While my first experience wasn't great, I decided to give it another try and visited for lunch. And boy, was I pleasantly surprised!Their mendi, in particular, was incredibly delicious, and the rest of the Yemeni food had an authentic touch to it that made it feel like a true culinary journey. The staff were also incredibly friendly, which added to the overall positive experience.While my breakfast experience wasn't the best, I'm glad I gave Mendi House a second chance for lunch. If you're looking for a delicious and great Yemeni food experience, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.I have started to order takeout from Mendi House as well. Food doesn’t taste great and not worth the money.First I will start the service, we are two people went for dinner last night and when we walkedin there is no one to get us a table, we found a table and waited 15 mins for someone to attend to us. There are 15 tables on the side of restaurant we sat and there is only one person to serve all 15 tables. Finally the guy came to take order- he didn’t ask if we want to drink anything, for the record we weren’t offered water at all throughout dinner. I asked some questions in the menu since it’s my first time . He doesn’t seem like wanna explain anything and barely stood there to talk with us. We digged through the menu and ordered. After 45 mins we got our half order, he forgot some items we ordered. I got hold of him after 15mins and asked about rest of the order and he said i forgot and brought the soup that comes with my order and bread we ordered.Second thing I found hair in my lamb and rice plate. Not just one, 3 or 4. I left my food. And asked about it He refunded for that order from rest of the bill. We couldn’t eat rest of the food after this.Finally i want to say that From the moment we walked in there we felt we are not welcomed. All the time we were there it’s like they don’t want us there. I am feeling sad to tell this but We were treated differently. My friend doesn’t wanna be there anymore and we left.UNSANITARY FOOD, WORST SERVICE ARE ONE THING, TREATING PEOPLE DIFFERENTLY IS WHOLE ANOTHER THING.

We ordered yemen cafe platter for 2 (suggested by their waiter). The lamb and fahsah were very tasty and tender. The service was excellent. Their servers are quick, kind, and prepare orders quickly. The ambiance is very good too. One main highlight was, they also serve free tea which you can drink while waiting for your order and also after food too.Overall the experience was excellent and it is a must try restaurant.

Wyatt Gage: Portion sizes here are MASSIVE, the lamb was particularly excellent. Got the Rashoosh bread and was absolutely blown away by the size of the thing. It absolutely covered the table, got one of the combo plates for 2 and it was enough for 4 people.Grabbing your own can of soda was a bit weird though and there's only one restroom for the whole restaurant.

I was waiting for my cup of tea, and I turned around to look at the writing they had on the wall from the New York Times. and I heard a whistle from the back of my head. So I turned,it was the cashier whistling at me to come and pick up my tea. instead of calling me or come to me. I found that unprofessional, especially in a beautiful place like this.
