Victoria Berry: Terrible experience… I’ve been with them for over a year and it started out great but then they kept increasing my rate. I started at $153 and it jumped to $232 (FOR BASIC COVERAGE). When I called and talked to customer service they couldn’t help me so I asked if it was possible to talk to someone else to help me, the lady said there was no one else I could talk to. I asked two more times and magically she was able to give my call to someone higher up who was able to help me to an extent. They also lost record of me bundling my auto and renters insurance from months ago (which I called to confirm when I first bundled everything to make sure it went through.)….switched over to AAA… got full coverage for $186

Sara Jungwirth: I am now very disappointed with my recent Progressive experience, prompting me to leave. I recently got married and we called to get a quote to add my husband's new car to the policy. The price was too high for us so we declined, but I still planned to remain with my policy as-is. The customer service representative said this is not possible now that they knew I was married and added my husband to the policy. I said this was not necessary as we don't drive each other's vehicles. They said they could remove him if I signed a waiver, but even so my rate, for just me alone would be going up more than $100 a month.They even planned to charge backpay for being married and planned to charge me $1,000 for the upcoming month.In short, I would have stayed with Progressive if they could have just left my rate as-is. I was very happy with it. When we tried to expand and add another driver this all changed.

J L: FUTURE & CURRENT CUSTOMERS, please read.It has taken me a few years to write this, since I've tried my hardest to let this go. But having to pass by this place daily I'm constantly reminded of how badly my case was mishandled, I feel now's the time to write a review.My vehicle needed repair so I wanted to go with a reputable shop for quality repair rather than a place that is quantity without quality. After a week long battle with the agents convincing me to go with their shop, while guaranteeing me free repair if the end result was subpar, I gave in. The day I picked up my vehicle at this location, the new paint had full of debris, dirt, & many other contaminants settled deep in it. Fisheyes & bubbles everywhere. Worse orange peele than factory.The manager, Jabbar R Bennett, gave me an attitude for pointing out all the flaws & wanting to send the car back like Progressive said I could. He questioned me if it was necessary to be picky, still giving me an attitude. In return, I asked if he's ever had shop experience, because if he did, he'd know the finish product was unacceptable. His answer was, no, he did not have prior shop experience.After numerous email exchanges & getting the car back for the second time, I noticed the car was not even repainted like the Progressive agent had promised on the phone. All the imperfections were still there. THE CAR CAME BACK WORSE THAN IT WAS PRIOR TO REPAIR. I even noticed bondo at areas that didn't need repair! At one point after this I reached out to Jabbar again via his office phone to see what Progressive can do to salvage the paint, he put me on hold. Knowing he was avoiding me I decided to drive to his office 30 minutes away. Upon arrival, with my call still on hold for almost an hour at this point, he was sitting in his office clearly not intending on getting back to me. Just waiting for me to hang up. His face was priceless when I caught him in the act of trying to avoid doing his job.Jabbar was fed up with me telling him how his shop messed up big time, so he had me go talk to the shop myself, because he refused to do his job again.I went to the paint shop, talked to the shop manager. They too, were useless by giving me excuses, lying straight to my face. Telling me the bondo along the edge of the hood is actually glue from the factory. Even thought it was clearly powdery at the areas that flaked off.At the end of all this, I was forced to sell my car due to the botched job they provided me. I lost tens of thousands of dollars due to the lack of sympathy & empty promises made by employees of this company.For those who cherish their cars & want it be treated properly by an insurance company, I'd highly recommend HAGERTY. They truly cater to those who love cars.For those who aren't experienced enough with car paint, PLEASE do yourself a favor & look for bumps, debris, & bubbles in your paint after a repaint. These are indicators of a dirty shop environment. Please let Progressive employees know, so they can't keep getting away with poor service while charging you a premium.

Chris Venable: Progressive insurance company has been amazing from the day I signed up 8 year's ago, Homeowners and auto insurance. Great company, reliable customer service. They do what they say they're going to. Definitely would recommend them to anyone and everyone. If you live in Michigan or another state that allows you to drop PIP Coverage ( Personal Injury Protection) it's a bit of a hassle to send a qualified health care letter every 6 months. Definitely worth the time for the monthly savings on car insurance. As long as your personal health care will cover the first 6k in the event of a accident.

They actually care about your feelings and well being more than running a corporation. Dan Z was extremely helpful, quickly responsive and amazing. Ive only been with progressive since January, and I have “0” complaints. My mother referred me to come here and I’m glad I did.

Bill Bader: BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH! I paid my policy in full at the beginning of the policy and elected for the decreased PIP insurance not the unlimited PIP that had plagued Michigan drivers for years. For the first 6 months of the policy I was able to sign everything online and everything was fine. Then the renewal came and I was informed that I could not sign the decreased coverages online and they would mail me some forms to sign. I signed the forms and sent them in. 3 months later I get a policy increase of $120. I called and they said I didn’t send in the BLANK first page with my signed forms. They said they would resend the forms. I got them a couple weeks later and resigned and resent including the blank first page. 2 months later when my policy was set to renew they said I had a balance of $65 now. I called and apparently because they did not receive the blank page until the end of January I was responsible for unlimited PIP insurance from October until January. Despite my previous policy of lower PIP and them receiving the SIGNED DOCUMENTS IN OCTOBER somehow they think I owe them $65. I will never use progressive again nor would I recommend anyone to use them either. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

My rates have gone up since the big insurance reform, until I left and found a much better rate on my own. Upon trying to cancel my insurance I was told I needed to sign something to cancel, but I never received it through my email, which is weird because all my bills and other important documentation came through my email, but suddenly when I wanted to cancel, I never received my documents. That place is a joke. Never again.
