Wawel Royal Castle Polish Bar & Restaurant: what do users think?
Marilyn Falcon: We really enjoyed the pierogi, stuffed cabbage, and the potato pancakes! Delicious! Service was excellent! What a great place to eat with family and friends!Vegetarian options: Lots of varieties of their pierogi are vegetarian. Plus, potato pancakes and the restaurant's crepes are all vegetarian, too. Please note that the stuffed mushrooms do contain Polish ham.
Samantha Rager: Absolutely wonderful! The portions are large, but they don't sacrifice flavor. Everything was delicious and the team members were so warm and welcoming. My husband and I split the Polish Feast, and enough for a couple nights of leftovers. We'll definitely be back!Parking: Ample parkingWheelchair accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible, no stairs.

chris murray: Pasties were great. Best part we arrived at 6:01 because google says open til 7 only to find a closed sign. Owner was still there and waved us in. Heated up our food and chatted about the UP while we ate. We'll be back eaier because he has something we really want to try.
Tony McCrary: Tasty pasties. They're slightly different than what I'm used to, the dough is a little pierogish and shaped differently. But it was delicious, I'll definitely be back.

Andrea: I was so excited to try this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. I visited the restaurant over the weekend. Upon entering, I noticed multiple tables open. There was a sign that stated you should wait to be seated, so we stood there, and kept standing . It was 10 minutes and nobody even acknowledged us (party of two). I wish we left at that point but sat at the bar area in hopes of getting served. Unfortunately we sat at the bar, which felt like an eternity, even another customer seated near me commented that we would never be served. Finally, a waitress came by and took our order. However, each aspect of the meal took forever (getting water, food, etc).I really wish we left when we weren't seated. (It wasn't just us, I noticed this issue with other customers standing forever, with multiple empty tables). The food tasted like reheated frozen food. The sausage had a weird taste and I had to spit it out after one bite. I'm not sure what was wrong with it or if that's how they cook it? The saurkraut was extremely soggy and it seemed to have a large amount of oil in it. The cabbage roll wasn't hot, it was lule warm and tasted like Stauffer's frozen cabbage roll.I really wanted to like this place but can't. The food and service were disappointing. I guess I can say that the mural and decorations were nice. The restaurant at least appeared to be clean. The only positive I can give us that the pickle soup was good and it was hot as it should be (not luke warm like my other food). Maybe I was here on a bad night, I'm not sure?
Tazzman 225: They went Irish. Loved their corned beef and cabbage. Pam is one great waitress.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Stuffed Cabbage, Cabbage Soup, City Chicken, Combo Plate, Duck Soup, Dill Pickle Soup and Cucumber Salad, Sweet Cheese Pierogies, Potato Noodles, Chicken Noodle Soup, Beef Goulash, Polish Combination Plate, Hungarian Potato Pancake, Hungarian Pancakes …More
Tom D'Antonio: All the food was luke warm at best.Definitely , not cooked hot per order more like reheated buffet style food. And polish sausage was gross and cold. Everyone in are party agreed. We ante none of it after we tasted it.Potato pancakes Luke warm and not crispy . More like a horrible breakfast hash brown. Pierogi was ok but cold could see cook marks on them but could tell it was a reheat .It was obvious because how fast the food came out.Service polite but not on point.Stood waiting to be seated for 15 minutes with many open tables while we stared at a sign that said wait to be seated. So we all sat at the bar. Big regret I was taking out friends for dinner and was sad that under the eagle is no longer open. So it was are first time here.We just left money on the table when our server never came back to collect. (Minus a tip)Maybe it was an off day for them but unacceptable.Dill soup was great best I can say
Josh Wilson: Best Polish food I've had in a long time, up there for best ever. Friendly staff was helpful with suggestions, everything was great.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Polish Combination Plate …More

Artist Lynn: Food was wonderful!Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Jaime A.: Recommend! Food was good and flavorful, good selection of items and combinations to sample different dishes. Big open space in dining room with plenty seats available, although establishment filled up quick service is quick and seating as well. Friendly and attentive service. Parking available on lot next to building or along road (all paid parking).

The perogis are to die for, as well as the potato pancakes, saurkraut, and just about anything else on the menu (: HIGHLY recommend, especially for my peers that appreciate the Polish culture!

Candice Mary: We went here recently and I can't say enough good things about it! The food was delicious, our server was kind and was knowledgable about the menu, as I wasn't familiar with everything, and the violin players gave the restaurant such a nice atmosphere. And, our food came out quickly and it was so good! We will definitely be back!

Polka Restaurant & Beer Cafe: what do users think?
Janice Barry: Went to the store because restaurant is closed. Great stop to get Polish food and specialties. Love this place
michael novak: Best wait staff I've seen in 60 years of eating in restaurants, this kid alyssa could teach the trade. Closed down due to COVID! Will be missedGood food as well totally Polish. Will definately return.Dobry Wait times are long, they encourage reservations, probably one of the most costly if not the most costly restaurant in the greater Detroit suburban area.Decent wheelchair accessibility but far from the best. Seating is cramped and tight, chairs are small and table area also small,The menu items are portion controlled, the portions are considered “average” but if you’re really hungry and want portions like you’d get at home be prepared to order double (and pay double)A group of 5 to 10 will set you back from $350 to $1000. Depending on drinks appetizers tips etcNot a cheap place but one of the few where you can actually get Polish food “americanized “ but close to correct.Too bad the place is closed downAnother casualty of the COVID scare
Joe Abraham: Beautiful place! The pierogies were outstanding.
Matthew Wint: Wow wow wow wow wow.Last night my girlfriend and I were discussing what we should have for dinner. She says to me "I want to try that Polish place in Troy!", which I said "Oh, yeah! Polish Market is great", thinking we were going grocery shopping for a nice home cooked meal. As we arrived and I tried parking in the Markets side of the lot, she informed me she was referring to this place called "Polka" across the way. I didn't even know this place opened. Last time I visited this plaza, that building was unoccupied.Well, I am glad she suggested this! The place upon initial impression was surprisingly nice. A lot of murals, a very beautiful bar, and nice and comfortable seating. As we were going through the menu we realized that this place is very fair on pricing (Average $12-15 person, some entrees can be a little more expensive).I ordered the polish combo which consisted of a stuffed cabbage, kielbasa link, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and 3 pierogis (choice of flavor was potato cheddar). Everything on that plate was great. Bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. While it took a little while to come out after ordering, you could tell it's because they care about the quality of the food they send out.The service is really great as well. The servers wear Polish outfits and are super friendly. To my surprise, our server actually spoke Polish fluently! While I had no idea what she was saying, it was cool to listen to her take another tables order.Definitely come here if you're into authentic Polish food and don't want to make the drive all the way to Hamtramck.
Justin Goodell: It's just ok. All frozen food, not made onsite. Golabki was still slightly frozen inside. City chicken was meh. Mashed potatoes were cold... Very cold.
Chris M: Great friendly atmosphere, great authentic Polish ethnic atmosphere with wall murals, curtains, dinner ware and more. Food is good price, great taste, well made, Polish potato pancakes are my favorite as they are tasty not greasy the way they should be. The soups mushroom and pickle I've had are delicious. Just wish they offered both types of kraut, I like sour kraut and they serve a sweet kraut, it's good I just prefer sour over sweet. I'm glad the restaurant is here also they have a banquet area and next door is the Polish Market so you can shop there and have your meal at the restaurant, a win-win great planning to have it all in one place.
Józef Ledziński (Dn.): Very good local
Pete Koski: Very inviting place. The service was friendly and the food was excellent! Dill Pickle Soup, Kielbasa, Sauerkraut and Pierogies
Lisa Tyburski: Both times there my food was very salty. Mashed potatoes taste watery. Not a fan. Bread was good.
Robert Kurowski: Great food very clean and the waitresses are great nothing not to like about it
Tracy Follis: Best Polish food ever! Sorry Grandma!👍😀
chozen1956: Average food and service. Some dishes were cold and had to be reheated.
Kellie Beach: Excellent food
Jeffrey Luokkala: Good eats
Julie Smith: We drive from toledo Ohio and were there at noon on a sunday and got right in! The waitress was amazing, the food was amazing and it came in a quick manner!! The restaurant was super clean also!!! We would highly recommend this place for great polish food!!!
Mary Pergeau: Great polish food. Lots of choices. Polish atmosphere. Very good serving staff. Make a reservation, often people standing in line.
