Frank McHan: Bad experience, I wish I never did it. After surgery they made me go 6 months without glasses when I still needed them causing me a very hard time at work. I am currently looking for a new job. They tried convincing me I was 20/20 in one eye when I knew I wasn't . I now need trifocals when I barely needed bifocals before surgery. I also couldn't read one letter without glasses when I went to sec of state for drivers license renewal. After 7 months I still have dry eye.After 14 months I still have dry eye and wake up with red eyes. And still paying good money for glasses. My dry eye was so severe at one point I would literally wake up with my eyelids stuck to my eye balls.

Very patient and takes the time to make sure all your question have been answered before your surgery. Brittney was great, I did not read my paperwork till the day before and found out I had eye drops I had to take with me to my appointment the next morning @ 9:00 am. Meijer computer were down, and she had no issues calling in my script to another pharmacy for me. I seen Dr. Chad Maloney the most, and he is what honestly made it so easy for me. He was very personable and made me feel very comfortable discussing all my concerns and he is very honest with his answers, and defiantly knows what he is talking about, and he informs you of everything.Now let me tell you about my Lasik experience, as they do tend to sugar coat it a bit….Bring some tissue with you for the ride home, as your eyes fill with tears, and fall down your face, and you need something to catch all those tears. First, the surgery itself is not bad and last maybe 15 minutes tops; however they do put clamps on your eyes to hold your lids open, and those hurt! You do not go blind, you will see the Laser your flap, and then everything goes a little grey but there is an orange light you need to focus on, and I could always see it. You can defiantly feel the surgery, it is uncomfortable, but does not really hut…the clamps on my eye lids are what hurt. The Dr. then takes a sponge and folds the flap back & smooth’s it out, you can see this and there is a bit of pressure, then you are done. I could see good enough to see who my husband was in the waiting room.Taking a nap is not happening….your nose, eyes & head are all connected. My nose would not stop running and my eye would not stop filling with tears. I tried to lay down and take a nap, but then the numbing solution they put on my eyes started to wear off and my eyes started to burn. So every hour I had to open my eyes and let the tears fall, my nose would not stop running, and now I am getting a headache from the burning sensation I am feeling in my eyes. If you have ever smoked a cigarettes and got the smoke in your eyes…this is how my eyes felt, and my headache was getting worse.I left the Dr. office around 9:37 am….finally around 1:30 pm I took a ibuprofen 800, and I was finally able to sleep. I woke up at 5:37 pm and I know this because I could read my clock and I had no pain. My eyes were still very swollen from the clamps, I went and laid on the couch for about 2 hours, and went to bed for the rest of the night. When I woke up the next day I was completely fine, I did work around the house and even drove to the store.If you can make it through the first 4-5 hours, you are good to go. I would do it again in a heartbeat, 2 days after my surgery I had my follow-up appointment and was seeing 20/15. Honestly if you think about it, what is 4-5 hours to have 20/15 vision…..nothing! I would have donated the close to $2000 for upgraded Cataract lens to his pocketbook rather than have had him make my eye stigmatism worst than it was before my surgery.
