New City Presbyterian Church: what do users think?
IC: Beautiful Church ⛪️ in North Ferndale. The vibe is the late 1950’sI Enjoyed a peaceful walk around nearby neighborhood.
Mike Jewell: We received a warm welcome and met new friends. Plus, we learned more about God's Word. Always a good combination.
Michael Song: Great PCA church with a fun "Worship on the lawn" experience in the summer.
Paul Joiner: What a great church! The people love Jesus and seriously believe his gospel. If you need real hope, you will find Jesus here. You won’t get watered down platitudes, you will get the gospel. You won’t get a message that says, “Try harder and be better” — you will get, “Jesus has won the battle, died the death you deserved to die, and has earned the reward you need to survive.” The pastor is a unique combination of kind, caring, and theologically astute. If you are looking for a church, visit New City for a month — you will find Jesus changing your life.
Simon: Cool church. The neighborhood is great and rich. I love it here.
Brenda McVicar: Recently visited this lovely church and came away feeling the warmth of the members was very genuine. They were very engaging with folks who were visiting and there was a good number of visitors it seemed. The Communion service as well as all aspects of the service were very mindful of people wanting the opportunity to gather and worship while feeling secure relative to the virus. I would definitely urge everyone looking for a solidly bible based church to visit with an open mind and no preconceived notions and I truly believe you will be very impressed and will leave glad that you came.
Richard McVicar: Beautiful building and sanctuary... but what makes this a great church are the people. Warm, welcoming, and family oriented. Gospel based sermons. When we visited a few weeks ago services were held outside. I understand that they will move to the renovated sanctuary soon. Hopefully that beautiful pipe organ will be ready to go.
Michael Duffy: Awesome community, solid gospel based reformed theology. So grateful to have found New City. It was very easy to get plugged in! Hope to see you there too.
Jack Gregory: I found this church through Google and wanted to leave a review for others looking - I was immediately welcomed here by both the pastor and the congregation upon my first visit after moving to the area. I've found great community at this church and it is so encouraging to hear the Gospel proclaimed so clearly every Sunday. If you are looking for a church I would definitely suggest coming one day to check it out.
Rachel Emily: New City is an awesome place to worship with a very inviting and friendly community. We always enjoy the thoughtful liturgy and biblically based messages. Definitely recommend checking it out!
Greg Brinks: Solid teaching and worship focused on The grace we can experience through Jesus. Friendly congregation with lots of young families.
Jeffrey Ammons: Inviting community. Personable pastor with a passion and gift for in-depth Bible teaching. Honest and kind people. Children are respected and valued. Music is beautiful, moving and accessible. I've been driving my family 30 minutes just to get there every Sunday since New City opened its doors!
Matt Luchenbill: Great place to worship and a great community of believers that loves the Lord and is passionate about the gospel!
Javier Contesse: At New City you can find people from all over Metro Detroit seeking to learn more about God and about ourselves from the timeless truths of Scripture. Sermons are applicable expositions of these truths, the music serves as a vehicle for appropriate responses to these truths in a beautiful and engaging way, and people here live these truths out building each other up and inviting others to this gospel-centered community. Come visit!
Pepa Santana: New City Church is a congregation that lives and breathes the Gospel. Each prayer, song, sermon, is a fresh breath of truth and grace. Community life is always encouraged, and everyone is very welcoming. The Nursery and Kid's Bible Time during the service serve our family well. We love coming to worship!
Joshua Brezenski: Good church
Jay Holladay: As a mid 20 year old, I felt very at home and welcomed.
Scott Porter: Might be a bit parochial (I'm a member) but this is an upbeat, gospel centric (reformed) Church that is representative of the Royal Oak community (young upwardly mobile with lots of kids). Focus areas include outreach, music, warmth and love.

First Presbyterian Church: what do users think?
Agent Fox: This is an awesome place to find God in your heart. Truly a place to help guide you in the right direction in a very powerful way, as is with all churches. When I started going there back in October of 2021, I was having some rough challenges. Over the time that I have been there, I have learned how to be a better person by learning the many ways we can stay connected with God. This church also does a lot for people with disabilities, as well as anywhere else in the community. They even record they’re services (as with many churches starting wheb Covid was strong) and post them on YouTube later on the everybody’s church channel so that we can watch it whenever we want. Or, if your like me, do morning church everyday. I can’t say enough good things for all the things this church has done for everybody. For me, after having been there for a few months, they let me volunteer there as an usher. Now they’ve let me have an actual paying job there to support me and my family financially. I really enjoy working there. This church has really changed our lives and we are forever grateful for the opportunity this church has given and provided for all of us. Thank you sooooooo much first presbyterian church of birmingham Michigan, I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve given. Almost 200 years later and this congregation is still going strong. That’s how good they are at spreading the word of Jesus
