Birthing Center - Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital: what do users think?
Iohla Conway: Poked 5x preparing for C-section smh anesthesia experience terrible staff...uum soso... wasn't pleased with room left there sick smh bad cold after having a baby felt terrible for 3 long days at home smh...no response to letter written to hospital.
Lisa Belden: Inside the main hospital. I just went to use the ATM
Nathan Greer: Disgusting horrible bedside manor "with most not all" cleanliness was horrible I had to ask a nurse to pickup a dirty open needle on the floor it's crazy how nasty some of the hospitals really are .....
Jerrel Lewis: Horrible hospital. Went to emergency and the Dr was weird and creepy and diagnosed me with “Colitis” a viral infection and told me it was nothing they could do. A month later. Come to find out my gallbladder was shot. Had to go to a Henry Ford to find that out. Not to mention my weddings in 6 weeks and I had to have emergency surgery and Ascension sent me home with Tylenol. What a joke of a hospital! Stay away
Afjal Hussain: My cousin worked there for a few months, and the workers and manager were really unpleasant, and everyone did whatever they wanted. Manager wasn't a manager at all. He or she was basically telling others what to do and acting more like a friend than a manager. He or she also has own favorites. So, if you wish to work or be seen at this facility, I would advise against it. I strongly advise against it.
Angi Smith: Keep your loved ones far from here. They told my grandmother she was perfectly fine 2 days ago..she died today due to hospital neglect. They don't care about you here. Disturbingly careless staff and doctors. Run far away from them
Musleh Uddin: Simply the worst hospital ever. Never come here.
Yon Broda: Worst hospital ever, and I was born here! Everytime I go without fail they take 6 hours for the entire visit, I've sat next to a man that had his femur sticking out that was waiting for 15 minutes before I got in and he still didn't get to go in the back for another 15. Please if you value your life and it's an actual emergency don't go here, you'll die
Benjamin Lobur: Not very fast
Kathy Pallarito: This hospital and its medical staff killed my husband with their negligence, incompetence and carelessness. Voicing my concern to Margaret White in Patient Relations, she told me that my husband wasn't the only person to die of Covid, she has the compassion of a rattlesnake! Out of 5 stars, this hospital rates a 1.8, my dog's veterinarian has a rating of 4.5! This hospital has had a bad reputation for patient care going back to when it was known as South Macomb.
Simon: Dr Fishman is the man.
Katie Wallace: WORST EMERGENCY ROOM EVER. Waited over 4 hours until I finally threw in the towel and left. Many others had been waiting much longer and just as angry. My whole right side of my stomach is inflamed and sore to the touch. Guess I’ll have to take my chances because there’s absolutely no chance in receiving help at this hospital . Never never again.
sarkar sayem: I wish I could give -10 if possible. Worst hospital system ever. Their behavior is very unprofessional and they no transparency at all. If you want your relatives to die, bring them here.
Harun Ali: My dad admitted for stomick pain and they waching him four days, there is no change about my dad health and getting worse his pain . After that I dicided to change hospital and move to Troy Beaumont . Sorry to say that please avoid this hospital and 00000 star for there service .one of the worse hospital in MI ...
George Matus: I highly recommend staying away from this hospital. They charge 10x what they should for items and refuse to work with you at all financially. They also force their religious views on you with morning prayers over the speakers, parking spots for clergy instead of pregnant women, and limit what doctors associated with the hospital can do for patients. Many doctors here are rude and condescending to their co-workers and patients.
andrea kenealy: I gave birth July 8 2020 to a beautiful perfect baby girl. I had gone in because of preclampsia. It was the most terrifying experience HOWEVER the staff was AMAZING. More than amazing really. All the nurses and doctors- Papple, Barcardi, Kassab, Tumaneng, and all the nurses. Edie the nurse was the one who helped during my crazy labor- I had a team- but she let me squeeze her hand. I can’t say enough amazing things. I love all of you and am extremely grateful.
Bobby McCarthy: Awful "hospital". Medical care is lacking, actual doctors aren't here, they ordered a CT scan, after over 3 hours of waiting, we're about to leave. Tomorrow, we're going to Henry Ford. Never again will we come to this place.
dorothy shader: Cameron, ER resident was the nicest, most caring person when my sister was in the ER.Will make a wonderful doctor. St. John Macomb has the nicest, caring staff of doctors, nurses, staff, and although they're under a lot of pressure, positive and your not just a patient to them like many hospitals. Your a person first. During one of the most difficul times of my life this past week with my sisters diagnosis, she has nothing but good things to say about the staff. Me too, thank you St. John Macomb!! This isn't the birthing center ER, don't know how it got listed here. Regular ER
Cesar Torres: Great nurses and doctors. Thanks for helping me
Humayun Rashid: The nurse name 'Kelsey' is just a great nurse and a good human being! My brother Hassan Rashid hospitalized due to bad epilepsy seizure. He has mental disability but the Nurse kelsey gave a great care to him. She tried to understand my brother's immature and disabled behavior by talking with me so that she could get him and give him a good care. She communicated with family and try to gather information about his behavior so that she could give him proper care. She was very conscious about the feeding of my brother because my mentally disabled are not able to communicate and he has language barrier too. Kelsey tried to feed him on proper time, game him extraordinary care. I am so grateful to get her as my brothers nurse for two day time shifts. She is just awesome! Kelsey, thank you for everything you did!
Ron A: Went to er talked to a doctor for a total of 30 seconds. They gave me wrong diagnosis and charged me over 5 grand to just tell me to see a urologist

It's Your Birth Midwifery Services, LLC - Jenny Zaner, LM, CPM: what do users think?
Ana E: I switched from my OB/GYN office to Jenny around the time I hit 3rd trimester, and it was the best decision I could have made for myself and my baby! The amount of personal attention and care Jenny gives is amazing, and I went from feeling overwhelmed and pressured by my previous care providers to calm and empowered with Jenny. She took the time to thoroughly discuss every question and concern I had, not just at the initial appointment but every single time I saw her. She always made time to give me her full attention and never rushed me. She took the time to thoroughly discuss the evidence and pros/cons of various tests and options, so that I could make truly informed decisions. I felt empowered to make the right decisions for myself and my baby without pressure. It's hard for me to really trust care providers, but Jenny is someone I can trust implicitly. At my labor she was calm, reassuring, and when I got to the point where I felt I had no clue what I was doing, her calm, reassuring guidance was exactly what I needed!
Carly Jakstys: My experience with Jenny throughout my whole pregnancy, delivery and postpartum was excellent. Jenny is compassionate, knowledgeable, and provides informed consent with each medical decision. I felt totally comfortable having a homebirth with her and would choose her services again in a heartbeat!
Chenelle Larsh: Jenny is amazing! I transferred to her care at 20 weeks and it was the best decision I made! Jenny showed me what true informed consent looks like. Even during the newborn exam she talked to my son about everything she was going to do prior to doing it. She is very knowledgeable and presents all the information in an unbiased way. My home birth experience was better than I ever could have imagined. It was a true family experience and Jenny gave me the space to birth in a way that felt instinctual. I felt very supported during pregnancy, labor & delivery, and postpartum. If I get pregnant again I will without a doubt have Jenny as my midwife!
Abby S: Jenny is the best of the best! This was my 4th baby, but 1st home birth and first time with Jenny and she was more thorough than any provider I’ve had in the past. She is extremely caring, knowledgeable and highly skilled in her field. She was so helpful at empowering my husband and I to make choices that best fit our family. I’m so thankful for her care. I had the best birthing experience and she and her team were phenomenal in how they supported and cared for my whole family. I cannot recommend Jenny enough!
Emily Candela: We loved Jenny! She made our first home birth a wonderful experience. We were always very confident in her knowledge and skills.
Lauren Marie: If I could give Jenny 10 stars I would. We met Jenny at a home birth and I said to myself, if I ever have a baby I need this woman on my team. A few months later we hired her and it was the best decision we made. She cares about your overall well being, your nutrition, you mental health and keeping you a top priority. She is extremely professional, however I felt as though I was speaking to a friend during our appointments. She never judged me when I asked ridiculous questions and the actual birth went as planned because of her expertise. My birth wasn’t seamless, there were definitely some obstacles and I never once felt at risk or afraid because I knew Jenny would do what’s best for me and the baby. I highly recommend Jenny as a midwife to anyone considering homebirth or birthing at a birthing center.
Karla Sanchez: I have so much gratitude for Jenny and the rest of my birth team. I am so happy I went with my gut in having Jenny as our midwife. I felt so understood, cared for, supported and validated. This is what I needed during pregnancy and especially labor. Jenny's confidence transmitted to us and her professionalism is astounding. Prior to Jenny, I had not met a provider in my life who actually understood the woman's body and who was up to date on research from quality foods during pregnancy, labs, protocols and much more. I looked forward to going to my prenatal visits every time. Our visits never felt rushed. They were never 15 minutes like in the medical model. It felt personalized and welcoming.Jenny's intuition was right every time she needed to rule out some things. For me, having a homebirth was really important though I understood that a transfer could happen. I had some symptoms that needed to be ruled out for concerns and Jenny encouraged me to have a hospital consult to be safe before I went into labor. Thankfully everything was fine and I just had to monitor in case there were any changes. Her call on having the consult was a great idea because I actually had to go to the hospital after I had my homebirth for a third degree tear that was non-emergent but out of her scope. Thanks to the prior consult, I felt confident in going back to the hospital and knew where to go. It was not stressful because they had my information on file and they did not make me wait long. Jenny took care of calling the hospital for a heads up and they were expecting me.Jenny was so calm and patient during my labor. She respected our wishes and the golden hour with baby. As a first time mom, I am so grateful beyond words could ever explain. I had a wonderful experience even when everything did not go as I would have wanted it but nothing ever does. It is important to come in with an open mind and know that maybe the birth pool will not even be touched. Labor is unpredictable but having Jenny and my births team support gave me the strength I needed as a woman. The environment felt empowering.I feel that I can go on and on. I want to lastly mention that our postpartum visits were also amazing and needed during an intense hard transition after having a baby. We had more postpartum visits than what the medical model normally does. Jenny gave us a lot of resources to support us during postpartum. Without a doubt, I would choose Jenny all over again if I were to have another baby.
Linsey Renee: Jenny is a wonderful midwife! She’s there for you through it all and knows what to do for you in labor to get you to where you need to be to deliver!! She’s an asset; caring, supportive and informative to give you power in knowing to make your own decisions throughout your pregnancy.. She’s truly a gem for expectant families and you truly couldn’t ask for a better midwife!!
Saskia Schreiber: We had the most amazing experience in January with Jenny and her awesome Team. We welcomed our fourth baby into our family. Jenny and her team are like family, helping you whenever you need it, leaving you alone whenever you want it and all that while letting you being in control about your birth. We never felt anxious about anything, it was just a smooth amazing time. Everything was well organized and everybody knew what they had to do, no hectic or loud voices. It was just the most amazing birth I had after three natural hospital birth. They changed our lives for the good and especially the life of our little girl. The bonding with her three siblings is deep and pure. If I ever get pregnant again I know who to call! Thank you for everything Jenny!
Brittany Shanahan: This was our first pregnancy and prior to getting pregnant my husband and I talked extensively about home birth- being in the comfort of our home with the people we love and building a team that cares for us. We were so blessed to find Jenny (thank you instagram). She was our safe place, she listened to all of our questions, let us make every decision, gave options and education material, informed consent, and when it came to the birth of our daughter, her and Paige were nothing short of amazing! Our sweet baby girl was born on her due date! I felt comfortable, confident and empowered. My husband and I were able to labor exactly how we wanted, Jenny and Paige gave us space to let my body work and when I needed a little help Jenny was there with suggestions for new positions or the peanut ball (taking me from 5cm to 10cm in 45 minutes).. when it came to pushing I wasn’t coached, I wasn’t told to wait, I wasn’t told “not yet”. Jenny supported me in every capacity again letting my body do the work. Just as it was designed by God to do. After Eisley was born we had our magical golden hour right in bed, Delayed cord clamping, Brendan had skin to skin while our bath was prepared and Eisley and I got to bond even further in the herbal bath. Jenny helped with breast feeding/latching and different positions. Our room was cleaned all while we were soaking up newborn snuggles in bed.We felt supported, loved, cheered for, encouraged and just so thankful that God put Jenny in our lives. We can’t thank her and her team enough and can’t wait for the next time we get to have Jenny as our midwife.
Kelly Christiansen: Jenny and the birthing team from It’s your Birth Midwifery are truly amazing! Jenny is a very knowledgeable and caring provider that helps guide you and your partner through the most exciting and nerve racking time in your life. She is there to answer any and all questions. She provides individualized care. She is unique compared to the medical model. You are not just a number to Jenny. She takes her time to ensure you are confident every time you leave a visit. She will answer any question you have between visits as well. She takes the most natural approach for growing and birthing a baby. She helps bring the back the idea of growing, birthing and raising a child in the traditional and natural way that our mind, bodies, and spirits were made to do. My family was very fearful of my home birth. During labor a team of professional women came to my home with all the necessary medical equipment to help deliver my beautiful, healthy baby. The birthing team takes ever step very seriously with proper sterilization techniques, detailed charting, and constant communication with each other and my partner and I. The team is prepared for emergencies as well. I had the utmost trust that Jenny and the team would take care of us if things did not go as planned. After my natural birth, my family was in awe of how beautiful and peaceful the birth of my child was. My mom, who was the most fearful, said, “it was amazing, it felt like this was how birth was meant to happen. A community of women working together to help bring a beautiful child into this world. It was truly magical!” I used to work in the medical field. I learned that a vaginal hospital birth’s starting cost is $30,000. Now some people’s insurance will cover most of that, but that price does not include prenatal and postnatal care. Jenny’s price includes all your prenatal, birth, and 6 postnatal care visits. Your insurance should cover any tests that need to be done. She will even help get your insurance to approve a breast pump. Every women who has had a hospital birth has told me that the earliest they see their provider after birth is 6 weeks. By 6 weeks postpartum, I had seen Jenny 6 times with my newborn getting checked on as well. I’ve also been told by many women that they felt pressured into many interventions that they did not want and most were pressured into inductions way before they needed to be induced. Jenny does not do that. She lets your body do what it is supposed to do and only intervenes if 100% necessary. She also ensures that every time she is going to do something she gets consent. She ensures you feel comfortable with every touch and test, rather than just doing it. Continual consent can be very crucial to those that have had some trauma in life. Jenny is with you every step of the way to ensure you feel safe, confident, and informed about your birth. I’m excited to have my next baby just so I can work with Jenny again. I truly felt like I had a friend in my corner fighting for me to have the birth that I wanted. I promise you will not be on the fence about a home birth after your first visit with Jenny!
courtney willenberg: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jenny and the services she provides. From the moment you become her client you feel genuinely cared for, seen, heard, and safe and that’s simply, because you are. Your appointments are tailored to you, as is your prenatal care because pregnancy is not one size fits all and Jenny recognizes and respects this. There is no topic that is off limits and there is no such thing as a dumb question. The decisions you make while under Jenny’s care will be made in full confidence as informed consent is one of her top priorities. She offers a higher than top notch service and she truly is invaluable. Jenny is as professional as she is personable and truly makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. She becomes part of your family in a very short period of time and it is truly hard to say either, “see you next time!” or “goodbye” to her at the end of it. Should I have another child, there is no other way for me to birth other than at home with Jenny and her team.It was an amazing experience all the way around. You won’t be disappointed in your decision!
Becky: It's easy to see how passionate and devoted Jenny is to what she does. She gives you the information you need to make the decision that is right for you and your family, without trying to scare you into doing one thing or another. She is great with the babies, even asking their permission and telling them everything she's doing for them.Amy and Paige (the backup midwives) were so sweet, thoughtful and helpful. They all have such a comforting presence.Choosing the homebirth path with Its Your Birth was the best choice i could have made for my family. I don't think my birth would have gone as smoothly as it did without Jenny and her team supporting me. She knew exactly what to do at every stage. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Jenny is amazing and we are so grateful we chose to homebirth.
Emily Andary: Having Jenny as our midwife was the absolute best decision we made. From the first time we met her, she made my husband and I feel listened to and cared for. She answered any and all questions we had. Her knowledge, experience, resources, and professionalism allowed us to feel confident in making informed decisions for our birth/baby. During my labor, her calming and peaceful presence was amazing. Having her care for me and my son postpartum was so comforting also. There are only positive things to say about Jenny. My home birth experience was such a dream come true and I hope more women get to experience it. We can’t wait to work with Jenny again in the future!
Kelsey Krumrey: Over half way through my pregnancy I started to question my original birth plan to deliver in a hospital after my provider seemed less than receptive to questions I had. A quick Google search and the practice’s name, It’s Your Birth, resonated with what I felt was previously lacking in my care, my ability to have choice. After meeting with Jenny for a consult I realized just how much I had been missing! Her knowledge, calming presence, and her practice of true informed consent was everything I didn’t even know I could have.Prenatal appointments were just as much informative as supportive, never rushed. Birth unfolded as naturally as possible and even with an unexpected transfer postpartum I felt informed and in control. And for postpartum care, I truly cannot imagine not having the early in-home visits! As a first time mom it was incredibly reassuring to know I had an appointment with Jenny just around the corner through those first six weeks for all those little questions that Google just seems to add confusion to.I feel so lucky to have had the experience I did as a first time mom and Jenny was a huge part in that!
Brianna Wright: Jenny is an amazing midwife! The entire pregnancy I felt listened to, cared for, and like I really mattered. This kind of care is hard to find and not to be treated as a number. During my labor and delivery she was such a peaceful presence and did not rush any moments. The postpartum care is incomparable to a hospital birth, as I have had. I felt like royalty and was treated with so much love and respect. I would recommend Jenny to anyone! Giving birth at home is an amazing experience I pray many more moms would be able to experience.
Melissa McMacken: Jenny Zaner from It's Your Birth Midwifery Services, is just simply amazing. She was by far the best provider I've ever had. Jenny actually cares about you and your baby and goes above and beyond for you both. During the homebirth of my baby girl Jenny and her team were amazing! I had the homebirth of my dreams and felt so supported throughout my entire pregnancy and birth. I am forever grateful to have had this experience and will definitely use Jenny's services again if/when I have another child. ❤
Brittany Cali: From the moment we met Jenny we knew she was the Midwife for us. She is professional, organized, full of knowledge, and just a great person to talk to. When you hire Jenny as your Midwife you will never feel rushed through your appointments. You will leave feeling informed, confident, and heard. She provides you with up-to-date evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions every step of the way. It is something incredibly special to have a care provider who genuinely cares about not just your physical health but your mental health as well. I highly recommend Jenny and will be forever grateful to have had her as my midwife.
Nile Tigress: From our first conversation, Jenny was amazing. She made me feel young and informed. She was super helpful and encouraging. I have never felt so empowered until I met her. She made my first home water birth with baby #4 an amazing experience. We love you Jenny Zaner!!! Always!!!!💕😘
francesca saracino: If you haven't chosen Jenny as your midwife already you need to -- NOW! Before I even got pregnant I was always very in to the idea of a home birth. Throw in a pandemic and it was a no brainer. As soon as we found out we were pregnant I was in talks with a different midwife (not Jenny) I had met about doing a home birth. Shortly after talking with her we had to change our direction. And I was left, at almost 15 weeks pregnant, without yet even hearing a heart beat. I was referred to It's Your Birth Midwifery and had an in person meeting with Jenny. Her attitude was so refreshing -- especially given the state of the world at the time. She was kind, informative and really listened to our wants for our birth. I immediately called my husband and told him THIS is our midwife. Fun fact: Jenny trained under the midwife that delivered my husband almost 34 years ago! All of my appointments with Jenny were in office, which was great! It allowed me to focus on me and my baby. Every time I met with her she would provide me resources and additional information on topics to help make the best decision for our family. Informed consent is a HUGE thing of mine and Jenny is the best at giving you all of the tools necessary to make your decision and offers an unbiased opinion. She was always there when I needed her even for a silly little first time mom worry. Flash forward to "labor day" and Jenny and her team helped make our home birth dreams come true! She knew what we wanted and did everything in her power to make it happen. It was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. But with the love and support of Jenny and her team (doula's Paige and Kelly and midwife assist Heather) I knew I was ready to do it all over again, and I will! Jenny is an incredible person and if you value informed consent, medical freedom, love and support I HIGLY recommend It's Your Birth Midwifery!
Chelsea Ahearn: From our first meeting with Jenny, we were truly impressed with her knowledge and comforting personality. I have never had a medical professional that was so passionate and knowledgeable about pregnancy/birth. My appointments were all about an hour long with detailed discussion about what was going on and future decisions that had to be made. She made sure we were informed and comfortable with all of our choices from testing to our birth plan. (As someone with some health anxiety I was amazed at how at peace I was with everything.) When it came time for birth she was the perfect amount of supportive but gave my husband and I space to let the birth unfold. I will forever be grateful that she helped bring our little man earth side in our home exactly the way I had always envisioned. If another baby is in our plans, she will be one of the first people we contact!

Kyra Fair: I hope someone Reads this review, my first birth experience ruined I went to this hospital received not so good service. I went in to have my child due to preeclampsia complications. It wasn’t the greatest service from the doctors but at least they came to talk to me and apologize for the terrible service and experience my husband and I received. what really made it worse was they lost my wedding ring and a bracelet! I have yet to really receive an answer on where my items are, but I’ve gotten multiple stories on which Nurse miss placed it. I’m hoping that they make it right but I have yet to receive any compensation or answers.
Joeyy White: If You care about your loved one's health Stay away from this clinic and any other hutzel's clinics

Channel Ozias: The medical team is WONDERFUL. I had some issues with some of the front desk staff not being friendly & incorrect appointment dates & times. I spoke to the office manager about it just to promote process improvement and then the next week the appointment we had made was at the wrong location.
Niva Dangol Shrestha: Staffs are rude. They charge you for getting your own medical records per page that was sent electronically to my new provider. :/
Jamie: I have been a patient for 5 to 6 years here. I am very happy and satisfied with the care I receive. I feel as though my safety and over all care is number one to the doctors and staff. I am always in the loop about what is going on and what my options are. I recommend Hutzel Women's Health Specialists to anyone looking for this type of care.

Bradley Method & Breastfeeding with Bridgette: what do users think?
Briana Ramirez: Bridgette’s class was absolutely wonderful. She is so knowledgeable, answers all your questions, and the class was very engaging. This class really helped us to feel prepared and we highly recommend taking it!
Megan Crawford: I really believe Bridgette's Bradley Method birth class made all the difference for my labor and birth experience! She is an incredible and competent teacher and you can tell she enjoys what she does. Bridgette was always open to questions and offering support outside of class hours. This class gave my husband and I the tools and knowledge to have a natural labor and birth at home. Not only was this class helpful for labor and birth, but it was so informational regarding pregnancy, postpartum, and newborn days. We also used Bridgettes lactation consultation services which immensely helped our breastfeeding journey. I would 1000% recommend (and have done so) that every expecting couple take this class!
Sammi Pretznow: I had no idea how much I didn’t know. The class was so informative and encouraging. I couldn’t recommend taking her class more.
Hailey Monroe: Absolutely changed our lives as first time parents taking Bridgette's class! She is SO knowledgable and is happy to provide studies & extra info. We felt like we learned everything necessary and beyond. Highly recommend!
Cristian Tatu: I just want to say that, before this classes I never thought that as a future father i can learn and be educated so much. Bridgette is the most amazing teacher. If you really care about your baby, being a good parent, be educated, and being confident before birth, take the classes. You will appreciate it all your life.
Christine Mick: The Bradley birth classes Bridgette taught helped me prepare for the non-medicated vaginal birth that I was hoping for! Her class was extremely informative, it included all styles of learning and was very engaging, it was easy to remember everything that we learned even though we covered a lot. Bridgette is very knowledgeable and can answer all of your questions with confidence. She was easy to work with as far as scheduling and always easy to get a hold of. I took this class wanting to be prepared because I was originally planning on having a home birth, but in the very end of my pregnancy my blood platelets dropped too low and I had to start planning a hospital birth. Bridgette helped me with my birth plan. Because of this class, I felt very informed about all of my options and all of my rights as a patient. I also felt very comfortable and at ease that my significant other was well informed and could fully advocate for me when I was in the throes of labor, even though he didn’t know too much about birth other than the basics when we started. It teaches all about how your husband/partner/coach can play an active role in helping you through labor from massage and positioning to understanding the phases of labor and how to encourage you through them. We also covered quite a bit about breastfeeding. Even in the hospital I was able to have a completely non-medicated natural birth and start our breastfeeding journey out strong with an easy recovery for everyone. All in all, this class was invaluable and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it.
Kelsey girardot: Bridgette is wonderful! Even though the class is a major time commitment, we absolutely loved it. We learned so much and feel prepared for our upcoming birth. Bridgette made class engaging and is so knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed our time in these classes and recommend them to everyone looking into reclaiming their power and striving to experience a physiological birth.
Hannah Dewar: My husband and I are so thankful for Bridgette’s class! We consider ourselves to be naturally-minded people when it comes to the health of our family, but we didn’t realize how much there is to learn about natural childbirth. This class answered many questions, about healthy pregnancy, labor and delivery, the postpartum experience, breastfeeding, and how to set up our baby for life-long health. This class also helped ease fears and concerns around birth, and has overall helped us to feel empowered about our birth. Bridgette is an excellent instructor, open to any and all questions, and makes labor and delivery something to look forward to instead of something that is often viewed with dread. I truly cannot imagine not having this information as we approach the birth of our baby!
Haley Sturza: Bridgette and her class are amazing! This is such a great informative and supportive place to learn. It really helped us prepare for our natural birth to come!
Melinda Hufstetler: Bridgette is an amazing Bradley teacher! My husband and I learned so much for our upcoming birth. You’d think we’d already know a bunch from already being a first time parent but absolutely not! We are so much more prepared for this birth than our last one thanks to Bridgette!
Dan Patton: Extremely worthwhile class! We knew very little going in about pregnancy and the birthing process, and we leave every class session feeling so much more prepared and empowered for this experience. Bridgette is an excellent instructor and makes the class sessions fun and interactive. It has absolutely been worth our time and money to make the trip from Port Huron to Center Line each week. 100% would recommend!
Heather Copeland: Bridgette is extremely professional and easy to communicate with! I originally was referred to Brigette by my midwife and took her breast feeding class. As a first time mom, the class was so helpful in setting the foundation for the breast feeding journey I was planning for my son! Once he was finally here, I was struggling with his latch. I did not hesitate to reach out to Bridgette and had her come to the house for a consultation. This consultation gave me such a sense of relief and Bridgette was able to show me hands-on the concepts she taught in her class. I am so thankful to have her as a resource during this time and would highly recommend her services to anyone wanting to learn more about breast feeding!!
Daniel Comboni: Bridgette was an amazing instructor. My wife and I were expecting our first baby and had no idea what delivery and breastfeeding looked like. It involves much more than most people think. This class was a pathway that God provided for us to prepare for such an intense and wonderful event. I would highly recommend this class to all new parents!
Luke Holmes: Thanks to the Bradley Birthing Method and Bridgette's excellent instruction, my wife and I were able to have our first baby completely naturally and unmedicated at the Alternative Birthing Center in Southfield! If you're a couple that is considering natural childbirth and wants to feel prepared going into it, this course is ABSOLUTELY worth your time and money. As a husband with no prior experience or knowledge related to pregnancy/birth, this 12-week course equipped me with loads of knowledge and allowed me to be a great coach for my wife during labor. Not to mention, Bridgette is also a certified Lactation Consultant and has been an awesome resource to my wife who is navigating breastfeeding our newborn.
Jennifer Briske: I can’t recommend this class enough for expecting parents! Very informative and balanced. You of course will learn how to achieve a natural birth, but it will also help prepare you for all situations. Bridgette is an amazing and supportive instructor. Even weeks after the class she answers questions quickly and supports parents.
Michele Oberholtzer: My husband and I planned a home birth so we enrolled in this class to make sure we had extra education to prepare us for the additional responsibilities we were taking on. When instead we ended up in the hospital and an emergency c section, we found ourselves using what wed learned OVER and OVER again to navigate this unexpected and rather dramatic turn of events. Bridgette is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. It's a lot of time but you will learn so much and you need all the gel you can get if you want a natural birth in the current era!
Alexandra Christenson: Bridgette's breastfeeding basics class was incredibly informative. It's a must for any mom planning on breastfeeding.
Jennifer Brown: Bridgette is awesome! She is friendly and knowledgeable. Her class helped us prepare for the births of both of our babies. She also assisted us with lactation support with baby #1. And she has been supportive and encouraging through the years anytime I message her with a question for myself or even a friend. Highly recommend!!
Katie Koch: If it weren’t for the Bradley classes my husband and I took with Bridgette, I never would have had the birth I wanted at home. I was originally planning a hospital birth with an OB but as I went through the classes, I realized there was so much I didn’t know. Once I learned about all my birth options, I realized that a home birth would be better and I made the switch in the middle of my pregnancy. Not only did Bridgette do an amazing job of teaching my husband and I about our options and rights, she directed me to an amazing midwife who took care of me and my baby the rest of my pregnancy and postpartum. She has also been a great resource and help with breastfeeding!
Nicole Elliott: We took Bridgettes birthing class and I firmly believe she is the reason we were able to have the home birth we desired! She is so knowledgeable and continues to support you after the class! Anytime I have a question or concern she is always there to help. Highly recommend!!
Jennifer Papuga: My husband and I are due with our first baby any time now. We took Bridgette's Bradley classes and feel like they have been extremely informative and helped us prepare for this upcoming labor and dilivery. My husband and I enjoyed being in person and hands on. Over the 12 weeks, we feel these classes helped give us tools to mentally and physically prepare for labor and dilivery. These classes have helped my husband and I also understand on a deeper level what we are going through and the changed and what to expect as pregnancy and labor and dilivery progress. He is excited to be an active part in the birth of our baby and I feel these classes have helped give him this confidence and deeper understanding to coach and be there for me. Bridgette has many years of knowledge and it shows in many ways with her evidence based answers and throughout explanation of concepts. We really enjoyed her upbeat energetic personality and her prepared laid out easy to understand and follow instructions each class. We highly recommend these classes for anyone who is expecting. Hospital or home birth. If you are looking for ways to successfully have a more natural centerd birth or even lactation support.. if you are pregnant this is a great investment. We were even given the Inshurance coads and the courses we either fully or partially covered by inshurance. If your searching for a child birth educator, you really have stumbled on one of the best. I've been in birth work for quite a long time and can say from a professional and personal experience Bridgette is truly helping many families and I highly recommend her.
