Grace Ann Arbor Church: what do users think?
Jimmy Hester: If you want the religion of wokeness disguised as Christianity, this is the place for you.If you want the genuine, challenging word of Jesus, go elsewhere.
Jane Deng: I did not grow up Christian, so the thing I like about this church is that it is a good mix of lifelong believers, people who've gotten disillusioned and come back to the church, new believers, and seekers. I also like that the pastor reminds us that it's the daily little things we do that ultimately help us grow in faith, instead of those big monumental life choices. In short, make choices that cultivate kindness, pay attention to people around you, and decide to be honest about who your are (and what you are not) and authentic about your struggles. He's well-read but also makes references to pop culture, so I think his messages appeal to a wide audience. I've been attending for 6 years, which is the longest i've attended any church. There are actually 2 other locations each with their own pastor, all of whom are great - approachable, humorous, and down to earth. However, they do have different styles of preaching and different worship teams, so if you enjoy variety but want to stay with the current sermon series, it's nice to pop over to one of the other campuses.
Mark Bracey: I am so happy to know Christine Anderson and of all the wonderful work she does with Grace Church to better our community!! keep up the great work, Christine!!
Regina Addington: Warm, welcoming, open...and expanded!
Pided Piper: first time there but I felt right at home very similar to a church I went to for years in White Lake Michigan even has the same name Grace these are authentic Christ followers the best kind them out pretending they're saved they are being saved by being together and Commenity with Christ the head oh and the feet and everything else or he is all we need and the source of our salvation and we are saved by grace he gives us if we believe but what else can we do once he gets inside of us there's no running away anymore so it's nice to have a church and be in the body of Christ it's the only way for authentic living at least then in my opinion it's all about family a family of God it's hard to find good churches but I think I found one
Ryan C: I always love the message and community at this church. Would recommend to anybody looking for a church!
Hunter Greenfield: Wonderful, welcoming place to worship. We have really enjoyed seeing our daughter thrive thanks to the children's ministry team.
Payton James: I highly recommend this church, whether you’re a seasoned church-attender or it’s your first time, it’s a genuine experience of what church is supposed to be. It’s a welcoming community of everyone, no matter what. Grace Ann Arbor has so many incredible missional partners locally as well as around the US and the whole world. Getting connected to small groups, serving in the kids ministry or the greeting team are all great opportunities to get involved with the community and get connected.
Don Bromley: I’ve been attending Grace Ann Arbor since the Fall of 2013. I absolutely love the simplicity, authenticity, and generosity demonstrated by the staff and leaders. It’s been a fantastic place for me and for my family.
Livio Silva: Nice Structure and staffing
Andres Calvachi: This is a great church in town. The pastors always deliver the message on point.
Christine Anderson: The very first time I visited Grace Ann Arbor, I felt so welcomed. They immediately made me feel at home and got me plugged in. It's an amazing community of believers truly dedicated to the message of the Gospel.
David Reeverts: Very good church with pastor that preaches from the bible
Madelyn Clark: From the moment I stepped into the doors at Grace Ann Arbor, I felt at home, and I continue to love the community cultivated here.
Brooke Avon: Grace Ann Arbor Church has such a welcoming environment. Also a great place for kids!
Jane Park: We have been regularly attending Grace Ann Arbor since 2014, and became members a couple of years ago. Finding a solid community in a new area was challenging when we moved to Michigan from southern California nearly seven years ago. But we were welcomed at Grace, and soon after empowered and encouraged to serve in various ways. Today, some of our closest friends are fellow Grace members. The children and youth ministry is wonderful, led by staff and volunteers who are dedicated to the teaching of the Gospel. The leadership team is thoughtful and intentional, embraces diversity and inclusion, and is transparent and forthcoming with the congregation. Above all, this is a church that aims to be Christ-centered in all things. More than just a gathering spot on Sundays, Grace is a place where non-believers, new believers, and returning church-goers alike have a seat at the table of Christ, from which we're sent out into our respective communities to "go and be the church."If you are curious about the message of Jesus, if you have felt rejected or marginalized by the Church, if you are looking to rededicate yourself to the gospel, if you are looking for a church that's more than "just church," I hope you'll give Grace a try.
Sarah Tankson: I really Love the atmosphere all around. I didn't have to search for anything but the location. I made it to church but my wheelchair broke down on the way back. I was able to listen to the sermon and I really enjoyed the true dedication to God, that was in the church. It was a total different experience of worship without gossip. Many churches really need vans to help the disabled get to church. I really felt the presence of God everywhere. More support systems and funding needs to go to awesome churches like these, in our area.

Heaven: I was visiting Michigan & I went here & it was really beautiful!! The worship & praise & the ambiance was just really beautiful. The teaching/ preaching was perfectly done & timely. I’d visit again when next I visit!
william fairful III: Nice, friendly church
NELSEN: Wonderful place to interact with others while the children have fun.
Jeffrey Buchanan: Sermons based on Scripture with talented teachers. Lots of small groups to dig deeper into God's Word and connect with the Christian community.
AC1: It's pretty cool!
Joseph Perry: It was greeeeeaaaaat!!
Philip David: Awesome church, great kids program and an indoor playground open all week to the public, the worship rocks, literally and the Spirit is there, preachers rotate and worship leaders so it's always fresh
David Oswald: The Experience was Awesome, Awesome!!! Want to be able to do it again, how about every month? Not Once A Year!!!
Emilee Kloster: Lots of space for the kids to get their engery out! Fun slides and equipment to play on too.
Sarah Woo: Fun indoor place for children to play.
Clint Lemasters: Wonderful, family friendly community center. Our kids enjoyed playing and I enjoyed coffee from their coffee shop.
Tony Hessenthaler: Always fun and clean - open to everyone. They got rid of the foam pit during Covid. Check the schedule before going.Indoor playground area and astroturf area for kids to play any time of year, often a kids movie playing in background. They allow outside food & drink, but also have a little cafe. We've never encountered any religious pressure or proselytizing while there, but their church materials are available for those interested.
Isabella W: Great indoor playground for kids ages 2-12. Perfect spot to get run around when it's cold outside.
Lana .Kov.S.: Really nice Holliday decoration, we wrote a letters to Santa))))
Philip Burtt: Always friendly faces on a Sunday morning! Great place to come throughout the week with your kiddos too! Awesome play area!
Melinda Keillor: Enjoy the service & commitment to community. Love the prayer app. Friendly. Welcoming. Open to new ideas.
Roberto Velázquez: Muy buena iglesia
Mike Toler: My second time here haven't been to church in years. My life need some change and it started with coming here. Great people great community ill be back next week it's worth the drive. The coffee is good too lol.
Patrick Meyer: Great place for kids and to find community!
Eric Thompson: I've moved a lot so I've been to a ton of churches and I must say this one it's not like any other church I've been to it's awesome. Not to mention the people there are incredibly friendly almost like family I feel. Definitely found the church I'll be at every Sunday.
Stephanie Trax: I didn't want to love 242. We had been attending another church for over 10 years, but visited 242 a few times. Each time, I couldn't stop thinking about the message or the service for days and sometimes weeks. Over the pandemic we started watching the services on tv. We ingested what we heard and noticed it was having an effect on our lives...reading the bible more, praying more, changing things. It just seemed like there was fruit of the holy spirit that we couldn't ignore. So we made the hard decision to switch churches and I'm thankful we did. And of course there's the added perk of great coffee and a play structure for the kids:). That's just icing on the already awesome cake, though! (oh and just a note, it took me awhile to discover there is a great hiking trail in Saginaw woods right next door...for outdoor enthusiasts, it's a nice place to get out in nature after the service!).

Blue Ocean Faith Church Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Erica C: We stopped in here today for the first time, we were welcomed by many people and the Pastor sought is out after the sermon to introduce herself and personally welcome us. The message was great and really spoke to me, music was wonderful and it was the most welcoming church I have ever attended. Will be back!
Jessica Fahlgren: Very loving safe place for Everyone, lgbtq welcoming
Steve Gray: Friendly open and affirming congregation
Mortar Shel: All inclusive, everyone is welcome. No hidden caveats, just love for all people no matter what! When Ghandi said he liked our christ, but our Christian's weren't very christ like, he was very much NOT talking about this church. The pastors, workers, and attendees are the kind of people Gandi would be proud of. Active in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as outreach for marginalized people in our area, homeless, POC, Youth, etc. Love is the way things are handled. Everyone welcome. I love this place.
heidi thornbladh: Welcoming and warm
Nancy Broadway: All are welcome! All are inspired!
Michael Liemohn: I really like the long-form slogan of Blue Ocean Faith Ann Arbor: "a Jesus, Spirit, Scripture, science, all-people friendly church." I particularly like that "science" word in there. At BOFA2, I can talk honestly and openly about climate physics and environmental stewardship, topics that we are called to care about. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the music is fantastic, the service is modern yet with many traditional elements, and the sermons are deep yet real.
Lori Skibbe: This is a special place, with warm and loving people. Blue Ocean works to be as inclusive as possible. When my son drove in using his power wheelchair, the congregation rearranged their seating plan, so that he can benefit more from the service. He is also fully included in youth activities, as are several other children with disabilities.
Rob Smith: A 'Church' geared soley to the LGTBQ community and no one else. Christ comes in a distant second in this place.
Bradley Humphries: This is the Church for you if you have been disillusioned by what modern evangelicalism has become.
Molly Morton: What a beautiful, compassionate, open, and joyful community of people! This is a church that truly believes that all people are made in God's image, and as a result is one of the most loving and thoughtful church home I have ever known. Fully LGBTQ inclusive. Creative children's program. Casual and friendly. Good mix of traditional, contemporary, smart and accessible. Excited to meet and involve newcomers (you won't feel new for long...I'm horribly shy and and I always feel confident and wanted when I'm there!). One of the few places I've ever been that truly and eagerly embraces everyone.
Essen Pea: Home.
Marsha Ladd: I am so glad to have found a place where everyone, including my gay son, is welcome and affirming in all capacities. I am connected to the Sunday service via online streaming of the Sunday service. I love the music, the genuine warmth of the pastors, their great sermons and wonderful music! I'm just bummed that I don't live close enough to attend regularly. I hope to visit in person sometime soon.
Sue: A great church. I love the services, the people and the music.
Carla Huff: It's such an awesome church. The pastors are phenomenal and the people are wonderful.
Mike Morton: Blue Ocean is an LGBTQ inclusive, affirming, seeker friendly, Jesus loving church. It is a great community of people who are trying their best to live out what Jesus called the two greatest commandments.
Lisa C: After having tried out 11 + churches in Washtenaw County, I found Blue Ocean Faith. Three years later I'm still proud to call it my spiritual home. The environment is safe, loving & welcoming to ALL.If you're looking for a church that is centered on Jesus' teachings, regardless of where you are in your faith journey, this place will be for you. Both Pastors bring diversified perspective into weekly sermons based on real-life experiences and theologically rich backgrounds. Their passion for the Lord is infectious and their humor is refreshing. The Worship music is amazing! If you're feeling down or simply want to be lifted in the Holy Spirit, the music will carry you.Let's not forget, the dress attire is casual! Wear what makes you feel comfortable. :)I promise no matter who you are, you will leave this place feeling and being better.Conservative, liberal, straight, gay, white, black, brown, Christian, non-Christian, etcetera... you will be welcomed!
Laura Schram: We struggled to find a church in Ann Arbor that is truly inclusive of LGBTQ folks, and are grateful to have a home at Blue Ocean. The music is contemporary worship and each sermon typically ends with a meditation, which I love. Our family has young children, and the children’s ministry is also a warm and welcoming place.
Happy Playmore: Great service and excepting all seeking faith

Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Edward LaRue: I go to Alcoholics Anonymous here at Vineyard on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm. Great meeting, lead discussion followed by shares.
John Smith: I go there for an AA meeting on Tuesday night 730pm
Kris Griffin: Had ice cream after service, chocolate was a favorite, had to try vanilla with chocolate syrup as a coffee float.
Elizabeth Guerrero: All are not welcome, only those who fit there idea. You have one job and you failed
Meghan Allen: Don't believe the "welcome to all" narrative. The now-Senior pastor outted a former pastor there and split the church because of his own homophobia. The former Senior Pastor and founder of the church did the right and Christian thing, left with her and founded a new congregation that actually practices what he preaches.Welcome to all cishet people would be a more accurate description.
Laron L Bean: Nice and friendly services
Robert Wolfe: I've been coming to Vineyard for decades, and have many friends there. It is my church home.
JUST A LOGICAL LAD: both the school and the church....awful.
B Kim Mauldin, Jr: Our new church home. Very welcoming from day one. Always teaching God's Word. Diverse congregation
Trooper Long: Lovely space - had a great experience here
Helen Bryant: Found Peace within Myself
Angie Cosma: This is my home church and very welcoming and want to hear your story.
The Hatchetgamer: Amazing Church caring people very helpful in community even do a Thanksgiving dinner every year which turns out always to be amazing
Sandra Lovejoy: Great Church
David Wheeler: Great church with great community. Very welcoming. Sunday services are at 930 and 1115 with coffee and doughnuts served in between.
Brett Cosner: This church really wants to forget the past and poise it's self as a "multicultural, multigenerational, diverse church welcoming to all", however in 2014 they voted to fire a pastor because she confirmed that she was in a relationship with a women. The founding pastor Ken Wilson, stood by her side and resigned. Donnell turned his back on Ken and Emily and used the opportunity to become the acting senior pastor. If you are at all concerned about the acceptance of the LGBT community in the church, please don't attend the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor. Ken was working to bring acceptance towards the LGBT community, he welcomed them into the church and it's unacceptable to me that Donnell used that risk and vulnerability to his personal advantage.Update: I noticed that they have removed the words “welcoming to all” from their welcome statement. How sad that they would rather change the statement than their stance towards the LGBT community.
JADE H: I cannot recommend Ann Arbor Vineyard highly enough! When I moved to the area I didn't know anyone, but within a few weeks of attending Vineyard, I was able to plug into this new community. Spirit-filled worship and a diverse, multi-generational congregation.
Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber: We started going to the Vineyard in 2007/8, it is a great community of believers and we love it!
Glen Hillaker: I have attended for +30 years and still love it
Jackie Page: Great church to learn about Jesus if you have questions and also if you are looking for a church home!!!
Rebecca Hiemstra: Vineyard is one of the most welcoming, accepting, and socially engaged churches I have been part of. After the first time I came, Vineyard reached out to me multiple times. The church strives to be a place that breaks down barriers to people experiencing community and love, and I found that to be true. The head pastor and ministry directors know congregants by name. Church staff look for ways to get to know congregants outside of church, and the staff are sincere, transparent, and ready to listen.I have been impacted by sermons at Vineyard more than at any other church I've been to. The sermons are authentic, challenging, insightful, and practical. I have been challenged to action through the sermons, both in personal growth and in service. Pastor Donnell and Nigel Berry have a refreshing perspective and a commitment to reaching out to the community and putting the Gospel into practice. The church is very active in social ministries.Overall, Vineyard is an incredible church. I have been part of many churches in my life, and it is rare to find a church as welcoming and engaged as Vineyard. This church has had a big impact on me.

The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor: what do users think?
M Mcconnell: We were invited to sign prayer for Ukraine very gracious host
Kelly Norman: This pipe organ is beautiful. And a delight to listen to.
Mandolinman58: Loved my visit here.
Quinn Lowen: Great church. Beautiful windows.
kat: As I was traveling for work, I came across this church in Ann Arbor. While I did not go inside, I was so impressed with their display of the colored doors proclaiming “Gods doors are open to all”. It warmed my heart and I could not have been more proud with their statement!
Pam Dabbs: If you haven't seen the Sunday School in this church, it is a sight to behold and so creative in its design! It looks like you are living during the time of Jesus....such a magical place, bound to inspire the imagination of each child who enters as to what it might have been like during the life of Jesus! At the beginning of the church service, children are invited to join one of the ministers during "Children's Circle" at the front of the church. After a brief bible lesson, they are asked to go with their teachers down to the wonderful Sunday School area. It is a great church to help your child gain a religious foundation, which will serve him/her for years to come. Helping others and having a "giving" heart are important lessons learned here...a special church indeed!
The Hatchetgamer: Wonderful church and very giving to the less fortunate
Ann Hanson: Warm, welcoming church for all ages. Traditional service at 10am in classic main sanctuary with 1800s origins.
Brian Roberts: First Congregational Church is very friendly and the sanctuary is very peaceful.
Jay Rogers: This is a great church, inside and out. They are welcoming, moral, inclusive, and determined to teach people how to live life in communion with Christ. I had a great time visiting here. There are many activities for the youth & also a beautiful sanctuary.

Christ the King Catholic Church: what do users think?
David Frederick Baldner: Beautiful Mass; worship is joyfull and upbeat. Nice friendly folks
Leonard Mukasa: Heavenly experience at 9am MassApril 23 2023
Flo Brighton: Beautiful parish! I have CTK to thank for introducing me to the power and love of the Holy Spirit. The parish is alive and filled with on fire Catholics who live their faith. Fr. Ed gives incredible homilies filled with scripture and beautiful theology as well as powerful testimonies of the Holy Spirit working today. The RCIA program is so welcoming and very informative. If you haven’t been to church in a while or are curious about what Catholics believe don’t be afraid to check CTK out!
lucy alegre: I've been working hard for months to do my first communion through RCIA and was supposed to receive my sacrament during this Easter vigil just for it to be taken away from me this past week by the director Jessica Dudek. This is because she didn't agree with a decision my fiance and I made. I suggest to any adult looking to enter the church and have their First Communion done to go else where and not deal with the RCIA here. Not unless you want your personal life choices to effect you coming into the church and have someone tell you that they feel you are not ready to enter the church just because of a choice that does not match their personal standards. Then telling you that your personal choices are is their business. I emailed her boss and the head of the church to speak to them but never got ahold of anyone. So please if you looking to strengthen your faith or do your first communion do not come to this church.
Eileen Page: Can feel the Presence there. Wonderful sermons
Bee Sings: Beautiful mass, went for Christmas Eve service and it had me and my family near tears, the youth group is really good as well, and the parishioners love Jesus and serve God. Highly recommend.
Diane Nowakowski: Beautiful Parish! A place where Spirit and Truth reside. A Blessing for the Soul.
Maria Sauter: A truly beautiful parish, that I have been a part of my whole life. It's a very wonderful place where I can feel the holy spirit working within me. I know so many people there and it's like a second home to me. The worship music is so powerful, and most of my friends are on the teen music team, and it warms my heart to know how much they love God and how they want to help lead others to Christ.
mona cox: Beautiful church, friendly parishioners, and plenty of spacious seating.
Hubert Allen: Warm and friendly people who freely worship in faith.
Chaz Oid: Father Ed is the best!
Steven Bias: Thoroughly appreciated the time that the staff spent on preparing the site for my son's and daughter-in-law's wedding. I truly felt God's presence here, and my family left feeling spiritually uplifted.
Benedict VanderVeen: It is the people who really make or break any place. Christ the King is filled with people who truly desire to have Jesus as the center of their lives.
Patricia Ohearn: Enjoy participating in the virtual Mass on Sunday mornings.LOVE Fr. Ed's Homilies and the Choir!
Don Stokes: This is a beautiful place to worship the Lord and feel the Holy Spirit. The clergy and staff are so loving and supportive. Come and experience Christ the King; you will wonder why you waited so long. God Bless!
Bain Phillips: It's a great place, but if your not Christian, watch out, go to this church and you will probably become one.
Brenda Clough: Beautiful church!
Ana Adams: Love to see families at church with their children
Laron L Bean: Very beautiful house 🏠💒🎈🌄of the Lord to worship. and fellowship

T E K: My husband and I recently joined. The congregation is very diverse and welcoming. If you’re looking for a congregation of love, respect and diversity please come and feel God and Christ love for us all
Kathleen Beauvais: The collective arms and hearts of this congregation welcome and embrace all who will come, all who are cautious about coming, and all those who are scared to come. You will call this church home and the congregation your sisters and brothers. It is not just that all are welcomed, rather, all are invited, yearned for and treasured.
Jay Rogers: I adore this church. Even though I am not a member. They really love Jesus with all their hearts and you can tell. They try hard every day to grow closer to a loving, righteous, compassionate God. They care so much about social justice and reaching out to the poor, while also stressing personal morals (no smoking, no porn, etc.) which are essential for keeping the body of Christ strong. They believe in respect and dignity for all of God's people - including LGBTs. They are a very diverse body of people in many aspects (race, age, income, etc.) and they are so welcoming. I highly recommend this place for anybody who wants to become a Christian in an open setting. I highly recommend this place for anybody visiting the area. 5 stars for sure.
Jennifer Blackwell: Church of the Good Shepherd is a beautiful place, full of life and love. We found this church when I was 5 months pregnant with our oldest daughter. From the day we set foot in the doors we knew we had found our church home. COGS is truly diverse, people from all backgrounds come together and find common ground in a safe, welcoming community. COGS is a community that truly follows the teachings of Jesus, our mentor and our friend. We work together for justice and peace, and to break down barriers between all of Gods beloved. I can't imagine raising my children in any other faith community.
Liz F: The Church of the Good Shepherd is a wonderful welcoming congregation! A great place to worship!
