Charles Dunlop: Dr. Sensoli is great, but a particular staff member in the Chelsea office does not inspire confidence. Long wait at followup appointment in Ann Arbor before doctor was available. Discharge nurse in Jackson gave incorrect information, subsequently overridden by two doctors. In short, the support staff in this operation appear to need more training.Check-in at the Ann Arbor office begins with a driver license scan. As one who is seriously concerned about privacy in the age of technology, I don't appreciate that system.

Jamie Stubbs: Had Refractive Lens Exchange. Did not have good results. Never saw the surgeon after my surgery, even though my vision was blurry and worse than before surgery! I couldn't get anywhere with the post op Dr. So I switched to a dif practice. The new practice said that I NEVER should have had RLE!! That I should have had lasik. They are trying to fix my eye. Meanwhile my vision is worse and I'm so upset!!!

Jim Guffey: If you’re considering going to this office, make sure you are clear on your insurance coverage. My son was a patient and was told they accepted his insurance. In the middle of his eye exam, an office girl came in and told him they couldn’t continue because they did not accept his insurance . After waiting approximately 4 weeks for appointment and referral, he is now back to square one. And losing more vision every day. Office manager basically said he was responsible for knowing his coverage.

Tharider J: I went to the Kellogg Eye Center after receiving a recommendation from a highly regarded hospital in Maryland that I have cataract surgery for both eyes and additional surgery to insert a tube to reduce interocular eye pressure. Dr. Shah at Kellogg recommended a relatively simple outpatient laser treatment that was quick and seems to have worked. I'm glad I got a second opinion from the Kellogg Center.
Sven Holcombe: Like others have noted, the scheduling system is entirely broken. Routine check-up appointments do not need 2.5 hours in a waiting room (it would have been longer, we gave up due to other commitments scheduled 3 hours after supposed appointment). It is impossible for this length of a wait to be a surprise to staff yet there was no mention and no communication of any kind. Not a recommended location for pediatric care.
Sarieshalls: archaic controlling mask rules . ridiculously long wait in the waiting room. different doctors have conflicting diagnoses. restricted insurance- only ine vision company accepted.
Ariana Thelen: I have been consistently been kept waiting more than an hour after appointment time for my child to be seen. There was never any explanation or apology offered. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional.
Gee Money: Horrible wait times. You will sit for hours. It never seems busy. But you will sit and wait for hours. Go to Kresge or somewhere else!!!

Ryan Pratt: This place used to be great. Unfortunately, the back office is considerably understaffed in 2023. I've been trying to get a new lens ordered for months now and still don't have full eyesight due to their inability to just order me my lens. I'm moving to a new doctor.
Cynthia in Chicago: Don’t schedule eye surgery if you’re not local! Went for pre-op appointment. At end of appointment doctor indicated he had no idea I was there for surgery pre-op. I scheduled the surgery 9 months ago and the doctor cancelled 3 days before 1st procedure. Scheduler suggested I go ahead with one lens replacement and just deal with un-corrected double vision for an additional 4 weeks until the doctor was available again. No problem for scheduler or doctor if I couldn’t drive, read, or do many other things. My husband scheduled vacation to drive me. We had hotels that had to be canceled. Plans for an international travel had to be cancelled. No problem for Kellogg Eye Center!

Jen W: I have had good experiences here, but today is an atrocity. I’m here with Grandma, who is 95! We’ve been here two hours. This was an appointment they rescheduled, and they have no sense of urgency or respect for the time of others. This is unhealthy for an elderly person besides. She feels like they don’t care about her care. I’m inclined to agree. They’re unapologetic. I would not recommend bringing an elderly loved one here. I’m beyond annoyed. I type this and have found out she still has two people in front of her to see this doctor. We were given no warning about this visit taking this long. This is horrendous. Really and truly. This place used to be a well-oiled machine and it’s just not now.Add to that… people visibly and audibly sick are here. They’re not sending them home or rescheduling them. Just letting them fill the air with gross.
Mel: Drove 2.5 hours only to be told my insurance may not cover this appointment and I needed to sign a waiver that I would be financially responsible for all expenses??? How about a phone call prior to appointment with an option to reschedule until insurance/coverage is determined? Extremely disappointed
cheyenne: I took my daughter who has special needs to the center for a consultation at the referral of her doctor. We seen the eye doctor and she was wonderful. They are great with children who have special needs. We were going to have a sedated exam but the doctor was so patient and thorough that we didn't need to do that. I appreciate their services.
Kayla Fike: Unbelievable wait times.I got an appointment first thing in morning when they open. I got into the room and thought this will be perfect! I’ll be in and out in no time!I’ve been sitting in a room for over 30 mins with no nurses or doctors. The 2 nurses who came in to do the basic field tests didn’t talk to me as they did the tests, and another nurse just checked to see if I’d had a test I did 30 mins ago done. Every time I come here the appointment takes well over 2 hours and I only meet with the actual doctor for 5 mins.Very unhappy with the care I’ve been receiving here at KEC since my first appointment a year ago.
Dennis Paquette: I can't say enough great things about this place! I had anterior uveitis and it changed my life forever! This place was incredible! Understanding, patient, kind, and did everything they could to reassure me and make sure I felt safe and cared for! They got on top of the problem and my eyesight has returned and I'm beyond grateful for that! I'm so grateful for this place and their staff! Without them I may have lost vision in my right eye for good. I am forever in their debt!
B J Y: I just completed my second cataract surgery at Kellogg Eye Center. They removed cataracts from both of my eyes. The customer service was great, the nurses were wonderful, friendly, attentive, the operating room staff was A+ including the nurse anesthetist. It was a wonderful experience. And what made it even greater is that I can see clearly again. I’m so grateful to them for removing my cataracts and replacing them with new lens so that I can see well. And while performing that service, their care and attentiveness was outstanding. I don’t hesitate to recommend them!
Dwayne Michael Carter JR: Worst place. Over schedule appointments, you will be waiting for more than 2 hours just to be seen. They need to do better with appointments. The doctors are great, but the overall waiting is too long

Min Ling: The billing department here is a total mass, my daughter went for an appointment back in May, and they charged her for two future charges (I believe they should bill the insurance first) and she paid. Guess what, after almost three months, the payment was still not posted into her account at patient financial. Still do not know where the payment went, did somebody pocket that money?

kwein kwein: Years ago I had a quality refraction here. However, since it has been a while since that exam, they insist on a comprehensive exam $$$ when I already had one recently through my U of Michigan insurance. The practice won't update my prescription without another expensive comprehensive exam. From past experience, you should obtain clarification of how much of insurance pays ahead of the appt.
MICHMSNRN: Excellent exam. Doctor takes her time and is very thorough. Highly recommend.
Elisabeth Struve: While the doctor was decent, the customer service was horrible. They gave me a choice of only a few frames... None of which fit my face properly. They would not allow me to use old frames, would not let me pay up front to get my prescription quicker, and made me wait 2 months for my glasses. I tried to get my prescription to take it elsewhere and they made difficult. I went in to talk with them and the optician i spoke with had no idea what he was doing... He took notes about my requests and promised to get back with me. The glasses I ended up with are so bulky that I am going to have a sore face from wearing them. Additionally, the vision therapist blamed a previous eye doctor I had seen for causing my problems with my vision... Quite unprofessional.

Judi Graber: I do not recommend Dr. Curcione at all if you value the health of your eyes. My eyes developed glaucoma under her care and my right eye so serious I have severe stage optic nerve damage. Thankfully, only mild stage glaucoma in my left eye.I saw her 3 times from July, 2012 to April, 2015. My tonometry increased from 19 to 36 in my right eye and 18 to 25 in my left eye. Not until I had optic nerve damage did she recommend I see a specialist. By then it was irreversible. I am stable with laser treatments and drops.

Show up about month later right on time and they have no record of my call or appointment or information. I show them the record of when I called, they said sorry. Would not recommend to any one.
Diane Rice: I have been going to Ann Arbor Optometry for the past few years. If it is your first visit you can download all the new patient forms from their website and fill them out ahead of time to save you time at the office. I have seen both Drs Curcione and Sorter and am happy with both of them. I've always had very little wait time before my appointment. They take my insurance (Davis vision) and it seems like they have pretty big selection of frames. I cant comment on pricing since I took the basic Davis frames, but I was not pressured for any pricy add ons. I wear contacts and usually check out the online pricing before my appointment. Dr Curcione is always willing to work with me to make the price of ordering contacts through the office competitive to the prices offered online. The doctors are very knowledgeable about contacts and were even able to prescribe a special lens type for my eye with astigmatism (I've worn contacts for years and they were the first to tell me these were available).

She also showed me the differences between my good eye and my bad eye so I could understand better, and helped me get an appointment with a specialist in just a few days. I was her last appointment of the day and she stayed late to make sure we had all the tests and images we needed - thanks to her staff for sticking around too!
