Emily Frisk: If you are looking for a superbly clean, professional and inviting studio to get a piercing GO TO GAMMA! I visited Gamma Piercing recently with an appointment for two piercings. The owner Jef is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and kind. All of the staff in the studio were warm, welcoming and the customer service was excellent.The studio space itself is beautifully designed, exceptionally clean and inclusive. The location in downtown Ann Arbor is easily accessible and all of the nearby shopping and restaurants made for an awesome afternoon after my appointment.I was nervous for my appointment but both Jef and Maddie were reassuring and immediately made me feel confident and at ease.Although my piercings are only a week old, I have already had the easiest healing experience I've ever had with any of my other 10 piercings. The pricing is competitive (I would have happily paid twice the amount I did for the level of service I received). 10/10 Gamma Piercing!!! I'm looking forward to returning for my follow up consultation, future piercings and jewelry shopping.

Cosima Boswell: Took my (almost) 10 year old to get her ears pierced here. The entire process was made to make her feel comfortable, at ease, and in control. Nathaniel Tinker was absolutely amazing with her: took his time explaining everything and answering ALL the questions, asking permission for each step, and continuously checking in. The aftercare was a breeze, too. I helped her clean the earring daily and was impressed that there wasn't even the tiniest bit of blood or residue. Great experience all around and would recommend for anyone getting their kids' ears pierced.

Gracie Foxworthy: I had an appointment for tomorrow evening with this piercing business. They called and left a message saying they're canceling my appointment, and something about "our previous interactions" and "harassment". ??? Maybe because I originally preferred a female piercer? But I've never contacted this business before except to make the appointment, and the person on the phone was extremely nice, so I have no idea what this person is referring to. Besides calling for the appointment, I've never messaged, emailed or contacted them in any way. I'm pretty upset... They're definitely mixing me up with someone else, and if that's the case, maybe it's better for me to get pierced elsewhere anyway! 🙃UPDATE: To owner- nope, that WAS NOT me. I've changed my security settings tho. I'm also changing my 3 star review to one star, since you're blaming me for something I didn't do, AND you seem unwilling to honor our appointment. If you really wanted to make it right, you'd do so... I was really looking forward to tomorrow night. What a disappointment 😞!

Chris Savage: Fantastic customer service and hospitality. Even better knowledge and experience. extremely comfortable from start to finish. I got two genital piercings in one session and have a couple more on the books. During my first visit we talked about all of the piercings in that area that I'm looking to accumulate over time. My piercer was honest and thorough in explaining which ones he wasn't sure I would support. And instead of just saying no or gambling it on the ones that are on the fence, he set up a session for the big wig to come in and give an opinion. Price wound up being comparable,if not competitive, to just about anywhere else I called and quoted. I am trans so I looked one gender coming in for the opposite genital piercings, but no one ever skipped a beat or made me feel awkward in any way. I will have them change my starter jewelry at my next piercing appointment, but based on setting that up I have very high hopes for their aftercare experience as well. My piercer was Nathaniel Tinker who was particularly amazing, but I didn't speak to a single employee there who really wasn't. My piercing photos aren't online appropriate, but they look absolutely fantastic and have had many compliments already 😊 very happy with my experience and results

He is beyond friendly, professional, knowledgeable and is clearly very passionate about his career. His work came out perfect. Shortly after leaving the piercing room, my wife had to sit and ended up passing out. He took every step to ensure my wife’s safety and comfort. This studio is in the highest tier of professional piercers, not just in the area, but in the nation. Everyone is extremely qualified and talented and I would recommend anyone find time to get some work done here or browse their phenomenal jewelry selection. The owner is brilliant and highly respected in the piercing industry, and it definitely shows. All staff present were so kind. We sincerely appreciate Nathaniel & the rest of the team we met today. The place was super clean and the staff is so friendly. They had two pierces there so they were able to do both her ears at the same time, super helpful. They explained every step of the way to her and gave her space when she needed it. Highly recommend this place. *maybe give yourself a few extra minutes for parking. I neglected to take that into account and we were running to our appointment 🤣*

I've gotten previous tattoos at this location, but this experience was very disappointing.

Mary B: I love, Love, LOVE this shop 😍. It's clean, has great decor, a laid back accepting atmosphere, and fabulous artists and staff. It is my new favorite shop, and Katrina Genge, my all time favorite artist. I went in for a sleeve and so far it is better than I had even imagined it could be. Katrina is personable and immensely to talented. She free drew the tat, which is a forest of trees onto my arm and did the tattoo from there. The detail is incredible! The inside is pretty much done now. The outside needs a bit more work and the sky needs to be added. I will post pics as it is finished and healed.

Kari Sirois: I'm very selective on where I go for tattoos because I've had some bad experiences but this place is very clean and Covid cautious. I got two tattoos done by Casey and he was amazing. Super nice and professional and I love his work. He was also very accommodating to my friends who had last minute tattoo changes. This is the first time I've gone here but I'd let any of the people tattoo me. If you're looking for a place in the area to go my friends and I agreed this is our new tattoo spot!

Justin Olschefski: Been getting work done by both Ryan and Rob at this shop. Both artist are excellent at their craft. They both have a friendly and laid back demeanor which makes the shop very appealing and creates a relaxed and reassured vibe while getting a tattoo. Kris is a great shop staffer who is always pleasant and will work hard to get your appointment scheduled and find any upcoming openings or work with you if you need to reschedule. Joy is the shop piercer, although I have not received any service from joy she lives up to her name. She is also welcoming in the shop and engaging in plenty of conversation. Overall this is just a really great tattoo shop that has really great artist that are capable of amazing work. Over 10 tattoos from these artist at this shop!
