Pilar's Tamales: what do users think?
Michael Evancoe: Excellent. Incredible flavor and quality. The best tamales I have ever had in my world travel.
Rosee: The folks at Pilar's are SOOO helpful and the food is delicious! I have some unusual food allergies and they were so patient and accommodating. It's such a treat to be able to eat out without worrying. We had a variety of the tamales and pupusas and cannot recommend them enough!Vegetarian options: Lots of great vegetarian options!Dietary restrictions: They were super accommodating!!
Ophelia Pozenel: AMAZING authentic food. I love this place definitely an ann arbor staple!Recommended dishes Yam & Cheese Tamales …More
J. Yun: All of the food and drinks here are delicious, and the owners are the loveliest, most community oriented people you can hope to meet. I’ll support this business for as long as I’m in Ann Arbor.
Jordan Wean: Really good food and ridiculously nice staff and owner. We really enjoyed eating here.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pupusas …More
Salma Siddiqui: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5More
Jeffrey Duart-Digon: Terrible
Pamela AA: Tamales are great! Recommend the spicy pulled pork and mole with chicken.Staff is really nice but it was a little confusing to me how to order the first time. There is no access to the place, just take out through telephoneVegetarian options: Jalapeño+cheese and bean tamales available, also vegan options without cheese
Jacqueline Isaac: Delicious tamales! I also really enjoyed the slaw and salsa served with them. Several flavors to try from and the woman working there was so nice. The storefront was closed when we went - you had to call ahead to place an order and they brought it out to you. I would go back to try more flavors.
Oğul Can K.: Absolutely wonderful place. Everyone should try it!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Brig Cobb: The food is 5 star but deduct the fact that they descriminate people based on vaccination is utterly insane. The amount of stupidity I’ve seen from some in Ann Arbor is beyond rediculous. They turned down business, and would not let me dine in, because I’m not vaxed, this is 3 years after covid started. The vaccine does nothing to stop the spread my sister works with all multiple vaxed people they’ve all been spreading covid and have had it 3 times.while the only unvaxed person working there, my sister has had only one mild case of covid one time. Food is great but can’t support a business that discriminates and I would inciurage all other unvaxed not to support a business like this.
Michele Morgenstern: Best food ever. So fresh. Highly experienced Salvadorian food. Healthy food. Made with love.
Wynter Douglas: Recommended dishes More
Paul Roark: Best food I've had in Ann Arbor!
Michal Helman: Best El Salvadorian food I have ever had! 3Super delicious vegan and vegetarian options, can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu.
Tracy Schmidt: Delicate texture, beautifully made. Wish there was more spice/seasoning, but I do like it strong.
Cindee Smith: I would not recommend this place. This is the most high priced Mexican food I have ever seen in my life lol coming from a restaurant that looks like a shack. Extremely ridiculous.
talljono: Delicious tamales bring the flavor of Ensenada to Ann Arbor! 5/5 if it were not for the ridgid covid policy in place.
paul k: The food is excellent and the owner is really nice
Zach Brooks: Delicious, friendly and had great vegan options. I had this on my list to try for a while and glad I finally made a visit. I placed my order when I got there and didn't have to wait very long. The salad and sauce provided a great compliment to filling tamales. I will be back!
Crystal Thrall: Pilar's has the best tamales in town! The prices are reasonable and the customer service is excellent.

Aventura: what do users think?
Christina Salowich: Food was fine, not worth the high price. We were seated upstairs which seemed like the least pleasurable dining experience out of all spots in the restaurant. Patio looked cool, but wouldn’t go again.
June Billie: Only stopped for a glass of Sangria but it was certainly one of the best I've had!! Lovely atmosphere!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Tobias Ulmer: We have been here the second time, last time October 2022. We ordered the Paella Americana again which was excellent the last time, big portion and enough meat for 52$. Unfortunately this time the portion was very small, same price and only a few tiny pieces of meat. I think we will not come again. Sad because there is potential…
Emily Garnett: Recommended dishes Patatas Bravas, Gambas Al Ajillo, Seafood PaellaMore
Andrii Medvediev: If you come here based on TripAdvisor reviews, know that it's not as great as portrayed. I would rate this place 4 out of 5. We ordered a pitcher of sangria, and I was surprised to find so little cocktail and so much ice in such an "expensive" restaurant. Food here is good, but not what I expected. I won't trust TripAdvisor anymore. It's an okay place, but nothing more than that.
Danielle Greve: Great food and service!
Shivani Saxena: It was my cousin sister's and my (shared) birthday. Priya, my cousin had booked this place. Coming from India, we were a bit apprehensive about the new dishes. However, the food was amazing. We had vegetarian Paella, which is a large, smoked rice dish with vegetables. The rice has to be scraped from a piping hot pan. This is the main course, preceded by tapas. So, we had Patatas Bravas (potatoes in an amazing sauce), bread with tomatoes, Brussels sprouts, goat cheese with pineapple, and a cheese platter with jams and olives. The Spanish cuisine is quite like Indian food. It is intricate, with a lively burst of spices and flavours. The service was friendly and swift.Highly recommended.
Alina Roncea: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Sara Petry: My favorite of them all...like a pineapple crustini...pictured next to another triangular tomato/garlic crustini."Almendras Y PinaMarcona almonds, goat cheese, caramelized pineapple, thyme, olive oil"
Adam Stevenson: Even in a post-COVID pricing world, it was way too expensive for what it was. $70 for some rice and shrimp in a paella that I would prefer from a chain like Bahama Breeze. I'm fine paying premium for good food, this wasn't quite it.The fried potatoes were great though.
jimi adams: Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Aingeal Jones: Very cute Tapas restaurant with excellent service. We ordered 5 plates, as they recommended 4-6 for two people, but found the portion sizes to be very generous and brought leftovers home with. The sangria was great and I really loved the heirloom tomato salad - so refreshing!Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Rosey Stuurmans: Incredible on all levels! I loved the sangria, the smoked tuna tapa and the churros! Incredible experience and very nice staff! I came back a second time for happy hour at the bar (3-6 weekdays).
Fred Hernandez: It was okay! The menu was way overpriced, and the service was chaotic. Did they raise prices for graduation like the hotels? Regardless, the food was not in the category that it was priced at (about $80 per person).Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Charcuterie, Patatas Bravas, Churros …More
Carter Starr (Carter Starr): 3.5 stars if I could. I’ve been here twice- first time was very enjoyable. Service was attentive and fast, and food was excellent- some of the best I’ve had in Ann Arbor. This was pre-covid. The last time I went, it seems to have gone downhill. Paella was burnt which was disappointing, and our server was not attentive at all- she seemed to be very attentive to the older couple sitting next to us, but would ignore us when we were right next to her (possibly because we were students and students don’t typically tip well lol). Not saying I wouldn’t return, but this second time left a bad taste in my mouth.
Noosh W: I was in Aventura again and fall in love with this place all over again. 5/1/23Nice staff, beautiful environment and great food. Love it.I keep going to Aventura and always love it more. 12/8/2022Make sure to reserve the table. Popular place .Recommended dishes Lamb Meatballs, Sangria Falsa, Slider, Patatas Bravas, Flatbreads …More
claire craig: Amazing Tapas, Sangria, service and ambiance. A must go to restaurant when in Ann Arbor.Dietary restrictions: Server was very knowledgeable about menu and helped my Mom with dietary restrictions.
Daniel Zheng: A perfect date night spot.Aventura proudly states that their paellas are authentic to the techniques and flavors of Valencia, the region from which paella originates. I don't know enough to say either way, but what I can say was that our paella was both delicious and sizable in quantity. The real highlight of the evening, though, was one of our tapas selections: the Almendras & Pina, consisting of caramelized pineapple and goat cheese on a baguette. Remarkable.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian paella option available
Christopher Price: Great food and good service. The red sangria is delicious. It’s great local tapas. I don’t think it can compare with proper Spanish tapas in Spain but it works in a pinch. I wouldn’t go back if I’m in the area because the value isn’t there for me but I’d recommend to anyone at least once. You won’t go wrong if you eat here but do be prepared to spend some money.
Deanna Saleh: Love the back patio seating! The paella is A++!!Dietary restrictions accommodated Vegan, Gluten free …More
Gonzalo Luna: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sangria Falsa, Pulpo a La Aventura, Patatas Bravas, Gambas Al Ajillo, Cheese CroquettesMore

Cosa Sabrosa: what do users think?
Gary Tse: Some good food, some bad. Overall overpriced. Worth a visit, maybe not a repeat. Confusing to find entry and order. Tip: take a right on entry for the restuarant.
Talin Hitik: Best Mexican in Ann Arbor by a mile. Every single thing I’ve tried has been delicious. My favorite is the birria. It’s totally worth it, but their current set up is so comically random. It feels like getting take out out of your grandpa’s basement. Someone invest in these guys and open a restaurant!
ShannonRose4 A: First visit. Arrived just as they were about to open.Easy to order either online or Inside. Little strange at first to be going into the Zal Gaz Club, but once we found a spot and got settled; they were friendly and the food was delicious!Quiet location for a restaurant where I could talk to my husband and hear others… do you love Mexican cuisine and have Tinnitus? This is the place to go to enjoy good food. (and not have your ears ringing!)The three taco combo was spot on, flavor, spice, presentation. Will return!Fantastic find, fantastic food & friendly staff. They also have vegan and vegetarian options.
Rodney Johnson: My family and I love the food, but every time we crave it they’re never open! Better check Instagram before you get your hopes up! We’ve set days aside to grab a carry-out and been let down on many occasions.
Joshua Bonilla: Best tacos in Ann Arbor, hands down!
Liz Harris: Love this place! Consistently delicious and super fresh. Such quality and flavorful food, especially for Ann Arbor. I really hope they get their own brick and mortar restaurant - I will definitely frequent there!
Sheyonna Watson: It’s such a hidden gem! We stopped by a few weeks ago and we’ve been back multiple times since then! The food is amazing! Everything is Fresh, flavorful, spicy, and service is quick and friendly. I’ve had the lamb, cauliflower, and chicken tacos, the nachos, queso, and. guacamole. My husband always gets the beef Birria quesadilla. Never had a bad meal and definitely recommend.Vegetarian options: Cauliflower tacos were great!Parking: More parking in the back
Samantha McCully: We ordered Cosa Sabrosa a few weeks ago for carry-out as I follow them on IG and had been dying to try the birria tacos. I absolutely LOVED them. We don't eat pork or beef in my household so it was so nice to finally find a place that does chicken birria tacos. I am dying to try their quesadilla next time. I went to order again a week or two ago and the only thing that kept me from doing it was there was a long wait time but I dont consider this a negative. I just didn't have the patience to wait lol.
Tyshon Rose: Love this place! Have ordered from here at least a dozen times and have never had a bad experience. If you’re looking for birria, this is the place to go!
Iris Wang: My husband and I really like this place out of all the Mexican in ann arbor. We like the chicken tacos, and birria anything!
Sandra Fernando: I really thought this place was going to be awesome because of all the great reviews. I was mistaken. I got the Birria tacos and quesadilla. Both were horrible. The guacamole that I ordered was simply mashed avocado. I think the only thing that was good was the salsa verde and the chips, which the owner was kind enough to throw in for free. I am so disappointed, I honestly would just love a refund. I think the people are sweet, but the food was not great.
Ashley Morgan: Literally the best Mexican food available within 500 miles.
Sophie King: Stumbled upon this place as we were driving by and I am so glad that we did. If you are vegan in the area and want some new food to try, this place is it. Hands down, best vegan tacos I have ever had in my four years being vegan (they have non vegan options that I am sure are just as good). Their food just has so much flavor to everything. Even the carrots on the side had flavor. The owner’s mother is also the sweetest thing and so helpful. For sure will be coming back :-)Vegetarian options: Loads of vegan/vegetarian options from tacos, to burritos, to nachos.
Pat I: Incredible food. Really rich flavors, not just a simple beans, meat and rice situation. Good portion size.
Virginia Taylor: Best tacos I ever had ! Authentic and delicious .
Christopher Schott: Food is excellent and service is great. Very accommodating and welcoming place. I’d post pics of the food but we ate it all too quick to take a pic.
Sarah Okin: WOW! Delightful food, extremely kind staff. Love this place and will be back. Also Zal Gaz is the coolest spot in town.
Lisa Cruz: Great food, nice people, and live music from jazz, classic rock, motown.Parking: Lots of parking
David K: My girlfriend is from Colombia and she has been craving for birria tacos, which I’ve never heard of before. While googling for a place, we discovered this little gem. Finally had the chance to make an order and when I took the first bite, it was hands down the best taco I’ve ever had in my life. My girlfriend also approves. This will be our spot for tacos from now on. Will be coming back soon!
Venus “Venie” Heard: Ģreat food 😋 & your allowed to make your own tacos 🌮 & burritos 🌯 😋
Venus Vegas: Parking: Not bad at all

QDOBA Mexican Eats: what do users think?
J B: Out of guac? Really? Also out of whatever is normally used to wipe tables clean. And also out of a broom to sweep the floor. Wonder why I was the only one in the dining room... Jack Waldon: Tyson was amazing! He was kind, made my food exactly as ordered, friendly and made me very happy!
Jeff Fordeck: Placed an order at 10:30 this morning for my daughter's school lunch with an 11:15 pick up time, a finals week special. The order confirmation came back with an 11:15 to 11:25 confirmation window so I called the store to confirm the 11:15 ready time. Upon arrival at 11:10, I noticed the door locked with a sign saying that the store will be opening early. Upon talking to the same person at the store, I was informed that there was no way the order could be filled and that the line was not even set up. She advised that online ordering had been taken offline. Not only was the store aware of the order, they confirmed it 45 minutes prior to order time and confirmed they knew it wouldn't be ready in time. I'm not sure what the store was trying to do, but lying about their capabilities only caused for a greatly disappointed customer and a need to face the situation at a later time when the customer was in a sense of urgency. What a complete and utter breakdown of any form of management responsibility.
Paul Knickelbein: I used to enjoy Qdoba. Things have gone down hill fast. New Manager, skimpy portions and they don't fill orders correctly.I ordered family meal and taco family dinner with chips and queso. Total of over $200. They gave me no chicken.I called and was told I wasn't supposed to get chicken, and when I said , yes check the order, the manager said " I guess so, what do you want?" I went back to the store ( 20 min drive) and received no apology, no acknowlement, just the chicken pushed towards me. It was an incredibly horrible experience. The guac was old, (black) portions skimpy and I got no where near my money's worth. I used to be a very regular customer.Check my other reviews, I tend to see the positive in situations, this was not good!
Arpita Shah: One of the best places that serves some yummy Mexican food. 😋My server was nice and gave me a brownie for FREE!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Burritos Bowls …More
A Day: Great food and service 1/29Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5 …More
DeAnn Marston: It's tasty and you can get basically any combination of the ingredients and end up with whatever you feel like having!
Michael Widen: We ordered a catered lunch from Qdoba for our advisory group meeting today. We put the order in weeks ago, paid for it, got a confirmation email and an order number. Then today no food showed up. Upon calling the restaurant after the listed delivery time to check on the order, the local staff member hurriedly said we needed to call a national number to check on catering orders and quickly hung up. The national number put us on hold for 15 minutes and then said they weren’t going to be able to fill the order. Thanks to the nearby Dominos for quickly managing our back up order and allowing us to provide a lunch for our board members!Goodbye, Qdoba.
ALI ALRIKABI: Great place for vegans. Friendly staff.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Janis Arsenault: Dude was patient with me. Nice guy at the front. But you get your food and get out of store. You don’t eat here.
Freak4130: Closed early half the time I try to go.
jerry mo: Walked in 30 minutes after opening. Only half the of the options were prepped. Started my bowl, no fajitas. Guy assured me it would be only a couple minutes. 10 minutes later, they were ready. Then there was no guac, manager said it would be 10-15 minutes. I waited then went back up to be told it would properly be another hour….. 30 minutes wasted, walked out without anything. I have worked at chipotle, which is essentially the same. It makes me wonder if they know they are supposed to have the food prepped prior to opening, not starting to cook the food once you open.
Paul Clemons: Don't order online here. You will never get your food if they are busy. They refused to make the online order they had a ticket for until the guests eating in, in line where served. Wated 20 minutes from them to start the order and they did not. Why have online and door Dash treating them like that? Should be ready for pickup sooner.
Kevin Adams: The place is not being well maintained. Soda machine was missing half of the flavors.
David DeLong: Ordered online. Went to pickup at my specified time and was told it would be done shortly. After 20 minutes one of the staff asked if I needed anything. Turns out my food was done when I walked in. I had my doubts on Qdoba after they slashed their menu during the pandemic, but this is yet another restaurant I will no longer patronize. You can’t cut service because labor is more expensive. It’s going to continue to drive away customers.
Anne Mccrory: We ordered from here 2 weeks ago and it was perfect. Today our order was messed up. I have a verification what I ordered and what we got was NOT right. We live 30 minutes from the restaurant so going back isn't an option. Not sure if we will order again. Qdoba you can do better... 3 small pieces of meat on 2 items costing $20 is not acceptable.
Vincent Totty: I placed an order at 8:56pm via the mobile website. The hours of the store specifically say 10pm on the website and google so after it was placed I left to get my order. I got there at 9:20pm and was told that my order came in after they closed so it was not made and wasn’t going to be made. I would have zero issue if the store specified it closed at 9pm (I wouldn’t have even ordered having worked in food service myself before), but google and the store site specifically say this location closes at 10pm. On the door of the store there is no closing time for Sunday even. I also find it to be terribly rude that my order was seen, decidedly not made, and nobody reached out to contact me. My number and email were all on the order that was clearly seen. Instead, they waited for me to get there to tell me, so not only was my money wasted, but my time and gas as well. Who does that? At least have the decency to call somebody, even an email would have sufficed, but I got nothing instead. Mind you it was the manager who told me about the situation, and somebody else’s order was sitting on the pickup rack. They genuinely chose just not to make my order. I’ve never had service this bad before.
Food GUY: Love the bowls here alomg woth the triple cheese nachos 😋
