Jennifer Spencer: In May of 2021 I contracted Superior Landscape Companies to complete an outdoor patio and install an Egress window. The project was mostly completed in mid to late July; however, not 100% complete.During the course of the project, my sump pump drain line needed to be moved from the original location.Upon moving the line, workers under the supervision of Superior Landscape Companies, broke the existing line requiring the line to be replaced. In order to replace the line, a section of drywall in my basement had to be removed. The drywall was subsequently replaced. However, the drywall was not restored to its original condition and still, to this day, requires mudding, taping, and painting.This issue has been brought to their attention on numerous documented occasions through emails, text, and a legal letter notice and yet the work still remains unfinished. They also refuse to provide me with the receipt and warranty documents for my egress window they installed. Because they lost money on my job, they are saying I owe them more money.Final payment for the project was tendered on 07/29/2021. The final payment amount was confirmed by their sales representative. Final payment was noted on the check. The check was cashed the same day, and no further correspondence regarding any outstanding amount was sent or communicated to me until I demanded the work be completed in November of 2021, in excess of 90 days after cashing my check.I reported them to the BBB but Superior Landscape Companies did not respond to the complaint. They have many bad reviews. I wish I would have researched feedback about them before letting them touch my yard.

Ryan Daugherty: Called to order 10 yards of topsoil in the afternoon for delivery the following morning. Easy order process and the office staff were efficient. The driver showed up on time at 8:30am and unloaded perfectly onto the spot I marked in the driveway. The soil quality was excellent, zero rocks or debris. Dark color, high quality soil. Mostly sandy loam with very minimal clay. Easily the best quality soil I’ve ever had delivered. Price and delivery fees were reasonable.Well done Superior, happy customer here! Looking forward to buying again. If you’re shopping for bulk material delivery, this is the place to call.

Johanna Griest: First off, I can't speak for their landscaping services. Maybe they're fantastic. But they don't have the attitudes to match. Their staff thinks it's acceptable to block literally every single pump at a gas station (all 20 pumps) with their truck and trailer rigs and loiter in the parking lot while just a few fill up. I drive a 28' trailer on the weekends. I get it, it can be hard to find places to park and gas stations big enough to fill up in, but there was more than ample space to have parked elsewhere at this location. That behavior is unacceptable, especially from a business.I arrived with 0 miles of range and just enough time to fill up before work. The amount of unnecessary anxiety this incident caused me was completely uncalled for. If you're going to support ignorant and inconsiderate behavior from your employees, I suggest requesting they do it in vehicles without your logo pasted everywhere.

Chris Morgan: I had a load of gravel and sand delivered. Friendly front office staff and friendly dump truck driver (Tom), who arrived on the schedule I requested! I got the material within days of ordering.

Murugesan V: Superior Nursery planted more than 50 arborvitae trees for us, the crew was friendly and planted the trees as we wanted them. We were also able to pick the trees at the nursery to be planted. When there was a miscommunication between the crew and the office staff, the office staff (Kim) listened to our concerns and resolved them immediately. Highly recommend this place! We would definitely go back if we need any landscaping work in the future.

Jo Cook: I called Superior Wholesale Landscape Supply & Nursery after spending two weeks looking for topsoil. No one else in the area had any or they weren't able to deliver it within the next two weeks. I called Superior Wholesale on a whim and two hours later I had 5 cubic yards of topsoil/compost in my driveway. I have to say, it is the darkest, richest looking soil I have seen. I am so very happy that I called this company and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Work is not great with holes in the sod laid, sprinklers installed on the neighbors property, and several dead trees planted which he said at the time he would replace if they didn't live. It has been over a year and I have yet to get any replacement trees. Do not support this terrible company

Holiday Outdoor Services Inc. hunt: After 20 years of doing this type of work I finally found a supplier that treats us like we're important, like our business really matters to them. Fletcher an Rickard supply always seems to have the better quality stuff, to this point I have yet to buy mulch with weeds in it, and at least regarding their Brownwood mulch it is lighter and much easier to work with$$ then their competition. If you load up in the morning and are tired of spending an hour plus, hung up at your landscape supplier?, just an fyi they get you in and out quick ...... good people

Chady Elhage: My father ordered firewood from here so this review is for him. The delivery date kept changing and we had to keep calling to follow up and reschedule. When the wood was delivered, it was NOT seasoned as promised (wood doesn’t burn) and only 42 sq ft out of 64 sq ft was received. We called back several times and were promised to receive the rest and have not heard anything at all.

She offered only one day that they were available and had a negative attitude. They were going to add a $75 fee on top of normal winterazation charges because I was late. After telling her I had to check my husband's work schedule, she just hung up. My perception of this company: higher than average cost for no good reason, poor customer service and limited tech availability. I was easily able to find an alternate vendor that accommodated our service request at expected costs.

The guys running this place are rude, short, and totally unprofessional. I had an issue with my order and asked to speak to a manager. They put someone on the phone that after asking several times "are you the manager?" He would neither confirm nor deny, but kept repeating "you can talk to me". He was short and didn't even want to hear what I was saying. I kept telling him I wasn't calling to argue but rather offer advice on how they could make things easier for their customers. He just kept talking over me and was not at all receptive . Don't waste your time OR have a man make the call, maybe they don't like advice from women? If so, they should do a better job so I don't have to give it.UPDATE: Exactly the denial response I expected. Notice most of the positive reviews were given by men. Believe what you want. As these guys stated in their response..."there are plenty of other options". Choose one to save yourself the hassle. I DID say I was a customer, but that didn't matter.

G Nutter: I’ve been using Suburban for 8 years. Their delivery has always been top notch and good prices. They dump gravel while moving to make it much easier to spread on my driveway. This year (2021) the top soil they delivered was about 1/3 gravel 2/3 dirt (see pics, those are rocks not little dirt clumps). They also make you sign a waiver about the topsoil. One of my neighbors I was talking to said they had the same issue with their topsoil from Suburban. The grass I planted using it only grows in patches because some areas don’t have enough dirt to support growth. This is why they only get 3 stars. I will have to find a different place to get my topsoil, but they’ll still be my go to for other landscaping supplies.

3rd Class: Very professional took care of what I needed

Jason R.: About a week ago, I ordered a lot of mulch (35 yards) for my house from Suburban Landscape Supply. I placed the order over the phone, and Suburban Landscape Supply delivered all 35 yards to me the same day in two separate deliveries because it was such a large volume that it required two trucks. The delivery driver was great and dumped it exactly where I wanted.The overall quality of the mulch is probably an A-/B+ or so. It was shredded well and contained almost no trash or debris. I saw zero garbage wood or pallets; it was all good quality mulch. The sole reason for my slightly-lower than a full “A” grade is because there were many sticks in the mulch, but that is not the worse thing in the world.I’ve ordered mulch many times over the years from a variety of landscape companies, and this was by far the best quality mulch that I have received. Going forward, I will only be ordering mulch from Suburban Landscape Supply. Excellent experience!!

Ryan Perry: Never ordered mulch before. They made it quick and easy on the website, delivered when they said they would, and the driver was very nice. He got all of the mulch exactly on the tarp I had laid out in the driveway. Very happy with the service and price!

Janet Thatcher: Ordered 2 yards of top soil and it was nothing but chunks of dirt and small rocks and stone in it. The only thing good was the price.

Joshua Budden: Got ten yards of top soil and it was not good. All rocks even though it was said to be sifted. Could barely level it properly it was so bad. That said delivery was easy and in time just poor quality product.

Beth Frey: Updating my previous review from 2 stars to 4. I was contacted by Mark and he wanted to make sure I was satisfied and offered and delivered 2 yards of peat to add to my soil. That kind of customer service is appreciated and valued and will make me a return customer.I purchased 5 Yards of their advertised “premium” garden soil for my flower bed. What I received is full of clay, very compacted heavy dirt. Not what I consider ideal garden soil for a flower garden and with a lot of $$ spent on flowers waiting to be planted I had no choice but to put them in the ground. I’m hoping that money spent and a lot of work is not all for nothing. I will probably have to spend even more time and $$ on soil amendments to try and improve the quality of the CLAY They delivered.

He explained that there were issues with obtaining good soil lately, but none-the-less offered a prompt solution. This was not necessary as it was our misunderstanding, and unexpected. Thank you very much Mark!Original:Incorrect information.Just wanted compost. Recommended this garden soil mix. Verbally was told the mix was 50/50 topsoil/compost. Cool. Instead, website shows it is mixed with peat. And from the look of my raised beds, dried peat. This soil does not hold moisture (nature of dried out peat). Day of delivery rained, heavy soil... next day, extremely dry and rocky. There is also mixture of sand (large chunks that had to be broken down) along with clay dirt chunks (also needed to be broken down). Still large chucks that need to be broken down. And because of intervals between the rain and lack of moisture retention, I have created cement lots in my 3 raised garden beds.Will need to re-amend soil to be able to retain moisture with true compost and mulch. Not sure if this is even possible. Will lose the crop I planted, in order to do this. Cannot recommend the garden soil for a vegetable garden.Shame on us for not being thorough and clear. Take this as a warning. Make sure you know soil types before ordering and ask for someone knowledgeable.Otherwise, received on time.
