REI Bike Shop: what do users think?
Sarah Jane Uldricks: This is the only shop I trust with my bike. They're fun to work with and are transparent about what they're going to do.
Michael Bell: Shopping for Mt Bike shoes. Friendly associate found the size needed in a good Shimano shoe. Shoes were also fitted with supportive shoe inserts. In addition, I found a nice swimsuit, plus a clearance priced shirt.THX REI
Jeffery Shively: Great store. Quality items, friendly knowledgeable staff
Richard J: REI is a great store. Always fun to shop there. Quality items and great selection.
Henry Walters: Shop local when possible. Not very helpful.
Chuck Loftis: Commenting anyway. Was not in bike section, just main store. REI Member since there was just one storefront in Seattle. Always a pleasure interacting with knowledgeable and motivated Staff. Worth the while to visit.
Robert Kimberly: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueSean was very helpful. Very satisfied. Definitely coming back for my bike repairs
Alan Keicher: Terrible experience from beginning to end.Obviously REI is a nice place with a knowledgeable staff; but be sure to stay away from their bike repair. There are many other options in the area and I feel dumb for choosing this one.

Wheels In Motion: what do users think?
Lori O'Neil: Employees were knowledgeable and helpful
Juliette Moutinou: Ma
Scott Strodtman: Sales was very friendly and knowledgeable. Have used their shop in the past and have always been satisfied.
Melih Gunal: I received top notch service for my road bike whenever I needed. From tire changes to full service of my bike, the staff has been friendly, courteous and paying attention to my needs. My favorite local bike shop, I highly recommend.
Oluwakemi Johnson: The people here are super nice, helpful, and understanding. I bought a bike seat and a bike rack. They helped me find a rack that suited my needs and fit my bike. Would recommend!
John Ford: I'm probably a more extreme bicycle user than many folks, riding 4,000 miles per year (including all weather, all seasons bicycle commuting) and racing three different bicycling disciplines (cross country, gravel road, and winter fat bike). The fast, friendly, and knowledgeable staff at Wheels in Motion do a wonderful job keeping my three racing bicycles and commuter ready to ride. Wheels in Motion is everything a well run local bicycle shop should be!
Emma Sartwell: I was honestly quite anxious about buying a bike. I've put it off for the last few years because I am embarrassed that I've essentially never ridden before. I didn't know the first thing about choosing a bike. I can hardly even get on one properly. The staff was incredibly helpful and humble. They took time to explain things that I would never have known to ask. I highly recommend this place.
Champagne Bruder: Very knowledgeable staff!
Alfredo Mendoza: Great service to pick up a online buy, and excellent help choosing helmets
Adrienne Haywood: I just bought a second bike for my son at this store. These folks know bicycles and all things bicycle-related. Their bikes are such good quality and their sales and repair staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great 50% trade-in policy if you've bought a bike there before (which I just used successfully), and I can't say enough good things about our sales rep, Rayelle (Rael?) - SO helpful and patient with my million questions. Buying a bike can be a stressful experience - it's a big investment, and I don't know a lot about bikes. But I feel very comfortable knowing that Wheels in Motion is close by for advice and tune-ups and repairs. Some things, like bike safety for my kid, are best left to the experts. Worth it!
D H: Walking into Wheels in Motion, I needed advice for an upcoming road trip, as well as help in making purchases. The clerks were extremely friendly, fun and helpful, guiding me away from unnecessary expenses and guiding toward practical expenses. I am more than pleased with the merchandise, and will certainly make use of this great resource again, for bike servicing, advice and purchases.
Debra Levine: The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend!
Marc-Grégor Campredon: Edit years later:Still and forever five stars. They are so kind and sweet and knowledgeable.Helpful. We are just lucky to have such a great place.Edit Covid19:Still 5 stars from the bottom of my heart. You can order on their website and do a pick up delivery. Not even 24h waiting time for weird / rate items. They do their best over the phone to guide you in your choice if needed. The best of best guys. One of our favorite place in Ann Arbor. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and eager to help. They have a lots of choice with a very good price point. They really do a good job giving you straight answers.5stars no hesitation.
Jeff Fessler: Quick flat tire changes are awesome!
Jerome Beck: Great products and very knowledgeable staff.
Brendon Moss: Greta people.
Patrick Foley: Great customer service! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.
Stani Bohac: Great customer service and selection. Staff are knowledgeable, not pushy, and love all things cycling.
Doug Weber: great local bike shop with two convenient locations on the east side and the west side of Ann Arbor.
Alex & Sophie Erstad: Great price and worked fast for a bike I needed quick
Benjamin Bxb8879: Awesome service!

Sic Transit Cycles: what do users think?
Matthew Spoor: I have been taking my bikes here for more than two years, including my eBike. They are amazing! Their customer service is top notch. It's clear that they care. I have experienced and witnessed numerous occasions where I or someone next to me has brought their bike in to see if anything needed to be done, and was told it's fine. From the owners down to the newest employee, they are five stars. Friendly, competent, trustworthy, accommodating, convenient, and caring are words that come to mind. I am such a fan of this place, I am nearly evangelical when the topic of bike repair comes up in conversations. Do yourself a favor and just go here if you need bike service, parts, or a new bike. You will be happy you did.
Kosta El Greco: Superb service! Everyone is super nice, and extremely knowledgeable. This is one of the oldest bike shops in Ann Arbor, and they know their stuff! They've got a great selection, and excellent service techs. It's great to have such a good resource, especially in the times of covid constraints! Pay them a visit, and you won't be sorry!
Valentin Mozheev: Sad to leave a negative review for local bike shop, had road side break down and was amble to make it home. They refused to do a 20 minute repair in the same day. Please avoid if you need an emergency repair
David Conley: The repair shot is fantastic!! No complaints there! But the retail shop is a bit on the pricier side.Overall very great, friendly and professional staff.
Max Futernick: Had the most amazing experience working with these guys to find a bike I really love. Spent multiple hours over a couple visits running through options on every little detail. I really appreciated how patient they were, and as someone who doesn't know a ton about bikes other than that I love to ride them, I learned a ton of important information along the way that will make my riding even better. There is also zero sales pressure - if something at a lower price point makes more sense, they'll push that. If the juice on an upgrade is worth the squeeze, they'll tell you that too. This will be my bike shop for life.My one gripe is that their one sales person, Noonen, is completely unprofessional. Demanded pets in exchange for service and even raised his voice to bark at a dog passing by. Overall, still a very good boy.
irene serezal gallais: Great place, very nice people
Al Owski: The first person I contacted was Joe who provided me with the info on what they had in stock. I made the 30+ mile trip to Sic and I am glad I did. Mike brought the bike out for me to try, made the adjustments, and let me try it out to be sure it was a good fit. He then helped me select the accessories I needed. Overall, a great buying experience.
Alex Lowe: These are some of the friendliest, most helpful people I've ever had the good fortune to come across. They're inconveniently located for me, but they have absolutely got themselves a loyal customer for all their help yesterday.
Mike: Great bike shop, with helpful staff. Good experience, will return!
scott .cooke: Great experience!! Amazing customer service! Michael and Brooks are a wealth of knowledge and so professional. The guys in the service area were very helpful and accommodating as well. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive from the time you enter the building! Thanks so much guys! Can’t wait for my ride to get in!!
Grant Preves: Great customer service and nice employees! Highly recommend.
Amber Music: Super helpful! I've been a customer for a few years and they've always been able to fix my quick problems on the spot (bigger things they usually get back the next day). They do a great job of making sure everything is 100% before you go back out on the bike.
Mick Taylor: Fantastic Bike store with a really good selection of quality bikes. I came in with a budget and an idea of what type of things I wanted to ride and came out with a Marin Nicasio 2. The Sales Manager Mike was really knowledgeable and treated me great!
Carson Landry: Excellent customer service. They helped me find the right bike for me and patiently answered all my questions. Free service/warranty for a year after purchase really shows that they trust the quality of their work.
Evan Herndon: Great place
Petr Tojsl: I've gone to this shop so many times, and have I ever had a complaint? Nope! The people there are so kind, friendly, and knowledgable. Heck, they even have one of the best bike fitters in the country working there! So if you're anywhere near Ann Arbor and need anything bike related, head to Sic Transit and you will not be disappointed.
Edward Dunne: They are a great place for getting your bike serviced. They do good work and are clear about what to expect. They offer helpful advice, too.
Alexander Eagal: Had a great experience buying a bike here. Mike helped me from start to finish. He told me he'd text me when a bike I was interested in was done being built... and he did! I was delighted. I've had the bike for a month and it's been pure joy.The shop has bikes from All-City, Surly, Marin, Jamis, and Brompton from what I saw. They have all kinds of bikes but I was there for steel and they didn't disappoint. Of course, inventory is a little low right now.
troy satterthwaite: Great bike shop, they went above and beyond when helping me pick a new bike and getting it set up properly for me, being a bigger guy i needed some beefier wheels and wider handle bars and These guys hooked me up. These guys really know their stuff. Best bike shop around.
sicun chen: Thee best bike shop in town 3 Michael is so patient and knowledgeable 💖

Annemarie Kidder: What a good place to have your bicycle tires repaired and to pick up accessories! Joshua did a fabulous job on my bicycle and the head mechanic/ owner had me in and out within an hour with new bell and head light. So reasonable in price too. Will make this my new go-to place. Thank you!
Christopher Hall: Pulled my bike out of storage and found that it needed a new chain and a general tune-up, and Motor City Bicycle was the perfect place to get some service! Jimmy helped me out, and everybody was welcoming, knowledgable, and friendly. I'll definitely be back.
Paul Carrigan: Excellent service, staff extremely helpful and fixed an issue with my new bike on the spot. Large selection of parts/accessories at very reasonable prices.
Deborah Rooks: the manager there a black fella ,slim tall with a bushy hair and pony tail scammed me! he so called fixed my electric bike but the top of the light failed off. the power bank does not work and damaged ,and he admitted now that hes not experienced with electric bikes nor is he an electrician. so why does he put my bike together knowing this is not a regular bike but an electric bike??.
Steve Demers: Called the shop first thing and asked if they could bail me out of my daughter's flat tire she got last night. They told me to bring it right in and Jimmy jumped on it right away even though he had other bikes he was working on. He even adjusted her brakes that were not properly working. Top notch service!
Albin Jalynski: Kid working upfront is not eager to sell a bike. I don't care attitude = my money is going elsewhere
Kosta El Greco: Good selection and helpful staff.
Zack Hale: Can't recommend this place enough. The guys here have been extremely accommodating and reasonable when it comes to service and advice.
Justin: Super friendly helpful staff. Never any stress and always willing to help.
Dora Diaspora: This is the only place I will take my bike. The mechanics know exactly what they're doing and have a deep and sincere passion for bikes. They offer a wide variety of tools and supplies, on-the-spot repairs, and are always happy to give advice or discuss bike parts. Great service.
Cody Rowden: Love this bike shop! Great service, Johnathan is the man!
Abraham Answer: Great expert advice about on and off road bicycles, accessories and apparel. Quick on the spot service and clean bathrooms.
Bradley Mack: I had my bike serviced here as other area stores did not have the parts in stock. I was elated with the customer service I was provided. This may be my new bike store based on the customer service just the same and I spied a new bike I must have.

Campus Student Bike Shop: what do users think?
John Llewellyn: This place has been a well-known ripoff and swindle ring for decades. I took my bike there for a tuneup. They “steam cleaned” it, charged me 3x the estimate and the bike rusted into an unusable ferric mass within days. Does your bike suck? If not, it WILL if you bring it here. Total crooks. #ripoff
Will Drunkenstein: Relatively simple disk-break adjustments, and the employee maintained that my bike is not serviceable. Motor City Bicycle in comparison, gave me my options in 5 minutes, and got the brake cables and brake pads swapped and tested in under 40
Katalin Aranyos: Hi everyoneThis shop is awesome,Afai, who is doing service there, is very kind and quick to repair the bike. Another thing is that the service price is very fair. I have sent five of my friends to this store so far... I hope Mr. Farhad will always be successful
Emily Rumstadt: The owner of this shop did not help me when I asked for help with my tires, he sat behind the table and shouted directions at me to use the tools he had lying around.
keri fenton: 1 star only because 0 wasn't an option. I rented a bike with low air pressure, so I put air in the tires and was practically reprimanded because "he had just put air in that tire". I told him that if he had just put air in it then there was a problem because that tire was really low. I ended up returning the bike after maybe 3 hours because the gears shifted inconsistently and when they did shift they would skip gears and the chain came off twice. I told him how the bike was performing and was bluntly informed that the girl who returned it said it was fine. No refund offered, no discount. He just dug his heals in that nothing was wrong with the bike. 100% waste of money and a major bummer for my only free afternoon in Ann Arbor.
K D: Bought a mountain bike here for $250, it broke on the third ride, shop refused to refund it and instead offered to repair it for $80.
Eric Gan: This place is the absolute worst - avoid at all costs. Every time I've gotten service from here I'm pretty sure I was grossly overcharged, and furthermore there has always been at least one new thing that was slightly wrong with my bike afterwards (which the shop had the gall to charge me again for the new repair). I also once came in well before closing time to pick up my "repaired" bike and was refused to be helped by the older man working there because he was too busy "closing up shop."The only reason why I come here is because I don't have a car and this is the only bike shop within walking distance from my house when I have a flat. If you are able to get to Sic Transit Cycles, go there instead for literally any type of service. This bike shop is a prime example of why geographic monopoly power is bad for consumer welfare.
Vijay Ravi: The store lady was stoned. She didn't know how to differentiate between hybrid and mountain bikes. The other old man was tripping as well with her.
C N: Horrible experience. Wish I checked here before going:(
IDLE SLAM: Awful! Will scam you for every dollar with a 500 % markup. Put the cheapest parts possible on my bike & charged insane prices - the “tune up” was a joke. Some places are just awful.. this place is one of them.Zero stars should be an option in rating.
Jordan Solano-Reed: Significantly overpriced, extremely rude, and incorrect repairs fraught with scamming for additional repairs. There’s multiple other excellent shops around town, who will do correct repairs for a legitimately fair price.
Benjamin Vassar: Got the tune up job done
Blake Karwoski: The owner was able to diagnose and fix a problem with my front wheel (a bent axle), and did so with less than a day's turnaround and for a reasonable price.
David Truex: Voicemail says open until 5pm, website says open until 5pm. Called ahead to try and reserve a bike because I was coming in from Atlanta, Georgia. Person I spoke with said they would be open and available so he wouldn't let me reserve. Showed up at 430 and got greeted by a sign stating that they changed hours and closed at 4. This is absolutely unacceptable to not update the information on the voicemail, Google maps website OR inform people that hours have changed. I drove over 11 hours under the guarantee that this shop would be open and have bikes. No wonder this shop has such a terrible rating of this is the quality of "service" they provide.
curtis leipold: Close at 4 pm not 5 pm
Hannie Wang (涵少年): I went to them because all other bike shops were having service queue for weeks long. Surprisingly they did the maintenance job just fine. Fast(I got my bike the next day) and for a reasonable price.
Kevin & Trent Stephens: Took both of my bikes in for a tune-up and when I got them back it felt like a brand new bikes! They were very friendly at the counter and it was done the next day. I would definitely recommend them. They were the cheapest in town from my research of other bike shops in the area.
Matthew Guiang: Went in to fix a broken chain, they told me it would be $15 to fix the old chain and $22 to just get a new one. So I got a new one. When I went back to pick it up, they rang me up for $40 saying the quote didn’t include labor.Would not come back again.
Andrew Lovett: It was closed when I showed up. Waited around for 10 min after opening time. Lost my business.
Noah Kaczor: Refused to help
Lane Wollerton: There are a lot of negative reviews on here, but I can only speak to what I experienced which is that the store owner was extremely helpful when I walked in and needed some quick repairs done. He diagnosed everything immediately, and I found the labor and prices for parts to be extremely reasonable. He's owned the store for decades; this is a true Ann Arbor local business. I plan to return for all my bike repairs and maintenance needs.

Wheels In Motion West: what do users think?
Melissa Kennedy: The staff here is always kind, solutions oriented and provides wonderful advice.
Brett Vanderwerff: I got a quote here once and both a quote and service at another time. I think it's the manager, whoever look like they were in charge was kind of no nonsense with his assessments. Super knowledgeable and helpful. Would get service here again.
Baylen Springer: Staff here is fantastic. Kind and helpful. Great customer experience every time.
Bo W: Mike and Logan were so professional, were right on what I needed for my bike. Great service I will come back!
Bobak Bakhtiari: Very swift and efficient bike purchase experience. Ian’s like a ninja with bike intel and recommendations. He made California bike shops seem like they’re run by lousy drunk interns. And he even kept the store open longer because I was playing Patty cakes with my alter ego and was a bit indecisive. Very excited about my new bike. I hope I don’t die.
Joe Litak: I have had my bike in here twice for service. I chose this location mainly because the turnaround time quoted was much shorter than other shops in the area. They also helped me identify a clunky sound my bike was making that had me completely stumped but the fact they took the time to figure it out was nice.
Alan Kushman: Great store!!! I bought a new bike from this store a few weeks ago the the knowledge they have is amazing, they put me on the bike I was looking for plain and simple, could not be happier. I also brought a bike for service they found the issue and fixed it for a very reasonable price. Also they gave me a twenty dollar coupon for purchasing a new bike. This will be my bike shop from now on.
Alex H: Came in here for bike shoes and tubes was immediately helped by both staff. Logan walked me through making sure shoes fit right was out in under 30 minutes. 5 stars will be back.
Patrick Larkin: Pure awesomeness. There's a reason they have been in business since 1933.
R.J. Meske: I have been a WIM customer for years and I can't say enough about the level of service and communication they provide. The new shop on the West side of A2 is small compared to their flagship store, but the service is outstanding. The manager always takes time to listen and is a fantastic mechanic. Even with the substantial increase in demand during the COVID-19 pandemic, they still provide a personal experience and treat you like you are their only customer.
Steven Deutch: Bike shops are highly dependent on the attitude and knowledge of the people who work there and the management culture. I have found Wheels in Motion to be among the best in this regard. Took my Trek Checkpoint in for brake service at this new Wheels in Motion location on Jackson Rd and Ian did a great job setting up my bike. My bike actually stops better than I was hoping.
Curtis Williams: Warm weather is around the corner and if you want to get your bikes tuned up or if you are new to cycling you won’t find a better bike shop than Wheels In Motion to get you ready for the season. Family owned and operated since 1933. There sales and service staff are very knowledgeable and can help you with all your cycling needs. For those of you on the Westside you can visit the new Westside location on Jackson road. If you are interested in cycling with a club or racing with a team WIM has both. They also support the WIM MISCA student cycling team which is a great way to get your kids involved in cycling.
brennansquad: Went in to get bike boxed for shipment out of state. Ian, store manager and exceptional staff, went above and beyond to meet my needs as I am very particular about my cycles. Will be back soon. Thanks

Fitmi!: what do users think?
Eric Cook: Can I really only post 5 stars? I'd do 10 if I could... Maxine spent so much time with me and my bikes, I don't know where to begin. Short answer is if you are thinking about a fitting to get the most out of your love of cycling and make sure you're in the best position to maximize comfort, output, and your efficiency just do it. You won't be disappointed. It was pretty amazing watching someone that truly is at the top of her game as an expert in what she does and the genuine passion for helping her clients get the most out of their time on the bike. Her understanding of cycling, all the different bikes models, the various components, different types of riding styles, etc. and how they all impact one another is something that I've never experienced before (but I'm so glad I did). This is one of the best investments I've made in myself in a long time. I'm looking forward to the long-term benefits of my decision for years to come. Thank you so much, "Max." You really do rock! 🤘
Amy Beaulac: Great experience! So happy with my new fit. Worth the 9 month wait.
Aundrea Cole: I have never had a bike fit before! What is a bike fit?I have been told to get a bike fit from my teammates for many years but due to lack of funds, lack of time and just lack of confidence in the process and the benefits it could give me I put it off and ignored the advice. I WAS WRONG. I went to see Maxine at in the early months of this season's training when I have been riding indoors on a trainer consistently once a week. After my fit I increased my mileage by about 2 miles to a workout I've done before and after my 1.5 hour ride I felt ready and fresh for my typical 2 miles run and beat my pace! What is a bike fit? Maxine asked me about my riding style, my training style, what am I training for and how often do I ride. She asked about any injuries I've had in the past (broken bones, soreness that occurs while I ride, etc). She then did a sort of physical and noted how I stand, how my feet bare weight and rest with no weight. Next we got on the bike, she took some video of how I look now and could tell right away what key points may be a good start. During this process we started with the handle bars, we adjusted the width, drop, angle, etc. Next we reviewed and tried different seats looking for one that doesn't pinch in any places and is a good cushion type for me all while adjusting the height, width from handle bars and tilt. Finally we reviewed the pedals. A few targets were used to see how my legs stay (or in my case, don't stay) in a straight line and adjusted my cleats accordingly and made suggestions for bike shoes as none in the shop worked for me.In the end I left with almost a brand new bike. New handlebars, a new seat and recommendations for shoes and inserts to finish the final adjustments to give me the best ride. I no longer get pain at the tops of my knees and am able to ride faster and yet feel better and ready for the next thing. If this is your first bike fit and anticipate similar changes may be suggested I would recommend budgeting an additional $200-$300 to pay for the parts replaced. If you let Maxine know you have a budget you are needing to stay in she will do her best to make suggestions that fit within it and always provides reasons behind a certain brand or type she is suggesting.About Maxine: she is so passionate about her job and cycling and it is hard not to enjoy your time there and feel at ease while getting the bike fit. I will be going to her again when I need to make any adjustments to my forever bike or if I get a new one.
Dylan Hand: Incredible experience! Jess is an exceptional person, genuine, and truly cares about the rider/fit/bike synergy. Thank you!
Nicholas Brigham: I had a great experience at my bike fit. Max is professional and kind and I came away with a much more comfortable bike. I was unsure about the value of a bike fit before I went to my appointment but it was definitely worth it. I would recommend Max and FitMi to anyone.
Jeff Johnson: I went to FitMi after struggling with back pain and saddle discomfort. Jess was very knowledgeable and experienced. She got me comfortable on the bike again! I cant wait for warmer weather. I can't thank Jess enough, and highly recommend everyone get their position looked at.
John Thome: Max (Jessica) is the absolute best. Friendly, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about everything there is to know about bike fit. Highly, highly recommended!
Tim Fox: Spent a fantastic morning with "Max" getting what I think was the best fit since coming back to the bike, seems many "fitters" can make you feel ok on the bike but few have the patience and insight to look and listen and get it so right !!!!!Before and after is incredibleEasier Breathing, higher Cadence, MORE POWER, far more power to fatigue, and I'm comfortable thruout a 5 hour ridesi.ply the best
Jeffrey Reichel: Exceeded every expectation by several kilometers! Jessica at Fitmi! provides an unparalleled level of customer service, technical knowledge and compassion in her fittings. If you are on the fence about a bike fit, stop what you are doing immediately and schedule an appointment at Fitmi! I only wish I would have done this years ago. Seeing Jessica sooner could have saved me tons of money and many "hot footed" rides. Well worth the visit. Cheers to THE BEST!
Tom Cansfield: I had a dynamic bike fit done at Fitmi with Jess and cannot recommend this place enough. I have been in the market for a gravel bike for the past year of so and wanted to have an expert's opinion before I made the purchase. During the two hour fitting session, body measurements were taken for arms, torso, inseam, feet, and sit bones which gave a rough fit for the bike. Afterwards, Jess dialed in the fit to accommodate my needs and I was left with a bike fit optimized for endurance (my biking goal). Besides the fitting, I was able to try out a variety of components (crank arm length, saddles, etc) and was provided with a list of optimal bikes. Overall, this was a great experience and will make sure to come back for additional fits in the future.
James Rozsypal: Went into FitMi last week to get my new new Lake MX238's knee aligned and equipped with some custom heat molded insoles. Safe to say it's some of the best money I've spent on bike kit. Jess not only provided a superb customer experience, but she also turned my already comfy 238's into some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned with the "angel wing" Masterfit insoles. Can't wait to put in tons of miles wearing these shoes, thanks Jess!
A. Trabilsy: Jess is simply the best! What do you get when you combine a true bike nerd and passionate scientific-based bike fitting?? Answer: one of the best customer service experience I've ever received. From start to finish, I was impressed and entertained with Jess's knowledge, whit, and genuineness. The changes made to my bike and riding position have truly made cycling long distances significantly more comfortable and enjoyable.
Ryan Macko: A fitting from Jess here is a way better investment than any carbon frame or wheels, but if you get fit then buy light parts that's an easy way to the podium. I couldn't believe how much of a difference the fit made and if I could do it over again I would have been fitted years ago when I started getting serious into biking. She is professional, knows exactly what she is talking about, and was a pleasure to work with. I am absolutely recommending her fitting service to everyone I come across and will be back for my future bikes.
mike frank: I’ve had the pleasure of working with fitmi twice. First time for my road bike and the second time for a brand new custom bike. I’m 6’4, I’ve had neck and back surgery and I ride long distances and started doing triathlons. Fitmi fitted me, worked with Seven Bicycle and I now have the dream custom perfect bike. The entire experience was exceptional. Many thanks and kudos
Alex Ralston: I went into my bike fit with Jess as a novice rider, quite nervous about the experience and not knowing what to expect. I'm pleased to say that she not only immediately set those fears at ease but I now feel so much more comfortable with and connected to my bike. I would give 6 stars if it were an option. I can't wait to put these adjustments to the test!Just check the pics to see the improvement. Left pics are before. Hands going numb, humpbacked, glutes struggling. After pics show a guy who's comfortable on his bike without pain and ready to throw down big watts.
Stephanie Kolb: I had the absolute privilege of working with Jess to adjust my road bike. I'm a newer triathlete and received many recommendations to have a professional bike fit with her as I have been very uncomfortable during rides since I acquired the bike despite it being the right size. I had a few ideas as to what was causing the issues but Jess made some completely different observations and suggestions for adjustments that I would have never considered that created an immediate improvement in my discomfort. She spent such a generous amount of time working with me and payed so much attention to every detail. Jess is a true expert in her field and it's no wonder she is so highly sought after. Thanks a million Jess!
Erin Pons: I always know I’m in good hands when I see Jess. I’ve been on a journey to find the perfect fitting Tri bike after racing exclusively on my road bike (all of our family bikes have been fitted by Jess!) Each time I go into the studio (the brand new one is gorgeous by the way!) Jess continues to show her depth of knowledge and experience, and most importantly her client-centric focus. Even after presenting a few Tri bikes that were just too large for me (5’2 frame) Jess took extra time to size me on her special contraption so I went away with exact measurements as well as a list of bikes to try next time around. After all of her recommendations, countless emails, and attention to detail, I have finally found the bike for me, and can’t wait to go back in to FitMi and get my new Tri bike road ready. Thanks to Jess for patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude over the years to keep us comfortable and safe on our bikes!
Laurie Kelly: Jess's bike fittings are life-changing. Not an exaggeration. She has fitted me for my tri roadbike twice. She is insanely qualified, creative, patient and takes great pride in getting you a perfect fit, making sure you are comfortable and effective, whatever that takes. She listens without judgement or jumping to conclusions. I can tell her "i know this is weird but.." and she listens with empathy and won't stop tweaking things til she makes it right. I suffered from severe SI joint pain and long rides were excruciating. My Dr sent me to Physical Therapy, then two rounds of SI Joint injections at a pain clinic. I saw Jess - she said "You're crooked. Your pelvis is twisted, crooked and you're all out of alignment, that's the root of your problem." I went straight to a chiro who confirmed with Xrays I was a twisted crooked mess and one leg was nearly an inch shorter because of it. I learned stretches and worked with my chiro and within months I was pain-free for the first time in years. JESS - MY BIKE FITTER EXTRAORDINAIRE - FIGURED OUT WHAT DOCTORS COULD NOT! I finished my first Ironman 70.3 in September 2021, and I couldn't have done it without Jess's amazing fit skills. Forever grateful.
Matt Hole: I have now had two fittings with Jess. She is great at what she does. My first bike fit I went in and she made adjustments to my cleats, seat height, fore/aft, stem in a more aggressive position, and gave me arch support insoles. Before seeing her I would get back pain about an hour or an hour and half into a ride. The day after I went for a ride and felt so good that I kept going and ended completing my longest ride ever (158 miles). After this ride I felt better than if I went for a 30 mile ride before getting the fitting.Jess is great to work. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, and explains everything to you as she goes along.I have recommended her to multiple people and everyone I sent was extremely please with their results as well. This is one of the best investments you can make if you are into cycling. I highly recommend her to anyone, and will be going back when I get a new bike.
Joseph Clark: Unfortunately a complete waste of time and money. Then when addressing my concerns Jessica venomously attacks me through email. She is not professional and not recommended for anyone who values their dollar
Bruce Currier: Jessica is the best of all worlds; extremely thorough and knowledgeable while also very personable, pleasant and pretty funny, too. She does not try to upsell anything ( and there is a great deal of that which could occur in the custom bike world) unless she really feels it would benefit your particular situation. Highly, highly recommend.

H.E.H. Human Electric Hybrids LLC: what do users think?
Tom Perna: Trenton is an excellent person to deal with.
Lucas van Beek: good service
Karen Kuschel: In my experience, customer service after selling you the bike is not their strong suit. Poor communication between staff, management and customer and then try to place the blame on the manufacturer and the customer instead of working on their communication issues.  Good at selling the bike but the rest, not so much. Not a satisfied customer, for sure, and definitely won't be a repeat customer. I should have noticed when we checked the reviews before buying that most of the reviews are old. They might have become too big at selling bikes to be good at customer service issues after the fact. My review would be Buyer Beware.UPDATE: After third trip for brake issues to service, picked up yesterday, told all set. Went to use bike today to go to work and get this. Also brake line had duct tape holding it on.
S Barth: Very helpful, knowledgeable staff!Took time to answer all our questions. Excellent place to buy an E-bike!
Maya Jones: My family and I went in to see about renting an electric bike and the older gentlemen who works there was very rude and condescending to my husband and myself. I have never had such terrible customer service. I will not be renting from this location.
Suzanne Polderdyke: I’m so glad I went to HEH to look at ebikes. Jim was so patient with me and helped me find the perfect bike for me. I will be sure to send friends to HEH.
Erin Miller: Very helpful staff, great service and large selection of bikes. Highly recommend!
Sohaib Arif: The 5 star reviews are very well deserved. The bikes are very high quality and the prices are reasonable. I actually came with no biking experience aside from online research and learned quite a bit.
Sarah Addy: Kim was incredibly patient, personable and knowledgeable during test rides with our 5yr old autistic son. It's always such a comfort to engage with people like Kim, who take special needs in stride with compassion and confidence. Thanks for a great experience! Also, they have a great selection of high quality bikes on hand to try out!
ilene smith: Jim was very patient and let us try out whatever we wanted. We are very happy with our purchase.
D K: Jim's very knowledgeable with eBikes and he carries a large selection of manufacturers and styles for every rider. I highly recommend visiting his store for a great buying experience for bikes and gear.
Emy Deshotel: I bought a GenZe e-bike from H.E.H. and used to frequent their former Ypsi location. The staff is knowledgeable and will help you find the bike that works for you. They have a crazy amount of talent for e-bikes and will get you rolling in no time.
George Theriot: Fantastic store!
Keith Horn: Purchased a bike here and it really messed me up after discovering the hard way that it hadn't been assembled properly by HEH. The cranks came off 10 miles from home. When I brought it back for repairs I asked if he could also download an update to the firmware that the manufacturer said I needed. NOPE wouldn't do it and didn't apologize for the poor assembly of the bike. Worst buying and service experience in my memory. Hey you've been WARNED. Careful of the gnomes you buy from.....18 Aug 2020It was not an ILLEGAL UPDATE.IT WAS A LEGAL FIRMWARE UPDATE RECCOMMENDED BY "RALEIGH", THE BIKE'S MANUFACTURER.
Frank Crapanzano: H. E. H bike shop is great.. The owner had just moved to their new, much larger store in Ann arbor. When I arrived with my magnum mi5 ebike (which is a phenomenal powerful ebike) , which I had bought from the owner jim years prior. I was anxious to get it serviced. I had arrived at 535pm just before closing time of 6pm.the poor guy was swamped with work to do. But he took the time to treat me as priority and handled my bicycle and even stayed at least 20 mins past closing time, to also allow me to test ride another ebike, that I was interested in. The owner Jim never once appeared in a hurry and absolutely did not try to rush me out the door. And was actually ready and willing to help me with more bikes. But I finally stopped with all of my endless questions, which he carefully and patiently, took the time to answer. I have to say, it's definitely better to buy from a bike shop, like H. E. H, than the big box or online. Great experience!
Jaime Ciatti: I don’t write a lot of reviews but I was compelled to after buying an e-bike here this week. Making an appointment online was easy and it was nice to know that my husband and I would be the only people in the store during it. Unfortunately since everyone is buying bikes right now, there was only one bike in my price range left in stock. However, it was exactly what I needed and wanted, and I’m very happy with the purchase. I’ve had a great time riding it and feel confident that should I ever need help with it in the future, HEH will be there. Thanks!
Tony: went in to browse and the cashier very rudely told us to wait outside unless we had an appointment. didn’t seem interested in our business. long drive to get there. super disappointed. won’t be back.
Jim Russell: I was in toen to visit my son and wanted to visit the store. They had appointment only visits, but they still got me in that day. Jim took a lot of time with me to talk about the e assist bikes and what I was looking for for my needs. He matched me up with a Gazelle and it is terrific. I also could not take the bike home that day because I coudn't get it in my car. They held onto for me until the next weekend, and when I got there it was ready to go, They gave me some additional instructions and I was on my way. Great folks, great place!!
Rob Ploutz-Snyder: If you’re thinking about ebikes, this is the place to go! It’s a small shop, but it’s packed with ebike of different styles and price ranges. The owners and staff are super knowledgeable and friendly, they listen to customers’ interests, and they do a great job helping you sort through the various options. They will allow you to ride several different models, and when you arrive after a test drive, they immediately get your impressions to help fine tune the next test drive. I tried 4 ebikes before making my decision, and though I had some internet research beforehand, nothing compares to a test drive! Highly recommend.
Mike: The private appointment gave me a hour to test drive and go over all my options. Highly recommend this shop for anyone interested in a eBike.
