City Of Warren Recycling: what do users think?
D Gravat: This place is great! U can take yard waste as long as u have a Warren address. No contractors, u can take concrete, logs, plastic,& so many other things. If u have something that I did not list u can call & ask.
Justin Ramey: Don't believe what the guy at the gate says, he definitely is not an advocate for recycling. I brought in a 10 gallon bucket full of loose nails. He said they didn't want all that in their recycling containers because the containers have wholes and to just dump them in the trash "I dont understand, why do the container have wholes", "because they are old and the owner is to cheap to repair them". So I challenged him on what is the point of coming here was. Then he said take it to one of the newer dumpster/ containers for metal.I wonder why he didn't just say that in the beginning. He was just to lazy to tell me where to take them or he just didn't care.
Ronald Ward: Whatever you need to get rid of you can bring it here. I got rid of 5 years worth of dead batteries. You can also recycle old appliances
Kayla Scherr: Clean, friendly staff, able to recycle lots of different items.
Love Hydrangeas: Kind staff
Sal P: Couldn’t ask for a cooler place
Craige Doyle: Very clean and organized recycling yard. Be an earth friendly citizen and recycle what ever you can.
April Robinson: Still waiting on a large recycling bin. There wasn't one here at the house when we moved in, in Oct 2018.
Janet Dimichele: So i give the recycling yard 5 gold starsBut one lady in office is just rude like you are bothering her 🙄she should be allow to answer the phones
John Halsey: It's easy in and easy out. They also keep it very clean for being a recycling center.
Calvin May: Well when I first showed up, they told me I couldn't come in with my box truck, so if you go there don't use a uhaul truck or anything like that, but, guess what? The gentleman was very nice enough to let us come in and unload, which we did of course and quickly got out of there. It wasn't quite a full load of disposable household items which we threw into large dumpsters. Everything turned out ok.
jerome Rizzo: Very easy process checking in.You have to empty your load yourselves so bevware that if you need help you're going to have to bring it with you.If you want the city to pick up more than your bin and two items in garbage day they'll charge you $400.
Jeremiah Bates: Very friendly and helpful
Tom Hornik: Dropped off some old electronics and a few other things. Efficient and friendly,
John B.: Well run Recycling place.Organized and clean.
BKin D: Good place to take your junk
Matthew Chapoton: Excellent customer service
Troy Tauck: Really clean
Clint Blake: Very nice clean and friendly thanks
Deborah Page: They are so organized
GrunisStudio: Very Clean!!!

Great Lakes Electronics: what do users think?
Timothy Fowler: First time here, Al was awesome directed me onto scale, gave me instructions on how things were going to go, and spoke clearly enough for me to understand the process, all went very smoothly
Astro Star: Very tight and long wait times for semis
Michael Hagner: Great place to scrap your items, most of the time the prices are pretty fair. The employees I have met are very nice and responsive to your needs. Please understand that it is a scrap yard so you will be helped on a next in line basis.
Denise L: Now that they have better management to keep it running smoothly we go alot more

GLE Scrap Metal - Warren: what do users think?
William Pinkney: Friendly and great service all so pay great on scrap metals.
The Clark: Didn't pay anything for the 5 stars..good place..
Nour Banoucha: Great place and great people very hopeful.
Yana Krefman: A very well run company!
foxyLoganboss golden freddy springtrap: The worst place to unload in a semi truck..... Literally a 4 wait just to get unloaded.... If I could give it zero stars I would
Dannette Huffman: Quick delivery and Mr. Bill stretched his legs
Timothy Murray: Good service and good price
michael m: Only gave me half the price of all the other scrap yard around I should have called ahead before I went there
Kenneth Manczuk: Awesome yard staff. Very helpful and friendly.
Tinyy Tee (Tinyy): Caring and polite workers
Ryan S: More hectic and difficult to navigate than some other yards, but I've generally had good experiences here. Would recommend.
David K.: Noisy and rude to neighbors
Bash Cle: Never again.
Tina Rigby: Had no issues there, very helpful, brass and copper are getting great price. The people work very hard there.
Jason Hedges: Shout-out to Kelvin, always a pleasure to see him, he'll help you out as much as he can...the place can get a bit cramped at times, but just be patient, everything will work out......
Milan Trifunov: Too small for semi…. Slide your tandems forward. Swing as wide as you can. Every inch matters here. Do not pull in to the yard unless directed by employees. Park on the street. Will get you out otherwise. Heavy civilians traffic out here. Will jump you all the time. Once when you pass all this horror, they’ll send you to a “shipping” docks. You must be really good. No space to straightening the rig. Must find the right angle. Once you’re loaded back on the scale. When you’re done pull from the scale continuously (without stopping) but don’t exceed 5mph so they can get load “heat” reading (somehow they forgot to mention). They didn’t catch mine so I looped again (another 10-15 min). After all that two hours and 45 min in my case, you’re good to go👍 Sucks, I know. Far away from 5 star rating but people are trying hard here.
jzsupply: Awesome Place staff isHelpful and friendlyOnly place I like to go to!
Shane Halley: Wouldn't recommend to anyone, very rude staff as they assume you should now there process and become frustrated if u don't! I'm also sure there drive on scale is not accurate or only good for large semi loads! Scale bounces 20- 100 pounds while parked in same spots and varys more so in different spots. Seems pretty sketchy to me!!
Joseph Rziemkowski: Great place good pay polite workers
Michael Carlisi: Friendly atmosphere
Chri S Wendorf: This place is awesome, soo much help around, very easy to scrap,I took back 500 lbs of aluminum, they hooked me up quick, they rock at that scrap yard...

Midas Metal Recycling Inc: what do users think?
Dragoon 3269: I called for pricing and the guy was very rude
Andrew: If your going to call, it’s not worth it unless you are doing it for fun. I called just to ask for prices, in response all I got was attitude.
Dan Snyder: Called to ask about scrapping aluminum and steel and was turned away with no reason. "Can't help you good day". I understand we all have busy lives but seriously - for a company that prides themselves in a good experience I'd say this place is pretty sub-standard.
Jeff Balnius: Even tho the owner said he couldn't take the scrap that we had today from our newly bought building for work he still helped us out by telling us where we could go to get rid of it.he was very helpful and polite, unlike what the one person said here.
Jeff K: I was treated with honesty and felt completely comfortable with the service I received. I will gladly recommend Midas to anyone that asks. Thank you!!
Alec Stines: After reading the reviews i was compelled to try and do business with Midas. it certainly couldn't be as bad as two other people have said. We were pleasantly surprised it was a very clean and friendly atmosphere and we scaled out with more weight than we thought we had. The experience was easy, fast, friendly, and profitable.

Silicon Alley Recyclers: what do users think?
Jack Berry: Gave this place two tries in the past year, looking for some vintage hardware/parts. The first time, I found a machine I was interested in. Owner told me it would have to be tested first. Okay, whatever. I ask how much he wanted for it, so he hops on ebay and immediately finds the most expensive listing he can find. $3500 for a 25 year old computer that's just going to be scrapped otherwise? No thanks.Gave them another shot a few months later. Found more items I was interested in, and once again the owner is TERRIFIED to let me buy or inspect any of this stuff. Everything vintage is either not for sale or "needs to be tested". I said fine, gave my contact information, and waited around a month to hear back. I called two or three times to see if there were any updates and I was pretty much blown off each time. Last time I tried calling I was told they had bought parts to test the stuff. Seriously? I have no doubt in my mind I wouldve been charged extra for whatever they bought to test this stuff, and they didn't even check with me. I just hung up. Never coming here again, dealing with the owner about the vintage hardware is a serious pain. It's not worth it, DO NOT COME HERE IF YOURE LOOKING FOR VINTAGE HARDWARE
Tony McCrary: Very friendly and helpful!
D Fillinger: EDIT.. THEY CLOSED DOWN -2022First off gto Pastor E~USE your REAL name your no pastor, I live here and You can not,(I am involved in my community) do not, but, it makes you what ?? feel better.?I have had one tough year w/microsoft playing its games, my moms pc went dead! Problem is I don't need anything but the tower. he gave me a fair p[rice 3rd one I've bought and my family runs into the ground, thankfully they are there and that Ron, answers any and I have a lot of questions with patience and a smile! So My mom will Have a new Computer for Christmas. and it will not cost me an arm and a leg! So Thank You Ron, and Team. ** If you all think they are using your old pc parts they are not** (but if they did why would you care? you were going to allow toxins into our water, and put it to the curb, you weren't going to fix it) !!! They are taking them and disposing of them in a safe manner!,When YOU put them on the curb you are allowing lead and a lot of it,( which inside of the monitors )to be taken to a landfill, smashed dirt on top repeat it will end up in our water, and we can all be Like characters in a Stephen King Novel, or you can be responsible! It is very easy ,really you can just drop stuff off at their rolling doors, i have picked monitors up on garbage night many a time and put them up there, no problem BE RESPONSIBLE people!!we do not need the insides of the monitors with lead, mercury & etc. getting into our groundwater!you can also drop off working or old non working tv's as well.. Its non profit, I am glad it is in our ever changing community ~Jesus
Zack Ostin: Located behind the Ace hardware, this place is literally a hidden gem. Free electronics recycling, affordable refurbished electronics, and a very friendly owner. I cannot recommend it enough.
Mr Mark: Cool place check em out!
Jim B: Took all of my electronic junk with no hassle.
Joseph Gosnell: I transitioned from a customer to a volunteer for this charity. After some time spent in the shop, I decided this would be a valuable learning experience. After one year in Ron's volunteer program, I became the go-to person for the refurbished servers in the store. This has served me well, as I am now in my medical residency program, where I am putting that knowledge to use in building up my program's IT infrastructure and research capabilities by helping to advise our department and lab on which servers and other equipment will best fit their needs and "future proof" for experiments down the road.Fantastic charity that does good for the community and volunteers! Pay them a visit today!
Julia M.G. Rau (rauj808): An excellent local (Metro Detroit) resource for donating unwanted electronics and/or buying refurbished laptops, computers, etc. Ron the proprietor is enthusiastic, helpful, and devoted to lessening the environmental impact of our many used electronics. I was grateful to find this place that would appreciate both my defective Intel 7th gen i7-7700 from 2018 as well as my obsolete Sony Vaio from 2004. Feel glad I can also bring my various other unused electronics parts here in the future. I think Silicon Alley Recyclers provides a valuable service in the form of giving new life to used electronics. Happy to have found them by doing an internet search for places near me to donate computers.
Shams Chowdhury: They are moving to new address 7509 E 10 Miles. Center lane. Behind ACE hardware.
Clayton Pitts (Linuxwebfly): Great love this place. They say they will be moving soon. To Hayes and 10 Mile. I dropped off a few printers. Looked around inside at a few laptops.
Ricardo Jennings: Ron treats me very well every time I go there!!!
Ken Warner: I've bought several computers over the years from this place, and have always been delighted with my purchase. I highly recommend it if you want a good solid laptop or tower, but you don't really need a new one.
Janet Federle: I was able to drop off my old laptop and a bunch of outdated cables, cords, keyboard, camera stuff, etc, without being charged! Geek squad would have charged me to take my laptop, and would not have taken the other stuff. I LOVE that I have a place to take my electronics for recycling instead of tossing in the trash, and filling the landfills with hazardous materials. They have electronics for sale too, I was only there to drop off though.Thank you so much Silicon Alley!
Arijela Cosic: Found the right case for my son's computer project. They have a vast selection of computer stuff. Friendly staff.
Sam Fox: Offers volunteer programs of which I've participated in , it boosted my experience and knowledge in the information technology field and it gave me the courage to do better with myself. I am now an I.T. Professional from being a drop out. In general though; Business grade computers , large stock, hard to find tech, cleaned up, great refurbished machines. Recycles old technology so that it doesn't end up in landfills that hurt the environment. I've personally purchased equipment from the owner myself, in-fact I'm typing this review on a laptop I purchased from them right now. Thanks Ron!-2020 UpdateI've now been promoted in my career twice now, and it all started here.
oscarsoria88: Great non profit that will recycle your old electronics for free.
Wesley Arnold: I have known the owner of this recycling business for over ten years and have purchased many computers and a few copiers from him. His prices are the absolute lowest anywhere. All of his computers are used as are the copiers. He gets the computers from businesses and professionally wipes the hard drive and re installs the same operating system. I have purchased several desk top and several laptop computers from him over the years. On every purchase he demonstrated that the machine was in working order and I was invited to check it out in the store. I have no complaint on any machine I bought there. He usually runs computers steadily for a week as a test. The several copiers I bought over several years all worked fine. Copiers are complicated, do wear out and I have run some into the ground but he can prove it is working before you buy it. But considering I paid a very low price everything I got there, the place has real bargains. Considering you are getting the operating system for free and everything is provably working OK, I have not had a problem with his as is policy.
Charlie Underwood: A nice selection of vintage hardware, however everything I picked up to buy was not for sale. The excuses ranged from it was not tested yet to it might be going on Ebay. Doubt I'll be going back since it is a 45 minute drive from my house. I was excited to go, and left extremely disappointed.
D Weisman: Very helpful. They had a power supply for my old Dell, and at a reasonable price. He knew what I needed and where it was. A quick purchase, but stayed to chat.
Angela Waters: Service was very professional and friendly..
Frank Adam Williamson: Mark is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I primarily visit for periphials and cables but you can get pretty good systems for general use here. I'm a gamer who builds his own and I routinely can get supplies to finish things off.
