Gigi's: what do users think?
Travis: Fabulous place!
Jay F: I haven't been in years and I should've left it like that.. The doorman was talking to the couple ahead of me for a few minutes before he took my money. It took almost 10 minutes to get a drink and the club wasn't crowded. Also the shots servers didn't stop at our table to ask if we wanted one. And I was there for a couple of hours.. POOR SERVICE ALL NIGHT!!!Do better Gigi's!!!
Anthony Wiggins: Came in over the weekend for a surprise treat. Each of the performers were “lit” and made this a very enjoyable evening for us. A very special shout-out to our hostess, Nikki Stevens (a beautiful entertainer and comic gem) who made us feel truly welcome. Though it was my 1st time here, I’m quite sure it won’t be my last.
Gabrielle Jones: Outside of this place being 100% open to people of all kind they are more than friends they are more like family and there’s nothing like walking into a place where there doorman makes you wanna spend a night I love Howard the door man he amazing at what he doesn’t for Gigi’s and they cast is even more loving
Sania Mannie: Went here with friends from out of town we loved the staff and entertainment especially the door man Howard he alone is a good reason for going back he was funny very welcoming a great host and he was absolutely right about the pizza it really is the best no wonder he’s the best doorman in detroit go see him
Kimora: Just got home from having my birthday, the staff made me a walking panic attack feel nothing but joy, comfort, and safety. I honestly didn't want to leave! They even surprised us by calling me on stage and having everyone say happy birthday to me! I'm upset we didn't take pictures of it but the surprise and support were worth it! Thank you Gigi's for making my first time so memorable !!!
Kerry Duston: I had a blast when I went there for the drag show. Met some really cool people and enjoyed my night. Love this place and will def be back!!
Tyler McKenzie: We enjoyed the vibe and the shows at Gigis. Thank you Howard for the hospitality and the fun! Go to Gigi’s for a good time - sometimes a show in the downstairs cabaret space and upstairs. Great drinks.
Stefan Bogdanowicz: Howard is an amazing person to greet you and meet you at the door.Gigi’s is a decent LGBTQ club, and I can see the appeal on a weekend to spend the evening.Drinks especially their specials are good.Crowd that goes there however is a little clicky and can be difficult to try to meet someone and be friendly towards.
Michael Witkowski: The doorman is the reason I took some friends from out of town after reading reviews about Howard and he was everything and more so welcoming and told us everything we needed to know about the bar and convinced us to come for Halloween and we are so glad if for no other reason the staff and entertainment is great but it is worth it just to meet Howard at the door he is so much fun you'll see if you go....
Ray Loper: The guy at the door was great made us feel welcome we went both fri and sat night the Cabrera room was so fun ty for a great time we will be back
Soul Viper: I love this place. It's just everything that I love. I luv me Nikki's hugs. Haylie kills the crowd with her amazing body.
Howard Brizz: BEST BAR IN DETROIT….. DEFINITELY THE MOST FUN OF ALL GREAT ATMOSPHERE FOOD AND DRINKS ARE TOP NOTCH AS WELL AS THE STAFF AND ENTERTAINMENT
Charles Knapp: I love this bar. Even though it has been years since I've been there, it was always my favorite place to go. Mondays and Fridays were always the most fun. For me anyway! Go have a good time whether you are gay or an ally! Keep an open mind and just enjoy yourself, the entertainment and the inclusiveness!
Angie Grabovac: My absolute favorite place in the whole world. Making this place a weekly event. Howard the doorman- i love you.
David Canady: Grade A+ Hotdogs!!
Steven K: Dancers are fun. FYF is good, but there’s no way to know how many people go until once you arrive. For me at least it’s quite the distance. With covid, and just general uncomfortably, occasionally I just go and turn around and go home or something else to do. I’m not trying to be shoulder to shoulder in a small place for the entire show and shuffle back and forth so people can walk around me. I’m there for a good show not “excuse me” “excuse me”. Doorman can be snippy and blatantly disrespectful at times (the man with glasses). I legit give around $30-$50 in ones to the dancers, sorry I forgot to tip you old man. But to shame me for not tipping you in front of my friends? Darling, you’ve crossed the line. DJ is ok. I’d probably give it 2 stars but I don’t care to be roasted by a bunch of gays. Just trying to be informative of what to prepare yourself for.. it’s really compelling to never return.
Teri Jackson: First time here and the atmosphere is incredible. I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed due to Howard the doorman. He is so incredibly nice and welcoming! Will definitely be back! I’m having such a blast!
Dawn Jay: A great drag shows and a great atmosphere.
Omar Hinojosa: Super fun, there's two levels, lower level is the drag show and the upper level is the dance floor. Both are super fun. 10$ for both and 5$ for one of them.
Mikayla Kay: Brought friends from out of town and they had a blast and they absolutely loved the doorman on Friday and they were stunned by the performers but just fell in love with the guy at the door and can’t wait to go back just to see him

Affirmations: what do users think?
Ed Sears: Will be going often for monthly meetings. First time there it was nice!
whîsp: swag
Sydney Golon: Absolutely beautiful community center that is warm, welcoming, and full of resources for LGBTQIA2S+ people. Extremely grateful to have such a wonderful space right in the middle of town. 3
Catherine Stonecipher: Absolutely love this place. Caring people work here ❤️ they help me out every month. Thank you!
Chashah Johnson: Really amazing community space
Sona Avedian: This place offers so much to our community it's really hard to begin diving into it so abruptly. Go to their website and look at their schedule of events. They offer services for everyone. They help our community with health issues and social issues all throughout the week. First of all, their staff is all lgbt-friendly, and usually members of the community themselves. You feel comfortable talking to people there. Sometimes they display and even auction off artwork that was created by members of the LGBTQIA community. There's a beautiful piano in there that you can hear serenading the atmosphere. There's a cafe on the main floor is as well as a few event rooms and staff offices. Below the main floor is a library with books focusing on LGBTQIA issues. On the second floor, there are meeting rooms and offices for staff. Each day of the week they hold community support groups in these meeting rooms. I have been going to the transgender life support as well as the crossroads one for years. Both of them have been instrumental in getting me out of my shell and living my life authentically. Honestly, I cannot tell you that I would be here today without this organization. I know it is saved my life on several different occasions. Give it a try even if you're just debating the idea, go in there and check it out. It's super laid-back and everyone is so chill and wants to help YOU!
Adrianna Coronado: Wonderful events.. Best staff and volunteers!
Edward Johnson: Not friendly at all
Christopher H Kraska: Very friendly and helpful
al Keeton: Nice place. It is inclusive and has very friendly staff
Adrienne Jones: Affirmations is a much required safe space that maintains an open door for necessary community education. I'm glad it is remains available.
Monica Leigh: Great community support center
Robyn Cavender: Always a good time honestly. Good friends and a safe space.
Wynter Creed: Very great for the LGBTQ but needs more diversity
Christian Kroeyr: Under staff but a good resource for LGBTQ community.
Kathleen Morris: Everyone working there were great. The Golden Girls show was fabulous! Really great night.
Matthew Barton: Great organization and facility!
Christina Fisher: H❤️ME
John Ross: Fabulous Reopening 👍 All the Staff is on their A-Game! Thank You for an Amazing Facility! Love you All 💋 JR
Val Bralt: We are extremely fortunate to have Affirmations community center. It's a place of gathering and support services,
Jupiter Blooms: One of few places I would rate above five stars of I could. Unparalleled work with the community, offering services (primarily for LBGT youth) such as STI testing, physicals and guidance. Had a small eatery, a library, public computer and a game room! Truly caring staff tops this place off as one of the most wonderful places I have ever been.
