M: St. John Greek Orthodox church is my church, the church of my heart. It is true it is a very beautiful with a hard-working choir with lovely voices but it also has a youth group, Sunday School, seniors' group, a monthly dinner for the seniors,choir, and people who get together to make a bag of goodies for the poor, coffee hour after church service and other groups and activities like dances.

Karam Shammas: What a beautiful church is this church, you can't describe the beauty of this place by saying some words but you need to visit and see by yourself. Specially the small chapel attached to the church, I consider this spot of land as a piece of heaven, don't say I am exaggerating in my description, go and see by yourself then make a comment on my review. If you are a speritual person looking for piece then attend this place. The prayers was in Greek language but I can understand what they are saying because all Orthodox services are symmetrical.The services of the Greek Orthodox church are properly conducted each day following a rigid, but constantly changing annual schedule (i.e., parts of the service remain the same while others change depending on the day of the year). Services are conducted in the church and involve both the clergy and faithful. Services cannot properly be conducted by a single person, but must have at least one other person present (i.e. a Priest cannot celebrate alone, but must have at least a Chanter present and participating). Usually, all of the services are conducted on a daily basis only in monasteries and cathedrals, while parish churches might only do the services on the weekend and major feast days.

However, you do not rate a Church on their physical food! Man does not live by bread alone but every word that proceedeth from the father. The Orthodox church can trace its roots directly back to the orginal12 apostles. Unbroken I am Lutheran myself but Christian first and cannot deny the authenticity of the Orthodox and which means mmj any things but the original standard being one and that they alone have the most accurate dogma. Kunaal Saigal: Having attended a number of Greek Festivals last year we were really looking forward to attend this festival. One of the major draws was supposed to be authentic home made Greek cuisine. Unfortunately that was the source of disappointment. The food was over in a jiffy, and the one authentic item that was available the "Chicken Gyro" was a cold and a complete let down. Good effort, unfortunately poorly executed.

Christine S: I had Jury duty and used the parking lot at this church. Jury duty lasted 5 days. $20 a day was pricey, the Jury paper stated juyers would get discounted parking at this lot. I dont know why they didn't give me the discount. I even told the attendant each day that I had jury duty and i showed the attendant the form. I will use this lot again if needed in the future. They had cameras and a short walk from the court house.

Ken Rowls: There was a homegoing service and repast for a member of New Birth Int'l Church (no, there wasn't a body there). The staff and caterers were so nice and helpful. Even though I am a vegetarian, what I could eat was very pleasant to the taste! I see why they are often used for such occasions (I hope this review is acceptable)!

Eden: All I can say is do not waste your money at this hall. You will be mistreated, disrespected and will have a price change so many times. It was a horrible experience we had at this hall. Where should I begin? Penny is the lady we have dealt with to get the hall. She had a price changed so many times. We have told there is a chair for the bride and groom provided by the venue, but two weeks before the wedding we were told the chairs need to be covered as a result of being in bad shape so we have to rent the chairs. The embarrassing moment for our family was on the day of our ceremony. Penny came in shouting, screaming, insulting guests and family that were in the kitchen helping, mind you using the kitchen was a part of our contract. The horror didn’t stop there. She came after the bride and groom arrived and told our family to leave the hall right away and she will throw the money in our face. She called her supervisor or manager and she was told to leave us alone. Then the servers throw all the real knives in trash which as a person with right mind could understand you need to put sharp material in hazardous containers however it was toss out in to the trash. We have asked why and to stop it but they didn’t. 300 real knives we have bought was thrown like it was nothing. That wasn’t it but all the decorations we have bought and used were gone in matter of going out to the car and coming back inside. We have told by the servers that were there they didn’t see anything. And at the end penny accused our guests stealing of a vase that was provided by the hall. If you really wanna enjoy your special day and would like to be treated the way you should be this isn’t the place. Avoid it. Don’t get yourself stress.

Kech: Got ourselves a disappointment. Treated rudely, charges has changed time to time, accused of stealing vases and all our decorations that we have spent good amount of money was taken away and acted like they never been there. HORRIBLE PLACE. If you want to enjoy your special event this isn’t the place. Run away from it.

A lady was screaming for the wedding to end and she wanted to refund the money. Everyone was begging her to come down and it was a terrifying experience. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go throw this nightmare.

We were told by penny a couple weeks before my wedding that she will return the money and I can look for another venue like there was no contract was signed. On the day of our reception Penny came in and tried to create so much drama and treated my guest, family, friends, my husband and myself rudely. Penny kept saying to my mother “I will throw your money right now and I want you to get your guest, bride and groom out of here” after we have arrived and started our program. She was disgustingly telling people and removing people from the kitchen which was a part of our agreement to use the kitchen. She was yelling and screaming. I wasn’t appreciative of what has been done on my wedding day. The servers throw away real knives even after they were told not to do so. They were not told by any of my family to throw anything however there excuse was they were told to throw away everything. All the decorations we have used that we spend so much money was taken and we never go an answer about it. I have called ken to speak with him and left him a voicemail never get a call back which shows me there is no respect what so ever. If there was 1/2 a star that is what I would have given this venue. Horrible place. DONOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go somewhere else where you can be treated well.

Threatened to remove guest and return money during the ceremony for no particular reason. Robbed all the wedding decorations right after the wedding. Ordered servers to Throw away hundreds of knives owned by us.Considering legal actions! Very horrible experience.

Paul McPherson: I attended divine liturgy at St. Clement in Dearborn. While l was there l learned about the genius that St.Clement was and his contribution to Christianity. The divine liturgy was in English and the clergy and congregation were very welcoming.
