Carefree Capping: My 23-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Hodgkin‘s lymphoma last year. She needed dry ice so she could use cold cap therapy during chemotherapy to try to save her hair. The wonderful people from Ann Arbor welding supply gave us the dry ice for free. What a wonderful business. We can’t thank them enough!

Mary Garboden: We just had the greatest experience with the staff here. They took care of our needs quickly and in a super friendly manner during a massive power outage. When the outages began, they ramped up their dry ice production. They charge less than meijer and have so much more supply. Some businesses would do major price gouging in a situation like this but they absolutely did not. Be sure to bring your own cooler if you’re coming for dry ice!

Todd Herbst: Good selection of PPE, consumables and machines. Very knowledgeable staff willing to help. From filling gas bottles to buying a new machine, I’ll be a returning customer for a long time.
Jonathan: I have used Lessor for a couple years. The manager at the Ann Arbor store is rude and treats "refill" customers very differently than the regulars. He'll make refills wait until after he's helped everyone else in the shop, even if you were there before the hardware customers.He pulled some shenanigans with my son when I sent him in to exchange a cylinder - the net outcome was a $100 loss.When I asked him why he would do that, he denied it and got viscerally hostile.When I called the main office, Gary, the owner, told me he'd look into it. He was just as rude. When I asked him why he wasn't concerned about the situation, he replied - it happened a while ago - how is he supposed to remember. Didn't seem to care the staff member is rude.Plenty of other places to get gas. I won't return.

Daniel Carl: Tried to get a 75/25 argon CO2 tank. Didn't have any in stock, was told a shipment would come in at the end of the week. Came in on Friday to see if the tanks came in. No thanks, was told to come back Tuesday. Go figure, no tanks on Tuesday. Every other store has em in stock but are too far of a drive to get on my lunch break, especially when all welding stores close before most of America gets off work. A big waste of time

Most other shops wouldn't have helped me unless I was buying something.Most items needed are in stock, things I needed were ordered and arrived in 2-3 days. Got a phone call promptly when my items arrived. Mike and Mike the owners/managers, were extremely kind. Always willing to answer amateur questions. There prices are very fair, very close to most internet products that are not on sale. I highly recommend going to them for all your welding needs.

Terry Thurman: I would like to comment on my recent 1st time experience,(2/18/21), when i walked into the Matheson business in Wixom. I was trying to buy/exchange my empty argon bottle, for a full one. I was so fortunate to have Chris Streng to wait on and help me, for he professionally answered all my questions, and got for me just what I needed. I will certainly be a returning customer, for my future welding supply needs!... (Matheson is very lucky to have a "customer friendly" and hard working employee like Chris!)

Nic Outdoors: This store is terrible, I was told they stopped selling tanks of gas to customers! I had just purchased a tank the month before. -Spring of 2023- Very limited knowledge of basic equipment and also very rude staff! I called Purity in Lansing for assistance and was totally overwhelmed with awesome customer service! I would rather my Airgas tanks set empty and buy new ones from Purity……. 2 star rating at most! Airgas please just go away!

Dan Chambers: Very poor customer service, was told over phone that they stock braided feed line and would be able to provide me with appropriate fittings needed. He advised me to bring in the line so they could see it in person and get the appropriate thickness and size of fitting. So I drove an hour out there and upon arrival spoke with another gentelmen and he said they were unable to do such a thing. Even spoke with the gentlemen I had the conversation with over the phone and he denied what he had said. Maybe because his boss was present he couldn't lie like he did on the phone. Bad service, go somewhere else.
