Momo Sushi - Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Kirsten Duenas: Super fresh and flavorful!! We ordered the orange ceviche, firecrackers, momo burrito, and rainbow roll. Everything was fantastic! And such unique items on the menu to choose from, when we're in town again we'll definitely be back!

Kaitlin: Probably my favorite Sushi spot in all of Ann Arbor and definitely the best spot for an amazing sushi burrito! They are fast, efficient, and consistent. Highly recommend!!
Lea Gierucki: Very good bowls. That's what I order every time I go there. Also sushi burrito is great!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Madison Cabuag: Ordered takeout and didn’t check my food until I got home. The Michigan roll is described as baked with scallops and shrimp on top. My roll had raw shrimp and scallops in a red sauce, not cooked, not carmelized, not the sauces pictured. The Philadelphia was good. The Michigan would’ve been good had it been made right, I’m not sure how they boxed it up seeing that it wasn’t cooked. The taro drink was fine but not great. Edamame was good, simple. And the Katzu don was delicious.
Bufosmixes: Walked in the door and friendly staff were quick to seat me, let me pick where to sit too. I ordered a poke bowl, and they made it very fast. And it was very tasty. Seems like a great place, I'd love to come again some time.
Kaleb Jomaa: Somethin real special is goin on here. The guy with the red backwards hat just made something happen for me. Best sushi you’ll find around, no joke

Emily: I attempted to call ahead for my order and their phone number doesnt work. Thankfully, the service was super fast. Took less then 10 minutes, and the staff was friendly. The Bibimbob was just "ok" flavor was very bland. & did not have anywhere near enough beef. It was probably less than 2oz. For a $13 meal, that was not worth it.
Leah: The sushi rolls are delicious and perfectly rolled! The prices are fair - especially if you are getting a lunch deal. I’m happy to have a yummy Japanese restaurant in such a convenient location - and without having to navigate downtown traffic. This is a independently owned restaurant! Shop local :)

Cassandra Johnson: My husband & I dropped in for dinner after a quick Christmas shopping trip at Briarwood Mall. The place is small, but clean and we were able to get a table right away. The staff was friendly and the service was good.We started out with an order of pork gyoza, which came out quickly. They were hot and crispy, but a little underwhelming. For dinner, we were intrigued by the "sushi burritos" on the menu. We love sushi and poke bowls, but have never tried anything like that. When we asked what the difference was, our server said they are the same, but the burritos are larger. The Fireball Burrito was actually a dollar cheaper than the Fireball Sushi Roll, so I gave it a try. It was tasty, but I think I'd go with the sushi roll next time as it just didn't feel like sushi eating it like that. I think I prefer the bite-size pieces and the crunch lost its crunch when mixed in like it was. My husband tried the Dragon Burrito and he enjoyed it, but felt eating it burrito-style was definitely messier!Overall, we felt like the food was good and the prices were reasonable. This is a casual and quick place to go for some fairly priced sushi (and sushi-like) dishes.
Ekashmi Rathore: If you are a vegetarian but love sushi, this is the place, where you can eat a lot. I ordered a combination and was fully satisfied. Miso soup was too good that I drank in less than 30 sec 😂Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Annie C.: WOW I do not understand why people like it here so much, speaking as a former server. Gyoza and shumai came from ready made frozen bags and shumai was microwaved, kitchen smelled awful, there were times where food was dropped on the floor and simply put back in the containers, and who can forget the time they lost power for a few days and instead of throwing the product away the chefs just smelled it before serving to customers. I don't remember the chefs wearing masks (back when they were required) or gloves and they would drink on their breaks, chefs were also pervy towards women and the owner is verbally abusive and will put money over all else. I highly recommend taking your business somewhere else.
Arbor Move: Amazing food. Great quality sushi. Clean and pretty little restaurant.
Gail Cole: Rainbow roll and house salad were delicious. The firecracker appetizer wowed my picky, never enough flavor husband.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free soy sauce
Kiel VanTiem: It was okay. There are plenty of options nearby that I would rather go to.
Derek Jones: Enjoyed eating here love the sushi burritos 🌯

matthew johnson: Needed to get some vegan lunch and this sushi place has more options than just about any sushi place we've ever been to. Tori Porter: The biggest issue with this place was the food. My warm rolls with tempura shrimp inside were ice cold. The rolls also tasted like they were left over from the previous day. I got the all you can eat sushi. After the ice cold rolls, I tried rolls that didn't require any frying, and I couldn't stomach them. I didn't order anything I've never had before or anything I didn't like, so that wasn't the issue. I was so sad, I left there still hungry because the food was just very disappointing. Also, the miso soup had no chunks of miso in it. I have been to over 100 sushi restaurants in my life and have never had Miso soup with no big pieces of miso in it. Overall, this place was disappointing, and I do not recommend it.
Sirisha Billa: Went 2x on Mon/Wed for 1/2 off sushi. Tried Cherry Blossom, Dracarys, Go Blue, Tiger, Papa Crema, and a few others. Out of them, Tiger was the only one worth eating. Dracarys was ok.Though the flamed Maki was fun to see, burnt eel sauce doesn't taste good and there was too much rice stuffed in there. Also, too much cream cheese! Not enough options with spicy mayo.Overall, convenient location, good prices, and good vibes but not stellar sushi. Also don't order anything blue, not worth it. And note that ordering system DOES allow bills to be split, just one credit card must be put in for the balance.
Sylvie Alexandra: The staff are very kind and helpful and the atmosphere is nice. I ordered sushi there and it just didn’t taste great. The torched rolls taste smoky and chemically, the krab was not fresh tasting, and I couldn’t eat the one I ordered. Not fresh and not good. I’d choose a different place for sushi in the area, there are amazing options close by that just taste better and have fresher, yummier, and sushi for similar prices. I would not go again, unless it was to party with a group, as the atmosphere is nice as are the staff, and it seems like a very fun night time hang out spot. But the 27$ was not well spent. I am disappointed.Vegetarian options: There are many vegan and vegetarian options
Learn Learn: Bad food mushy sushi and not great staff wish had old staff when it use to be actually decent and one person knew what they are doing . I only remember two people actually being great. Manager has attitude him and servers .

Dylan McKeever: AYCE sushi was good. Service was a little slow for how few other tables were present. Rolls were mostly good with some occasional misses, but to be expected when trying many different things
Will Brawley: My partner and I went for the all you can eat sushi. The miso soup was pretty good but the sushi was probably the worst I have ever had.We tried the Dracarys flamed maki roll and it was burnt and tasted like lighter fluid. We also tried the swamp thing maki roll, which had no flavor and was just mushy, and another roll I can’t remember that was "torched“ and it also had a strong lighter fluid taste and the shrimp tempura was over cooked and chewy. I ordered a spicy tuna roll as well and the tuna was mushy and not spicy at all.The atmosphere was meh at best and service was lackluster; there was only one server on and they only had three tables and us at the bar.I will probably never go back and won’t be recommending. It’s a shame to post bad reviews like this but if they don’t know, they can’t change anything. And yes we did tell our server we didn’t like the rolls. For $38 per person I would expect better quality.
Courtney Carpenter: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Eylene Wachowiak: The sushi here is top notch. Even though I'm not vegan, I like trying all different kinds of food, and I'll say the vegan sushi was great as well!!
Huyen Tran Nguyen (Lithium Dragon): They have an AYCE menu at Wolverine Sushi Bar that's really delicous and I love the amount of vegan variety they have for those eating animal-free. 😋 AYCE is available on weekends now too. 🍣 They also have vegan salmon and tuna sashimi!Featured:Vegan creamy ramen (not included in AYCE)Grasshopper x2RivendellThe CornballerTrippie HippieDietary restrictions: Vegan options
Nicolas Leroo: I recently tried Wolverine Sushi and was impressed with the quality of the food and service. The sushi was fresh and delicious, and the menu had a great variety of options to choose from. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Overall, I would recommend Wolverine Sushi to anyone looking for a great sushi experience.

JT: The fish is pretty good. I feel like they put way more rice than necessary, especially for AYCE. I got a peach slush that wasn't super sweet, but it was pretty tasty. The service was alright, there was one waiter working when I went.If you go there for the AYCE, I suggest getting the nigri more than the rolls since they put a lot of rice in them.
Thatchaphol Saranurak: Mediocre sushi. Bad poke bowl.Very expensive compared to quality.
Brandon “Bsweis” Sweisberger: All you can eat sushi!
Mariam Alroumi: First of all when we walked in they were surprised and shocked and they didn’t even smile just because we’re ARABS!! Second the waiter was very rude and the sushi was salty and finally they charged us as a large party ($80) just because we have 2 newborn babies that can’t even drink water and as we’re leaving the manager begged us not to come back.

Morgan Shatz: Subpar. The high reviews don't match the food. The take away didn't come with soy sauce. The rolls were uneven in shape and small for the price. The rice wasn't great quality either. With so many options in Ann Arbor, I doubt I'll be back.

Miki Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?
Mack Kim: Went back for the 1st time in 4 years. Back then i gave it 2.5-3 stars, but amazingly, the food has gone way downhill!Had to return some food(raw fish) that tasted like it went bad (slimy and sour). Almost threw up. Completely unedible. The bulgogi bento box which was previously good, was pretty bad too. The rolls which were once ok as well were flavorless and the rice was overly wet and mushy. Service was fine, but you go for the food. Honestly, I will never go back
Alex Arel: Lit!!
Eileen Thompson: Miki Japanese Restaurant is a gem! Their sushi is top-notch, fresh and incredibly delicious. The service is exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff. The beautiful atmosphere adds to the dining experience, creating a serene and enjoyable ambiance. A must-visit for sushi lovers! Cannot wait to come back and try some of their specialty rolls.
David Gankin: I came into Miki to celebrate my cousin's birthday. When waiting for a table we simply asked the manager about the time of closing, she responded so rudely to us which was completely unexpected. I had asked her not to speak to us that way and she responded by ignoring me and passive agressively sitting us down at a table without any apology, it really ruined the entire mood, and I will never be coming back.I dont understand how a manager of a restaurant can be so unkind towards the costumers.

As for rolls, the Hawaii Volcano was mouthwatering- tasted just like a ribeye.Service was courteous and helpful. But for a Tuesday, they were really going slow. Must need more staff. Also they have a diverse drink menu.Vegetarian options: PlentyParking: Typical downtown A2.

Trooper Long: I enjoyed the special California roll, and the chicken teriyaki bento for dinner at Miki Japanese restaurant. Our server was attentive, and everything tasted great.
Paolo Mutia: They put too much rice in their rolls, it's too much.
Jennifer France: Normally I would’ve giving this restaurant 4 stars because we have always liked Miki, but last night we had a terrible experience with 2 of their employees that made us decide we won’t be going back anytime soon. They were middle-aged employees (I only give that detail to distinguish them from all the young college-age servers so that the manager/owner knows who I am referring to): a man who greets people and takes them to their table, and a woman who I think was making drinks in the alcove near the kitchen. The greeter seemed normal until I asked for a 2nd menu when he seated us because he only gave us 1. The main menu has the full list of food and drinks; they also give you a separate menu, flyer, and order sheet specifically for sushi - I just wanted another main menu. He became very annoyed and asked me why I couldn’t just wait for my husband to finish reading it and then he picked up a little sign on the table that had a QR code on it and told me to use my phone to pull up the menu; he exclaimed that he’d have to give me “6 more menus” - referring to the sushi menus (that we weren’t using and didn’t ask for). While he was saying all of this, I was looking at a stack of 20+ menus at the host stand! Fortunately our server witnessed his little tantrum and just walked over to the stand, got a menu, and gave it to me. (Extra points for her!)The 2nd incident occurred when I went to use the women’s restroom. There are 2 stalls: 1 was occupied and the other was empty; a woman waiting in line explained that it didn’t have any toilet paper. So I left, found a server and asked him if he could find someone to put some TP in the restroom. He asked the older woman who was standing near the kitchen (but not actually doing anything at that moment) if she could get some TP. The fact that I was standing there made it obvious that a customer was requesting it. Her response was that she would “get to it in 10 minutes” and walked away. Mind you, she didn’t know whether 1 or both stalls were out of TP, but she wasn’t going to do anything about it for 10 minutes! Fortunately I found a little cart in the hallway that had miscellaneous supplies on it, including one of those big industrial size rolls of TP so I swiped it and took it to the restroom. Absolutely ridiculous response on her part. The only saving grace of the evening was that our server was wonderful and attentive. She got an extra big tip. The other two employees should be reprimanded - if they continue treating customers that way, Miki is going to lose more customers.
Johnathan Dugan: Great sushi, cool cocktails, interesting atmosphere. I'll be back.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Phil B.: Live locally and visit Ann Arbor a couple times a month and I'm upset I haven't visited sooner. Long time fan of Sushi when I traveled around the US and several visits to Japan. I was very impressed with the quality of the food! We had one of the "boats" and every item was perfect. Sushi Rice can vary and is really an important part of the dish. Miki has it absolutely perfect. As you can see in the picture, there's quite a good variety in this boat. Would definitely recommend and will visit again!
Okia Hardge: Food was low quality and over cooked.

Afshan Najafi: I went to Totoro back in 2016 when I used to live in Ann Arbor, then in 2019, and then again just a few days ago in April 2023. I should say the quality of the food has remained the same! I absolutely love their sushi rolls, they are one of the reasons I go back to visit Ann Arbor, and absolutely meet all my expectations. The miso soup is also delicious. My partner ordered the sushi tower and he loved it, he was so full afterwards! We went there for a family gathering but almost all the other tables were U of M students. I wish they opened up another location that is more quiet and family friendly, this one is really loud!
Daisja Huell: Amazing food and friendly staff!
Karen Pearlman: Love this place! Amazing vegetarian options and fair prices.
Issac N.: I dont know about you, but I DON'T make sushi rolls with a soysauce container shoved in the center. Who made this and thought this was appropriate? This is served with a level of "f&$% you" I didn't even deserve. Three stars because its still good. But not worth $16. At. All. Thank god I got a doordash refund.. that's $5.Food: 5/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Soup, Rolls …More
Jing: Fresh sushi! Great portions, fast service. Thank you to the waitress and chefs.
Sam Halloway: We stopped by here as we had heard it was the "best Sushi in Ann Arbor". We've tried a lot of the sushi in Ann Arbor and wanted to see if this placed lived up to the hype.We arrived and were seated promptly. We ordered our dishes and found that they took quite a while to arrive, about 30-45 minutes. I understand that it was very busy so I am not too upset about it, however it took about 25 minutes just to get our miso. For an appetizer, we ordered the takoyaki. For $7.50, we got four small takoyaki with hardly any octopus inside them. They tasted good, but most other places around here give you 6-8 takoyaki for about the same price range. It was disappointing to have the dish brought out after waiting a half hour only to see it was such a small amount. For our dinner, we ordered the eel tempura roll and the Spider roll, along with a chicken teriyaki bento. The eel tempura roll wasn't bad, but I've definitely had better at other places in A2. The spider roll was WAYY too big. Sushi is all about the perfect bite, and it was hard to fit an entire piece of the Spider roll in your mouth. The large size also meant there was a lot of seaweed in each bite, meaning there was a significant bitterness to each piece. If the pieces were smaller, there wouldn't have been a problem. The bento was pretty good. The California roll was good (though kinda hard to mess that up lol), and the chicken teriyaki wasn't bad. I would say that the chicken probably needs to be marinated to incorporate the flavor more. Tempura was good as well, and the rest of the bento was satisfactory.Overall, we probably won't come out of our way to come back to Totoro, but maybe if we were in the area and wanted sushi, we would go, or if we were invited, we would go. Otherwise there are better places in Ann Arbor and the Ypsilanti area. We appreciated the Tonari no Totoro theme, as we are both Ghibli fans, and the staff were very kind and prompt.
Anthonia Crowley: Utterly rude. Server literally slammed every dish and bowl on the table and explicitly asked for tips when paying. Food was average for the price. Tip for fellow tourists: stay away.

KANBU Sushi Downtown: what do users think?
Melissa Perez: The sushi here is delicious! Went during lunch and it was pretty quiet. I'd definitely do takeout or delivery from here, but it was a little weird to find since you can't enter from the front (you enter from the store).Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Staff are very professional and the food is super fresh and goood! We got the avocado shrimp & cucumber roll, fireball Roll, and Scotland roll. They all tasted amazing but my fav was the fireball. Savannah H: So delicious! Def my new go-to sushi spot.
Olivia Anne: This is the best sushi I’ve had in ages. The poke bowl had sooo much yummy stuff in it, not a ton of rice like most places I’ve had them. Highly recommend!!!
Qendresa Prebreza: Tried a few different things and mostly they were all delicious. It is not the best sushi place out there but it is good enough. Service is very quick. Overall I would recommend it.Recommended dishes Roll, Miso Soup, Poke, Seaweed Salad, Bibimbop …More
Sally: The service here is amazing, and the restaurant is very clean. All of their sushi was super fresh with generous servings of fish. Definitely the best quality sushi downtown. LOVE the Black Sea roll, definitely try it if you’re looking for something different. This may not be the most traditional sushi restaurants, but everything is fresh and they do not skimp on the protein here.
Ethan Bai: Good taste and service!
J T: Everything is so delicious! Love the sushi burritos.
dae Hall: Amazing food! And such nice staff, the gentleman working At the front brought out my food to my car for me while I was waiting for my pick up order. We will be getting more food from here!
Erica Simpson: burrito rolls are bomb, super kind staffParking: parked at the library garage for free on sunday, 1 minute walk
Maurielle C: Easily the best sushi restaurant I’ve been to yet. Friendly staff, clean dining area and bathroom, reasonable prices and wait time, and just great sushi! The menu is extremely extensive, it’s almost overwhelming (in a good way) due to all of the options!! Everything around us was cozy and the food others ordered looked great, as well. Would definitely recommend coming if you like sushi or other Asian cuisine.

Sadako Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?
Pi Omega: Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. For starters, the restaurant smelled weird, almost like a public bathroom. The miso soup was also very sour. When it was brought up with the staff, they became very aggressive. The fish tasted extremely strange and off, and the beef all tasted like McDonald's burger meat. They somehow made the vegetables taste raw and cooked at the same time. Would not recommend anyone to come again.
Cindy Sopko: I would give this a super meh rating. 1st was the smell. It was a little off putting, but not the worst smell. 2nd our waiter was pretty unfriendly and very blunt. Maybe he was having a bad day 🤷‍♀️. 3rd the sushi was overall mid. Not great, not gross. Wouldn't come here again personally. Better options elsewhere that are just as convenient.
KoriKitsune: The food was really good i highly recommend Beef Udon, and smoked salmon roll.Recommended dishes Roll, Soup …More
Brendan Schwalm: Not a sushi expert but I love it. Sadako had a nice little vibe, very reasonably priced rolls, free lil soup and salad that were also good, and fast service. My girlfriend and I smashed 5 rolls, an edemame order, a miso soup, and our free soup and salad and got out for $50 after leaving a 20%+ tip. All the rolls had at least 2 times the fish of similar sushi at the price as well. Just check it out
Connor Eulberg: Beat sushi restaurant in Ann Arbor, plus really good lunch specials, great food, and consisitently excellent service.Dietary restrictions: Can suit any dietary restrictions
Mike Lemmon: My entire experience with Sadako was awful. They give us the wrong food, my partner and I are vegan/vegetarian and they gave us shrimp. The food was also cold and undone. I would recommend not ordering from this place.
Sally: Best affordable sushi on campus
Yuko Sams: Awful. Service from start to finish was not good. Our food we ordered didn’t come the same time. It was between 20min to be served each person. My food was last to be served. I waited it for 60 min and my food was cold. Rice was mushy, salads was watery and disgusting and miso soup taste was funny but sushi was good.I was excited to eat here because of 4.5 stars but it was zero star restaurant.
Rachel's Music Garden: I enjoyed my lunch here. They had yummy sushi.I would caution people to ask for more detailed descriptions of the roll that they are ordering because it's not very clear on the menu. We ended up getting something very different from what we had expected. They seemed to have a bit of a lunch rush, so I wouldn't suggest it if you're in a hurry.Vegetarian options: They have good vegetarian and vegan rolls and it is marked very well to be sure that you're not eating meat.
Bev Beaumier: Food okay...definitely a college place...POOR service until Benny or Benji came along. Had to physically get up from table twice to request service. Tab was 197.00....likely many tables combined....Mom and Dad obviously established and next generation will shut it down. Will NOT return
Pierre Horgrow: Wonderful!1st time in the restaurant as a patron & it was very FULLfilling!🍣 🍥 ❤️Literally, I'm very full & it was very filling as well as very delicious.🥢Glad to have had such an enjoyable meal!Parking: Would suggest coming down on Sunday when the parking is free.
Griffin Schultz: Amazing. You’d be happy if you went here! Just go (:
Edward Shim: My girlfriend and I went for the first, and ordered a couple of rolls. However, we both got sick and threw up a day after. This is odd as I called and they replied that we received fresh salmon and scallops, but I am fairly certain Sadako is to blame for our food poisoning. Will be wary of going againFood: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sydney Tritsch: My sushi roll came with so much crunch on it that you could not even see or taste the sushi. The picture below is the sushi AFTER I tried to scrape it all off. There was obviously a spill in the kitchen, and they did not even try to fix it. When I called the store, the lady on the phone was beyond rude and yelled at me for complaining. She didn’t even try to understand and said that the chefs wouldn’t do something like that. I will never be ordering from here again. Bad quality food and awful service.
Pun Punyasavatsut: Recommend: Fire Dragon RollA Japanese sushi restaurant offering many options, with great flavors with great portion. Minor cultural modifications made while still staying true to the original.
Gloria Li: Best place in Ann Arbor to get sushi! Wish I could give this place more stars! Staff is friendly and attentive, food comes out quick, the rolls themselves are delicious (and HUGE). My favorites are the Johnny Boy and the Ann Arbor roll.
Matthew Jo: awesome value, unmatched by any other sushi placeRecommended dishes Roll, Crunch Rolls …More
Akira CA: You don’t do Gyudon with steak!! Looks good, tastes disgusting (2/5). Miso soup was supermarket quality (2/5).
Caroline Cisneros: I’m a pretty regular customer and have always considered it to be pretty average but worth the price. I got takeout today and it just looks horrid. It tastes okay but the fact that the sauce is just carelessly thrown on the spicy salmon roll really ruins the roll. I don’t like a ton of sauce in every bite so it wasn’t ideal and I can’t even eat some of it because it’s drenched in spicy Mayo.
Liam Choi: 여기 남자 서버가 존잘임 ㅇㅇ
Maurielle C: Average sushi. There is definitely better in downtown Ann Arbor. Firstly, there was one employee that was very blunt and unfriendly. He was just rude and was clearly in a rush. He wasn’t our waiter but he came by quite often, it was not pleasant. Secondly, the miso soup was extremely average and almost lukewarm when we got it. Once we got the sushi, I will not it was also lukewarm. We were told we’d get the soy sauce right away and it didn’t come for 10 minutes. Wouldn’t really recommend coming here, there are much better sushi restaurants in town just a few blocks over.
