Theresa Sadowski Moore: Two weeks ago I came in for a haircut with Ranya Kandah. I was having major surgery and wanted to survive without looking like yuk. Ranya is an amazing cutter! She took my thin, fine hair and gave me a wonderful livable style. Now that I am back on my feet, and am able to hold a hairdryer, I look amazing! Anyone can cut and style in the salon - the true test is what you look like days later when you are on your own, Ranya is the best!

Tisha Villanueva: Allyson did a great job on my color retouch. She put pomade on my skin to prevent color staining. She put a towel around my neck to prevent water getting on my clothes. You would be surprised at how many stylists don’t do that. Also, she is fast. No sitting in the chair for hours. You are in and out. I highly recommend her.

Anmol Dixit: I went in for a full hair colouring treatment and all they did was use a toner and charged me for extra toner and called that full head hair colouring. I don’t understand. My student provider was very sweet and helpful but the instructor did not communicate well. All this while, I had this understanding that this was an “add on” treatment.I don’t understand why they would charge me for full head hair colour application plus toner and then not apply colour to a single strand of hair.After this comment, I reached out to them and the receptionist said that she would talk to the instructor and the student and get back to me the next day.Its been more than ten days and still no response. :/Please don’t leave reply on google here to show that you’re concerned about the situation and then take no action or have any response. It is unprofessional.

I was greeted warmly and promptly with no issues at all with the walk in. I waited for like 2 min then a really nice lady called me to her chair and sprayed my hair down , cut off the ends , made pleasant conversation and $20 later (+ tip , always tip)!! I was on my way.

Pipe Club: I worked here 7 years ago before I left the state. I am leaving a positive and honest review to help them out. A lot of people that were there when I was are still there. They did not hire me the first time I applied because I needed to beef up my skills. I came back improved a year later and got the job. I was trained in cosmetology but discovered I was a barber at heart. Matt and his father graciously trained me to gain those skills. No business is perfect and things we don't plan to happen happen. I had different views and had run into the usual workplace drama, but we were eventually able to work it out and things were smoothed over the best it could have been and I left on good terms. I see a lot of the same people are there, and I will say they take their time more than any place for that price range no matter what city or state you are in. I payed the same for a haircut down here and it was bad. I have to pay double what CB charges to find someone to care enough and pay attention to what they are doing. Matt is great at barbering and cosmetology cuts, and has always put his customer's requests first. He does what he can to have the whole shop work that way. Not all customers are easy no matter what business you are in, and from time to time someone will just not be happy, and the critical review isn't always wrong, but I know for the most part this place tries very hard to make their customers happy. With any business sometimes people can get a little bloodthirsty when leaving critical feedback. I know they will try to make it up to any customer that is unhappy, even the ones that are a pain in the culoo. There were times I did not talk to people and later regretted. I was corrected for that. There were times I talked too much lol. My personality was completely different than those there, but in the end I appreciated they worked with me and gave me some solid training where I learned how to be better at cutting hair at any previous institution I worked/trained at. With that said, if you are looking for a decent cut for a highly reasonable price, especially considering what is charged in that town, it's worth giving them a chance. I included the good, bad and ugly so this review will be recognized for it's honesty and integrity.

Max Mendez: I went in to get a tiny trim and have the back of my hair faded. The hairdresser shaved my sideburns without asking. I asked for her to cut the tips a little bit, but cut off about an inch. Again, did not ask for specifics, just did what she thought was right. Now, my hair doesn't frame my face well at all. The back of my hair was good, but she didn't shave off enough off of my neck. I do not like writing critical reviews, but I'm sad and embarrassed about this haircut. I was hesitant, but wanted my hair looking fresh. It was overpriced, especially because I didn't get the style I wanted. I wish I could get at least a partial refund. At least two of the stylists were not wearing masks, either. With the uptick in cases, it would seem logical to wear them. The hairdresser was nice, but I wouldn't go back. My review is meant to be honest about my visit, not meant to shade anyone. My advice is to always check in with the customer before cutting what you may instinctively think is best.Service:Haircut

Emma Paprocki: Above and beyond! Last minute called to come in for a little face framing highlight. I got Abbie and she was super sweet. The teachers were so nice and they stayed after hours so finish my hair. I greatly appreciate it and love their atmosphere.

Colleen Eichelberger: Small school located behind JJ's Barbershop. The students do a great job, and the price is right! Expect to spend a little longer in the chair as they are learning but it's worth the time.

Heather Armstrong: Took my 14 year-old daughter and 4 year-old niece to CRAFT EDUCATION for some girl time. I had full color and partial highlights done. My daughter had full highlights done. We both loved how our hair turned out. They gave my niece a “Little Mermaid” themed manicure. She was thrilled! The girls were kind and professional and their instructor kept a close eye on them to be sure they were doing everything correctly. It took a little longer than it would’ve at a salon, but the savings were well worth it. I’ll be going back!

He was very nice and stood behind his cuts. Which is great. However, he operates freehand with his clippers. One clip took off an awkward chunk of hair on my head. Sure—I could’ve come back and he would’ve adjusted it (maybe?). But unfortunately I’d rather start with NOT having the barber do this. Maybe a fluke, for sure, but not for me.

Crystal is skilled with the scissors and clippers, giving you the cut and style you ask for, as long as you communicate with her what you want. She's funny and quick witted, which both make for great conversation while she's cutting. She's also able to "read the room" when you may not want to talk, which is ok, too. Come prepared to find out the latest at all University of Michigan athletics, maybe even see a few athletes and coaches too. Only place I would ever go to get my haircut (even if I don’t have that much anymore). Let the legacy continues!

Matthew: My most recent haircut with Coach and Four was of poor quality, extremely unprofessional, and not on time. The owner (James) was running 20 minutes late, and when I finally sat down he attempted to complete a fade in a world record time. The owner clearly does not take pride in his haircuts and it was obvious he didn't care about mine. He completed my haircut in about 10 minutes and then proceeded to up-charge me on my haircut because I had mistakenly selected the "buzz cut option" when I initially signed up for an appointment. When questioned why I was receiving an up-charge and why my haircut was so rushed, he refused to take any accountability, even though he was 20 minutes behind schedule to begin with. James clearly did not put the needs of the customer first. Needless to say I will never be going back to Coach and Four, and if you value getting a decent haircut in a professional setting you should look elsewhere.

Detroit Fordite: This Beauty school has amazing instructors and it shows in the Quality of work performed by the the students. The students are carefully guided when performing and perfecting their salon technique. The products used during your service are the same as you would receive in a expensive salon but the costs for services are far below salon costs. Your not only doing something special for self ,but helping a student on the path to their career in cosmetology.
