Caravan Gift Shop: what do users think?
Pat Carroll: Just bought some gifts here at this beautiful shop. The clerk was great. Take the time to go to Nickels Arcade and shop local!
Miriam Meisler: So helpful to me in finding just the right things. Lovely people.
Mike Cherry: Most unique gift store in Ann Arbor. Wonderful things for all over the world and a great selection of locally sourced merchandise. Great cards too. Knowledgeable and friendly ownership of one of the oldest shops in Ann Arbor. In nickels arcade
kathy stucky: This is such a unique shop! I must warn you this is not a shop you want to run in and out of. There is so much to see of quality and unusual items. From jewerly, pottery cards, and nutcrackers just to name a few items. Everyone is so kind and helpful. One of my must go to shops when I'm in Ann Arbor!
mia_ w: I love this shop. They have unique items-- jewelry as well as various curiosities and intriguing oddities. Sometimes I come in just to wander as if I were at a museum. I bought my favorite pair of earrings here. The family running the store are both kind and knowledgeable.
Frederick Conrad: I have been a very happy and satisfied customer of the Caravan Shop for about 10 years. I have mostly bought jewelry but have purchased other items as well. Every piece in the shop is obviously chosen with care; the proprietor has impeccable taste. The prices are fair, especially in light the artistry in each piece. The staff is knowledgeable and makes very helpful suggestions (almost all of my purchases are for gifts). And they seem genuinely grateful for each sale. They have never, once, applied any pressure to make a sale. Every purchase is beautifully giftwrapped. I often procrastinate before shopping for gifts in part because I am confident I will find just what I am looking for at the Caravan Shop, just in the nick of time.

Ten Thousand Villages: what do users think?
Farid Farahanchi: Excellent place to buy gifts
sujana ranjit: I was amazed by how well the store looked with all handcrafted items. Most of them, made with recycled materials. I highly recommend this if you want to get a special gift for someone special.
Yevgeniya Gazman: Absolutely delightful space to explore for unique and meaningful gifts. Lovely and knowledgeable volunteers staff the shop. So much beauty in a myriad of forms.
Amica Patterson: Absolutely Love This Store!
Cassie Shamey: Great store
Don Kaufman: Very unwelcoming store
Stephanie McMullen: I happen to walk by this weekend and I feel in love with the store. They have most unique products. I bought some earrings and I have been getting compliments on them! Thanks for being open, and following safety protocols!
Helena Boulding: They sale Tibetan singing bowls made of brass!! Each item is made by a artisan from different countries. Nice store, and wonderful store clerk. 😊
al “af” f: I've been going here for the past 15 years. I'm always amazed by the available craftsmanship and cost, their items make the best gifts! When supporting Ten Thousand Villages, you are supporting fair trade business, small towns/homes, and developing nations. ALL businesses should utilize Ten Thousand Villages business model approximately.
Suna K.: I just noticed that I gave three stars by mistake. My rating is definitely five stars. I enjoy browsing and shopping there.
Julie Binz: Great unique items while helping women around the world. Staff is also very helpful and friendly.
N Cippon: Always buy a journal when i am here. The owner is very informative
Chris Schenck: This is a really cute shop in Ann Arbor, filled with handmade goods from villages around the world. They have really good prices on some unique and cute stuff! The mission of the shop is to provide aid and spread awareness for the issues faced by these small villages.
Thomas Deren: Original and frequently changing stock, always cheery and helpful employees, and supporting a great cause make this place a treasure!
Matt Burt: Cool shop. I like how they support small artisans from around the world.
Nice Price II: Awesome
Edward Dunne: An interesting array of items from around the world. Their thing is fair trade. They have some nice scarves from Egypt, India, and elsewhere. The cotton or viscose scarves are quite affordable. The silk scarves cost more, but are reasonable for silk. They have a section of games, including fancy chess sets and travel chess sets (made from wood), which are attractive. There is jewelry, too, but I didnt look closely at it. Since the theme is fair trade, the selection throughout is eclectic.
Aileen Price: I left Ann Arbor about seven years ago. I was visiting this week. I was shocked when I went to my local Ten Thousand Villages outside of Philadelphia, and I didn't see anything I wanted to buy. The Ann Arbor store is so well-stocked. It's colorful. The variety of items is just astounding. I need a few $10 gifts for a Christmas party, and I found some unique food items. However, the store was stocked with many things I wanted to put under my Christmas tree from me to me :). I'm so sad my local store isn't this diverse.Beyond the selection, the staff was courteous and very helpful!
Jodie Summers: A lovely place to buy knick knacks and special gifts for people
paul mungar: This place is amazing... The most unique gifts... And a tremendous value... Fair trade... Good Karma
Rosalie Hatfield: Beautiful handcrafted items, helpful purchases, knowledgeable staff

Happy House Shop: what do users think?
Ruth Raupagh: It’s a perfectly fine gift shop and IS, in fact, ADA compliant, despite what some other reviewers may be claiming.
Karen Barbu: Big assortment of cards
Lily Lee: APRIL 2023I love this store for the variety of goods they carry, especially inspirational items. Found assortment of wallet sized cards with words of encouragement ... great little impromptu gift for a loved one.The amount of products in this store will astound you! There's clothing, Vera Bradley bags, UM and MSU college merch, garden and home decor, jewelry, seasonal items, and so much more! NOT your typical Hallmark store! It's so aptly named Happy House 🙂Ultimately, I love coming to Hallmark for the cards. Even though the prices have been going up slightly each year, there's something special about giving a Hallmark card. Please stop by to support local businesses at Westgate! I want this store to always be around. Friendly staff on top of it! ❤
Olivia Lapham: Drove an hour to look at this store and it is not handicap accessible. It’s not easy to get into with the curb you have to jump. Also nothing in the store is set up for you to roll through. Happy to not give you my business until you can accommodate all shoppers. Get it together.
Elaine McCubbin: Great selection of unique gifts and very helpful, friendly staff!
adaline jones: they were always so nice now they must have hired someone new because they answered the phone extremely rude, not professional at all
Kim Brastrom: Great selection of greeting cards, birthday cards, Hallmark cards and gifts.
Zach Wilkinson: Card selection is some of the best in town.
Annamarie Conley: I love any Hallmark store and this one never disappoints. There is so much to look at and buy. Especially stuff you never knew you needed.
Becky Geer: I had 1 of the 2 things I went in there for.
ROBERT MOORE: Very helpful staff.
Fred Zech: Lovely gift and clothing shop plus Hallmark cards and ornaments.

Felicia Redinger: Best hallmark ever. Huge selection of cards
Kathy Bocade: Love this shop

16 Hands: what do users think?
Shiba eat U: 有質感的禮物 稍高價位
Divided Sky: Stumbled upon this store after a visit to the open air holiday market. Lots of unique and original items and great gift ideas. We feel lucky to have found this felt cat house sourced from Nepal. Ww were to excited for Bowie to wait for Christmas morning. The staff was friendly. Many patrons wearing masks as it was a cramped store with all of the product and holiday shoppers.
C M: A fun and unique shop! I saw these pieces of art and loved them but wasn’t ready to buy them. The worker was very helpful and wrote all the info down so I could order them later. I called 2 months later and he again was very helpful and I got them shipped to my house. Love them!
Betsy Price: Staff at 16 Hands were super helpful and friendly, enabling me to get exactly what I needed when I was unable to visit the shop. Thank you!
Maddy M: Wandered in this shop with my brothers today while doing Minerva's escape (check out decode Detroit). The staff here warmly welcomed us and helped us pick out some cool prints to take home. The art, jewelry and items here are all super cool andwand priced. They even gift wrapped some gifts we bought for family and friends. If you're looking for a cool place to look for art, jewelry, and other beautiful hand crafted goods this is a wonderful place to ship.
Kevin Miller: Great little gift shop!!!
Stephen Layton: Great place for some gifts.
Brett Huffmaster: friendly staff. beautiful items throughout the store. highly recommend.

Rock Paper Scissors: what do users think?
Tom Herwick: One of the true great small businesses in Ann Arbor.
Sugarfoot Jones: One of my favorite store’s downtown. I usually get a gift for my friends who visit Michigan and they absolutely love them. Even if I’m just browsing I love the atmosphere of the store.
Kath UEP: Another great choice in downtown Ann Arbor. Fabulous greeting card selection, kids gifts, housewares, Nora Fleming and warm & friendly staff
Aoife Harte: Rock Paper Scissors has the cutest cards and gifts for any gift/holiday/person in your life! It is my go-to gift shop in Ann Arbor! They have such a wide range which makes it easy to shop for anyone. Love this shop and supporting a small business!!
Kerry Pickett: One of the neatest stores I have been in, You are sure to find something that you can't live without.
Anushka Gupta: This is a great store for a retail experience. There are so many cute and fun Ann Arbor things around and it's a great place to get gifts from. Please do not get your wedding invitations from this store. I am recently engaged and have been trying to reach out to Lisa (store owner) about wedding invitations for 3 months. I have heard absolutely nothing from her in response. I have called the store many times, and the store associates (who are very, very nice) profusely apologize and let me know that they are going to pass my message on to Lisa and I should hear from her in the next week or so. A week comes and goes, I hear absolutely nothing, and the cycle repeats.Lisa has been telling the store associates that she has tried to email me. When I ask the associates to forward me the email that Lisa says she sent, they say that they can't do that. I am not sure why, all they have to do is ask Lisa to send them the email that she sent me, and then send it to me. I do not believe the Lisa has actually ever tried to email me and is gaslighting me into thinking that I am doing something wrong. The most recent store associate I spoke with actually encouraged me to write this negative review because she let me know that she and the other store associates are equally frustrated by Lisa's failure to follow up with clients who are looking for wedding invitations. The store associate literally told me that she has no idea what Lisa is doing. That should tell you everything you need to know!
Cindy Warber: This store has a wide variety of cute gifts, greeting cards, decorative items, stuff for kids, funny sayings, and lots of options for a gift for a girlfriend. I bought 2 Christmas gifts here. Warning-it's cute but pricey.
Kristen E: I love this shop. Everytime I go into the store everyone is curtious, helpful and attentive. This is a definite asset to Main street. You won't be disappointed!!
Zoaib Jhalodwala: Great gift shopHas lots of cool shirts and gifts and cook wareVery cute kids toysFunny stickers
Hillary S.: Created wonderful custom Easter baskets for our entire family!
Loyd Gitari: I couldn't decide on a birthday card, so I bought three 🤭
Rachel Douma: My favorite store in downtown Ann Arbor! Lisa and her team at Rock Paper Scissors are simply the best. I've always had top-notch service at all three stores (Ann Arbor, Saline, and Junior) and I've loved each one of my custom online orders, too! The store is always changing - new inventory, new brands, and new products each week. It is so fun to walk around and find the perfect gift for all of the people I want to celebrate.
Emily Rubin: Love this shop! I have been coming here for years and can always find something for any occasion. A welcoming atmosphere and kind employees.
McKenzie Hilscher: It is hard not to recognize how repetitive, expensive, and overall chotchkie filled this place is when you have to listen to the employees gossip and speak negatively about everyone who works there, and their brother. The sign on the door, and checkout area, AND their social media say hiring...well I wish whoever bites on that good luck! The toxicity from the employees rant masked the products inside, and made me desperately want to get out of there. If you are interested in forty five variations of overpriced candles, as well as a side of "can you believe she has no idea what to wear to their wedding?" and "she will not send over the hiring forms, and she was asking me so many questions about hiring teenagers" it is quite the spot for you! I came in for something interesting, and left with a whole lot, "I'll get that at TJ Maxx in a month or so" feeling.
Leanne Ma: Really fun store, an excellent place to buy gifts!
Eric Driver: I can't say enough great things about Lisa and her stores. They have so many unique amazing things. My kids love the toy store and really both stores. The staff is great and helpful and really friendly.Awesome place!
Melanie Reyes: Ordering their AMAZING gift boxes is the easiest thing and clients and friends LOVE THEM. Gift giving made easy and put together thoughtfully (and shipping is wicked fast) thank you!
Michael Horton: Need a gift / get a gift. Pretty simple at this store.
Jill Durnen: I finished all my Christmas shopping in one trip to RPS and RPS Jr. in downtown Saline. The staff was super helpful and the overall experience was top notch! I highly recommend both stores
Becky W: Seriously, the best little gift shops! Friendly staff and very unique items for all ages. Check them out in store or online for the perfect gifts!
TVWGC: This store is SO MUCH FUN! So many unique, quirky gifts. Plus a great selection of items for entertaining and MORE! A definite stop when shopping with girlfriends!

Cherry Republic | Ann Arbor: what do users think?
D Gilmer: I stumbled upon this place and walked in. To anyone else who does the same: Do a free cherry wine tasting! Unique and tasty wines, and you can try up to 6 wines for free. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Try the many samples of food products as well!
Amanda LaVictoire: Stopped in over the weekend to sample cider & wine. Loved the dark chocolate cherries and the ciders we tried were delicious! So many things to sample and everything was great!
David Phillips (Erlynos): At CHERRY REPUBLIC how?
Egemen Aras: Nice place to treat yourself and get some great prize for loved ones ✌️
Beth Andersen: This is my go-to place for buying birthday gifts for the chefs in my family. I received terrific customer service and they even had a special deal for shipping so they sent off my gift to Montana. I just heard that the gift was received with GREAT delight! Thank you!
Nope Nope: Overpriced tourist stuff. That said, it’s pretty good overpriced tourist stuff. The kids love the gummies and other candies, we like the jams and regular dried cherries for eating out of hand. It’s pricey, you could get similar for cheaper at local grocers, but it’s all pretty good.
FRANZL: Chocolate milk covered cherries. That's it
Ali Akhavan Safaei: Nice a friendly place to get Michigan's special products for yourself or for your family and friends as a gift package! Lots of good vibes, and super nice staff.
John Couperthwaite: This place has so much of what makes Michigan great! All of their products are delicious and they have great samples on rotation. I loved the medium cherry salsa and the late harvest reisling. I was so glad i could try the wines before making a decision, but they are all amazing! Dakota was especially helpful with all of our questions and shipped our gifts to share with friends in New Jersey. Their flatrate shipping is unbeatable. This is our new go-to spot for sharing Pure Michigan with our friends!
Alexander Wong: Free samples and delicious food!
AJ Kavanaugh: Expansive selection and friendly staff
許智能(Sodio Hsu): good local cherry products
K R: Samples are greatIf you live in Michigan cherries might be a part of life. This chain store has several locations and always has samples available. There are sweets to try, I sampled the dark chocolate cherry, my favorite. I also tried the white chocolate covered cherry, it was sweeter than I'd like. The guest service was great. Some locations do cherry wine tasting if you're of age. If you prefer saltiness, you can try a pretzel dipped in cherry salsa or cherry BBQ sauce.
Drew Hunt: Awesome store! Being from out of state it was fun to see a whole store dedicated to a staple food here. The free samples we’re really fun giving you a taste of several of their delicious foods. The Cherry Root Beer is fantastic and reasonably priced for a specialty food. The staff were all really helpful. Beautiful store with fun atmosphere and a wide product selection! In my opinion easily the coolest store on the street!
Richard Riley: We aren't from the area but get our here 1-3 times a year, and often make time to detour to Cherry Republic when we do. The staff is delightful, the store is lovely, and the various cherry treats/products are mostly excellent. They offer tasting stations for several of their products as well, including several of their wines, jams, and salsas. I definitely recommend stopping in when you're in the area.
BM Fitzsimmons: A classic unlike any other.
Bettye Cart: We ordered 2 huge bottles of cherry pie filling cant wait to try. The milk chocolate covered cherries were the most delectable flavorful! I should have ordered a big bag! Grateful my DIL's mom turned me on to her home state of Michigan!
Sean Murphy: The place to go for anything cherry, the late harvest riesling is good
Tom Nelson: You can't leave without something delicious. They have samples all over the room and it is all so good. Next time you're in MI, plan to stop at one of their locations for a taste of MI.
Nicole M: Do the wine tastings of all the amazing cherry wines! Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Who knew? So many good finds for food/drinks or anything else. Definitely need to stop at one when in Michigan
Joe M: Great selection of Michigan Made, Cherry flavored products. Each is of high quality and tastes so good! My personal favorites are the Cherry Salsa, Cherry BBQ sauce, and Cherry Ketchup. A must visit if you're in the area!

The Himalayan Bazaar: what do users think?
Dereka Wilson: Alright
Kev M: Amazing little shop. Prices are not marked up like most shops in this area and are honestly very reasonable. So much to look at and soak in. The nice lady who was running the store was extremely friendly and helpful. We bought earrings and a bracelet for my wife that were very colorful and affordable. We also bought my daughter a bracelet. After some more shopping around the area we eventually returned to shop and were able to find our oldest son an OM wind chime we think he will find interesting. Would recommend and will return.
Donna: We had a wonderful experience with the sound bathing session. It was very powerful, thank you so much.
Piotr & Anieszka Orawiec: Very friendly workers
Meme Squad: Lovely store I really love the cultures of the Himalayas and this store has a lot of diversity. The lady at the counter was so nice I really wish I could give this place more stars
scotland martin: I’ve always loved this store and try to visit every time I’m in Ann Arbor! So many unique spiritual gifts and good energy. I was greeted today by a lovely woman named Durga who taught me all about singing bowls and how to find the right one for me. I cannot recommend enough. Thank you Durga! ❤️🙏
Matthew Sian: Great selection of religious goods
Jon Pickell: Love this store!
Travis “Crazy Travis” Jeffrey: You pay for quality here worth the stop 100%
Kacey Vaughn: Kind woman runs the shop. She is very compassionate. The store is beautiful and healing to me. Many beautiful dresses.
Sandi Productions: It is good to see a Himalayan themed store in Ann Arbor. It has the items you would expect to find at a business of this name. The pictures, and short video they have included gives you an excellent idea of the vibe of the store and what they carry. These are very helpful. Very nice to peruse while on Main st.I was last minute gift shopping before Xmas. Curiosity got the best of me with items I had seen and some I did purchase. I went on Amazon to see the pricing there for the same items. As expected, items are more expensive in store vs online Amazon. After all, purchasing at stores on Main street is about the experience of being in downtown Ann Arbor. For me, given I live in the area, I do not need to pay double for the experience, and therefore I won't be purchasing anything from this store again. If you are on a budget, you may want to proceed with caution or just keep in mind you are paying for a shop on Main in Ann Arbor.
Alinuru com: Lovely energy... Learning and practicing the lessons of compassion, loving-kindness, and more... A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step!
Dominic Murphy: Wonderful experience with very helpful employees (=
R. Review: BUYER BEWARE! Found the cutest skirt, but when I got it home it stank! Impossible to tell in the store with all the incense burning. Even after washing it still reeked. I made the mistake of gentle washing with a few other items and they now stink too! Of course when I took it back to store they said no refunds. Very disappointed. I'm now out $40 for a cute skirt that stinks. They also gave no receipt. Said it would come through email, but it never did.
E. B. Snodgrass: Interesting store with items from Nepal. Nice quality but you will pay for it. Sales person was quite helpful.
Leilani Wong: Fun trinkets
Chilly Willy: We had the Best experience there. The owner was so great with us. She took time to explain everything to us which we had questions. We will definitely revisit her shop!
Anthony Hernandez: Interesting store with unique selection of goods.
Susan Bunton: Nice gifts
Francis Esmonde-White: Very nice store. High quality unique clothing, and interesting random things such as singing bowls. The corner set up as a museum about Mount Everest is quite interesting. They're also very nice.
Brittany Walker: Went in with my sister and girlfriend and immediately I noticed a little girl watching us. At first I noticed her because she had a book and I was thinking good for her reading while her mom worked (owners daughter I'm assuming), but then I notices that she was watching my sister as she shopped and looked at things. Long story short this little girl blatantly followed us throughout the store watching to make sure we wouldn't take anything. This saddened me, I made my sister aware and we left. To be a 30 yr old woman stereotyped by a child who is no older than 10 whether on her own or something she was taught to do upsets me as a human and upsets me to think about what type of human they will grow up to be.
