Philip Burtt: I used the app/online check-in and it was so easy! Would definitely recommend.
Kurtis Rosen: Do not use this company.We made a reservation last year for an event, and they overbooked themselves leaving us without a truck for hours.This year, they cancelled my reservation without letting me know or giving me any information at all. We will no longer be using this company again in the future.
Akash Kumar: The manager, I think his name was Brandon, really went above and beyond. He spent time trying to help me out with something that he probably didn't even really have to do. It was just good customer service and he really seemed like a nice guy who cared that my move wasn't a disaster. So really appreciate you man
Dare Speak: I made Van rental reservation at U hall on state street Ann arbor for about 3 miles. Went to pick it up met the owner manager. I have never seen such incompetence. He ask for my driver license I gave it to him he took a picture of it. Then he ask me to take my hat and took a picture of me. It took him more than 30 minutes to give me the key he asked for my email I asked why he needed it he said to send me the receipt. I said no print me one here. . He did the receipt indicated that the van tank was 75% full when I checked it in the van it was 25% full. I went back told him about it he said he gave me the wrong keys. Then he said ok go ahead I changed it . And did not give me a receipt, when i asked for it he hesitated little before and then gave it to me. Very suspecious, and was racially profiling me. It's sickening🤬..... I finished what I needed the van for in less than 30 min and less than 3.5 miles the tank at the end register 1/8 of a tank strange!!!!!! . It took 1 gallon to bring it back to 1/4It looks like they screwed around with the fuel metter how can a small van consumes 1 gallon in less than 4 miles????A lousy business.....to say the least If you ever rent from them watch out. I gave him/them 1 star they deserve 10 times less😡👎
Joe S: I drove for 12 miles and they charged me $60 for extra miles I didn’t drive (they said I drove 70 miles) because they don’t track their odometer. MAKE SURE TO TAKE A PICTURE

leslie moskal: I made an appt to get the wiring for my hitch replaced. First when I called he didn't know how to schedule it. Finally got an appt. When i went in I was waiting because I was told it would not take very long. 2 1/2 hours later it's finally done. And I found out the reason it took so long was a guy came in to yelling at the mechanics and wouldn't move his truck so they did his repair first. That is not how appts work. Walk in should not be done before an appt. If I had known this while I was waiting I would have left and gone somewhere else
Sharon Kardia: Don't trust this Uhaul dealer. They called me 2 hours before pick up to say that there was no truck!!! They are completely incompetent.
SpaceY: Had reservation, then went to pick it up. The trailer turning light won’t work. Then they get another trailer for me, but this second trailer was missing surge brake fluid reservoir cap. The guy stated that there shouldn’t be a problem with it. The last thing I want to have is for the brake fluid to spill all over the road. The fact that the guy stated that there’s no problem with missing brake fluid cap showed incompetence and doesn’t reflect well on uhaul training program.
Lori Gala: I ordered a pod to move from Michigan to Colorado and Char delivered it. She was amazing, knew what she was doing and super friendly. Absolutely recommend!!

Nick V: No showed for the moving help (booked through them) on moving day. I called to confirm everything the day before and was told I was all set and "you don't need to do anything except wait for them to arrive with your ubox at noon." When they didn't show I called to see if they were running late. There was no confirmation or booking for moving help or delivery even in the system. Eleven calls later being transferred, "disconnected" with no call back, and told to just keep calling the same number on repeat, I finally got someone who could make something happen...then she said "I can't get this to go through, sorryl." While on the phone with her, I got a notification I was charged 3x (guessing each time she tried to get it to work). After holding for awhile, she met with a manager and she then said there was nothing they could do to guarantee the confirmation and help would arrive. Also, it would take a few days to refund me.I just canceled. Avoid this place and go with someone else. Even if paying th extra, it is better than having to cancel patients, unpack your stuff to repack it, and you will be paying with time and more money due to rescheduling and "last minute" costs at a decent place that can operate a simple process. Also, you will get a text to leave a review, but of course, the link just times out. If you value your time or stress, go with a better company
Chris Goolsby: Scheduled my 15 foot truck two weeks out. Was supposed to pick it up at 9:30. Moving help coming at 10:30. Get to this place and no truck. Sat there for 30 minutes and they couldn't find me a truck. Regional U-Haul finally found a 26 foot truck 40 minutes away for a substitute. The moving helpers were great and pushed their arrival time out an hour to help me out or my move would have been ruined. U-Haul screwed me over big time. Driving a huge truck way bigger than I need and paying much more for gas. Avoid this location and U-Haul in general. What a nightmare.
Miriam Bartleson: Brandon saved our necks. We couldn’t figure out how to get into the storage unit building after hours (9:00pm) and called Brandon. He was extremely helpful and drove to the storage unit to help us get in, even though he already had left the facility. He even moved the stairs for us to access our unit. He was also kind enough to close out my account since we were moving out. Thank you so much we appreciate you!!!
Steven Copeland: Be careful renting from there, the manager of the facility will charge you for extra milage and has if you don't take photos before you drive off. He has horrible customer service. The U-Haul on State Street is better!
abraham wickelgren: They don't understand what a reservation is. We made a reservation for a storage unit, and then they gave it away to someone else who showed up earlier. What is the point of making a reservation in advance if they won't keep the reservation? This is just terrible!

Jim Miller: Edit Feb 2022 -- Just stopped in. Kylie promptly did a great job helping me fill multiple tanks of propane. She worked fast & safely while explaining my options for a questionable tank. Thank you! Old Post --- This location advertises Propane for sale. I've been in three times in the past month or so and they've been 1) "computer down" and can't sell; 2) "can't take old tanks or sell a new one due to supply issues"; 3) "propane tank down" so no propane. Only reason I'm giving them two stars is because they used to be helpful.

Maria Maria: Only had my stuff here for a month and my sofa, armchair and a box of clothes were ruined by ceiling leaks. Luckily I bought insurance on the unit so I got some of the value back. The store manager assured me that I wouldn’t be receiving any of my unit rent back before I even filed my claim. She seemed to be trying to help but said the district manager wasn’t going for it. Several other units had visible water damage and rust on the doors. If you have to use this place, cover your valuables in plastic and get the insurance. I know I won’t be back.
Carl Vitullo: Rent increased twice, from $94 to $138, in under 18 months. Roof leaked with buckets under it for weeks. Keypads break and take weeks to be repaired. Will not use CubeSmart again

Edward Hyena: I cannot recommend this place. The roof leaks and has leaked since 2020. The corporate management and ownership has been content to throw bandages on the issue instead of fixing it with a new roof. Rather than compensate tenants for the uncertainty of whether they will stay dry, they raised the rent 25%. You can find space cheaper elsewhere and have a solid roof over your space.

Matthew Butler: Highly recommend. We were stiffed upon arrival in Ann Arbor by U-Haul (do not count on them to have a space available even with a reservation). Joe Owen at Cube Smart stayed late on a Friday evening to get us into a storage unit. He was awesome. Storage area was perfect. Clean and dry and easy to get items into. There is no reason to look anywhere else in the area.
Will N: My fiancé unit got flooded and they didn’t call her to let her know. It was only a fluke that we happened to go by to drop some things off that we found out. Water everywhere! Just some soggy cardboard boxes but the family in the next unit had severe damage to their belongings and the management was not being helpful to them. Just excuses. She was not told that there is a great deal of flooding when it rains when she rented the unit and they were well aware bc the manager told us he wouldn’t have put us in that unit if he knew it was one of the units that took on water. Wow. No thanks.

This facility has changed hands a couple times in the past few years, so I can't put all the blame on the current ownership, but several years ago there was a leak above our unit that ruined many boxes of documents. We cleaned that up, and they assured me they'd fix the leak. Well, last month their roof leaked again, and ruined more boxes of documents. I emailed their support address for help, and didn't get any response. When I was in most recently figuring out how to clean up the mess, the manager of the facility did come over to let me know he'd gotten the email and had forwarded on to regional management, but I haven't heard back from them. I'd advise you to look somewhere else for your storage needs.Update 3/5: Sending a third email to that help address, per your comment below.Update 3/10: Still no response to any of my 3 emails.Update 3/18: Moved out, as they still haven't responded. The on site manager came over to talk to me as we packed up all of our documents that didn't get ruined, and disassembled our now moldy shelves to throw away. He said he'd emailed regional management several times, but wasn't getting a response. He said the company believes the owner should be responsible for things like this, and the owner believes the company should be. I don't understand the setup, but if the buck stops with nobody, my bucks are going somewhere else.

Natasha Suddhi: Convenient storage location close to Ann Arbor, we appreciated that they were temperature controlled for our belongings. Some of the storage units are a bit further walk than others, but it's easy to pull the back of the truck up to the main lobby area, and then you probably don't need to walk more than 100 feet. The GM, Nichole, was wonderful, very friendly and helpful with all our questions and needs (we had an issue where we needed to re-access the storage unit we vacated, our own fault) even when she was super swamped with customers for school-day move in. Good pricing, highly recommend!
Cole Rechsteiner: Easy setup, good system, clean facilities, friendly people. Carts could be upgraded and wheels fixed, but other than that, great experience.

Bethany Ansorge: The staff is incredibly responsive and helpful when things are a little odd (e.g. not being able to provide a US phone number because I was living in Europe.)
Kelli spatafore: They raise rent continuously, their prices are way to expensive for what you get. I would not recommend them. They don’t care if they loose customers it’s all about money. Oh yes they charge a convenience fee to make a payment of over $3.00!
Erik Kangas: Alexis was awesome! She took the time to explain everything to me and helped me find the storage unit that fit my exact needs. Would recommend this place to anyone in need of a storage place.

The only thing is when I moved out and I let the front desk person know the day I moved all the stuff out and they said they would send me a move out confirmation and they never did and I almost got charged for another month but I just called and made sure and they sent me a confirmation then.
John Robinson: The staff itself is excellent, but when CubeSmart took over they changed the hours of the once 24/7 enclosed gate section to 6 AM - 10 PM, which was a huge selling point to. Now the hours are now AM - 10 PM, which is not acceptable. If you own a business you can still have that access for an additional $15 a month. I’m not sure what charging an extra $15 does. I’ve owned a space there for approximately 3 years now, and will have to look for another location, due to the new hours of the once 24/7. I’m sure others feel the same. Again, this has nothing to due with the staff at this location but the new management company.
