Renee Haynes: I went to this store to get my fiancé’s finger sized… there is a doorbell on the door. I pressed the doorbell once, no one answered…. I was peering through the window and saw a young lady with a customer but two other gentleman just roaming behind the counter…. I waited about 45 seconds and rang it again….. still nothing….I waited another 30 seconds…. NOTHING AGAIN. Then I decided to press it three times because I thought maybe it was broken or something and she finally buzzed us in. Once we were inside the store everyone was staring, no one greeted us and they continued as if we were not there…. I immediately turned to my fiancé and said “oh no…this is not the store for us”. I was walking out and the door was locked, I said out loud.. “ can you let me out of here” and she opened the door still to this day not one person acknowledged our presence. Long story short if you are BLACK do not go to this jeweler!

Crystal Coates: LaLonde has definitely set the bar high for any other jewelry store I go to from here on out.One of the hardest things to do is part with a sentimental item given by a close loved one. Because of a personal crisis I unfortunately had to make this very painful decision. I went to three different jewelry stores, one of which was a televised franchise, and was immediately turned off by their cold demeanor, lack of customer service, and insulting low ball price evaluations. When I walked into LaLonde the atmosphere was aesthetically pleasing and inviting. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted with a warm smile and welcome by one of the owners. The appraiser who is also one of the owners wasnt in the building at the time of my arrival, so the other owner and her associate began the process of evaluation while keeping friendly conversation as I waited. When the owner/appraiser arrived I was treated more like an old friend than a first time customer. I was educated on the piece I was selling, got excellent business and life advice, and laughed while feeling at ease throughout the whole one hour process. I wasnt rushed and my transaction didnt feel like a meaningless revolving door which is the vibe I got from every other place.When it was all said and done I left with an offer higher than all three prior stores and the peace of mind knowing that my sentimental item was left in good hands. While leaving I knew that my loved one would understand my dilemma and be proud of choice that I made.LaLonde is the epitome of great customer service.

If I wasn't a professional person I would have not been as polite with my choice of words. But not everyone can be reasoned with or deserve the time of day to deal with. Do not even bother with this rip off store. Not to mention the owner/worker tells people one thing and lies about it with a bold face and acts like nothing is wrong with not doing as you claim to nor keep their word like an adult should. To have a business and only allow people in by appointments regardless of not having any customers inside the store with non-covid restrictions in effect makes perfect sense for something shifty and definitely suspicious to say the least. And on top of his rude and unapproachable attitude his ridiculous and entitled disposition as he condescendingly insults everybody 🤷🤦👎
