Bill Kilroy: It is a true 'Brick and Mortar store' and on that basis alone deserves to be patronized. Beyond that, the staff was extremely knowledgeable and patient, though I stated up front that I did not intend to make a purchase.I did end up making several, substantial purchases from them in the weeks that followed. I am from Chicago, where there used to be many like camera stores , and there was Helix. We lack this now in Chicago. I am so glad that I took the time to visit this store while in Ann Arbor. If anywhere nearby, I suggest you do the same.
Paul Fagan: I found the Camera Mall to be well stocked and well kept. I bought 2 rolls background sweep paper and several rolls of gaffers tape in several colors. Parking is a breeze too.

Egi Karafili: I cannot say enough good things about this local, small business. I recommend it to everyone I know. The workers are very friendly and knowledgable and always helpful. When accessories are needed and back ordered, they do a great job of communicating with you to keep you updated. Also, I had lost all of the pictures from an important event on my SD Card. Leo and the wonderful team at CameraMall were able to recover all of the pictures. I cannot thank them enough. I will never go elsewhere for my camera needs.

Sarah Proegler: I went to CameraMall looking for help in identifying several cameras that my father had collected over the years. I knew that they wouldn’t appraise them for me but they were very helpful in helping me figure out what they were so I could then look them up on line to find an approximate value for both camera bodies and lenses. I appreciated them taking the time to do this even though they had several customers in the store. They were able to help me go through approximately 15-20 items in less than 15 minutes. D3vil Bunny: I sent Dave my Rollei 35 LED and he repaired it spectacularly. Cleaned and lube and made many other repairs that were necessary. Took a bit less than a month. Pricing is excellent and don’t believe all the bad reviews. There’s always two sides to every story. Would definitely use him again.
Rob: Dave CLA'd my Minolta CLE. I dropped it on the floor and the camera literally bounced two or three times. Everything had to be retuned and overhauled, including the lens.Dave worked on the camera for about two weeks and sent it back promptly. The cost for the CLA and repair was extremely fair and reasonable.Now the camera looks and feels absolutely brand new. He also cleaned the viewfinder, which is crystal clear and bright. I don't think there's a better viewfinder out there than a cleaned and prepped Minolta CLE (Leica M eat your heart out)10/10

(rangefinderforum) It came back pretty quickly after a CLA and small repair and is ready for another 50 years of service! I've got the next vintage film camera on its way to him now.Edit 6/16/21 - He's had my FE2 for going on a year now. Doesn't return phone calls or emails. I already paid him AND he's got my camera. It makes me pretty sad. I hope he's OK and didn't fall to COVID or something. Definitely call and talk to him before you send anything his way. While you're at it, ask him how Jeremy's FE2 repair is going...
David Murray: Dave has repaired several lenses for me. He is knowledge and has done very good work.
Gary Ingersoll: Dave has repaired several film cameras and a couple lenses for me over the past 3-4 years and every one was returned in excellent running condition. Unlike some more well known "experts" that stick with only one camera brand, Dave has had the experience and parts to handle everything from Nikon and Leica rangefinders to a badly beaten Pentax 6x7. It can take some time as he is popular, and does things right, but if he says he can do it, it will be done right.
Samuel Wasserman: Dave has done some work for me over the last few years, and he sure does it excellently. It’s hard to find people who know what they’re doing with vintage camera equipment, and Dave is certainly an expert. He is very knowledgeable and takes great pride in his incredible work. Although he has taken some time to actually get the projects done, his rates are very reasonable and his work is impressive. He can at times be hard to reach, unfortunately.
Shawn Martin: I’ve now had two of my older SLR cameras serviced by Dave, the first back in 2003, and most recently in 2019. I was very happy to see he is still servicing and repairing vintage film cameras as it’s practically impossible to find shops that will even touch them these days.As such, Dave’s skills and knowledge are incredibly rare, highly in-demand, and very valuable to film photography enthusiasts across the world. I was fully prepared to pay a high price tag, and wait a long time for him to fix my camera...neither of those turned out to be true.Not only was the price for my repairs reasonable, Dave only had my camera for about 3 weeks before I was able to pick it up. Not only did he perform the repairs I requested, he also replaced and calibrated several parts that improved the camera aesthetically and mechanically at no extra charge.Dave is a true craftsman in every sense of the word when it comes to vintage and analog camera repairs. I couldn’t be happier with the work he did and hope to give him more of my business for many more years.Thank you Dave!
Pamela Fetters: Dave has reapired my old Minolta camera and lenses back to their original condition. His price was very fair. It took a while, but in all fairness, I told him I was in no hurry, so that is not an issue with me. He does excellent work, which is probably why he is so tied up. How many camera repair shops are out there anyway?? I highly recommend him.

I was so tired of the "parts not here", "still waiting", "I'll call you", and lastly he said it was taken apart and he was working on it. then the next day he didn't get it finished and needed more time. Seriously? 4 months? He knew I had a web business as well and relied on this as a handicapped person. VERY dishonest. JUST OWN UP and say I cannot fix it. Don't lie and hem and haw for 4 months. I swear the reviews on here must be from his friends and family. BAD BAD BUSINESS MAN!

Brian “Change” Penney: Dave runs a Camera Repair business out of his home in Chelsea. I had an issue with my Canon T3i having a small eyelash on the sensor. Dave quoted me a $65 Sensor cleaning if he couldn't simply remove the hair with some compressed air. He was able to dislodge the hair with some compressed air, and therefore charged me nothing for his time. This is the type of person you'd like to do business with. A Handshake and a smile, and quality workmanship displayed throughout his shop. Great experience.

nikolas k: really great place, i came in with no appointment- the kind man behind the counter was knowledgeable and fixed my phone in less than 10 minutes and it was much cheaper than expected and everything works great!
Franek Orlowski: Terrible repair service. I came in with an iPhone 11 Pro with a cracked screen and asked for an OLED screen replacement specifically (there a huge difference between an OLED and LCD). Well I revived an LCD, a cheap one at that. The blacks look like dark blues, and it’s honestly hard to watch content anymore. I also got a screen replacement with a large bezel on the button about 2 times as large as the factory one, which looks super cheap and bad. I clarified with the staff that the screen I would be receiving would be “exactly as the one which I originally had, just not from Apple.” Yeah, it wasn’t from Apple, and it was fairly obvious. For $200 I expected WAYY more. This is the worst repair shop out there. ‼️‼️DONT GO HERE ‼️‼️

Vazir Fatehi: Got a new battery installed on my Samsung Galaxy S8 in Aug 2019 (original battery ran well for 2 years but had experienced fast discharge and an inability to fast-charge) over the last few months. Happy with their service - the quality of the installation is good and the phone is back to original state. The installation takes time because the glue takes a while to dry out and the batteries are glued to the screen in the S8, so schedule an appointment online, get the $10 discount and drop-off the phone for either a few hours or else overnight and they'll have it ready for you in the span of 6 hours or less.
