Anita Prasky: I discovered Pondering Waters some years ago when he repaired a leak in my pond. Thereafter I used him to open and close the pond and to take care of any maintenance issues. Had I known how reasonable hisprices were I would have saved myself a lot of time, trouble and money over the years trying to take care of things myself. This past summer I decided to re-do the pond, the liner was 15 years old and I suspected would last too much longer. I called Jeff and he shared his vision of the pond, unfortunately his vision cost a bit more than I could afford. I gave him a number and presumably he made some adjustments to his vision to accommodate the budget. Of course I was a bit disappointed that I wouldn't be getting the pond of my dreams. In under a week the new pond was unveiled. Some how Jeff had managed to way over-deliver! Too, Michelle was able to stock the pond at a tenth of the normal cost.The pond is more spectacular than I had even imagined, indeed I can'ttell where he cut back on his original vision. I have now enlisted Pondering Waters full service twice-monthly visits. I now have the most spectacular backyard and can completely enjoy it without the normal pond headaches. I encourage any one who is interested to contact Jeff or Michelle and come see the pond for yourself - they know how to get in touch with me.I just completed a season with regular pond maintenance. Harley and Kody are great at taking care of everything. Having a pond without the normal headaches, and without the algae, is wonderful. I can't imagine going back to taking care of everything myself!

I don't normally write reviews for businesses.. and I know I should.. but I enjoy what Jeff Michaels and his company has done soooo much that I felt that I should spread the word!! About 4 years ago I had Pondering Waters install a pondless Waterfall.. and I honestly can not express how much I love and enjoy it.. I spend almost every morning outside on my patio just relaxing listening to what I can describe as my favorite sound.. My waterfall is just awesome.. it's also just outside my bedroom window so each and every night I get to fall asleep to the sound of water flowing thru the rocks and it completely puts me at ease and then puts me to sleep.. I have mine on a timer so it goes off during the night! Now.. if that wasn't enough.. I just had Jeff and his company come out again this past summer and Install a three collum Basalt pondless water feature for my front yard!! I had a blank spot in my front bed that needed something to.stand out.. and WOW!! Does this stand out!!!! After it was installed he set up a 3 piece light kit that at night looks INCREDIBLE!! I have had so many comments its unbelievable!! Like my waterfall in the back yard it too was set up on a timer so I never have to go out and turn anything off or worry about anything running to long.. it was one of these best investments I have ever made!! The collums are just beautiful and they are drilled from the top to the bottom so the water just overflows from the top and flows down the collums revealing the gorgeous natural colors of the granite stone!! I don't take very many vacations due to our schedule, so I decided to turn our yard into our own private oasis.. and that is exactly how it feels when you're here.. and with all that being said.. none of this would have been possible without Mr. Michael's and his wonderful crew.. Jeff has alway been polite and kind to my wife and kids when working and Lord knows I've called and pestered him enough times with questions and thoughts about ideas and just questions in general about how-to maintain and keep it clean.. which by the way is about as low of maintenance as you could possibly imagine!! But Jeff has always answered all my questions and has always got back to me even when he's been super busy.. which is very rare these days.. so with all that being said.. I honestly can not say enough about Pondering Waters and more importantly the owner Jeff Michaels for being not only extremely professional but friendly and just all around great guy.. I am now saving for another water feature for my back yard come spring time!! So please trust me when I say don't hesitate to call.. You won't be sorry you did!!

STUART VON TONDER: August 1, 2005 my pond was installed by Jeff Michaels of Pondering Waters. My pond has been losing water at the rate of 1-2 inches for the last ten years despite the fact that Mr. Michaels has been called many times to determine the cause. Mr. Michaels has replaced two burned out pumps and recently replaced a face plate at a cost of $350. The water “leaking problem” continued and got worse.The pond continued to lose 3-4 inches of water in 24 hours. I therefore realized that if I was to determine what the problem was, I was going to have to tear the pond apart myself or continue to pay for repairs. I drained the pond and started tearing everything apart. I started rolling large boulders and small gravel from the falls until I reached directly under the falls. That’s when I saw it! Two liners! The large liner edge was completely under water, the soil had washed away three feet under the water fall line and roots had found their way into the pool of water under the liner. I trusted this man for ten years, but this leads me to believe that he knew he installed a liner that was too short and remembered doing so ten years ago, but continued to install it anyway without telling me. It is obvious that he didn’t want to pull the whole pond apart again and install a liner that fit the pond.I believe when Mr. Michaels discovered the liner for my pond was too short he installed a second liner by simply overlaying it over the short liner without attaching it with adhesive tape or glue or stopping this installation and ordering a larger liner. It appears to me that when he realized the liner was 3 feet short, he simply built up the dirt making two large shelves under the liner and put another liner down on top of it with large boulders to hide the problem.I feel I was deceived during the first installation ten years ago by putting in two pieces of liners instead of a full length liner to begin with. I was again duped when Mr. Michaels came out to fix a wicking problem after my first complaint ten years ago. I was duped the third time more recently when Mr. Michaels came out to fix what he said was a problem with the skimmer filter face plate. It is now obvious to me that this was not the problem at all and that the face plate did NOT need to be replaced at a cost of $350 to me. When I confronted him about it, he said it DID need replacing.In order for Mr. Michaels to renovate the existing pond, he quoted me $2,867.50 which would include more waterfall stones and new Aquascape 2500 waterfalls and filter boxes. I did not need more stones and new skimmer and waterfalls to renovate the existing pond as there is nothing wrong with them. I feel that the major problem here was the original two-piece liner installation and I should not be charged to fix this problem because of the original poor workmanship. I requested Pondering Waters to make complete compensation to me for the unnecessary $350 pond repair. This review is written in hopes that Mr. Michaels will never have the opportunity to do this to another customer. Mr. Michaels now realizes the huge mistake that has been made here as he has reimbursed me the $350 cost to replace the skimmer faceplate but only after I began action against him and sent him a threatening letter. The bottom line is stay away from Pondering Waters!
