easier. God Bless all of you

Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home: what do users think?
Jacob Zehel: I had the best experience with Temrowski & Sons!! The professionalism and kindness was the best. Michelle and Sarah are the 2 nicest women. Thank you for everything!
Kathleen Kuskowski: It’s incredibly hard losing someone you love so much, but Brian, Matthew, Michelle and the rest of the staff at Temrowski’s made us feel like family. They saw to all of our needs and requests effortlessly. We made the right decision choosing them to care for my father in law.
Christina Young: Richard was so kind and very accommodating, we were able to do everything exactly as our loved one would have wanted. Our family and friends had nothing but nice things to say about the facility, it was very clean and comfortable. They handled everything for us and we are very grateful.
Mark Clark: Dan and staff made the funeral process of my mother's passing smooth and the experience made my family's grieving process (he also provided service for my sister's passing a year before) lighter. Thank you for the compassion in our time of loss.
Melissa Thomson: We had a wonderful experience during a difficult time. Sarah H was amazing to work with. Would highly recommend!
Jason Nawrocki: Thank you Michelle for the awesome job on the pictures you fixed for my Father Allan Nawrocki. And all the support you have giving to our family. Very much appreciated. And the Temrowski Family for everything you guys have done. Stay blessed healthy and happy
Veronica Dory: My mother-in-law, Ailene passed at the age of 91. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, we could not have the funeral we had planned for her. Due to social distancing we were only allowed to have 12 people at the funeral home and 10 people at the cemetery. No flowers, no military honors for my father-in-law, who had previously been cremated and was being buried at the same time. Donned in masks and gloves we went yesterday to say our good-byes.Ana from the funeral home assisted us through the process and did such a wonderful job. My mother-in-law looked 10 years younger and would have been so pleased. They folded my father-in-laws military flag for us and put it on display. Ana even found a bagpiper that was willing to come to the cemetery, which made the experience very heartfelt. She also, walked through the mud at the cemetery to take the thank you note to the bagpiper for me, as she didn't want me to get my shoes muddy. From the pre-planning of my mother-in-law's funeral to taking her and my father-in-law to their final resting place, Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home was there for us and made it as personal as they could in these current circumstances. Thank you so much, God Bless.
Mathieas McNaughton: I'm updating this review from a 4 to a 5, because frankly I can't think of a reason for it not to be a 5. We were completely unprepared for my Father's passing, we first contacted Termrowski a few hours after my Father passed, yet they were able to handle everything in just a couple of days. Richard was particularly helpful in making all of the arrangements. He also wrote a very nice Obituary for the website.I cannot think of a single thing they could have done better.
Matthew Isopi: My family required services for my grandmother who passed away due to Alzheimer's. We've used Temrowski for prior family members, and each one was treated with the love, care, and respect as if they were talking care of their own familes. They met every request we had with gentility and passion and provided a peaceful and proper ceremony trailered to how we needed it to process properly. I wholeheartedly recommend then if you are in the need of funeral services.
Anne Marie Bedard: Our family's experience with Temrowski Funeral Home was absolutely wonderful, not once but twice. They cared for us when my dad died, and then again several years later when we lost my mom. The owners and staff were utterly professional at every phase of the process, helping us to create beautiful farewells for our parents. Beyond that, they were deeply compassionate and made us feel that we truly had companions on this most difficult journey. Some of our requests were complicated, such as hosting viewings for my mom in two separate cities; they accommodated this without any problem. The awesome staff member who worked with us most closely answered all of our many questions and traveled quite a way to be with us at the more remote viewing. It might sound like a cliche, but the Temrowskis truly made us feel that they cared about our family, and that we were a part of theirs. I would never choose anyone else to handle funeral arrangements for a loved one.
Mary Giasson: Everyone should be welcome to attend a funeral, including children. The words used by the blond woman towards my sister's children this evening was "intolerable" and the dirty looks throughout the evening were also unappreciated. The other staff was much better but this woman ruins people's perception of your business. One star for her, 5 overall. The men who came to the home were very respectful, professional, and appreciated.Edit:thank you for addressing this. I very much appreciate your concern on his matter. Rating changed to 5 stars.
Karen H Rice Scott: I met the staff recently during the service for my Father, Andrew R.Henderson, Jr. The service was just what he would have wanted and the military tribute meant a lot. Our situation was a unique one but the staff worked with my (local) family to ensure everything was executed with the utmost compassion and sensitivity. The facility is beautiful and the chapel accommodated our family well. Thank you for all you did to make this difficult time less painful.
Sabrina Sustainable Life: Funeral directors and staff were completely amazing for both of my grandparents funerals. Very compassionate and friendly. Highly recommend
Kimberly Hart: We were first introduced to the Temrowski Funeral Home with the death of Detroit Police Department Officer Scott Stewart. With their compassion, kindness, generosity and attention to every detail, we have since used their services and recommended them many, many times. They have arranged the funerals for our parents, sister in law, family friends, and we have recently found out that others have pre-arranged their funerals because of their never failing attempt to be the most kind and competent funeral director. We now consider them a part of our family, as they have always done so much to comfort us in our time of need.
Anne Pielach: Thank you for beautiful job you did for my dad Frank Sacha. The staff were very helpful and compassionate. Thank you David and Michelle.
Trish O: I can not say enough about Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home. I felt they went above and beyond with the Memorial for my Dad, however, I believe that is their normal level of service. David Temrowski and the staff knew exactly how to support me through the entire process. I never felt lost and their handling of the memorial allowed me to both grieve and celebrate my Dad. My Dad was shown much respect and caring. The attention to detail made my Dad's memorial the event he deserved. From an amazing obituary, slideshow, and presentation at the visitation to USMC decals on the hearse, and Military Honors at the funeral, Temrowski's really thought of everything. The Funeral Home is updated, clean and bright and the hearse looked new. The staff was very helpful, professional and kind. I never felt pressured to purchase anything and felt the cost was well worth it. This is a family owned and operated business and it shows. Thank you so much to Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home.
J. Flynn: The Temrowski & Sons funeral home recently handled the funeral for my dear mother. They were extremely kind and attentive to our needs. This included picking up my mother asap from the hospital and staying with her body until she was buried. My mother looked beautiful at her viewing and everyone complimented how she looked. It could not have been easy to handle the large volume of requests we made to the Temrowski team, but they answered every question with a great deal of courtesy and professional knowledge. We also appreciated the website tribute to our mother. The Temrowski & Sons funeral home has my highest recommendation.
John Ward: My wife's Mother was laid out here last month. This place is remarkable. Every staff member was so kind and considerate. I will recommend this funeral home #1.
Linda Henderson: Recently attended my aunt's funeral. Arrangements were all handled without issue. However, several of us found the staff to be disappointing. The woman who greeted us the evening of the visitation was cold and unsmiling. The gentleman who handed the funeral service seemed to be rushing as if late for a tee time. People skills are an essential part of this business. A caring and comforting demeanor is key. There is a way to keep things on schedule without making people feel pushed out the door. One word...UGH.
janice rice: Could not have been happier with our experience at Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home. My family and I will be forever grateful for the way they helped us through the most difficult time in our lives.
Mary Ottolini: I did not find the staff to be attentive to detail or to our family needs.

Verheyden Funeral Home in Eastpointe: what do users think?
Darnisha Bostic: This was the second time we used Verheyden Funeral Home for our love one. Kristen Orme at the Eastpointe location was very helpful and patient throughout the entire process. She made sure everything was set up really nice. The total cost for the funeral service was pretty reasonable. I will recommend Verheyen Funeral Home to my friends.
Jim: The compassionate help from everyone at Verheyden Funeral Home at Eastpointe was very appreciated.
Ann Strojny: April Elliott at Verheyden Funeral Home was SO helpful and sincere. She made me feel comfortable and more like a friend. Although I was skeptical about calling Aftercare for advice, Aaron was very knowledgeable and helpful. Both were very kind.
Tee F: Very professional.
Crystal Brown: Allison Joseph and Brian Joseph are the kindest, most-caring people, there is not one thing they could have done better. Allison saw to every detail, going way above and beyond all expectations. She reached for the stars and got them for us. Mr. Joseph, I wish I had met you in person to thank you for your kind consideration. I would give them a hundred stars if I could. We were treated like family. Allison has a tremendous amount of empathy for what family goes through. Thank you to everyone involved!
leta wilson: My sister passed in December. When Hospice of Michigan called for a pickup they were given a time but two hours later we were still waiting without a callback from Verheyden. They mixed up the times for the family hr/memorial, there was no employee to come help my nieces get the TV to work properly for the video, the pastor that they provided brought a dog into the service without regarding the fact that someone may have been allergic and the pastor interrupted the service to call out to his dog. It was a horrible experience for me and my family.
Sherene L: My Mom lost her battle with Cancer in July and because she was in hospice we knew we had to find a funeral right away. I called the eastpoint location to take a tour because my sister lived close by here. Mary was so nice and friendly and accomodating. She didn't pressure us and allowed us to take our time with decisions etc. while still keeping us on track, making sure that we got everything we needed. She didn't try to talk us into getting more expensive products or into things we didn't need. I just really appreciated her and the Verheyden team that assisted the day of the service. Thank you sooo much, everyone talked about how beautiful the service was.
Hollie: I had lost my son and only child, My son was 19 and passed with special needs, it's impossible to get life insurance for a special needs child, I called Verhyden while the coroner was here and explained to Verhyden I am a single Mother of a child with autism and inquired about the need to pay now, in payments and the rest in 2 weeks, I had never been away from my son overnight before and lack family and an agreement was made, the next day I recieved a call from Nancy Schultz and she said she was taking over and I would not get my son back until full payment was made regardless of prior arrangements , I immediately began to plead with her and explained my son wasn't sick and asked why I could no longer make payments, I would not had used Verhyden otherwise, I have no biological family and Nancy took advantage of that ,I began to raise money as quickly as possible, she ,Nancy called me everyday ,sometimes twice a day, the holiday and Sundays asking for her money as if she was holding him as coladeral , the lack of any empathy , I was so upset and confused I hadn't realized she was supposed to be helpful to me, i was treated horribly ,not did I just lose my only child I was literally harassed and told, my child would "eventually have to be disposed of" ,and she told me I was a terrible Mother because "I couldn't get a few people together to use their credit cards and pay for my son. She had absolutely no empathy whatsoever, on day 15 I realized from friends she was supposed to be helping me through this awful tragedy not harassing me, she would get me to a certain point of tears begging for payments back, and for my son, as promised then she, Nancy would end the call .I asked to see the death certificate twice ,Nancy refused until full payment was made ,my friends began to call ,I was afraid for them to do so ,I was in a state of utter shock and thought If they did Nancy would dispose of him like she said ,i just couldn't take anymore pain, my friends finally started to call Verhyden, one even left a review that Verhyden could not delete ,they asked me to ,please have my friend take the review down they would do anything ,they were in my shoes, if only for a moment. Finally after 17 days of emotional pain and just devastation, I'm a hands on Mother to a wonderful boy with Autism ,but after being told for almost 17 days "you are a terrible Mother and my child would be eventually disposed of", that changes a Mother, they didn't call and ask for permission to creamate him they just did ,after 17 days I was suspicious of why he passed, Nancy wouldn't show me the death certificate ,had she did I would have questioned the natural causes. This was the absolute just horrific experience , the worst 17 days of my life ,I'm a single Mom that couldn't get life insurance on her special needs child ,My sons first anniversary of his passing was yesterday and this experience has forever altered my life ,I don't want anyone else to go through the pain and agony of being kicked continually while you are already going through losing a child . Please if you have a child or family member with special needs go elsewhere. It happened to me, it can happen to you. I imagine 1 year later as I cry myself to sleep I imagine Nancy sleeps just fine ,I actually could go on about this awful experience, this certainly wasn't everything that went horribly wrong in those 17 heart breaking days. Nancy told me I had to be dishonest to DHS for extra funding, when I said "no" she reminded me my son would be disposed of..There is no way she's done that to just me, anyone without insurance I imagine.. If I could leave zero stars I would have .It's one year later and I think of this just God awful, 17 days every single day! and I imagine that will never change, Shame on you Nancy ,Shame. Our special children and family members should be treated with dignity and respect, that is something you won't find in Nancy Shultz.
Tracy Howard: The services were fabulous. Mr. Brian Joseph saw to my every need. I would recommend his services to family and friends. My brother's cremation was on August, 2018

Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home & Cremation Services: what do users think?
Kristina Walters: Jeniece was very professional and was very helpful. She did great with all accommodations and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. I would recommend this funeral home to everyone. Thanks for all your help with this difficult time.

Jackie Nemith: I can’t thank her enough for the amazing work she did and the patience with our family. My first time arranging a funeral which can be stressful. I absolutely recommend this funeral home. Thanks again for being so helpful and patient.
Danielle Martz: Jeniece was simply amazing. It is so hard to find people that take pride in what they do but Jeniece does just that and then some. Her funeral home is seriously a hidden gem. She made sure things were flawless. She prepared every detail like she was doing things for her own loved one. I will be forever thankful for her and her services during our time of sorrow.
Wendy Thompson: From start to finish absolutely amazing job. We knew we would have a ton people attending the funeral and would be busting at the seams; Jeniece and her mother did a fabulous job at accommodating our family. Every small detail was taken care of. From the DVD Memorial to accommodating our children (and there was ALOT,we have a big family). The decor is absolutely beautiful. And the fact that it was "just us" "our family & friends" and we did not have to share the space with another grieving family; it was just a very intimate setting, and exactly what we needed.Just, Thank You! for everything. The Lertola Family
Nicole Overholt: We held my father's memorial service here yesterday. Janiece was so wonderful through the entire process. She was so patient, kind and compassionate. Also, the memorial video she made for us is absolutely incredible and we will cherish it forever. Thank you Janiece for your kindness and grace. Our family is so grateful for the exemplary service.
Brenda Karakeian: Very kind, compassionate service for my mom’s memorial. Beautiful urn and custom printed prayer cards. The keepsake video of photos was amazing. We received many compliments. Jeniece is the best in her industry!
Jessica Liparoto: Jeniece, the owner of the funeral home, went above and beyond for us. She is a true professional and you can tell she loves what she does. She is patient, takes the time to explain everything, and we never felt any sales pressure. We were very thankful for her patience in our difficult time. Highly recommend.
Veronica Salazar: During a difficult and challenging time, we received the most kind and caring answers to all of our questions. I can’t thank them enough for their warm and professional approach. Thank you.
Dale Smith: Was very laid-back and relaxed for everyone the eulogy went terrific and everyone was satisfied with the amenities. It was very appreciated at the funeral director let us arrange our phone flowers and pictures and what not to make it go the way we wanted to go.
April: It’s always difficult to lose a loved one but Jeniece made our experience as wonderful as it could be. I’m very thankful for all her patience and guidance during the difficult time. This has been my best experience planning a funeral and unfortunately I’ve had to help plan a few. No sales pressure. Extremely kind. And very talented work for the viewing. Thank you Jeniece 🙏🏻
Keith Rusie: Our family is extremely grateful for the exemplary service provided by Jeniece and her team, after the loss of our family member. Our community is blessed to have this family business continue under her guidance and compassionate leadership. We never felt pressured during our time of grief and Jeniece provided us with affordable options to honor our loved one. She was extremely organized and engaged to ensure the visitation, service and burial was a proper celebration and tribute. We recommend this family-owned business without hesitation!
Constance Conway: My experience with Jeniece Ballerini at Skupny Funeral Home was exceptional. The funeral director was supportive, comforting and knowledgeable. I would recommend this funeral home and Ms.Ballerini.
Andrea Mehall: I had a wonderful experience working with this funeral home, advance-planning funeral arrangements with family. They offer a highly personalized approach, making an otherwise difficult conversation much more comfortable. The knowledge & customer service was top-notch. I'm so glad that my I could help ensure that wishes will be carried out, by a wonderful family-owned funeral home. If you want to be treated like family as you make arrangements, either before you need them, or on behalf of a loved one, look no further. Highly recommended!
Jennifer Haus: I highly recommend Walter Scott Skupny Funeral home. Jeniece was absolutely amazing, so comforting, organized and went above and beyond in one of the hardest times of our lives. Here you and your loved one will be treated with kindness and respect. Thank you for all you have done for our family.
what is up!: The new owner was wonderful ! Jeniece was very comforting, helpful, accommodating and personable. Thank you for taking on most of the responsibilities and making this sad situation exactly what my dad would have wanted.
stacy kulis: I couldn't be more happy with Lerry Skupny and his funeral home. He was there for me and my family from beginning to the end. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. His prices are lower then any other funeral is town yet the service we got from him was better then other places that people paid thousand dollars more for. Thank You Lenny for everything. From the Morris family.
MisterDeSoto: They did a great job. My angel passed away in hospice and they came at 3:30 in the morning to pick her up. She was cremated and placed in a beautiful marble urn. We did not have a conventional funeral but decided on a memorial luncheon instead. The cremation package was very respectful and reasonable in price. They handled the funeral cards, death certificates, and were very helpful throughout this grueling experience. Would recommend their services.

Clora Funeral Home: what do users think?
Nana Boy: I am embarrassed that I recommended this firm to one of our parishioners. I had went and paid Mr Clora for another parishioners husband’s cremation last year and he stated” if any other members need help we’d be glad to help them.” A grieving family was told me meet at the River Rogue location and no one was there and when contacted, they were told “you have until five to sign the body over”and was was hung up on. This is unbelievable. They ended choosing another firm outside of the community which is sad. We try so hard to support our businesses but are sometimes treated like beggars when we simply want clarity or ask questions. This is unacceptable when providing care to families their most difficult time. I hope others are treated better!
Genoris Granberry: My brother died in 2020 and my mother die in 2021. Me and my remaining sibling had both of the funeral arrangements entrusted to Clora. What can I say? Excellent work. The Staff is so professional and helpful. My family members were handled with dignity and honor. May God continue to bless Clora Funeral Home Family and Staff.
Candy: Young lady that worked there that I encountered was very pleasant!
Michele Terrell: The woman that opened the door for us was extremely rude. She lacked the ability to show compassion to grieving families. My dad expressed he was here for his mother and she had no compassion and rudely told him he can wait in the lobby. It was a better way she could have approached us.
The Court Reporter: This is my second funeral this year, 2021. I buried my mother January 8, 2021, then I buried her significant other December 29. I used Clora Funeral Home both times. I was born and raised in Detroit, but I live in Atlanta. I just want to take this time to say thank you to everyone at Clora Funeral Home for being professional, compassionate, understanding and loving. I mean, the people at Clora just wonderful. I would recommend their services to any and everyone at your time of loss. They are the best hands down.
April Tucker: The staff was nice enough. Just had a service for my daughter I felt as though I was not there, totally Ignored me even after I was introduced as the mother my daughter has no spouse all she has is a underage son I payed for all the services with the help of donations from family and friends. When asked about the death certificates and ashes, they told me somebody would contact the next of kin. I have not been contacted yet as of this day her services washeld on Wednesday November the 10th..
MR Boduke: Good service and they were friendly. The only issue is they catered to my father's wife and I am the one who payed for the funeral.
DeAndre Riley: Throughout some of the toughest times for our family, Clora Funeral has been consistently providing stellar service.
D. Martin: We have nothing but great things to say about Clora Funeral Home. My dad had just lost his only son and it was hard for our family. Mr. Clora personally took care of our family and my dad still today talk about how much he appreciated the kindness of Mr. Clora. Thank you sir for being what we heard you were. Kind , compassionate and the service was impeccable. Stay blessed.
Felisha Collins: It was clean
Alma Jones: I’m not even understanding how you all fumbled Mother Sheards Funeral so badly. That entire fiasco with that beautiful casket spray was a disgrace. All of the money that family obviously spent and you all can’t even place a spray on the casket correctly. If anyone wants to know what I’m talking about, go to You tube and view Mother Willie Mae Sheards Funeral. I know accidents happen but all of the unnecessary fooling around with it during the service was outright tacky.
Barry Allen: The Clora staff is outstanding and so very considerate of the service they provide. It was a first experience working with Clora as a clergy person. Stanley, our funeral director was phenomenal, professional, courteous, and his team did great. I hope our paths can cross again.
Diane Woods: They are very rude don’t use them they do not listen and they talk over you and they are very insensitive I will never use them again and suggest nobody else use them period. They are a sorry excuse of a business. Poor poor poor customer service
dwan brown: I would like to highly commend Mr. B. Sanders and Mr. M. Clora for their sincere respect and hospitality during the grieving time of my family. I really appreciate that I spoke and met Mr. Clora. Mr. Sanders was very professional, very supportive, and always greeted myself and my family with a smile and kind words. The great consideration, time, and patience from the Clora family staff. Thank you so much for the Great job for handling My Mother's care.Regarding late Great Mrs. Gracie M. Brown on April 6, 2019.Mr. Sanders, I once again, I Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!Dwan Brown Krisel
lilybadd91: Very terrible service rude employees never call back when they say.. I will not recommend there service..
waltisa moore: My family used Clora Funeral Home services for my cousin on March 6, 2019 and the level of expertise surpasses all other funeral homes. There is no comparison. They really care about the family. Please entrust your love ones to Clora Family Funeral Home. They’ll treat you like family!
Gabrielle Brown: My siblings and I entrusted Cloras with our father. First we donated my father's organs to Gift of life cloras assured me that they would call and let us know when they received his body they didnt I called two days after and was told by staff that they didnt have my father called the donation place and was told that cloras had picked up my father the day before finally got that straight. Then was told at first meeting with them that payment had to be paid by Wednesday but they called me and both of my siblings on a few days later asking for payment. So we paid the next day by cash. Then was told we couldn't have the Memorial Service do to building problems. The day before my father's Service I called to see if his ashes was ready was informed they were waiting on the medical examiner to sign off on the death certificate which was a lie saw that the death certificate was signed the day after my father passed away. Called several times about his death certificate was told they hold not received it yet but after calling the medical examiner office and going and talking to the hospital I was told they got the certificate on the 4 of October so I went up to the building and all their lies came out they tried to say they had just got it but they had filed it on the 9th. I wonder if I had not went up there how long would it had been before I got the death certificate. They are unprofessional, their staff needs to learn how to treat their customers and they are liars. I can say they did one nice thing they made it so that when my brother got town he could go to the crematorium to view my father's body. I will never go back here or send anyone here. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
Toni Tookes: Did a wonderful job for the family of Darryl Lance Jefferson I would recommend there services to anyone
Que Bezzy: No payment plan. They take advantage of the death of loved ones. I feel like we was muscled into picking a package. Don't go here!
Anita Alef: The service was very good the associates were very helpful and kind however this is my second funeral in 6 months and clora did not give me any kind of discount for return service I have a problem with that because they're still making money even if they have getting me a 2% discount for return service. This is after I spoke to clora himself major and he recognized the funeral of my mother 6 months before but still offered me nothing for my husband's funeral. Because we know funeral homes are unregulated and they can charge you whatever they want and still make money
Sabrina Moton: Did an excellent job of preparing the decease but the handling of the business part needs improvement. Right, their regards to the family could use some help as well.
