When we were stuck in triage for 80% of my labor, she turned the tiny intake room into a spa with a combination of tea lights and music. Joanna Spencer-Segal: We couldn't have been happier with our doula experience. Kristen was so dedicated to making sure that everything in my plan was carried out. They have a wonderful system for making sure that a doula is available whenever you go in to labor. This was really important to me as it was possible that my husband would be out of town for the birth. I felt immediately supported by Kristen and Jade when we met them, and was comforted knowing that one of them would certainly be there with me. In the end, my husband made it, but Kristen integrated herself so seamlessly into the team and helped give him some rest and me the support I needed for a successful VBAC. She was truly there to support my experience and wishes - there is no judgment by these doulas or pushing of any way childbirth "should" be, just the way the mother wants it to be. I would absolutely work with them again.

Lily Gershenson: I don't know that I can adequately emphasize how wonderful the doula services and classes offered by Ann Arbor Birth and Family are. Sierra and one of her partners, Sara Marie, were our assigned doulas for the birth of our daughter in summer 2018. They were warm, reassuring and knowledgeable for all of the interactions we had with them prior to our delivery day. I sent several questions their way in the months leading up to the birth and they replied promptly and with helpful information for me as a first-time mom. When we went into labor we received the most skilled/experienced, and emotionally attuned support from them, all the way up until we met our daughter. It was a long labor and they were there for us every step of the way. Their competence in working with medical professionals at the hospital was note-worthy. Sunny Lin: Wanted a natural birth, went into labor and realized just how hard a natural birth was! Jade played a critical role in helping me through the long labor process with minimal intervention, just what I needed and wanted. Elise Frankish: We hired Sierra to support our family when our daughter was born. The thing that impressed us the most was how professional she was. She was very communicative about her expectations of us and what we could expect of her during the pregnancy and birth. She was great at listening to what we were hoping for, while still presenting information to help us expand our understanding of what was possible. She supported us every step of the way, even through a long labor and into breastfeeding concerns. She made a fabulous referral to a lactation consultant when we reached a need for expertise that exceeded her doula training. We would highly recommend a doula in general for any family who is considering it, and Sierra Hildebrand is one of the best! She is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate.

Narmada Liyanaarachchi: Dr Williams seems great. The nurses and sonographers not so much. The latter are incredibly rude, cold, and dismissive. Not sure how it's a comfortable place for expecting mothers who are already stressed due to being high risk.

Stubborn Sicilian: I experienced very friendly staff. The front desk ladies greeted me right away with a smile and the lady who did the ultrasound on me was kind and very thorough at her job.

Kalayah yasharahla: My most recent appointment I called them and said I’d be running late I arrived and they didn’t allow me to go to my appointment although no one else needed to be seen that day.(no one in the lobby). My first 20 week ultrasound the sonographer was very cold and she ruined the excitement of the experience. She also jabbed my stomach so hard I was in pain for the rest of the week I asked her if it was normal for her to do that and she said yes turns out I got a second opinion and it’s not !! I also went to the hospital for an ultrasound unrelated from that experience and they were very gentle and still apologize for any discomfort.Don’t ever let whomever doing your ultrasound make you feel uncomfortable if they are TELL THEM !!and tell them to stop doing it so rough ask to see someone else. This is putting your child at risk. Switching providers because they don’t care well for there patients and they don’t give you a comfortable experience during such a big time in your life !

Megan Messana: I've been to this practice for three different pregnancies. There was a gap of five years between pregnancies two and three. When I went to Google to look up the phone number to schedule my scan for number three, I was shocked at the low reviews. I thought to myself "something must have changed," as I had very positive experiences with my first two pregnancies. Hence, I was a little concerned when scheduling my scan for this pregnancy. After the scan, which was a wonderful experience, we were advised to continue following with the MFM doctors. Every single visit (and there have been many) to this practice at both the Arbor Park and West Arbor locations has been great. The staff is supportive and caring, and the doctors spend time with the patients who really need it (whether that patient is me or someone else). I feel as though I have received top-notch care from IHA MFM and I would HIGHLY recommend it to other expecting parents.

Cheyenne Leigh: My experience here was absolutely amazing! From check in to check out, every staff member was caring and so nice! Our ultrasound tech was so helpful and nice and honestly was amazing! Dr. Williams was soooo helpful and explained everything and answered all my questions. I felt so comfortable asking questions and sharing concerns.

Amanda Mckinnin: I came in for my appointment 5 minutes late and the receptionist Jasmine forgot to check me in until 15 minutes after my appointment time so I had to reschedule. Also she had a bad attitude, kept talking over me and acted like she didn’t make a mistake and put her mistake on me.

Jillian Eckhout: I was pretty nervous coming here after reading the reviews of other people. But I had a very nice experience! Morgan was very nice, and showed us everything she was looking at. She told us when to look away so we didn't see the gender. I was very happy with the ultrasound experience, and I hope have a good experience too!

Elizabeth wilhelm: I have been seen at this location a few times for two different pregnancies. With my last baby I was there twice and the first time the lady was wonderful! She was so engaging and walked me through everything. The front desk staff is always so wonderful too. More my second time which was to tell me the gender, she was rude and cold and like a robot. I can't remember her name but I told the front desk that if I come back I never want her again. She was the only problem I've ever had here or I would have gave it 5 stars.

Allison Dennison: I have had two experiences at this clinic. The first would have warranted this facility 2 stars because the ultrasound tech we had was not personable, unfriendly and didn't seem to care about us at all. Mind you, this was our big 20 week ultrasound and this is our first baby so my husband and I were very excited! This tech really ruined the experience for us with her cold attitude and condescending comments. However, my second experience two weeks later was a night and day difference!! The tech I had was named Taylor and I would recommend her to anyone! She was so sweet, informative and truly cared about me and my baby. The ladies at the front desk are always kind and they are prompt at getting you into your appointment. Due to my most recent tech and the overall experience I've had there, I would definitely give this facility 4 stars!

Cameron Youngblood: So disappointed. I read the reviews before my anatomy scan appointment and took them with a grain of salt, but the staff was rude and not personable at all. Our sonographer seemed like she couldn't get rid of us fast enough, was not interested in making small talk or really engage with us at all, and when she confirmed that we wanted to know the gender, she just blurted it out with no cheerfulness or excitement. This was our first baby and although I'm not technically high risk, we almost lost our baby in the first trimester so it would've been nice for the staff to be nice and comforting, which I don't think is a lot to ask having been through a difficult pregnancy so far. You're dealing with moms to be that are experiencing a wide range or emotions and my experience here was so disheartening. Hoping everything on the scan was normal so I don't have to go back, because I really don't have anything nice to say about my experience here.

Tiffany Bradley: If i could give this practice 0 stars i would. Everyone is always so rude to me & it is not a patient driven office at all from what iv experienced.My first appt i waited for 6 hrs there between the ultrasound & waiting for the Dr to get there. & after being there for that long i Then expressed my concerns about getting put on insulin that i cant afford she never seemed to care & told me basically it was her way or no way instead of caring about what i even had to say.I am beyond frustrated with everyone at this office & i dread calling them and going in.

kaila woodman: PRACTICE MANAGER: MAUREEN HENNESSY! Extremely unhelpful and rude! IHA missed scheduled my ultrasound at the wrong location. No availability until 10 days from now. Can’t fit in ONE more patient... I have a reveal party in two days with family from out of state coming in. She tells me to “reschedule the party.” Something so important in my life and she seems to not have a heart.

Kat W: I honestly hate this office. Their ultrasound techs are not very good at their jobs (my baby is "never in a good position" and they complain about my BMI in every report) and the doctor's have downplayed every concern I had (but then conveniently sent me for tons of bloodwork and even a fetal MRI at Mott Children's). They can't give me a definitive diagnosis and pretty much went nuclear (i.e. ultrasound every week until I deliver) over a slightly elevated blood test that is likely a false-positive, as I have not been I'll. I work in healthcare and it sucks to be treated like your concerns don't matter and also to get a shrug at every appointment. I'm about to schedule a second-opinion consultation because this office doesn't know what's going on/downplays it, but my midwives are super concerned. This is not patient-centered care nor is it comforting that even when they "talk with their colleagues" they still can't come up with any answers for us.

Trae Bohlen, Pampered Chef: I had a wonderful experience here. The ultrasound tech was gentle and knowledgeable. I received excellent care. The guidance in regards to which testing to get after the ultrasound was very thorough. The staff was excellent. I highly recommend this office. I felt very cared for.

Liqing Su: I had a terrible experience here two days ago as I had my 12 weeks ultrasound here with the sonographer # P12100, because the baby did not turn face and she was rude and impatient, she poked me too hard and made me very painful. During the ultrasound I had a little spotting and after that I had heavy bleeding... then I had to go to the hospital emergency care and still have some bleeding today. She makes my days awful with terrified and I aslo have to cancel my trip... I still at home looking for what will happen to me and my baby...
