I have just started taking riding lessons there and I already can tell this is the right way to go.Update: It’s officially been one year of riding here and I’m so proud of how far I have come, Tracey has helped so much and she’s the best teacher out there! Anne Waldo Stadnik: I've had my horse here for about 8 months and loved it. The turnout is excellent here with huge pastures and small groups. Even during the rainy season it doesn't get too muddy. The horses are well cared for, my hard keeper thrived at this barn! Everything is maintained well, they have a large outdoor and decent indoor for winter riding, and all the other boarders are very friendly and great to ride with as well. No trainers onsite but you can bring your own, they have jumps available too.

Elizabeth Cook: Have had my very high maintenance, older TB here for two years - he looks like a different horse - fat, with a shiny coat and much improved feet. Great tribute feed and he loves the huge fields and grassy turnout. The owners have been very understanding of his quirks and supportive for needed farrier and vet visits. great rideout on the dirt roads and nearby fields and a good group who haul out to the trails.

Chrissy Evanchek: Wonderful place to board your horse. I've been here for almost 2 years and have now boarded two of my horses here. There is plenty of turnout and the horses are turned out in small groups in well cared for & well maintained grass pastures. The owners also take great care in trying to find quality hay and do a hay analysis each year. I struggled with my horses weight & overall condition for YEARS until I moved to Windy Ridge.The barn environment is nice and quiet and the horses are kept in a routine. There is no lesson program on site but you can bring in your own trainer. Very nice outdoor and indoor to ride in. You can also ride down the dirt road. Definitely would recommend, my horses have thrived here.

Erin Hahn: Very poor experience here. The owner was uncommunicative and unresponsive to my basic requests for my horse, and ultimately kicked me out after I advocated for my horses needs.Just one example, we agreed before I moved in that my horse could have a stall by the door, with the door left open at night, except in cases of bad weather. He has a history of heaves and develops a bad cough quickly after being in a stuffy barn. This farm does not offer pasture board, which is what I usually prefer. She agreed to keep the door open, saying it would be no problem because no other horses were in that section of the barn. I noticed my horse developing a cough, and I started coming out in the evenings, only to find that the barn door was closed every night. I respectfully expressed my displeasure and asked to find a compromise, to the response "Sometimes doors need to be closed. The other horses could freeze to death." 1) It was literally summer, and 2) there were no other horses in this part of the barn, with a closed door connecting the other section. This is just one example of her complete disregard for my most basic requests, and her inability to compromise. I felt she was punishing my horse because she had a bone to pick with me, which is never, ever appropriate.

With the wide variety of options to learn different riding styles, you will also learn to know and understand your horse which is the foundation of your relationship to this fine animal and to become a good rider yourself. It doesn't matter whether you are an absolute beginner or a much advanced rider, you will be accommodated very well here. And if you own a horse and are looking to board, this would be your best choice for Gerry takes care of ALL the horses she owns and boards, as though they were her own children!

Lisa Dibble: My son has been taking lessons here for 3 years now. He's made great progress and feels comfortable on riding with Cowboy or English saddles, and bareback. Miss Gerry is fantastic and is able to offer lessons that combine humor with information in a way that is easily accessible to her students. We've also participated and their summer camp where campers ride horses for 4 hours over the course of the day and I've had nothing but glowing reviews at every pickup.
