Michigan Department of Health and Human Services: what do users think?
Denise Gonzalez: Thus far, I haven’t had to deal with this new location, but I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews which scares me. I feel like just coming on here to make a negative review is not going to help. If you guys are having problems contact Lansing! Everybody tell them what’s going on and what you're experiencing. Contact the governor or her staffing. Contact who's in charge of these offices. Lots of things have changed since Covid and definitely not for the best. It is the hardest thing to get a hold of anybody and speak to someone. I wish everyone the best!
duck: They claim they have an appointment time they are going to call you. They pretend to call you and then they HANG UP acting like there was a disconnection then there is no way to instantly call them back they say you need to wait 3 weeks for an appointment.
Ruquayya Spriggs: Impossible to get anyone on the phone and the rare occasions that you do you will never ever speak to your actual case worker
The Sanders Family: Very rude and ignorant people work there!
MsMoua01: They never answer or return your call.
Moko Reece: I’m outdone at the way this office is ran. There is no way we should get treated like we do when we need help. My case worker called two weeks ago, asking why I have called her numerous time and said my benefits should not be cut off when they were! Then she stated she had to verify my paper work, called my job and clearly got her verification. That was very embarrassing considering my whole job knows that I’m seeking help. So you get your verification and you’re still questioning my supervisor, she confirms I’m working $ still no answer. Now two weeks have passed my benefits are still cut off, and she hasn’t returned my calls or the supervisor. It’s hard enough to seek help, but they make you feel worse. They’re acting like they pay out of pocket for us to receive assistance. Why accept the job if you don’t want to work and treat the clients horribly. I’ll be fine, and I know I’ll get the help I currently need, but I definitely will not let this go under the rug. Something has to be done about this office.
Msjawanda: They cut you off claiming they NEVER received your forms.REALLY 🤔I dropped it off personally
Michael Hader: I have called several times and gotten no live person and it's kind of ridiculous they can't even answer the phone even when it sends me somewhere and the phone rings again no one answers that either just another voice response This is ridiculous
P Morgan: This is by far the worst location of DHS I’ve ever came across . My worker Ms. Carden is the worst worker I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been waiting for 3 months for emergency food benefits , I’ve still gotten no benefits, no calls , no letters , no updates! I instead received a letter from her asking me “why do I keep applying she has time to work on my case “ mind you this was 90 days later and the limit is 30 days. You can not get through to anyone , not a supervisor nor the front desk and now you can’t even leave messages. They should be investigated and shut down , they do not care about the people at all. Especially Ms Carden she doesn’t even do her job.
Kristen Gielecki: My caseworker is great. I just can't get hold of her anymore. Their "new and improved" system is a malfunctioning dumpster fire that gives me (literally) a five-minute taped message before sending me to the menu options, which then tell me my ZIP Code doesn't exist and hangs up.
WinningCircle 42: The state of Michigan we need to come together and have this place closed down I bet the people working there wouldnt want to be treated how they treat others my case worker hasn’t answered in months and you can’t leave a voicemail box they feel like they are above others.
La Keyda A: No answer whenever you call. None of the numbers or worker.
The Love Fam: This place is a joke. They are not here to help those in need. I lost my job end of December. Applied for food on 12/30/22 for expedited processing since I have no income. FINALLY got a phone interview on 1/12/23 after given the run around for a week on interview times to be told by my case worker Mr. Rivard my application would be processed no later than 1/13/23. It’s now 1/19/23 I’ve called and emailed everyday, I’ve left messages for supervisor and Lansing and still nothing. I have 3 kids aged 13-8 months and I’ve been begging for help. When I went through this 5+ years ago it was not like this. I do not understand the state of MI needs an overhaul of this office!!
sb: January 19 2023...11am till 1130am I've been calling all morning and someone picks up the phone and lets it sit. I can hear someone talking then they finally hang up. I keep calling back its the same thing but someone is literally doing it on purpose. with all this back and forth you could have answered my question.
gabby boughner: Horrible to get in contact with my case workers voicemail has been fill for over a month now and no one answers the other phone numbers no one calls on my appointment date or time no one calls back
Kulsuma Dulon: The workers are not helpful at all. City should take action for those workers and Quality of the work.
Sam Ra: Time waste, energy waste 👎🏼 They never care, even for senior or disabled. This place reminds me of how things goes in Iraq and third world countries.
Jasmine Whittaker: When I tell you these workers are the absolute worst. I’ve called my worker plenty of times an she never answers the phone. It’s so unprofessional and disgusting. No help. And takes weeks to even reach out and respond.
Chris Nelson: This place is the worst every 6 months you have to do an interview that never happens and then if they do call its when most people are asleep even if they've been notified to not do so and they will shut off your assistance soon as they can every 6 months it's the same.
Soniqua Best: I have never ever in my life had a worker or dealt with workers like this before. I literally have to go up there just to talk someone. My worker is probably the worst. I’m begging for a new worker and they always say they can’t do anything. My food benefits was cut off for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Because she haven’t submitted a application that was turn in mid December. I need landing to step in and investigate asap. I will not let this go!!!!
Tom Distler: They scheduled a telephone appointment and never called. I left a voicemail same day with no return phone call. The next day I was sent a letter stating that I "missed" the appointment. Left another voicemail with no return phone call. Please do not work for the community, if you will not provide services for that community.

Saving Lives Center MI: what do users think?
Kenny Hooper: VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE TRAINING WAS INFORMATIVE AND SHE MADE IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND. DEFINITELY WORTH 5 STARS AND MORE
Jodi Rupert: Saving Lives Center was a gem for my 15-year-old daughter. She was able to take the babysitting basic course to obtain the training that she needed to provide proper care for “a parents most precious gift”- Their Children. She originally signed up for the Babysitting Course for High School Credit but once the course was over, she decided to start a small business with her Babysitting Skills (Young Entrepreneur here), and I couldn’t be more proud. Markeyda, the CEO of Saving Lives Center, is a consummate professional and very personable. I must say she has a lot of patience as well. She answered every question that we had while my daughter went through the course and offered so much support. She even coached my daughter and explained the benefits of Starting her Babysitting business. Because of her Resume and Certificate Many Parents Trust that their Child is in Great hands. My Daughter has been Booked and Busy ever since……EVEN DURING THE PANDEMIC- Can you get excited---No more coming to Mom for CASH Because she makes her OWN- YESSSSS. If you need to Certify or Take any of the courses offered- Saving Lives Center is Highly Recommended!
Esha Coleman: I had a great experience with Markeyda, she was very professional n pleasant. The training was fun n informational, I’ve been to a few over the years by me working in healthcare for over 15 years. She’s was the best hands down. As longs she’s in business, I’m using her service!!!!
