Crystal Thrall: I broke the screen connection on my phone, and they fixed it and returned it to me in the same day. They were friendly, and I think the price was reasonable.
Margit Burmeister: My phone of a brand not available to buy in the US went black, I came to the store at 5.15 pm, he said he can get the new LED screen next day but couldn't guarantee before 4 pm because of a flight I was about to take. At noon next day they called that it was repaired! Although expensive this was super service!

Shalonda Jemison: I own a Samsung Tab A7 and forgot the lockscreen password. After searching on YouTube, I attempted to unlock the device with factory reset to no avail. Then I went to a local "Big Box" store and the squad wasn't able to unlock the tablet. Still having hope, I searched online for a tablet repair shop and found A2 Phone Repair. The technician was so friendly over the phone, and gave a quote for the repair. When I went to the store I was greeted upon entering with a warm smile and cute doggy sitting off to the left of the desk. Quick fix and the tablet was ready the next day. If you're having issues with tablets locked, I highly recommend A2 Phone Repair.

I came in for a data recovery on a water damaged iphone and he was able to recover all my stuff in no time flat. And even though I forgot some passwords along the way he was able to find a way to transfer my data to my new phone. Even offered to fix the damaged one for a low charge but I needed to upgrade anyway. Very funny guy as well.

Kevin Tocco: Long story short another 5 stariHub is a great place to visit if you are interested in taking apart your phone but don't want to give money to amazon just to replace your battery. If you need a screen replaced Tyler at iHub is the guy to go to. What I mean is iHub has a self repair station you can rent and an expert to ask for help or just fix your issue for you!(I have to admit I had an even worse problem with data / antenna issues on a galaxy android that required me to go ultimately go with Genius CPR way across town for more expertise in Data and Androids for the more complicated issue.)However this does not ultimately take away any stars from my 5 star review because of the self repair station, positive, humble and excellent customer service, on site complimentary TYPEWRITER, water, Pac Man / Galaga machines, the dog, and not to mention a bunch of refurbished/used phones for sale for a solid price all within walking distance from North Campus AA

He was able to tell me that the last repairer (at a different shop) didn’t do it probably, which was why my phone kept over heating. Their work here is top notch! They do all types of repairs beyond cosmetics, and will get your products working good as new. They have super low prices for AirPods and iPhones! Every screen repair comes with a free nano coating! I will only be getting my repairs done here going forward.

He immediately knew what the issue was, and on top of that, suggested fixing the broken glass would up my trade-in value as well. Turns out my phone wasn't working because of a minor glitch, and he only charged me time/labor to fix it. Was ready within a few days and excellent service - would absolutely recommend this place!

nikolas k: really great place, i came in with no appointment- the kind man behind the counter was knowledgeable and fixed my phone in less than 10 minutes and it was much cheaper than expected and everything works great!
Franek Orlowski: Terrible repair service. I came in with an iPhone 11 Pro with a cracked screen and asked for an OLED screen replacement specifically (there a huge difference between an OLED and LCD). Well I revived an LCD, a cheap one at that. The blacks look like dark blues, and it’s honestly hard to watch content anymore. I also got a screen replacement with a large bezel on the button about 2 times as large as the factory one, which looks super cheap and bad. I clarified with the staff that the screen I would be receiving would be “exactly as the one which I originally had, just not from Apple.” Yeah, it wasn’t from Apple, and it was fairly obvious. For $200 I expected WAYY more. This is the worst repair shop out there. ‼️‼️DONT GO HERE ‼️‼️

Vazir Fatehi: Got a new battery installed on my Samsung Galaxy S8 in Aug 2019 (original battery ran well for 2 years but had experienced fast discharge and an inability to fast-charge) over the last few months. Happy with their service - the quality of the installation is good and the phone is back to original state. The installation takes time because the glue takes a while to dry out and the batteries are glued to the screen in the S8, so schedule an appointment online, get the $10 discount and drop-off the phone for either a few hours or else overnight and they'll have it ready for you in the span of 6 hours or less.

Anna Lam: I'm so happy to have my fully-functioning MacBook back! I partially live in this thing.HOW I DAMAGED MY MACBOOK:I accidentally spilled water on the trackpad while vacationing in Iceland. Just FYI for others experiencing the same problem - almost immediately, I flipped my laptop upside down to prevent more water from flowing into the laptop. For the next couple of days, I had it mostly open and upside down overnight (during the day, this was more challenging as I was traveling). Because the M1 MacBooks turn on at the touch of any button, it turned on a couple of times. Immediately, the trackpad didn't work. Two days later, the keyboard stopped working as well. The MacBook was still able to turn on. I was super sad about this in the middle of my trip in Iceland, but it was what it was.SEEKING REPAIR SERVICES & QUOTES:5 days later, I was in Ann Arbor calling places to see if they could fix my water-damaged Macbook. Apple, who is notoriously unforgiving about water damage, quoted me $900 (regardless of what needed to be replaced). Apple and Oranges quoted me a minimum of $300 or so ($50 - 150 more if the trackpad or keyboard needed replacing). iRepair quoted me $300 for everything (including trackpad and keyboard replacement if needed).EXPERIENCE WITH ALEX @ UNIVERSITY PHONE & MAC REPAIR:And then I finally came across A2 Computers and Alex at University Phone & Mac Repair. They were honest, transparent, and affordable. My Macbook didn't make it to Alex until over a week after the water damage. Once it was in his hands, he communicated with me throughout the repair process. After looking at my MacBook on a Wednesday morning, Alex provided me a quote (more affordable than what was quoted to me by any other company) and asked if I wished to continue prior to making any repairs. He explained that the trackpad needed to be replaced and that it would take 1-2 days to order. It was all done in a timely matter by Friday night that same week and I couldn't have been any happier!!!ALEX PROVIDES THE BEST COMPUTER REPAIR SERVICE EVER.

Got my phone fixed here; had a small issue that I was afraid might cause me to need to replace they device, but these guys offered to take the phone apart and get it addressed, free of charge! The final result is a repair that's as good as brand new!

Lol) whole thing was cracked throughout. I also replaced my battery ( which was 50% off since they had to open my phone up anyway- nice savings! And a $10 coupon thrown in).I was supposed to run over on lunch and couldn't make it, stopped in after work, 430ish and they still finished my phone by closing at 7.Now as long as it all holds up lol.Good place to go.@

C. Dale Whitehurst: Long story short, they pressured me into buying their membership for $200. I told them that it's more than likely a hardware problem in my computer and they assured me that they could help. The first time I brought it in they deleted my operating system Windows 10 pro and told me that they could not reinstall it. Then after bringing it back again, all they did was reinstall the operating system. It's literally all they did. I brought it back three times and each time they acted so smug about fixing it. My computer still freezes all the time. I also bought the computer at Best buy and they " can't do anything about it" needless to say I'm done with Best buy done with geek squad. Horrible horrible experience.

My laptop quit communicating with any network and I couldn't do a software or driver update without the internet. I took it in to Geek Squad and they fixed it on the spot without an appointment. Jan Mata: Took my computer in for 'light' maintenance, but had already Paid for Norton for one year. When I picked it up they had un-installed my paid Norton Subscription, and installed webroot without asking me. Plus it had a virus and my usb mouse was no longer working. I was told in order to fix it it was necessary to wipe my computer, and re-install windows 10. By doing so I would lose all my paid for software installed including Adobe Photoshop, and my Cad Software. I told them NO!!! NEVER AGAIN!! Will I EVER take any of my electronics to the geeksquad idiots!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Polly Anna Burnette: I have had positive experiences at other Geek Squad locations, but a very negative experience at this Ann Arbor location. I was told conflicting things by the same associate at the same interaction. Everyone I have spoken to seems to be 20 years old and not 100% confident in what they are telling me or the policies of the store. This has made me very uncomfortable and distrusting of the information they gave me; I feel like that are just spinning tales to placate me. I received an email asking me to call them to give more information on my computer. I called and was put on hold and then hung up/ disconnected TWICE. When I finally got a hold of someone I feel as though they only spoke with me because I was so disgruntled by then. When I did come to pick up my computer they told me that my computer was shipped out to California and then that it was done in store. They lost my original hard dive and couldn't confidently tell me if it was at HP or in store. I got the feeling the information I was getting from them was not reliable and they where not really clear on what actually had happened to my computer while in their care. When I finally got my computer home and looked it over, the rubber grips on the bottom of the computer, which where firmly in place from the manufacturer when dropped off, came back to me pealing off and one had looked like it was glued back on but off center and out of place. I have an expectation that when I send my computer in for repairs it will not come back to me looking worst cosmetically! Additionally, a screw was not screwed down all the way and there appeared to be new small dings on the back. I am displeased with all my interactions at the Ann Arbor location.

Jacob Herget: this review only relates to the geek squad at this location. I have a custom PC so the geek squad membership seemed like a good idea. I took my computer to this geek squad and they turned me away because apparently they aren't setup to take my pc and do maintenance even though I had all the resources they needed. this is the only geek squad that's ever done this to me and incredibly dissapointed. Will never go back there.
