Jay Welch: So I discovered I broke my blade holders on my skates 30 min before game time. The guys at b&r saved the day big time- they drilled out and installed new holders and blades, sharpened them and had me on the ice before the end of the first period! Major kudos! Thanks for the great service!
Yousef Omar: Bad customer service. I called several times and they asked me to send an email instead. I sent 2 emails asking for a refund or a replacement, but they never responded. I will never go back.Edit: In response to the reply from owner.I picked up the shirts from B&R sports regardless if it was a hockey shop or not. I ordered two shirts with the exact same size using the size charts which are perfectly clear. One shirt fits my son the other is at least 2 sizes smaller! If this is not an error from B&R, whos mistake is it then? I do not want a refund of $10 anymore, but I do not like being sold something I will never use because of a mistake not caused by myself. Apparently, you finally read my emails after posting a bad review, but you still are insisting that this is not a defect!

MissionSparta: Smaller place compared to the big franchises, but this is what is good about it. They hand pick their employees and they are trained. They know what they are talking about. Not saying a mistake can't be made but go down the street to the big franchises and it's high school kids that don't give a care and will push on you whatever gets you out the door the quickest. There is an honest effort to get you the right equipment and size here.

I looked around for a second and found one thing I was looking for and couldn't find the other so I asked her and she immediately knew where I needed to go and pointed me in the direction. At checkout she was again so nice and got me in and out pretty quickly. We need people like her in management positions to help train new employees in customer service! She embodies the customer service experience♡ Dunhams should instill a customer survey so their employees can get recognition directly to them!

Alexis Allor: Everyone here was SO helpful with getting me my first pair of hockey skates. The gentleman who helped me was super knowledgeable and he helped fit the skate to my foot. He asked me questions I wouldn't have thought of to make sure that I was truly happy with how it fit. They measure your feet so you know that you're going to get a really accurate sizing. The price was reasonable as well, I was expecting to pay so much more than I did and the gentleman who helped me made sure to ask what my budget was so he could help me find a more reasonable skate. I am so happy with what I walked out with, I will definitely be back to buy anything else I may need. This is the place to go for hockey stuff, the guys here really know what they're doing!

The closest hockey store is 45 minutes away from us and there are plenty to choose from in that area that sell the same merchandise. What sets them apart is their customer service! Ashley Zimmerman: I am giving this place 2 starts because I have never had an issue until 2 days ago. My son had a game at the rink so we stopped into this place and ended up buying a $200 stick. After the game my son and his dad said that they cut it to short. I went back in and told them this and the guy who cut it was whispering to another employee. I ended up saying does my son need to come in so you can make sure. They said yes. He came in and it was 2 inches to short. They were so incredibly rude about it and never one said they were sorry. I told them that I was not mad and just wanted the error fixed because I spent over $200 there that day. RIDICULOUS!!!!

Ronald Brown: I haven’t played hockey in quite some time. Now that I have more time I want to start skating again. Kyle took a lot of time talking to me up front about my goals, measuring my feet and trying on a number of skates. All the while he listened to what I was saying. He and Nathan ultimately found me a great pair of skates that fit my budget. Definitely give them A+ for customer service. They have a great selection of equipment. Highly recommend this shop and the staff.
Greg Vaquera: Just stopped in to buy a pair of Skates because my feet are real wide and just hard to find in my size. So I go to the 2 kids at the counter one was on his phone obviously too busy and the other was polite and helpful. When I asked the 2 boy at the desk so how does this work no skates will fit me here ?? Do we special order or?? He said how does what work ?? I said bye, if you’re that oblivious and you’re phone is more important than a customer..??? Sad
Austin VanLangen: If i could leave a rating for sharpening only it’d be 0 stars. Steel was angled so bad on both skates with the outside edge being high and uneven throughout the runner. Felt like i forgot how to skate. Three stars only because the selection is good, staff is fairly friendly, and they did bake (and sharpen) my skates on the spot.

Bradley Schmidt: Just stopped in to get my skates sharpened. Three guys at the desk, one of them was on the phone. One kid politely asked if I was looking to get my skates sharpened he walked them back to the sharpening area and said it'll be a few minutes as a guy that sharpens skates is on the phone. No problem. After walking around the store for 10 minutes the guy that sharpens skates was still on the phone and I could clearly hear him. He was talking about his salary and paid time off vacation pay, medical leave, etc etc. Obviously a personal call to their HR department or something. After walking around for another 5 minutes and him still on the phone I just left. He clearly saw me and knew that I was there to get my skates sharpened this is not acceptable. I'll most likely never be back to this location.
Dale Kauffman: As far as hockey stores go, Perani’s has always been my last choice for anything other than tape/wax. We’ve started to get mixed experiences at the other local stores lately as well so decided to try them again.The staff at this location were friendly, but I’m extremely disappointed in the manager at this location. We had a defective pair of skates on our hands and he tried to tell us that they were fine and to “use a mallet” to secure the blade into the holder. Exact words.We let him fit us into a few different pairs of skates after finally convincing him to take the skates back, but my son hated nearly every pair he put us into. He gave really specific feedback and the manager just kept trying to push a specific pair of skates at us.After finding someone at another company that actually took the time to take measurements instead of relying ONLY on the Bauer scanner, we had a much better experience and bought from them.This is an okay place for anything you don’t need help with, but I wouldn’t buy skates here.

Laurie Skawinski: While checking hockey gear this morning, before a fly-away to the NAPHL tournament in Michigan, my son noticed his hockey helmet was damaged. We tried to reshape the helmet and get the cage back into place with no luck. His flight from San Diego to Detroit doesn't land until 10 PM this evening, and his first game is at 8 AM tomorrow morning. On a wing and a prayer, I called Perani's to see if they could help. Nick and Lance were fantastic! They confirmed they had a replacement helmet and cage for me to purchase. Now the only issue was how to get it to my son before his o'dark early game tomorrow. I was hoping there was a delivery service, or I was thinking of hiring an Uber/Lyft to pick it up. Lance kindly offered to drop the helmet off at the hotel. Lance's and Nick's generosity, kindness and reaction to my hysteria (lol), was above and beyond! I cannot thank them enough for coming through for our hockey family. Jennifer Ortwein: Exceptional customer service! Nathan Salzeider made my son's Christmas by spending over a week hunting down a hard-to-find hockey item, nationwide, and ensuring it arrived in time. The store also had someone drive to Flint and back on Christmas Eve to pick up a team order, so we would have the items in time for the holiday. The Bloomfield store has always helped me find whatever I need, without exception, and has been exceedingly pleasant in the process. Much gratitude from a loyal customer!
