Bailey Brichacek: I have been working at Chandler Park Golf Course since the summer of 2020, and I absolutely love it. My co-workers are friendly and supportive, and my managers (Lisa and Erin) are kind, generous, caring, and flexible. The maintenance crew for the course are extremely kind and have really improved the course within the few years I have been working here. Also, the atmosphere and environment would be one of my major highlights of working here. We are lucky to experience such a diverse group of golfers locally, from all around the country, and even from out of the country. We try our best to accommodate to every customers' needs, and we will run specials on drinks throughout the summer for those who enjoy a drink on the course. I would highly recommend coming to the course to enjoy a positive, diverse, and inclusive community, and of course a relaxing round of golf. I hope to see some new faces this summer, and if you have any questions you can always check out our website or call the course. We are more than happy to help!

Eleanore Schroeder: Great city course and even better staff! The course itself is in the best shape I've ever seen it in my 15 years of golfing there. And the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I run an annual charity golf outing with 120 golfers every year at Chandler and the current stuff, lead by Lisa Woodcox, is amazing. They are truly a pleasure to work with and make our outing so special every year. We can't imagine having it anywhere else. Thank you Chandler Park!

Trent Hitchens: Myself & two other Entertainer Coach Drivers for Def Leppard were in town for a day off on 7/9/22 before the show on 7/10/22. We decided to play a 'lil golf and in our search of nearby courses we came across Chandler Park. The course was great and we each played 27 holes. Erin was our contact at the course and great to work with. As a matter of fact, the entire staff was amazing and very helpful. We highly recommend this course and while you're there make sure to grab ya some tasty hot dogs &adult beverages before heading out to start your round of play. 🤘🏻🎶

Jeff Berger: Its a shame how poorly the course is run. Paid for 18. Played 9 in about 80 mins only to have 3 groups waiting on the 10th tee. They would only refund me $7, no rain check, even though the starter sent all of them out right in front of me. Only play here if you don’t mind terrible service and very slow play. 😢 I used to love Rackham.

Raymond: A Donald Ross designed golf course next to the Detroit zoo that opened to the public in 1925. Undulating greens encourage keen eye to read the break to score well and not have those annoying three putts on the card. Always look forward to playing there.

Russell Vergis: I enjoy playing this course, my only real complaint is they continue to put groups off 10, we're making the turn. The starter told me we don't do that and as we're putting on nine a 2some starts teeing on 10. People have plan's and want a nice 4-4 and a half hour round and your starter screws that up.
Adam Tonge: This is a great old school golf course in a relatively urban setting. It isn’t the longest or most difficult course, but it’s enjoyable and the staff is accommodating.Remember, this is a 100 year old municipal course that caters to all types of skill levels and cannot serve alcohol because if deed restrictions. Adjust your expectations accordingly. Pace of play us typically very good, but it is a busy course.The new management company has really improved the facility. Rackham was in better shape this year than some of the very expensive places I’ve played. It’s also my 9 year old’s favorite course. I will continue to come back and enjoy this gem of a course.
Rob Macdonald: We played here during the week and it was awesome! It wasn't too busy, we could golf at our own pace.This is a classic Donald Ross course. Strategically placed hazards, gave me some challenges. Not to mention a few balls that went missing in the rough. The course was in good shape for the fall.It was easily accessible, plenty of parking. Enjoy!

A.J. Katharopoulos: Rackham is solid fun - probably the only negatives about the course are that it could be better cared for and that some of the yardages seem a little goofy. But it's in a great location and a decent public course.Revised 2022: knocking a star off for a couple reasons: 1, no yardage markers at holes anymore; and 2, no water on the course ANYWHERE even on a 97-degree day. Very irresponsible.
Jacob Centala: Spend your time and money elsewhere. I enjoyed this course for a while, but it has taken a turn for the worse over the last couple years. At least half the fairways have gaping dead spots from their flood damage. They are one of the worst courses I've been to in terms of managing tee time separation. They regularly book tee times less than 6-8 minutes apart so you're lucky if you see any less than 2 foursomes at a tee box, and that includes the first tee box. Then when it gets backed up, they don't have any rangers out to moderate pace of play. Even if you call, they don't send anyone out regardless of what they tell you. Every time I have played here the round takes at least 5 hours. When we were there this past Sunday, we already surpassed the 1 hour mark when we got to the 4th tee box. I have no intention of playing here again unless I hear things have gotten significantly better.
Raj Ven: 4/24/22- Rackham golf course 👍👍👍👍👍Course 👍 - maintain decent but not great. Most of the holes are muddy with rain but greens are in great shape. Lot of sand bunkers and few holes has tree hazards. Some of the holes close by so need to watch out. Not recommended if rains badlyValue of the money 👍 - $35 for 18 holes decent price for this course. Hope this stayAmenities 👍- chipping / putting area there. Proshop has food and drinks but no beer cart girl in the course thoughPace of the play 👍 - Ranger was there at 1st holes but not saw at course but since we go morning and most of the time pace of the play was okStaff & management👍 - we had bad experience before but this season so far great experience from staff and manager was very responsive and supportive---May 2021⭐⭐⭐Course is decent and fareways could have been better. Green challengeble and not easy. Greenmaintained pretty good. Busy days expected back up and need better tee management. Missing beer at 90s and could have been better. We bought tee time from golf now and had tough time to honor the golf now price. After long arguments with staff offered "one time courtesy". Watch out on this and not sure why miscommunication with golf now and this has to be fixed.

Mark Keating: High rating not because it's a killer course but because it's a lot better than I expected. Drove past this place thousands of times. Looked like it might be a putt putt type par three course so I never gave it a thought. Then two buddies said they were playing it so I went to check it out. It got some uneven fairways, decent amount of bunkers, some pretty rough heather rough and some small greens. Enough to make it more fun than a flat, boring, par three course. And four of the 9 holes are par 4's. The staff have been real polite all four times I've played there, the carts are new, and they have nice pull carts if you want to walk or if they aren't letting carts out because of rain. Like I said I expected much less, and though I'd rather play 18. For a little 9 hole course that's easy to get to it's pretty good IMO.

Mike Lantz: Simply amazing!!! Recently went there with 20 guys not knowing what to expect and had one of the best golfing experiences ever. From the golf to the accomodations to the dining to the staff it was all "first-class". Already talking about returning next year.

Probably the last time I play, they over book and then complain, but it’s by far the slowest rate of play. A bunch of old people slow it down and then they do nothing about it.

Drew Allison: Has to be one of the worst courses in the area. The cart paths are just gravel or dirt and that is when they have cart paths, most of the time they do not. Tee boxes and fairways are in terrible shape. The fairways are not maintained or anything its a bunch of weeds and clovers. Greens are rough becuase of all the dead grass but at least they are trimmed well. I think the place just has too many holes to maintain and cannot do it. Should shrink down to like a 36.
OMG: i love maple lanes. you can ALWAYS get out at maple lanes.they have a fantastic staff ranging from a bunch of happy youngsters running carts to the parking lot all the way to a bunch of rough and ready men working the course.so far they have returned my phone 5 times and yesterday found BOTH of my golf GPS units i left on the cart.i've been playing here since pulling a bag for my old man 58 years ago. i absolutely love maple lanes.i'm Old Man George and i approve this message.PS Manager, hit me up if you need someone who can weld.

Jinyong Luo: Probably never play here again for both my wife and me. Played 9 holes out of 18 today, it was very windy and started to rain, checked with front desk whether a rain check could be issued. The staff was very reluctant to talk to us first and said no. We further probed and he showed us the rules. According to the rules, you will never get a raincheck, period! We just left, very disappointed.

Austin L: Paid for 18 holes and only got to play 9 because we were kicked off for having a Truly in our cart. Pro shop worker was rude and asked us to come inside and look at a rule regarding alcohol written on the wall that would never be noticed unless you were looking for it. Wasn’t like we were shotgunning drinks, just had one drink each and there was no beer cart out yet for the day. Going to avoid this course going forward!

Tena Harwick: This place has the absolute most rude staff! Apparently they’re known for their rudeness and for going through people’s bags. Even when you call to make a Tee time they’re nasty. We tried to order a couple hotdogs at the turn and the chef nearly lost his mind at us. I don’t know if they’re under staffed and over worked or what but we will never go back. Plenty of other courses in the area that deserve my money more than this place!

Brendan Buffa: A beautiful course - a total shame that the experience is downright terrible. I booked a 4p tee time on Saturday for my birthday and I was greeted by the rudest clubhouse attendant, who I had to snap to attention when I walked in as he was taking a nice, long gaze at the chests and behinds of multiple female golfers. My partner and I golfed 18 holes and were not greeted by the bar cart once, even after attempts to flag them down (which, is the only way to drink alcohol on the course as the rude attendant makes you actually read a sign agreeing not to bring any alcohol on the course - something my partner and I abided by in hopes to purchase drinks whilst on the course!) We had a pocket full of cash in hopes to celebrate my birthday on the course. Then, the icing on the cake, the cart died on the 16th and my partner and I had to hoof it back to the clubhouse. When we got back to the clubhouse in hopes to bring it to somebody’s attention, there wasn’t a soul in sight. It was 7p and they close at 9p. I guess it was time to close shop early! Just a terrible experience overall and I surely won’t be back.
Bryce Kuehl: I took my work friends to a golf course that was half way between both of our houses. My friend brought one White Claw on the course and we entered transparently. We played 9 holes and went to grab a couple of dogs at the turn. When we pulled up to the club house a man came over and instantly grabbed my backpack and searched it. I had a water bottle and he looked at me with a stern face and said “ you know you’re not suppose to have this out here”. I was shocked. I was genuinely offended that a random man would have the audacity to come and rummage through my bag unsolicited. He then kicked us off the course. We were gentlemen, we didn’t put up a stink, and we were agreeable. I will never come back to this golf course. I think before you make a T-time you should think the same too. I refuse to give my money to people like this…….
Blake Ssaoaak: Course is in very bad shape and run very poorly. The management should be replaced. They were very rude to my group and we will not be playing there again. I highly recommend to avoid this course until they do something with the gentleman that is running it.
Ryan Arena: Very disappointing experience. IF YOU PLAN ON TAKING YOUR CHILD MAKE SURE TO CALL AHEAD. I took my 7 year old daughter for twilight during the week. I was told that a child was struck by a golf ball at a course up north, and the lawyer who represents that course also represents Plum Brook. Their lawyer advised that they (plum brook) need to be careful. Which apparently meant not letting kids on the course to play, so my daughter and I had to find another spot to play. It is unfortunate because I love going to this course for twilight due to there not being a lot of foot traffic after 6PM.
Eric Chang: Went to play 18 this morning. A staff (with white hair) was very unwelcoming. When I checked in he kept looking at my sackpack bag and eventually asked me what's inside. After I explained it is where I put my phone and sunglass when I play golf, he insisted in taking a look inside. I did not like it at all; I feel being treated like a criminal and I certainly will not be back again.
Alec Drohan: Absolute joke of a golf course. The fact that they charge $49 for 18 is robbery. The tee boxes are so eaten up and uneven(they don’t even have ball cleaners). Every fairway has massive chunks taken out of it.There is deep standing water taking up fairways on multiple holes and ruts everywhere from carts. Be smart and spend $50 to play at a real course.
Pamela Nolan-Muir: I was sad to learn that my old boss Paul had passed. I've just move back home after 33 years. I worked at Plum Brook for several years, by far my favorite job. I'd still highly recommend Plum Brook, my understanding is that his son is now running it. If he's anything like his father, I know that it's as good or better golf course!

Da BATMAN I am out the D: It’s the best landscaped designed toughest challenge fun course with in 20-30 miles of the Detroit metro area staff is wonderful for a very nice price by all means I recommend it
Renda Y: Staff is very rude and unprofessional. Don’t waste your money here. Plenty of other courses that have a friendly environment, this is not one of them.
John Domutz: I like to practice putting and chipping at Rouge Golf course. I grew up playing golf there and it's an old familiar place to go to. I play a round or two per year there as well.

Josh P: It had been some years since I played here. The course was in the best condition I have ever seen it in. It was a Sunday with a late morning tee time, play was a little slow. The addition of a beverage cart was nice, bring cash though at the time they couldn't run a card an the cart. Maybe get a pay square in the future? I'll be playing this course more. The course always had a nice layout. Awesome to see it in great shape.
Eric Evans: This is my home course and I love it ,,,weekdays if no leagues come out at 4:30 and get in the skin game ,,,, solomon,gravedigger,flash, cinco, Fred neal,and the rest of the boys will happily take your 20 bucks everyday

Karly Gallis: My friends and I golfed here last night and had a great time. The staff was friendly, the course was well-maintained, and we had a great experience. We golfed in the evening and had the perk of watching the sun go down over the beautiful course. We did the front nine and I found the course challenging but fun with lots of water to shoot over and curvy holes that make you strategize your shots. We’ll definitely be back!

Edward Kim: Very enjoyable course. One of the oldest in the Detroit area. Course conditions are far from ideal as this course is prone to flooding.
Jason Walewski: I love this track.. great open course in the city. Some water holes that make you adjust your game a little. Some par 3 tee boxes could use some work, greens were in great shape and the course was very playable.
Albert Crumsey: Challenging course. Needs trees to be cut, narrow fairways, awkward hole placement. Brings some balls with you, because you're going to lose some!!!!
Joseph Woods: Challenging course. Some strange holes but fun. Kept up better than last year. Love the wild life. It's like they belong there. Reasonable price.

Lisa Wohlfeil: Great course! Close by and small enough that you can really hone your short game. Highly recommend!!!
Matt Lewis: Course is in great shape, New carts, new roof and paint on the clubhouse as well as 3 new bridges. Season is coming to an end soon, grounds crew is making preparations, also getting new wiring for the sprinklers.
Kent Wagner: Just finished playing and the course was in fantastic shape and they have some new bridges on #7 and #8. Greens were cut perfectly, and the streams made a nice background while playing. As always, the staff was friendly and accomodating. The course is quite fun from the back tees and will provide a variety of second and third shots into the green. And the diet mountain dew is always cold.

You have to share with geese, but they're chill.Don't go here if you're a great golfer, it's not for you. This course is for the 5 times a year golfer.

Cheryl Smith: Course was ok. We bought out tee time off of golf now. According to golf now, cart fee was included and when we checked in we were charged $20 for the cart. What gives?? This course and Golf Now need to communicate. Was not happy with this.
Chris Pecoraro: This course is honestly not the best out there, but for some reason I love it. Awesome place to work on your iron shots. But be weary of the fact that the grounds are not upkept at all.

Krysta Howells: If I could leave this place zero stars I would! My husband and I have gone to this golf course for over a year now and have enjoyed it till today! We had a tee time and DUE to TRAFFIC that is out of OUR control we were 3 MINUTES late... 3 MINUTES!!! The manager or whoever was at the counter told us we could no longer golf at our tee time. When trying to explain to them we had no idea traffic was bad they had bad attitudes and didn't even care! They told us we could go at 4 however that did not work for us. So we had asked for a raincheck. The guy did not let us get that and told us to call GolfNow. So we did. The young lady on there was nice and said she would have to call the golf course to get approval for a refund. The manager refused to give us a refund because we "could" have called staying we would be late. However who would have thought traffic would be busy at 2:40 pm! I'm so very disappointed and we will never return to this golf course!
Daniel Bukacel: The course is moderately groomed. It also seemed a bit overbooked.The two stars come from the enjoyment of working on short game with par 3’s and 4’s, and the carts are brand new. One of the staff members, possibly the owner (older gentleman), was a bit insulting when we arrived and when we left. Don’t expect kindness from the staff here if you look young, they assume you’re there to get drunk and drive carts.

Walter Wnuk: Hidden Gem! It's a nice little course. Par 3's & 4's. Excellent course to improve your short game. The staff is very friendly, especially Baird.I play this course approximately 6 times per year. Occasionally it gets very busy and pace of play will slow down but nothing out of the ordinary.As a bonus they received new carts this year (2022). Basic gas powered Yamaha with phone/power charger ports.

The gentleman at the clubhouse was extremely friendly and accommodating; overall just a fantastic experience! I HIGHLY recommend this course to all golfers looking for a fun and relaxing round!
