HOMES Brewery - Brewpub: what do users think?
Duane Radzwion: Great food, beer, outdoor seeting and spirits but the music sucked.
Cheri Z: For non-beer drinkers, the Smooj is tasty.
Wutt Hmone Thin Kyi: Kao swe is the best!! Definitely recommend.
Ammar Muhammad: RIP to the Gogi burrito. Please bring it back.
Steffany Bluestein: I love this place so much, but I was CRAVING the Gogi burrito and went to get it and they got rid of it. I am literally heartbroken. Please please bring it back for my emotional well being. 😭
Michael Santiago: Cool place to relax and have a couple of beers. Big open space, food options, plus plenty of parking.
Jeffrey Basch: Great vibe, friendly service, yummy beer and food.
Josie Jackson: We tried the tofu tacos and the tofu bimibap! The sours and IPAs here are incredible. It is so different. It is worth waiting in line. Get there early to grab a seat and enjoy all of the intriguing beer and interesting elements of the gorgeous atmosphere. The only downside of our trip was the tables being so close that we could hear someone talk about detoxing from caffeine and the gross effects of that.Otherwise!!! This place is incredible!!
Gerald Har (harharhar123): Great selection of IPA. Food selection is pretty decent - surprised to find spicy kimchi in a place like this. Relaxed environment and ideal to chat and hangout, especially if you catch them when business is slower. Will definitely be back and will post some nice photos the next time!
Connie Burke: Great vibe, not your typical bar food - HOMES offers Asian food paired with the most flavorful beer you’ll ever taste. Excellent.
Nicole Czmer: Beer and food always on point. Love their Asian fusion vibe on the food menu. If you love solid sours and IPAs this is your brewery! 🍻
Mail House: Homes kills everything they do! Their fruited sours and hazy IPA's are some of the best in the state of Michigan. Their kitchen takes Asian fusion to another level. Their Bulgogi burrito is so tasty you'll want to take one home. Don't forget to grab a 4-pack to go or a 750ml bottle to share with friends for your next dinner party. When my car gets close to the Homes exit it automatically turns like it's magic. I recommend everyone visit this awesome brewery in Ann Arbor.
Trevor Davenport: Visiting family from out of town and they suggested I would like HOMES. Now I've been to a lot of breweries that have beer and food and undoubtedly, they only tend to get 1 out of 2 right. HOMES seems to have figured out how to have amazing food served quickly with a high quality bar AND pairing it with a delicious selection of beers. The line to order looks deceptively long but everyone was quick, friendly and eager to help you get your grub (and drink) on! We had just about everything on the menu - the bulgogi fries and burrito were the stars. I was less impressed with the coconut ranch edamame and the brussel Caesar salad but they were still satisfying.I would be here every weekend if I lived in Ann Arbor!!
Michael Bryan: Always a great stop. Great food, with flair and creativity. A friendly team no matter what time of day, feels like they knew you before you walked in. Never rushed, but always taken care of.
Tonya: I ordered bibimbap. It will be a nice dish if they don't overflow it with pickles. The pickles are tasty, but they are way too many and make the dish very sour. Rice is not nearly enough. I could have given four stars but I think the food in general is a bit overrated
Jangwon Choi: The food was quite nice, but it was a bit too noisy for a comfortable conversation.
G W: Atmosphere was nice. We ate outside, near the fire.
Cody Mrowca (Tacktiician): Have been a member for three years now and will be for many more. Easily one lf the best breweries in the state. Every style is done excellent
AJ Maxey: Best craft brews in Ann Arbor!
Sean McAndrew: I really like the vibe of this place and generally like their beer enough. Only downside for me is there really is not much variety in their beer, it's essentially ALL IPAs, a couple very sugary sours, then one good Kolsch. The food has kind of gone downhill, and I've never been blown away by any of it.More variety in their styles and an expanded food menu would benefit this place greatly.
Bennett Proegler: It was so incredibly warm while we were inside the brewpub, such a nice change for most bars during the winter in Michigan! Plus the beer was amazing as always

Townies Brewery: what do users think?
Daniel Kelly: Friendly with decent beer. The atmosphere is a little sterile. When we went out was greatly empty, I bet with a crowd it feels a lot more lived in.
Jill Estrada: The beer is good and the atmosphere is great (being dog-friendly is always a huge plus!) but the food is not good and overpriced. I tried the veggie tacos and they were subpar. We miss being able to bring amazing tacos from Chela's and hanging out at Townies.
Carol G: Really enjoyed our visit here. The beers were tasty! Alina said it was her 3rd day working here, and she did great. Love the outdoor space; we enjoyed sitting by the firepit table in the sunshine. We picked up our Tag-a-Brew and they had some cool merchandise items, but no coozies :( We will definitely visit again if we're in the area.
joe1265: I loved the fruited farmhouse ale.
Sandi Beatty: Stopped in at Noon on a Sunday and were the only ones here. (But there was a home U of M game going on.) And the Beer Jockey said they usually get busy around 2pm ish. Hubsy and I each had a flight. I liked my beers-hubsy said he like everything but the stout, which tasted contaminated, so maybe a bad barrel. We shared a street corn dip and chips, asked for second cup of dip to finish up the chips. We were surprised it was cold, but both thought it was good anyway. Beer jockey( he named himself) was knowledgeable about the beers and could give recommendations on other breweries to stop at. Tag A Brew participant and lots of swag and decor items available to purchase.
A Bar: Based on 10pm Friday attendanceOnly chips n salsa for foodBeer is eh across 5 selections. I liked the hard seltzer.Parking is a bit inconvenient no thru way to pull out, home base lot is small.Plus: while open Chelas taqueria will deliver to the Townie door.
Darrin Mendrick: Varied beer selection, local pub atmosphere, courteous staff
Evelyn Eccles: They do not take cash! (Legal tender for all debts public and private) but were extremely happy for cash tips. That said, good beer and Chela right next door. They may not allow for the food to be brought in but we took our beers over the wall to Chela's patio and then went back
S Dely: Me… waiting 45 minutes for nachos… and then noting the amazing smells from the taqueria neighbor…..
Kevin Ackley: Drove up from o$u central ohio to hit some breweries in AA. Our K9s named Tshimanga and Desmond came along to explore.Townes was a pleasant visit. Offering some big number beers for me, with some lower number beers and seltzer for the Mrs. Outdoor area outstanding. Inside gaming area looked amazing.
Shannon Zell: Great beers but only a Food truck at the time we visited with Tacos and Nachos. Great selection of ciders, IPA's, selzers, and a few ales.
Amanda LaVictoire: Wonderful staff, lovely outdoor seating, tasty hard seltzers & an amazing game room!!
Bill Moran: Tonight we just had some of their tasty beers and played darts. The tacos are delicious.
Alfred Momodu: Great customer service, food is slightly pricey, but the space is lovely and expansive. They have a game room and a back yard. Definitely a hidden gem of Ann Arbor.
Jennifer Laidlaw: Great beer- games and played pool and darts. Great service, too
Michael C.: Had just driven from Massachusetts, enjoyed the food and hospitality. The owner and staff were welcoming/friendly. Unfortunately they were out of cider, but had a diverse range of options to choose from including beer and seltzers. They had a smooth IPA although no true doubles, but I'm bias and spoiled from our NE DIPA's at home. Their outdoor area was nice and main tap room was spacious. Food was decent, although spicy! I'm a fan and my wife was not, we ordered another quesadilla asking for no spice/jalapenos since we didn't read the menu close enough and unfortunately was given another regular quesadilla including spiciness. It was really nice to have the dog friendly policy as well! We didn't think the price point was bad for how much we got, although we are from taxachussetts and might have different perspectives opposed to others in the area. Thanks for the good food and drink while we were in town!
Shawn H: I hosted a wedding shower at Townies and the staff and owners exceeded our expectations in every way! The food, the service, the room set up…were all fabulous! Our guests all raves about what a great time they had there. I would absolutely recommend going there! It’s so cute and the beer and ciders are fantastic. Grab a drink and head out to a fire pit! It’s the perfect way to spend some time.
Doug Gordon: Very nice
David Goodman: Beer is medium to bad, food is medium. Ambiance is really pleasant.
Abigail Cole: Interesting place! They have some pretty good food (we made the veggie taco vegan), great interesting beers for all, and a neat game room with darts and pool. Excited to go back again.
Jonathan Scheets: This place has an amazing outdoor and indoor area. The seating outdoors is equipped with fire pits and even the benches themselves are heated. Also pet friendly outdoors and my dog loves it. Inside has a game area with a pool table and darts. All this gets 5+ stars. The beer itself would get 2-3 stars. Some are okay, some just aren’t good at all. Recently had an IPA with leftover chunks of hops, dark flecks of unknown substance, and an overall unpleasant metallic taste. You’d be okay if you liked ciders or seltzers as my non-beer drinking friends have enjoyed them. All this being said, we still go here and continue to hope for an improving beer quality because we have a great time on the property and want to see them succeed.

Wolverine State Brewing Co: what do users think?
Wood Mama: This has been my favorite brewery for at least the last 7 years. Wolverine Dark will always be a favorite! The staff is cool and food is phenomenal. Never disappointed with this place.
Matthew Tupps: Awesome beer and great food! Sweet atmosphere to chill and catch up with friends!! Super friendly staff!!
Nickolay Khazanov: Always a solid beer - especially with mug club. Delicious food specials as well.
Kendall Leake: Great food and beer! My favorite is the Barista! Best coffee beer I have ever had!
Morgan Barron: It's a great place to grab a beer with friends! We went on a weeknight and were the only people in the bar. The bartender let us sample different bars on tap before we ordered. I didn't like the Mac and Cheese I ordered, but my friends loved their pit master plates.
Pandora Reavis: Had a private afterservice for my aunt's funeral here. Very kind staff and great food.
Corey Taylor: Best brewery in Ann Arbor!!!! And I line in Columbus Ohio and an OSU alumni!!! I did a flight but honestly all the beers are great! We are the pulled pork quesadilla and it was awesome! They also had a lot of quality merchandise! I high remember coming here!!!
Mary Taylor: Beer flights were really good and the brisket was "Top Shelf".
Jesse Howell: Can’t believe I’ve never reviewed since I’ve been a mug club member here for like over a decade! (Or two!) Some of the best beers available on the planet - and I’m a certified cicerone.Best pulled pork nachos I’ve had yet and I’ve tried a lot. Go with a friend and order the full size. They are known for their “standard” Premium Lager, the Gulo-Gulo, the once a year annual release release “Massacre” and many other experimental offs’ that are excellent.
Zachary “Batman” Pilon: Delicious food and beer
John Voymas: Lively. Even though there were lots of customers, it was still possible to find a table. Beers are very good. The Barista coffee lager is one of the best, most balanced coffee beers that I've ever had. Our other flight choices were also very good. It is self-serve (you order at the bar) but it's pretty quick.
Sandi Beatty: Quietest busy place I have ever been. Bartender is so calm and composed despite the steady line of peeps ordering at the bar and people waiting for seats at the bar. My Bourbon barreled lager is mediocre, but I am a spoiled BBA drinker cuz of Untitled Art. I ordered the Rueben Quesadilla, cuz Wisco meets Tex Mex. Didn't dissapoint.
Danielle Wilkening: Some of the best beer I’ve ever had and the staff is incredible, 10/10, especially for locals!
Ben Black: Nice brewery and beer.
Blytz Blazen: Prompt service. I appreciate the specialization in lagers. The food was delicious. If you are in Ann Arbor, go here.
William Irvine: Awesome beers. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Daniel Ostroff: Very busy during game day but still had good service. Lots of TVs
jason saldana: Greeted by the friendliest bar tender. Brought me my Beer and without asking also a sample of a similar one. Hands down awesome service! Bahn Mi gets 10/10! Bread makes or breaks a sandwich and this was on point! Brisket was very tasty!
Craig Clapier: Fantastic good service great beer..
Jeff Emeigh: Excellent food and beer. It's a little tough to find. It's behind another building. Definitely worth looking for. Brisket,Ribs, and Mac an cheese. WOW!
Dale Myers: Great beer and nice outdoor venue

Mothfire Brewing Company: what do users think?
Blake Garner Blades: What a cute place and great beer. Excited for their new location. The Phraze was incredible!
Andy B: Good beer. Very small tasting room style venue in a light industrial area. Nice vibe. The seating area has been expanded by just a few seats (April 2022) and it's nice. They're only open for a few hours in the early evening for a few days a week, so it's a pretty intimate place. The beer is consistently good, but it's generally either 3 or 4 out of 5. It's good beer, but not legendary. They plan to move out of their light industrial location next winter and into another light industrial area. In the meantime it's nice to go on one of the three evenings a week that they're open and hang out with the big "garage doors" open to the outside. The beer continues to be good in September 2022. They make a variety of different types, all of which seem to be popular. They offer many of their beers in cans.January 2023 - I think the beer has gotten a bit better. Some of their early offerings were strong and eccentric tasting. But now things seems a bit more balanced and maybe a little mellower too. Their stuff is definitely not typical. If you're an adventurous beer drinker, this is a good place to experience things on the wilder side. They used to make beers that I would rank about a 3 out of 5. The entire line is still mostly between 2 and 4 to my tastes, but I think the whole offering is leaning more toward the 4s in the winter of 2023.
Logan Rowe: Juicy IPAs.
Ethan Block: Great Brewery with awesome beers. Friendly management and an awesome atmosphere. Best Brewery in Ann Arbor.
Wendy Mello: Love Mothfire!!!!
Miguel 'Mig' Denyer: Fantastic beer selection... reasonable prices... GREAT staff
Charles Scrase: Hidden gem
Tammera: Dave and Team from Mothfire Brewing Co provided the brews for our annual fundraiser gala, Blue Ribbon Bash, at Therapeutic Riding Inc. Every brew was a hit and the crowd loved it! This is an amazing community resource and we will tap into their talent again. My rating falls somewhere between Wow! and Spectacular!
Robert Zenas: Delicious beer and super nice staff
Laura Hancock: We happened upon this hidden gem of a nano brewery in Ann Arbor and absolute love it! The quaint atmosphere, the variety of beers, and hospitality is unmatched. They only had 4 beers on tap but you can pick a can of their other brews to enjoy as well. Will definitely be back!
Isha Gandhi: The beers are good and extremely well balanced. They never disappointment. One of my favorite breweries in Ann Arbor. The staff is extremely friendly.
Steve Smith: Great beer, small space. Hopefully they expand.
Jonathan Scheets: Amazing beer, super friendly people. Their beer is a notch above the rest for sure, just not tons of seating if you have a big group. Check it out and try the beer, you won’t be disappointed.
Michael Rohwer: Small brewery and taproot with some great stuff. Mostly well crafted IPAs and interesting aged stouts.
Mickie McA: This place has great beer but they need to open back up so I can try more! I love visiting the actual brewery and sitting in and talking to the crew that makes the beer! It makes it special and the experience of craft brew. Plus I am more likely to try more at a brewery then buy a 4 pack and pray I like it.
Gary Oke: Friendly little nano brewery. Stop in and check 'em out at the source.
Ed Love: They have an experimental porter with a sharp mexican spiced chocolate that blends away in the mouth. Freakin' delicious! Get it while you can.
Alex Nazarian: Very friendly and open crew of brewers. A great Ann Arbor upstart.
jessica french: Thank goodness for Mothfire! Best brews and coolest crew in town! A+

HOMES Brewery - Campus: what do users think?
Ethan Block: Nice outdoor space and good beers
Charles Carlson: Fun, hip, happening place. A little something for everyone.
Ted Erickson: Favorite. Can bring own food. Beer is great! Still
Eddie Smith: Great brewery with tasty food, delicious beers, good service, a great location on the west side of Ann Arbor, and a fun atmosphere in a modern facility with a unique exterior. Very popular among college students living on the west side, and definitely worth a try if you've never been.
Avram Liebowitz: Wonderful establishment! The Same Same Different IPA was very flavorful and delicious!
Wesley L: They were out of food about 90 minutes before they were suppose to close. We were asked to wait while they "checked inventory" then didn't really hear anything. After 20 minutes we asked again and were told they had a couple side items left. Clientel looked super Chad/Karen also. Was not something worth checking out. Luckily the bar just down the road from them was open and really good, or that 35 minute drive would have been super depressing. 2 stars instead of the 1 because the bartender was really nice!
Allison Schneider: We love the original HOMES, we love HOMES Campus, and we especially loved the party for the 6 year anniversary last night! HOMES Campus should do live music more often. I know I'm not alone in saying I'd come out for all the shows!
S N: Anyone giving this place anything above a 3/4 is just bonkers. Confusing as heck to figure out where to go as signs are apparently difficult. You will easily spend $35 on a meal with a drink which includes the suggested minimum tip of 25%?! Which is all justifiable if the food was amazing and you had someone serving your food and it just isn’t. Three people ordered the same thing at a table and one person got something missing completely. An attempt to fix it was just fixed wrong. Chicken had zero flavor and was fried way too much. Fries were nothing special. Friend also wasn’t impressed with their vegetarian options. Basic drinks are not cheap either. Ambiance was ok but the chairs are so hard that they expect you to soak in where you are to forget it’s just a basic cafeteria room with basic tables and chairs. I just see no reason to ever go back.
G Bak: They have great beer and I like they change the food trucks weekly basis. It is so fun to try different food on different days!
Jennifer Milliman: Aside from just being one of my favorite places in Ann Arbor, Homes Campus/Dozer have been a godsend during the power outages. I can drive up for my latte and breakfast and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. They offer unique and flavorful food for a treat, breakfast or lunch - their donuts and hot bites are exceptional! Their coffee is my favorite in the county, and not surprisingly, their King Cold Brew, flavored with coffee, is one of my all-time preferred craft beers. This is a cozy, happy, aesthetically pleasing place to hang with friends inside or out, as both indoor and outdoor spaces are great.
Lynn Metz: Love the space! Such a fun place to come with super friendly staff and great beer. They also often have phenomenal pop-ups for food, Basil Babe is our favorite!
Nicole Ruthig: Great place! Great drinks!
Angelica Hangartner: Great Homes Beer as always but my low stars come from unclean bathrooms and rude staff. If you advertise to have the projector on for a world cup game, great but know that people will want to have a beer and enjoy their time there with the game. There were conflicting messages about buying cans and filling our own glass with it. Next time if all the staff are on the same page, the guests can enjoy their time.
Andrew w: Yummo in my tummo
Elan Lange: the fire pit seating was perfect on this cool evening, the staff were friendly, and the beer was delicious!
Alden Clark: Homes brewery Campus is amazing!
Narda Black: Great food from Basil Babe and delicious Smooj! 😋
William Purves: Okay, we've been here a couple of times, afternoons, evenings and I have a couple of thoughts. One, it is a lovely space, open, airy, good music, and I really enjoy hanging out here. Two, the beer, coffee, and other libations are top notch. Three, the food options, especially in the evenings, are pretty poor. They have food trucks coming in, but each time there have been limited options and/or they quickly ran out.
Nilay Parikh: Great vibe, good beer!
Kevin Cai: Go-to for WFH get-away or weekend spot to hang out low key with friends. Great beer, but also have a rotating hard liquor menu that is delicious curated by the employees, and a great coffee shop next door. Highly recommend if you're looking for a low key place to hangout away from down town.
Abigail Cole: Interesting place! Does have a few different beers than the other HOMES location and doesn’t always have food. But they do pop ups for food, but seem to normally have a vegetarian/vegan option with those pop ups? (Check their Instagram) definitely a way to mix it up if you’re a big homes fan but don’t want the same ol’ same ol’.

Arbor Brewing Company - Corner Brewery: what do users think?
Steve Bracciano: Solid food and beers. Laid back atmosphere. Not too pretentious.
Astrid Cordier: We love the party shark pizza and the best dark beers!
Beth & Tony Martins: The beer and wine was great. We ordered by QR code and considering that I selected specific customizations but then had to go and have them fix it because they were ignored. Also had to pay for pickles for the burger, but was given a side pickle. The area is quaint, and the premise is unique but there are a few shortcomings. Overall even with my little issues it was a lovely experience.
Eddie Smith: Excellent drinks and atmosphere... sometimes mediocre food and service though. The drinks are delicious and have always been served quickly, but there seems to be a bottleneck in the kitchen and food can take quite a while and come out rushed and of poor quality. For example, on one occasion it took over an hour to receive a pizza that we had ordered, there was no update on when it would be ready, and when it arrived it was under-baked and didn't really live up to the description of the "Party Shark" pizza. Overall, definitely worth it for a great drinking atmosphere... but if you're looking for a good meal, maybe consider somewhere else.**********Update: We recently got food and drinks here. The food and drinks came out quick, but the food wasn't up to the normal standards. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger well done, and not only did the burger patty come out very well done, but every other part of the burger was overdone and dry as well. The bun, the mushrooms, and the burger were all quite dry and there was not enough mayo to lubricate the burger and re-moisturize the flavors. And my wife's fries came out cold and she felt that her sliders were pretty skimpy on the cheese and toppings that she paid for. She had ordered those same sliders before and they had more cheese and toppings. No complaint on the drinks though... per usual, they were prompt and delicious.Kid-friendliness: There aren't a lot of activities for kids here, like games or toys, but our toddler and our friends' toddlers seem to have a good time as long as we sit outside in the beer garden where they can run around a little bit and look at plants and trees.Parking: There are two parking lots, and the lot near the beer garden is usually filled up by 5pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. However, the other lot has plenty of available parking, and there is usually free street parking available as well nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: This brewery and beer garden are definitely wheelchair accessible.
Andy B: I felt that in the past the beer at the old Corner Brewery was not up to the high standards of other micro breweries in the area. As of today it appears that is no longer the case. I tried two different beers here and they were both very good. It looks like they have improved and are now producing pretty good beer. This still holds true in May of 2023.It's still very loud here. The menu has expanded and the food is reasonably good. As of May 2023 I think the food is quite good. I'll take it a 4 out of 5 overall, or 5 out if 5 if you're grading it on a bar food specific scale. The staff has always been pretty good here and that hasn't changed, but there is no table service. You have to go to the bar to get drinks and order food, which is brought to you when it's ready.I had been avoiding this brewpub for the last few years because I felt it was under par, but this most recent experience was significantly better and it's consistent now in May of 2023. My biggest complaint was that the beer tasted a bit strange and consistently gave me an upset stomach and headache. The headache is the big thing because, outside of drinking a pint and a half at The Corner Brewery, nothing had given me a headache in years.2022 update - the service has been excellent on every visit since my last review. The beer is quite good, although not legendary. I'm happy to go here now and it seems they've clearly turned things around from where they were a few years back. It's a solid choice and a reliable good time.2023 update - they've expanded their outdoor seating again to many state park style bench picnic tables. So as long as the weather is okay, it's pretty easy to get seated here. Good service can become slow when they're busy, but we've had pretty good food here the last few times we went. I think it's definitely a good destination. The inside still suffers from being really loud as soon as there are more than a few people there. So don't go in expecting to have a deep conversation.
Katlyn Nagy: Bad experience. Whack staff.
Lionel Wallace: Did the pull up for dinner at arbor brewing for the first time and I was really impressed with there resturant and brewey model. There are no servers just food runners and bar tender. You find an open table and place your food and drink oder at the bar or from your phone using the qr code. After we odered the food came out hot and fresh. We got the pretzels (cheese sauce was fire !!!) for an appetizer and I got the ruben sandwich and my wife got the pulled pork sandwich with no bun. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend and repeat.

The weather was a little chilly still (mid 50's), so we ate inside but they have a large patio with the clear igloo tents. We ordered the Cubano sandwich with garlic fries, fish and chips, Reuben sandwich, and the appetizer fries. Also a sampler of several different beers.
