Donald Kern: These guys are a ripp off. Ive been a mechanic for 30 years. I dropped a driveshaft off with them on friday, they said they would call me with the estimate, they never called and said they did the repairs on monday. They said they replaced my rear shaft because it was bent. This was a 2 piece shaft. Then when i had no choice but to pay to get my driveshaft back i asked them for my old parts. They gave me my whole drive shaft, 2 parts. First they told me they repaired it, then they gave me a completely different driveshaft. They charged me for labor for repairs they didnt do then charged me for a new driveshaft. They are dishonest and i will not do business with them again. Beware of these guys.

Taylor Citizen: Absolutely the most knowledgeable staff in the area. I have many shafts made over the years, and have tried all the local builders. And Automotive Supply is the best in my opinion. They have the largest inventory of drive shaft parts I have ever seen. With industrial drive shafts that weighed more then many cars. To hundreds of aluminum shafts complete and ready to go out the door. I dealt with Eddie the Shop Manager and his understanding and patience was the best I have ever encountered. I have never dealt with anyone who made sure to take the time to listen to what I built and discuss every aspect of my project to make sure we did the shaft right the first time. They even provided a Balance build sheet that told me the exact balance of my drive shaft. I feel there is no other shop in the area that can compete. And they have been doing it since 1930.

Cori Aina: It's really difficult to support a local business when they blatantly disregard the science regarding the covid-19 pandemic. I was very happy with the help they provided in finding the correct trans fluid for my Mazda's manual transmission, and the ability to have it in by the next morning. But walking into a business where not a single person was wearing a mask makes me feel unsafe, and regrettable about my decision to shop there. I work with dozens of other people, in close proximity, and I don't appreciate myself or, in turn, my colleagues, being subjected to such unnecessary risk by my visiting another establishment.Please wise up people. David Chambers: Steve and rob seemed generally competent whenever I 1st met them. They diagnosed my Allison transmission as having a bad 5th gear. I replaced the Transmission with a warranted new unit. The truck started having problems immediately.. I took it back to the same transmission shop same transmission shop Steve and Bob told me that 3rd year was bad in the new one. They then kept it for one month telling me they were gonna look at it or work on it. They lost the keys and didn't do anything besides locked themselves out. I had the original transmission taken apart and inspected and there was no damage to 5th year. Legal proceedings will begin shortly. I would never recommend this shop. Thomas Cheeseman: The good:- Very nice on phone- I believe the diagnostics were correct, though they just checked the codeThe bad:- Shop told me the part from the dealer cost $800, I called the dealer to confirm it is $480.- Shop said the time they would charge me for is 6 hours, more than double the time listed in the book- Shop tried to tell me I needed a licensed mechanic with special codes from the dealer to replace a transmission, this is just not true. I did check the manufacturer to be sure and the listed procedures in the system (access to licensed shop)I can't recommend them, they tried to feed me a lot of incorrect information. Talked to another shop and the same work from them was quoted at $350 for the part (not dealer) and 2 hours to replace. Overall 1/3 the cost they quoted me. I'd stay away.

This was not like that when we dropped it off this morning. We did not leave the parking lot went right back inside. The man said bring it back next week. We asked if he could look at it and if it was safe to drive. He said he was busy, shrugged his shoulders and said just bring it back next week. So we are stuck with a more broken car then we had this morning for at least the weekend. Ann Arbor Hardwoods LLC: Had them rebuild a Transmission in one of our F150 trucks a year and a half ago. Then transmission went again last week. Planetary gear is bad they told me there is no way it would go bad unless something else is bad. I found this to be inaccurate information. I contacted 2 other local transmission shops and was told that this is a really common issue with that truck and transmission. I was told that there is a needle thrust bearing that commonly goes bad and causes this exact issue. I was then told that since it is a commercial vehicle We only get a one year warranty which was not told to me during the initial repair. They did offer me a $2300 rebuild compared to the $2700 they charged me last time. I get it things break but not feeling great about them misleading me and not telling me about the warranty on a commercial vehicle. I gave them 2 starts because it worked for a year and a half.Service:Transmission

Christopher Xiao: This is the place to go for German car repairs. I had a little accident from driving in the snow and needed to find a reputable shop. The people here are extremely welcoming, experienced, and thorough in their due diligence. They take photos of everything during the initial inspection and send you an electronic record so that you are fully aware and involved in any decisions. Prices for this level of service are not the priority, but for those who care they are very reasonable and certainly more affordable than the dealer. I give my highest recommendations.

My car had standing water under the carpet of the passenger side cabin, soaking all of the foam and creating risk in the subfloor electrical electrical system. We were not going to pay that for an 18-year-old car so we immediately began car shopping. Still, something nagged at me. The dealership had seemed sketchy and my experience thus far hadn’t been the best. Was it worth getting a second quote?I decided to give it a try. I found Convenience Auto and read their great reviews. I called them to ask for a quote on a new head gasket. Surprisingly, they told me that often the dealer misdiagnoses the oil leak and they’d rather take a look first. They did look, TWICE, and confirmed that is was not the head gasket that was leaking oil, but a different part that the dealership had “repaired” months earlier! If I hadn't call them, our car would be gone!Throughout the process Justin and Garrett were outstanding. Answering my thousand questions patiently, shuttling me back and forth from home while they repaired the car, and generally being amazing! Everything they did was to steer us towards less expensive options that were better for the car and better for us.This is customer service at its finest and the car has run great ever since. For me, this wasn't an issue but could be for someone with a tight schedule. They maintain several means of contact so there's no issue getting a hold of anyone for anything you need.They diagnosed and performed the work, even held the vehicle for me so I could get a proper window to pick up my car. My only gripe is the cost of the work and I'm not even showing how much they would've charged for brakes and rotors.Most often, inspections are included with services performed when all repairs are made on a vehicle. That has been my experience in the past but the inspection charges here were not waved which elevated the final cost.Great people and great service but if you can get it done for cheaper, I advise you take that route with your vehicle.

Jeff Snorey: Baught a used engine aparently with unknown miles and has head problems and spark plugs have all broke off due to rust. They said they would offer me 50% refund. m ph: I purchased an engine and transmission from them. Installed the pair, and the transmission was bad. I had to remove the transmission and get a refund for it. I am out 10 hours of labor, fluid and programming cost. Car it came out of was wrecked in the front hard. They replaced the broken trans pan when they pulled it without notifying me. I know this since the TCM under the pan had a large chip taken out of it and the fasteners were out of place. That was my first and last purchase from this place.Reply from Town and Country Response: What a strange, and totally false response from you. I personally installed this transmission being licensed by the State of Michigan as a mechanic for 20 years with automatic transmission as one of my certs. Trans was installed using Mercon LV fluid, cooler was flushed, transmission adaptive shifts were reset and the solenoid shift strategies were programmed into the PCM utilizing a Cardaq J2534 connected through FJDS to Motorcraft website. It was installed 100% by the book.The transmission was aerating fluid you sold me, I believe its from a broken internal filter or a bad pump. I have attached pictures showing how hard the car was hit Town and Country Pulled it out of. This transmission should have NEVER been sold in my opinion. You can also see the TCM cracked if you zoom in on the left upper part of the trans. You can also see the aerated fluid in that same picture.

She arrived showed them her receipt they saw she was alone carried it out to her set it on the ground and walked away. She is 16 years old she didn’t know she could ask for help, she struggled in the rain to lift this very heavy rim into her trunk, she said mom he watched me struggle. They saw she was young so I assume they did not care, no respect for my little girl with no adult there. I will do all I can to avoid them in the future because of this.

Not sure if employee I spoke to even researched it because he did not sound sure and could not give me answers of breakdown of price.
