Troy Family Aquatic Center: what do users think?
Jaden Taylor: I went here for the summer last year and everything was good for the most part except this one white man didn't check the white people but since we were black, they checked us 🙄😒
Stephanie Zaner: Amazing
TiLynn P: I honestly thought it was a great place for my family and me to spend one of the last days of summer.
def Tone: Not worth the money. Not enough of anything to accommodate needs. $5 would be adequate...
love kings 680: I absolutely LOVE going here in the summer!! I love how the pool is walk in because you can just sit on the shore area and little kids can play. When my daughter was a kid she was obsessed with the small waterslide in the kid's area. Two fun waterslides... One with an intertube and one without. A nice consession stand that is very reasonably priced. It has a much better atmosphere then some of the bigger water parks and always seems super clean!
Sriza: It showed on the website that it was open but when we got there it was closed and there wasn’t any holidays or anything like that.
Lerlean Brown: My daughter's loved it. It was the youngest birthday. But there's something there for everyone.
Lindsay Simon: This is a great water park. There is a splash pad for the little ones. The pool is a nice size with 3 lap lanes. There are 2 water slides. 1 for tubes and another for persons. The life guards were helpful in allowing children to attempt a swim test for the slides. My daughter is 9 and we enjoyed swimming for several hours.
Isaiah Pickens: It was pretty fun! Food was delicious and the lifeguards at the waterslides were so kind and handled problems well. The bathrooms were definitely gross though.
Mary Shenouda: Long review!! The experience for swimming classes in the center is not the greatest. The staff is friendly but truly don't really know how to help. When I arrived on the first day, trying to figure out where is my daughters class took 10-15 mins. Everyone asked me what is the class code? Even when provided, did not make a difference. When they could have simply looked her up by name instead of making me loop around the whole pool figuring out where is her class! As for my other daughter, the coach sprained his arm (Shane) and can't hold her and she is screaming to get out of the water. I had to run the session for her where I kept encouraging her and putting her back in the water. She was still scared but she was asked by her coach to walk in the water. Granted, I am not a swimming instructor, but I saw that my daughter panicked for that request. I feel that things could have been conducted differently. Especially she missed half of the sessions due to an injury and that was her first time in the latter half. Also, she was with "a stranger " not with family and no floating devices. Based on all of these factors, I feel things could have been conducted differently and in a more friendly and less intimidating way for her.Overall, it was an okay experience. I am unsure if I would repeat it.Edit on 8/1. I was never contacted from the office despite sending an email as they asked for.
Khaled Ali: Busy
iTzNAKiB (ITzNAKiB): it was great the water slide was the bestt
Victoria Garcia: This place is a public safety hazard. How it is still open, I don’t know. The bathrooms had old backed up water in a puddle all over the floors and exploded diapers in the showers. The pool had dirty bandaids, dead bugs, and trash floating in it, not to mention the water was just overall murky and gross. The lifeguards seemed extremely undertrained and the office offered zero help for any refund. And then willing told us that they didn’t have ppl to clean the bathroom for women bc it was a male janitor. I don’t know it was okay to have your business be a public health hazard just bc you didn’t hire the right staff. Overall- go to LITERALLY any other place than this. My family has went to the wave pool since we all were babies and NEVER had an issue. Truly disgusted by the staff and conditions of this place. This may be a “family” center but I wouldn’t even bring an animal here.
Gary Landry: Great place
samantha richards: Had my 9yo birthday here and it was so GREAT! This was our first time there as well, the kids had a blast and I was so happy with all that was available for them to do. Highly recommend for family fun for all ages, accomadates even the littles, once I got there I wished I had brought my 1 1/2yo. Teenagers even showed up and had a blast!
tamara estefo: Nice place but high prices
Timothy Sawwah: If you are a local, make sure you show your Id and mention it otherwise you will be charged 1.5x the price. Its not crowded during weekdays. It’s great place for family with kids. You can’t bring in your food or drinks. The lifeguards are doing an awesome job!
Hano Esho: We were there, waited for 30 minutes.Just to find out they were closed for cold weather(it was 75 degrees). I guess they were only closed because of being short staffed, so the cold weather is just a excuse.
Steven Sabens: Beautiful pool and quality help.
Claire: Had a blast today and the food was phenomenal too!! Definitely our new go to!
Ab Cc: Awesome family fun

Wayne County Family Aquatic Center: what do users think?
Charles Smith: I love this place. Clean, stress and drama free fun for a fair price. With a wave pool, water slides and food bar, this place is amazing.!!!
Lovin Mehh: Seasonal family fun
Tina Peterson: Safe and fun for a family time. Food prices reasonable. Lots of setting. Good showers.
Patricia Williams: Great place to cool off on a hot day!
Virjetta Stafford: Close by very gud life guards especially Louie Stafford
Victoria Nikol': I haven’t been here in years… I honestly this year made it the 10th years before visiting the other day.My time there was nice. I went for a birthday party which took place during their starting hours which was 11am. And we were able to get a tent/ shelter area for 2 hours. During the 2hrs the staff was polite, approachable, and very attentive to our needs/ wants. The event team do very well. The park itself have not change in the last 10 years, everything was still the same as it was years ago.If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to enjoy yourself and take the kiddos for a few hours or the day this is a good place to good in the city of Detroit. They have pools for all ages. Kiddy pool for the little one. Water slide for the ones of height (48in). And large wave pool for everyone. One thing that should be fixed is the steps for the water slide…. I feel as they can be cleaned/ cleaner than what they were. Also, maintenance upkeep on the bathrooms/ showers… less water on the floors and proper drainage.
Germany Bullock: Do u have to wear a swimsuit if not swimming just bringing the kids
Focused-on Life!: Nice pool area for kids..my son had a blast this summer.
Chamone Pearson: July 30th I left because it was algae/bacteria everywhere. I was disappointed and disgusted. I couldn’t believe that the pool was nasty. I was highly upset and of course no refunds. Y’all gotta do better!!!!! I’ve been going over 10yrs and I never seen the pool that filthy!!!!!
Cher Fost: My son and I had a great time. Very clean, and well staffed. Food was fine as well.
Deneen Caston: Wonderful place for water adventures and family fun.
Jassa Brar: Fun county for children
Lena Mitchell: Small, lots of people. Park should limit capacity or expand. Fun and the employees were friendly
Seletha Porter: l love that water park because it the best water slide and clean water 🔥🔥🔥😀
Rose 80: I MADE MY REVIEW IT WAS DELETED MY NEXT STEP IS TO HAVE THE STATE DO A FULL ON INVESTIGATION..
D Williams: My family had a great time here. This was my first time attending and ive been a resident since the it opened. I was surprised by how clean it was. Guess I did expectuch from Wayne County but they have handled this place well. The lifeguards were on it. There was no getting away with much of anything that shouldn't be happening at a public pool.
Loretta Powell: I love taking my grandchildren to the wave pool and water slide
Danyale Robertson: Clean and nice atmosphere. There were a lot of lifeguards on duty, everyone paid attention to the kid's and knew their job well.
William Hartley: Didn't want to
Gloria Taylor: Peaceful and quiet
Tyrone Webster: You might like It.

Waterford Oaks Waterpark: what do users think?
Eric Ivey: Nice park, bike and walking trails.Very clean
bon kas-mikha: Really nice. Smaller than the Madison Heights location but that's ok. Enjoyed our time there. Nice area to picnic. Restrooms though we're very dirty.
Галя Панева: Искаше ми се да има и басейн за плуване
matthew brodie: So close to home and with the season pass (discounted for county residents), it makes it easy for our family to visit for an hour or all day. The loss of the two slides is a bummer, but still have the wave pool to enjoy, as well as the kids island. Plenty of staff to give you piece of mind that you and your family will be safe.::::2022 Season::: There is no concessions building this year, so pack food and drinks. If you forget, you can leave and re-enter free as long as you get a wristband before exiting.
Eric DiLorenzo: Missed the water slide
Fontain Buchanan: The best of all grandkids love this place
Jolyn Unger: Great place to play in our community!
Kazi Alam: This waterpark is clean and well staffed. They have a good size wave pool, it runs every 20 minutes for 8 minutes. Enough lifeguards to keep eyes on swimmers. The only thing missing is the lazy river. restrooms are clean, overall we had a great afternoon.
Farfasha: I went twice and both time I had fun with my family.
Natalie Bennane: fun besides the water slide being shut down and food not being served
Elena Rodriguez: Amazing place to bring your children to have fun with family and friends
Janelle Auch: Having just been at Red Oaks within the past 10 days, and having an excellent experience there, we were shocked by the sheer rudeness of the Lifeguards at Waterford Oaks. While we acknowledge this isn't an easy job, there is absolutely NO need to speak to people the way that nearly every single guard spoke to both children and adults all day. One of the biggest points of contention is that there is no posted sign that people may not be on the wall to the left of the pool and it is confusing because you are able to be on other areas of the walls. When the Lifeguards would whistle for that particular infraction, most people could not hear them, especially when the waves were running, at the entrance of the pool. Whoever is training these guards has some serious work to do. I overheard countless children and adults alike complaining about the incessant rudeness. Additionally, there is no posted notification on the website that there are no longer water slides at the park and the cost of admission does not seem to be in alignment with the fact that there are only two attractions. Finally, the bathrooms were disgusting despite the park having been closed the previous day and we arrived at opening. Toilets did not flush, messes had been festering seemingly for days, they were dirty and smelly. Really disappointing experience.
Nancy Benedict: Very fun and safe
Stephanie Price: Fun little water park. It would be great if they also had water slides.
F T.: Had a great time with the kids at the wave pool here, lots of fun especially with the tubes! There’s a separate splash area with slides and a structure but is only really for younger kids. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because you have to pay to get in even if you are not participating in the water and are only there to supervise.
Donte Stafford: Daughter and granddaughter loves the wave pool. Bring your coolers with food and drinks because the snack bar is closed. Also bring the life jackets for the little ones if you have them. You can also grill on the premises. Grills are set up around the property. First come first serve.
Cara Livernois: Very good experience. Will be back.
kathleen merz: The playground area needs to be updated. Needs fencing all the way around it with a latch gate, that toddlers can't get open. More safe equipment for kids play on. It's shame I live so close to this park, but it's just not safe playground or that entertaining to take my grandchildren there, I have a autistic grandson that needs to play in a safe environment.
BALA KRISHNAN: Poorly maintained facility, every single activities is broken except wave pool.
Kendra Skronek: Nice and clean. Lots of lifeguards. You can go in and out easily. Tables in the shade were available too.
Matthew Peach: An awesome pool park! They have a great wave pool with lots of seats, and several shaded spots. They have barbecues onsite for you to use.The kids pool has a large area for them to play around. Plus they have lifeguards everywhere! The whole place is very clean.Be sure to get there early, as they often sell out. Bring your coolers but leave any glass and adult beverages at home.

Water Warrior Island: what do users think?
Shannon Kirby: So much fun.
Mikel Miekowski: This place is AMAZINGGGGG!The kids and I always have an absolute BLAST on the Inflatable park, but this year they added the “Slick Slides” and they’ve really outdone themselves! The beach is always clean. The park staff is always extremely helpful, and polite. And the concessions are very moderately priced. If you’re looking for a day at the beach or some cheap thrills 10/10 would Definitely recommend checking out this park!
Ashely Garcia: We had so much fun! I don’t usually review on business but I had to let this place know what a great experience we all had there. There was 28 of us ranging from 2 years of age to 86 years of age. The beach was so big and clean. There is also no seaweed in the swimming areas and Water Warrior attraction areas. Which is a huge plus cause we have been to other inflatable parks in Michigan and their whole area was covered in seaweed it was a bad experience. The staff at Water Warrior Island were so kind and so helpful they had great Lifeguards. I felt so safe on the park with my kids. We got to try out their new slide the launch slide it was the coolest thing we have done all summer. If your family is into extreme activities definitely check out this place and their new slide you fly so high and land in the lake. We are going back next week to go down the slide again and again and again.
Aaron Cary: Had a great time there. I’m so happy they found a great use of a beautiful park. Place is well put together, staff was great, and the organization and safety were absolutely present. Would absolutely recommend as a great day.
Christina Barba: I took a group of 7 people, ranging from 8 years old to 23. Everyone has so much fun! Even the older ones who thought they might be too grown up for it. 😉 Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Great option for birthdays or a family fun day! There are life guards on shore and two actually in the lake so even though I couldn’t really see my kids (that’s the only down side I experienced) I felt comfortable that everyone was safe. Thanks for a great time!
Maria Epps: Were there 8/7/22. I want to say a big THANK YOU to those who organized and work there. We had a blast! For those who is going there at the first time trying to get it all - get ready to a fantastic time, fun, and tons of exercise both for kids and adults! Don't forget the park pass (on your license plate or the link is provided on the tab Tickets so you pay when ordering the tickets online). Bring a lot of water with you to stay hydrated and snacks or food. You can bring charcoal and do kebabs on the beach if you wish. The vests are provided, no need bringing your own. The obstacles are challenging enough but I saw even elders could do it but maybe not all. 😊 Tons of fun! Be prepare to fall into the lake a lot!😄
Erin Grupenhoff: I love this place!!! It was so much fun and everyone that works here is so nice! 10/10 experience would recommend. :)
haley schulz: THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Such a good place to hang out with friends and make memories! Definitely coming back soon!!!
Chy L: I had such a great time here I could go on for hours!!! You get an hour to play on the inflatable water park which is actually a really long time considering you’re using all of your upper body strength to climb these structures. You can also pay for more time if an hour isn’t enough for you. You’re provided with a life jacket which you have to keep on, and there are life guards stationed on all structures which made our group feel safe. The beach is bigger than I expected, and even though it was packed there was still enough space on the beach, and lawn to distance yourself. Make sure you bring your own food and drinks because the snack booth is pricey, and the portions are small. They also don’t have condiments. If you don’t want to go on the inflatable structures they also have kayaking, and paddle boarding which was inexpensive. I can’t wait to come back!!
Jeff Marentis: Great place to cool off. Took 3 kids (8, 12, 12 year olds) and they had a blast on the inflatables. My little one (3yr old) had a good time splashing in the lake and playing in the sand. Good variety in the snack bar. Bathrooms were not too clean. Get there early to grab a spot as the park started to fill up as we got towards the afternoon.
Becky Brown: This was our first time at an inflatable water park, we had lots of fun and it was a great workout! An hour was perfect for us, it gives you time to try out all of the inflatables and go back to your favorites a couple different times. Lake Orion was nice, refreshing, and clean. The only 2 things that swayed me to give a 4/ 5 is the price point seemed a little steep, and we were under the impression that the super slide was open, when it does in open that's going to be an additional fee. Otherwise, I'm happy that we went, fun for all, including our 14 yr old twins. Also, they do have bathroom, shower, and changing facilities!
samsa wordga: I went to Water Warrior few years ago and had a great experience. We decided to go back this year and wow! There park is way bigger way more things to do. We loved it. They even had chicken fries and fries that were to die for at the concession stand. Surprisingly there Hot Dogs were so good my kids ate two of them. I love that they have scooped ice cream too. We will definitely be back for another before summer is over to try the new Slick Slide. This place is so much fun!
Karen Cox: Nice beach for us grandmas, kids loved the island and had a blast. 2-hour session priced higher than Whoa Zone where I've taken them in the past, but closer to home for us. Will definitely be back, but will eat lunch at someplace other than WWI concession stand. Kids did like cheese sticks, chicken fries and fries, but hot dog left a lot to be desired by this grandma.
Timothy Smith: My kids absolutely love it and I do too. It's a great time and a great workout for all! Highly recommended!
Dan Cashman: I’ve taken my son (7yo) multiple times in the last two summers, occasionally bringing one of his friends. We’ve had great experiences every time. The staff are great and friendly, the course is great and well maintained, the food is decent (better than I would expect). They could use lockers, but never had a problem leaving my stuff at the waterfront. Looking forward to the slide. I’d recommend a 2 hour session at least.
elizabeth vasquez: A lot of fun! Really nice staff, clean park.
Gregory: Very nice park and beach. The employees are friendly and patient. Love warrior island very nice for the kids and adults.
Anonymous Girl: I really really enjoyed coming to this park. We had such a good time!! The beach was absolutely beautiful, very nicely maintained, and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. We had a fantastically fabulous day!! And I'm an older mom so if I can do it, so can YOU!!
Rick Miller: Took our family of 6 here to have one last fun day before starting school. Was able to go out on the course with my 9 and 11 year old boys and had a blast. Price was decent, facility was nicely maintained. My 6 year old daughter was too short so rented a tandem kayak and took her around the lake. She had fun but is looking forward to next year when she is big enough. Had a great time "blobbing" the kids out into the water. Was able to shoot them super high. We will be back next year!!!
Lisa M: So much fun!!!!! The water and bathrooms are disgusting though 😬
Lorena Decosio: My son and me had a really fun time. Just as a warning the slides get very hot and give me burns in my legs, I wasn’t the only one that complain while I was there.
