Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Klono: Absolutely an amazing place
Edward LaRue: I go to Alcoholics Anonymous here at Vineyard on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm. Great meeting, lead discussion followed by shares.
John Smith: I go there for an AA meeting on Tuesday night 730pm
Kris Griffin: Had ice cream after service, chocolate was a favorite, had to try vanilla with chocolate syrup as a coffee float.
Elizabeth Guerrero: All are not welcome, only those who fit there idea. You have one job and you failed
Meghan Allen: Don't believe the "welcome to all" narrative. The now-Senior pastor outted a former pastor there and split the church because of his own homophobia. The former Senior Pastor and founder of the church did the right and Christian thing, left with her and founded a new congregation that actually practices what he preaches.Welcome to all cishet people would be a more accurate description.
Laron L Bean: Nice and friendly services
Robert Wolfe: I've been coming to Vineyard for decades, and have many friends there. It is my church home.
JUST A LOGICAL LAD: both the school and the church....awful.
B Kim Mauldin, Jr: Our new church home. Very welcoming from day one. Always teaching God's Word. Diverse congregation
Trooper Long: Lovely space - had a great experience here
Helen Bryant: Found Peace within Myself
Angie Cosma: This is my home church and very welcoming and want to hear your story.
The Hatchetgamer: Amazing Church caring people very helpful in community even do a Thanksgiving dinner every year which turns out always to be amazing
Sandra Lovejoy: Great Church
David Wheeler: Great church with great community. Very welcoming. Sunday services are at 930 and 1115 with coffee and doughnuts served in between.
Brett Cosner: This church really wants to forget the past and poise it's self as a "multicultural, multigenerational, diverse church welcoming to all", however in 2014 they voted to fire a pastor because she confirmed that she was in a relationship with a women. The founding pastor Ken Wilson, stood by her side and resigned. Donnell turned his back on Ken and Emily and used the opportunity to become the acting senior pastor. If you are at all concerned about the acceptance of the LGBT community in the church, please don't attend the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor. Ken was working to bring acceptance towards the LGBT community, he welcomed them into the church and it's unacceptable to me that Donnell used that risk and vulnerability to his personal advantage.Update: I noticed that they have removed the words “welcoming to all” from their welcome statement. How sad that they would rather change the statement than their stance towards the LGBT community.
JADE H: I cannot recommend Ann Arbor Vineyard highly enough! When I moved to the area I didn't know anyone, but within a few weeks of attending Vineyard, I was able to plug into this new community. Spirit-filled worship and a diverse, multi-generational congregation.
Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber: We started going to the Vineyard in 2007/8, it is a great community of believers and we love it!
Glen Hillaker: I have attended for +30 years and still love it
Jackie Page: Great church to learn about Jesus if you have questions and also if you are looking for a church home!!!

2|42 Community Church | Ann Arbor Campus: what do users think?
Heaven: I was visiting Michigan & I went here & it was really beautiful!! The worship & praise & the ambiance was just really beautiful. The teaching/ preaching was perfectly done & timely. I’d visit again when next I visit!
william fairful III: Nice, friendly church
NELSEN: Wonderful place to interact with others while the children have fun.
Jeffrey Buchanan: Sermons based on Scripture with talented teachers. Lots of small groups to dig deeper into God's Word and connect with the Christian community.
AC1: It's pretty cool!
Joseph Perry: It was greeeeeaaaaat!!
Philip David: Awesome church, great kids program and an indoor playground open all week to the public, the worship rocks, literally and the Spirit is there, preachers rotate and worship leaders so it's always fresh
David Oswald: The Experience was Awesome, Awesome!!! Want to be able to do it again, how about every month? Not Once A Year!!!
Emilee Kloster: Lots of space for the kids to get their engery out! Fun slides and equipment to play on too.
Sarah Woo: Fun indoor place for children to play.
Clint Lemasters: Wonderful, family friendly community center. Our kids enjoyed playing and I enjoyed coffee from their coffee shop.
Tony Hessenthaler: Always fun and clean - open to everyone. They got rid of the foam pit during Covid. Check the schedule before going.Indoor playground area and astroturf area for kids to play any time of year, often a kids movie playing in background. They allow outside food & drink, but also have a little cafe. We've never encountered any religious pressure or proselytizing while there, but their church materials are available for those interested.
Isabella W: Great indoor playground for kids ages 2-12. Perfect spot to get run around when it's cold outside.
Lana .Kov.S.: Really nice Holliday decoration, we wrote a letters to Santa))))
Philip Burtt: Always friendly faces on a Sunday morning! Great place to come throughout the week with your kiddos too! Awesome play area!
Melinda Keillor: Enjoy the service & commitment to community. Love the prayer app. Friendly. Welcoming. Open to new ideas.
Roberto Velázquez: Muy buena iglesia
Mike Toler: My second time here haven't been to church in years. My life need some change and it started with coming here. Great people great community ill be back next week it's worth the drive. The coffee is good too lol.
Patrick Meyer: Great place for kids and to find community!
Eric Thompson: I've moved a lot so I've been to a ton of churches and I must say this one it's not like any other church I've been to it's awesome. Not to mention the people there are incredibly friendly almost like family I feel. Definitely found the church I'll be at every Sunday.
Stephanie Trax: I didn't want to love 242. We had been attending another church for over 10 years, but visited 242 a few times. Each time, I couldn't stop thinking about the message or the service for days and sometimes weeks. Over the pandemic we started watching the services on tv. We ingested what we heard and noticed it was having an effect on our lives...reading the bible more, praying more, changing things. It just seemed like there was fruit of the holy spirit that we couldn't ignore. So we made the hard decision to switch churches and I'm thankful we did. And of course there's the added perk of great coffee and a play structure for the kids:). That's just icing on the already awesome cake, though! (oh and just a note, it took me awhile to discover there is a great hiking trail in Saginaw woods right next door...for outdoor enthusiasts, it's a nice place to get out in nature after the service!).

The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor: what do users think?
M Mcconnell: We were invited to sign prayer for Ukraine very gracious host
Kelly Norman: This pipe organ is beautiful. And a delight to listen to.
Mandolinman58: Loved my visit here.
Quinn Lowen: Great church. Beautiful windows.
kat: As I was traveling for work, I came across this church in Ann Arbor. While I did not go inside, I was so impressed with their display of the colored doors proclaiming “Gods doors are open to all”. It warmed my heart and I could not have been more proud with their statement!
Pam Dabbs: If you haven't seen the Sunday School in this church, it is a sight to behold and so creative in its design! It looks like you are living during the time of Jesus....such a magical place, bound to inspire the imagination of each child who enters as to what it might have been like during the life of Jesus! At the beginning of the church service, children are invited to join one of the ministers during "Children's Circle" at the front of the church. After a brief bible lesson, they are asked to go with their teachers down to the wonderful Sunday School area. It is a great church to help your child gain a religious foundation, which will serve him/her for years to come. Helping others and having a "giving" heart are important lessons learned here...a special church indeed!
The Hatchetgamer: Wonderful church and very giving to the less fortunate
Ann Hanson: Warm, welcoming church for all ages. Traditional service at 10am in classic main sanctuary with 1800s origins.
Brian Roberts: First Congregational Church is very friendly and the sanctuary is very peaceful.
Jay Rogers: This is a great church, inside and out. They are welcoming, moral, inclusive, and determined to teach people how to live life in communion with Christ. I had a great time visiting here. There are many activities for the youth & also a beautiful sanctuary.

Grace Bible Church: what do users think?
j w: Relaxed air. Lots of friends meeting up at service. Lots of young adults which was lovely. Worship was beautiful, sermon had good life application and Christ centered message.
Alice Fox: This is my home church, great pastors
Stephany Durling: The bible and Jesus! ❤️
Pride Daigle: They listen to you and want you to be a member
Brenda Terpstra: Bible-based, Christ-honoring, sermons with modern worship music and a wonderful congregation serving God together.
Keenan Ylen: This is my favorite church! Amazing worship community and teaching!
Honest Reviews: This is by far one of the best church's I have attended. I travel over 40min to get there because its that good. The church is functioning as a church should. They are all about seeing people come to the Lord and growing as a christian. They have a fantastic youth program from pre-k through high school. They also have small groups and a lot of neat church functions to get to know the staff and church body. The worship is always amazing and so encouraging! I highly recommend this church because wherever you are at in life they will welcome you in as Christ welcomes us into His family.
Bess Reeverts: Very good music. Service was excellent. Clean and considerate.
David Reeverts: Service in the afternoon had a great praise band. Pastor had a great Easter message!
Deborah P: The music is consistently too quiet so that people barely sing. Each time I visit I wish the band would know this. It's not helpful to hear other people in the way one might imagine. Because this is not a capella style. This music is made with instruments and voices together and meant to be heard. Meant to lead everyone in praise, not 1/3 of the place.People just don't sing out as a result. The Bible says to make a joyful noise, to shout to the Lord. But it feels like the music fills only part of the space and by the time sound reaches the back row one can carry on a conversation at normal volume. I kid you not, people do not sing in the back because the sound doesn't reach. It sounds like singing a solo and who wants that pressure!? I have sat in the middle, the back, and the front. Only the front has decent, full sound. It's sad because the services are usually well-attended everytime I visit and there could be the beautiful sound of uplifted voices. Instead it's a giant let-down.
Suzette Hammond: Nice
Andrew Ward: Member here. Great place. Bible following Jesus lead church.
Paul Beckman: Creative biblical teaching and really quite good worship. Grace has a pretty simple service, just over an hour in length. Maybe a bit too short for me, but probably fit a lot of peoples idea of what a service should be. An excellent church for evangelical believers.
Timothy Toth: My name is Timothy Toth I had a very unfortunate incident take place in my life someone stabbed three of my tires on my car which was very very devastating I called the church for assistance they could not assist me monetarily they were there to assist me with information to find those that could help me like Friends In Deed when I talked to the lady on the phone she was very kind and helpful thank you for the help that you offered me and the assistance that you giving me to go and get my tires taking care of I went to Discount Tires Friends In Deed were willing to pay for them but I talked to the manager from Discount Tires and we prayed and my prayer was answered Discount Tires paid for the tires I am grateful that you are there for those that are seeking not only God but seeking help
Uche George-Nwogu: Wonderful place to grow in your faith. Awesome Spirit filled worship and thought provoking sermons.
Michael Kman: Really nice place
Louis Probst: Friendly people, great music and Pastors (especially Pastor Ty) with a practical and current approach to Jesus, God, and the bible.
Stephanie Roosa: Wonderful church with a bit of a modern touch, but still keeping it classic. Children's ministry is wonderful, church service is always on point, and women's ministry is a great time to connect with other women in the church. Warm and welcoming - always has fresh coffee, hot chocolate, or tea. Very enjoyable and worthy of more stars!
Neil Plasters: I feel at peace
Peter Balanecki: Great place to worship God. The people are friendly.
Mark Gallagher: Sweet

Blue Ocean Faith Church Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Erica C: We stopped in here today for the first time, we were welcomed by many people and the Pastor sought is out after the sermon to introduce herself and personally welcome us. The message was great and really spoke to me, music was wonderful and it was the most welcoming church I have ever attended. Will be back!
Jessica Fahlgren: Very loving safe place for Everyone, lgbtq welcoming
Steve Gray: Friendly open and affirming congregation
Mortar Shel: All inclusive, everyone is welcome. No hidden caveats, just love for all people no matter what! When Ghandi said he liked our christ, but our Christian's weren't very christ like, he was very much NOT talking about this church. The pastors, workers, and attendees are the kind of people Gandi would be proud of. Active in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as outreach for marginalized people in our area, homeless, POC, Youth, etc. Love is the way things are handled. Everyone welcome. I love this place.
heidi thornbladh: Welcoming and warm
Nancy Broadway: All are welcome! All are inspired!
Michael Liemohn: I really like the long-form slogan of Blue Ocean Faith Ann Arbor: "a Jesus, Spirit, Scripture, science, all-people friendly church." I particularly like that "science" word in there. At BOFA2, I can talk honestly and openly about climate physics and environmental stewardship, topics that we are called to care about. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the music is fantastic, the service is modern yet with many traditional elements, and the sermons are deep yet real.
Lori Skibbe: This is a special place, with warm and loving people. Blue Ocean works to be as inclusive as possible. When my son drove in using his power wheelchair, the congregation rearranged their seating plan, so that he can benefit more from the service. He is also fully included in youth activities, as are several other children with disabilities.
Rob Smith: A 'Church' geared soley to the LGTBQ community and no one else. Christ comes in a distant second in this place.
Bradley Humphries: This is the Church for you if you have been disillusioned by what modern evangelicalism has become.
Molly Morton: What a beautiful, compassionate, open, and joyful community of people! This is a church that truly believes that all people are made in God's image, and as a result is one of the most loving and thoughtful church home I have ever known. Fully LGBTQ inclusive. Creative children's program. Casual and friendly. Good mix of traditional, contemporary, smart and accessible. Excited to meet and involve newcomers (you won't feel new for long...I'm horribly shy and and I always feel confident and wanted when I'm there!). One of the few places I've ever been that truly and eagerly embraces everyone.
Essen Pea: Home.
Marsha Ladd: I am so glad to have found a place where everyone, including my gay son, is welcome and affirming in all capacities. I am connected to the Sunday service via online streaming of the Sunday service. I love the music, the genuine warmth of the pastors, their great sermons and wonderful music! I'm just bummed that I don't live close enough to attend regularly. I hope to visit in person sometime soon.
Sue: A great church. I love the services, the people and the music.
Carla Huff: It's such an awesome church. The pastors are phenomenal and the people are wonderful.
Mike Morton: Blue Ocean is an LGBTQ inclusive, affirming, seeker friendly, Jesus loving church. It is a great community of people who are trying their best to live out what Jesus called the two greatest commandments.
Lisa C: After having tried out 11 + churches in Washtenaw County, I found Blue Ocean Faith. Three years later I'm still proud to call it my spiritual home. The environment is safe, loving & welcoming to ALL.If you're looking for a church that is centered on Jesus' teachings, regardless of where you are in your faith journey, this place will be for you. Both Pastors bring diversified perspective into weekly sermons based on real-life experiences and theologically rich backgrounds. Their passion for the Lord is infectious and their humor is refreshing. The Worship music is amazing! If you're feeling down or simply want to be lifted in the Holy Spirit, the music will carry you.Let's not forget, the dress attire is casual! Wear what makes you feel comfortable. :)I promise no matter who you are, you will leave this place feeling and being better.Conservative, liberal, straight, gay, white, black, brown, Christian, non-Christian, etcetera... you will be welcomed!
Laura Schram: We struggled to find a church in Ann Arbor that is truly inclusive of LGBTQ folks, and are grateful to have a home at Blue Ocean. The music is contemporary worship and each sermon typically ends with a meditation, which I love. Our family has young children, and the children’s ministry is also a warm and welcoming place.
Happy Playmore: Great service and excepting all seeking faith

First Baptist Church of Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Bruce Popejoy: What a beautiful church! Very warm and accepting church.
Alice Fox: Helps the homeless
Ashley Magers: I never imagined I would willingly attend a Baptist Church, and yet, over 2 years since entering FBC for the first time, our family has not looked back! The focus on love and social justice for all ages is central to each week's prayers and messages, and our entire family (ages 2-35) has grown in our faith since attending here. My children love Time as Children and Church School led by Pastor Xan Morgan, and they have always felt very like the important members of the church that they are! In addition to embracing children rather than shushing them, doubters, seekers, and lifelong Christians from various denominations across the lifespan have gathered in this inclusive church, and it is such a refreshing community.
grace vandervliet: We appreciate opportunities for our family to live out the mission of the church -- to feed the poor, to shelter those without homes, to care for children. First Baptist Church preaches concrete service -- we know that we're all in need, we all are living in community. And they provide clear ways to step up and be present with each other. In this era, it's easy to live in a niche, with people our own ages and who hold similar beliefs. Church is one place where we can embrace those from other generations, economic situations, and backgrounds.
Janice Stumpf: Don't let the name concern you! This church is not what you might think of when you think "Baptist".Truly inclusive of EVERYONE in all aspects of church life. It's a great place to worship and a welcoming, non-scary community--no matter where you are on your faith journey!
Amanda Shutko: I had been searching for a church that is authentically committed to Jesus's example (and instruction) to prioritize love and acceptance as the foundation on which we build our faith, one that understands that taking up the issues of social justice is part of that commitment. This was a surprisingly challenging search, as I found many churches to have caveats as to what acceptance looks like or willing to support charitable missions but afraid to talk about the very issues related to root causes that create the need. When I witnessed Pastor Paul and Stacey gracefully and unequivocally hit the mark on both fronts, I knew I had finally found my "church home". Thanks for bringing me into the fold and enabling me to celebrate my Christianity through love and acceptance.
Allen Steele: Good people.
Jung Eun: I filled out the form in the church web site to visit the church some time ago, I have not received any response. They asked you to fill out the formand ignore your effort. Be true to yourself whoever is responsible to this matter for the future purpose.
Phillip Hairston: Always very polite clean....and helpful parking is good
Thomas Baker: Found this church going to AA meetings
thomas lockett: Freedinners
shiv patel: AA meetings
Evelyn Sugden: Helping the vets, homeless for over 50 years
Ingrid Ford: I've been attending First Baptist since I was in the 6th grade. I am proud that our church is a welcoming church to all walks of people. FCBA2 has a great choir and the pastors are absolutely phenomenal preachers! You will literally not get this experience anywhere else. If you're thinking about attending, definitely give it a go. The church is also very active in mission work both locally and internationally. We are all more than welcome to answer any questions you might have.
sharron a Kniffen: Kind
Bilz Debub: I go here
The Hatchetgamer: Wonderful church service dinner every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. I give for though because sometimes you should check your food before you eat it
Deborah Bailey: A very friendly, warm place of worship
Geoffrey Halliday: They are so inviting.
Joe LaGalo: Romans 12:16... Your choir director has either never read this or is just another fake Christian giving the church a bad name.Petty, spiteful and vindictive people like this being the face of a church is why younger generations are turning away from the faith.
charles smith: Had a Christmas party here nice ppl

Andrew Burghardt: Very practical and applicable sermons.
Chris Brenner: Love it they are so loving and welcoming to me
Valerie Gross: Honest people trying to follow God together. Thankful for the authenticity and the desire to follow the Holy Spirit!
Matt W: I'm so thankful God brought me to this church :) God is at work at Ann Arbor Baptist Church and you will hear God's Word clearly preached here!
No Gravity Bounce House: This Place is full of good hearted humans and they make me feel like im at home everytime im here 💙💛💙💛 thank you guys for being amazing!!
Erin Parris: Beautiful church and wonderful preaching. They have a nursing room for mothers, cribs and white noise machines for sleeping babies, and a nursery for both toddlers and infants. Everyone was so friendly. Will be going back soon.
Trandafir Moisa: Love this church.
R: I really enjoy it when they have Gatherings and when they sing :)
Derrrick Martin: Good word preaching. People are nice.
Samuel Joshua: Amazing place where God is doing exciting things.
CJ Elwood: This is a place where my family can grow together. There is something for every age and the messages are biblical and practical. It's like a family.
Benjamin Allen: Great people
Jane Dillard: The new Pastor is so transparent and authentic! The Overcomer's Group has really helped other attendee's and especially me with a range of problems only a bible believing church and God and fellowship with other Christians could. God has blessed me with this church and these people.
Simon Joshua: I've been attending here since I was a child because my parents joined in the eighties. This ministry is thriving, personally and as a whole. The atmosphere is alive with the fragrance of Christ!
Jay Rogers: Great church! The pastor preaches with passion, gets the congregation involved with fill in the blank questions about faith/Bible, and inspires people to be more Christ-like. The pews are great, the service had amazing piano, it has a sign language interpreter, and the leaders care about your personal development. I recommend this - good Christian experience!
Timothy Kimmel: I attended Ann Arbor Baptist Church from the age of 14 (with my parents) until the age of 28 (with my wife and children). I personally found the church to be incredibly helpful to me in my formative years. The church definitely wasn't perfect, reason being: it was made up of imperfect people just like me! The majority (as i cannot speak for every member) were all involved with encouraging each other to become more Christ-like.Did I ever hear the pastor preach anything unBiblical? No.Did the preaching, music and worship reflect Biblical principles and seek to Glorify God and not seek to just please men? Yes.Would i recommend the church to folks living in the area? Certainly!I have attended a different church for the past 3 years now (due to location) and still head back to AABC for special services and have maintained friendships with many that attend there currently.

Tikyra Williams: The people is amazing there I love coming there I always feel welcome
Kyle Newmeyer: Great piano , great musician, fine pastor.
Timothy Toth: Journey of Faith has been a great benefit to those that are in need the people that are at the church that manage and volunteer are great-hearted people I appreciate the fact that I live around the corner from them I'm kind of skeptical in churches but journey of Faith removes any doubt they are truly believers of the faith and they do wonders for the community I am grateful that they are here and I pray that they stay for the duration of time take my word for it I know that the pastor which is a female knows what she's talking about I have yet to be at one of the Sunday masses but that is my loss one day I will go there I'm sure that it would be worth going so two thumbs up
matt ousley: A wonderful place, truly helps there community
Mildred Williams: Needs somewhere to eat the breakfast meals in the church
Bobbi Kopeck: There is so much to be said about this place. They have a heart so big and beautiful it will stun you. There community outreach into so many areas I don't know where to begin. If you get a chance stop by talk with them, go to a service, you won't be disappointed.
