Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop: what do users think?
Kara Shaw: This was my go to thrift shop- always found treasures- they have increased prices dramatically and you can tell they price point things on ebay..just disappointing- they have definitely lost the affordability factor
Marco Lerma: I have been greatly helped for the amazing and helpful stuff members at this store for 3 years. Me and my brother visited the store this last weekend as always I had a very good experience until we went to the check out. The lady who was checking me out was grumpy and dry with me and brother we noticed a evident change in the way of addressing us. Before us there were two white customers of whom I am very happy because they were treated with grace and kindness as it should be not matter colors and races. I’m pretty sure our skin color is a clear issue for Laura. Also, since she was having issues to give us change (paying cash), we offered her the option to pay with card and she said: «I don’t really care how you’re gonna pay…» I don’t have anything else to say other than to the rest of the staff, thanks for always being so kind and friendly :)
Jacqueline A: I had an exceptional visit per usual. The selection and assortment of everything is awesome. It's been a few weeks since I've been last in and there were plenty of new goodies. I left with some awesome contact paper for the bathroom and an adorable pair of green rain boots. The cashier was so friendly. Such a pleasure. Looking forward to my next visit!!!
Eileen Fields: Awesome Selection and Prices! I was unable to go with my family, so my daughter did a video call with and showed me some Incredibly Awesome products at Crazy Amazing Price!! I've wanted Stamping Bella stamps for the Longest time! Most of my crafty friends have them!! Update: May 20, 2023! I didn't find anything, but I bought something for my daughter!
I27T I84: Best thrift store in Ann Arbor. Unlike the Ann arbor salvation army, the prices here are actually affordable and fair!
Guilin Yang: 在这里可买到我喜欢的工具,用具等
Michael Santiago: If you enjoy thrift shopping, then this is the place to go! Lots of options and affordable prices.
Naiema Schimpf: Has got to be one of the most disappointing thrift stores I’ve been to in awhile. 80% of this stuff looked like things you’re senile grandma would pick up at a garage sale. I’m not looking for treasure but it was pretty sad in there. Also, printing out a picture of the resale value of an item to justify an overpriced chair or table is absurd. It’s a thrift store for a reason. Please stop doing that.
Mizz Meg: Just ur typical size thrift store. The Salvation Army that's less than a mile away from here has WAY MORE stuff.
cinnamon tea: This is my favorite thrift store ever! I don’t live in MI anymore, but always stop by when I come back to visit. I’ve never seen a better organized thrift store. They also have lots of fabric & crafting supplies! And a good selection of furniture. Also, the proceeds support a good cause.
Rachael Holbert (magicninja697): Bar far the best thrift store I've ever been at. Proceeds benefit the schools. There should be one in every school district in the country. Fyi there is a fee for using a card. Great place!!!!!
Rachel Sadowski: One of my favorite thrift stores! Always something to find, reasonable prices and friendly staff.
Isabella W: Well organized and great prices - go here for clothes, furniture, books, toys, housewares and more.
Abbie C In the D: It was my 1st time at this place and I love it! prices are great, store is organized and I am in love with their vintage collection. The stuff was super awsome, staff friendly and helpful. I will for sure add this to my regular thrifing route and do not mind the 45mins. Drive from Detroit.
Caitlin Milner: Came for winter attire. Found some comfy scarves. Plus a perfect art supply organization crate for $5.
Abigail VB: This is my FAVORITE local thrift store. I love stopping by on Thursdays to drop off some donations (super easy process) and then check out if they have any new items in. Prices are decent for a thrift store. I got an REI winter jacket in my size for only $15 bucks!
crystal jones: This was the first thrift store I ever visited with a couple friends, and it was great. Didn't go in for anything particular but came out with a couple things. They had a lot to offer tho I found a new doormat that fit me 😁 and a couple pair of pants. My friend found a microwave that looked brand new. We will definitely be back thank y'all for making my first time fun.
NK: This is one of the best and probably the most ethical thrift shop here in Ann Arbor. It's a humble store but it has a lot of treasures and things other thrift stores don't accept. The prices aren't bargains but they are usually fair. Most of the employees are very nice and helpful and it's great to say hi when I stop in. It's great to shop more affordable for me and to also support local schools in the process! ❤️🍎
Gracie F: Amazing craft section!
Stu V: A very nice thrift store with a wide selection of merchandise in a small store. Check out the better items in the boutique store next door.
Yaz Rojas: Se encuentra variedad de artículos en muy buen estado, limpios, bien organizado. Se nota que hacen un muy buen trabajo clasificando todo lo que venden. Muy buenos precios, mejor imposible.

Ann Arbor Thrift Shop: what do users think?
Kristyn Olson: Kind of small. Excellent finds though.
Retia Lindsay: Great experience great prices and great staff. Would highly recommend it to everyone.
Aurora Potter: Women who was at the door was very snooty about telling us only one person out of our group could go in
Suzanne Ostrowski-Dansel: Clean, friendly, often higher end items, well lit, covid aware, manned by hard-working, kind, dedicated volunteers who know what they're doing, organized, good systems for keeping new items out on the floor. What a resource for our community!Thank you one and all!
guitargoddess82: Love stopping in when I'm in the area. Nice volunteers keeping everything safe and organized. Great store!
Laurie Robinson: Was definitely worth stopping by at! Had a nice mix of things, employees were super friendly. If you are in the area, check it out!
Tracy T. Heath: I have great luck finding accessories that I need but would never want to pay retail. I'm very hard on stuff and I love a deal!
Carol Varner: Love this shop beautiful items at great prices...Can't seem to walk out empty handed...Staff is awesome..I tell my friends about this place all the time.......Love it
Audrey Mills: I walked Thru the door and an employee greeted me with “You know we close at 4”. Then tried to hand me a mask. It’s been 2 years and they REQUIRE MASKS IN THE STORE.
Kelly Toth: I would give 0 stars because we couldn't even go in after driving 15 minutes to get here. They require masks to go in but don't offer them.
Cat: I read some pretty awful reviews on this place, but when my husband and I went in, the people were wonderful! Very kind and helpful, nice clothes and priced better than some other thrift shops. We needed to wear masks, but so what? We came out with some great deals! Plus, this place is all volunteer and one worker told us that this year, so far, they have given back to the community $400,000.00!! What's not to love about it? Anyone who is a thrift shopper will love this store. I wish I lived closer so I could shop there more often.
Timothy Toth: Ann Arbor Thrift is my favorite Thrift Store in Ann Arbor they are very clean and professional and the people that work there are awesome and they're very friendly and kind I love going there I live right up the street from there and I try to make it in whenever I can but I never leave before I try not to leave empty-handed they have such great things and some things are one of a kind so I strongly recommend going to Ann Arbor Thrift two thumbs up and two big toes
Cam: This thrift store sucks. I got yelled at by the older lady that works there because I didn’t put a mask on right away. 🙄 They don’t even have a good selection of anything. Save yourself the time and gas money and go somewhere else. Please.
Taxi Cab: We picked up name brand clothes for as little as $4 a COAT. An amazing selection of books as well. We picked up a hard cover book of Shakespeare's full works for $2. Very much recommend you check it out. The ladies running the place are a delight.
Kate Clarke Eberhardt: Seriously... customers wait in the rain. One person in ..one person out...and u must mask. Plus u are told by the customer in line wait patiently. Her choice indeed. It thrifty enough for my business.
Pa Jo: Awesome!
G Jones: Good
haley bell: This is my favorite thirft store in the area! I think everything is very fair priced and the staff is really friendly. There are some hidden gems in there all the time! It is also a great place to find home decor.
Thomas Deren: Wonderful place to donate to a great cause! Always great finds, dedicated and friendly staff, and an easy location. They even take clothes for fiber recycling if they're not fit for reuse!
Hannah Ong: Amazing amazing finds! Would shop here again in a heartbeat.
Vince Vasquez: So reasonable on all there prices, do visit when you're in the area.

The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center: what do users think?
Kara Shaw: Prices are getting insane!
Alexis Boyd: The bathroom had a half inch thick wood door that barely covered any of the wall and the dryer in the bathroom barely worked and the bathroom was never cleaned like probably in months I've never seen such an unsanitary bathroom in my life besides porter potties
Heather N.: Clean, extremely well organized and easy to browse. Best thrift store in the area.
Dennis Lester: Lots of treasures to be found
Nicole Leffler: SO many amazing options at this giant thrift shop! Moving back from our west the deals were epic. Tons and tons of items to choose from.Chris was a gem at checkout, she gave us try scoop on all the bargain days!It is dirty on the floor — so just be warned as the dust gets everywhere. Worth the values!
Matthew Butler: 2023 Update: Still one of the better SA's in Southeast MI.
Michele Mayer: I am a huge thrifter and this place is a top spot for me to find great bargains!!
Dee Ramos: Wow !! This place is huge with great prices and the young lady at the counter was very sweet!! Great spot to check out!
Ru Ha: One of the best I know of very nice.
nicholas rokicki: No bags no change 12 dollar donated sweatshirts everything is way overpriced for a thrift store
Claude Jones: Greta place!
Isabella W: Great place to go for second-hand clothing. Everything is sorted by color. They need more cashiers so that the line to check out is not so long.
Matthew Spoor: The prices here are bananas. It's a thrift store. Charging $13 for a shirt, some household items not much cheaper than Amazon. Please donate your items to Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Store. Keeps money local and they do not take advantage of people that don't have a lot of money trying to save.
Kathleen Dickensheets: Had was i was looking for at a great price
Josephine Brown: Very overpriced!!!
Christina V: I used to like this place, but lately they don’t have a lot of options (no hoodies at all and it’s freezing outside) and what they do have is way overpriced. It’s shameful selling stained up donations for $10.
Stu V: The Ann Arbor store is one of the largest in the area. The store is well organized and clean. The staff is efficient and friendly. Wait times to checkout can be long during peak hours.
David E. Warnock: Mon., 10/24/22 Drove 10 miles only to find it closed. Someone said the weekend was so busy they decided to take Monday to sort. Oh, it was pointed out that there is a sign coming in that they are closed. Too bad nothing on the website saying they are closed.
Nate Steiner: I've lived in Ann Arbor my whole life and just watched the prices at this place go out of range for even those with a low income. I've genuinely seen things priced as MORE than the original retail price of the item new. When dropping things off there, they're picky and make sure to comment on how much "****ing junk' youre dropping off. The line is always long and clothes aren't organized by size. Definitely taking advantage of being in Ann Arbor and being near the student population
Kathy Brewer: I've always had a great experience every time I go in there I love their merchandise and their prices and their music
Patti Wontorcik: I used to come here with my mom bc it was inexpensive and there's a big selection. In the past couple of years it's really changed, items are overpriced for no apparent reason. The selection is nothing special, very typical thrift store things. The changing rooms are hit or miss, they don't seem to be open very often and when they are just a couple. To summarize, a pricy thrift store with average items. I don't plan on coming back, there are other thrift stores with the same type of things for less.

Kiwanis Thrift Sale: what do users think?
Hiroyuki Takisawa: このリサイクル店では古着、おもちゃ、家具など様々な物を取り揃えています。なんでもあるというわけではありませんが、手頃な価格で気軽に必要な物を揃えることができました。店内は広くて動きやすかったです。
EBB: Great prices, lots to select from in all departments, clean, organized, more than one cashier, helpful staff, and fast and easy donation process. It'd be nice if more thrift stores were this well managed.
J and B: Tons and tons of people! Very unorganized! Not the friendliest people working here either! Not the best selection for how big this place is! Definitely will not be back!
Natasha Leanne Thompson: Quit watching people as if they are going to steal. Too many employees treating you like you would steal.
Nichole Birk: Amazing staff. Always happy to shop here and support a local nonprofit.
Nicole Bruesch: Always crowded and somewhat overpriced.
Nathan W: A wide selection of items. Some items are good and realistic in their pricing, others, such as jewelry, are not as realistic. It certainly is better in its pricing than the sharehouse down the road. The hours leave something to be desired, but I figure most can make the trip on a Saturday. For the life of me I cannot fathom why they still demand individuals wear masks, for that I withdraw a star. In this manner the store lives two years in the past.
Florena Brodman: What a GREAT thrift store! The entire concept is amazing! They take donations, then turn around and sell the items to support their good works for charities! They have a fantastic selection of housewares, clothing, shoes, toys, games, furniture, and Collectibles! Amazing place to shop!
Kelly Curtright: This is great thrift store. Lots of variety in the departments. The volunteer staff are friendly and helpful.
Sarah Steele: I used to find some real treasures here, but it's pretty disappointing these days. The prices are outrageous for furniture in poor condition, stained linens, and busted various and sundries. :(
Sylvia Hunter: Great prices and people to help a good cause. Can be busy but can find so many amazing things here.
Winter Buck: Still pushing the lies here.
Regina Addington: Nice, neat, well organized and clean!
Bill Moran: One of the biggest Thrift Stores ever! A little bit of everything... Clothes, shoes, electronics, books, records, cookware, furniture, lamps... Whew! Only open from 9am to 1pm Fri & Sat. Run by (mostly) friendly volunteers. [January update----Masks required with newest omni variant running wild in the county]
Suzette Mariotti: Huge, well laid out, fair prices, and something for everyone.
Rob Polens: Terrible! I had a staffer grab me when I walked past to see if I was shoplifting (I wasn't, I was just walking towards the bathroom). I felt violated and discriminated against. Extremely expensive and really rude!
Rachael Smith: I love this place. I come here to look at books and records.
Wanda Freeze: This us a great store. Would live to see it open more days.
MaKenna Powers: My favorite place to thrift. It's always clean and organized, the volunteers are very helpful, and I never leave empty handed.
R: Love this thrift store. Prices are mostly awesome. Selection is immense!
Kimberly Warren: Great prices!! Vast variety of items. The staff is amazing.

Plato's Closet Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Amy: Love getting all my Lulu clothes here for running and working out. Much cheaper than full price and if it gets snagged rowing on river I’m not worried. Store is relatively clean except the dusty floor (but that’s every thrift store). Come often as the college kids rotate through their wardrobes often and can snag good deals.
J. C: Excellent first time experience! Nice staff and reasonable price, will definitely come back!
Maurielle C: It’s really nothing special. Considering the amount of students from local schools or surrounding, I would have thought the selection would be much better. Many items from shein and the clothing is awful quality. They have the sections organized neatly but the clothing now is just bad quality and made for fast fashion fads and trends. Not worth the prices nor the effort. Just skip it. On thé plus side, the employee I encountered was kind and helpful.
Daeshawn M: Rude managers and new workers staff not like the old days there always broke and won’t buy stuff last offer I got here was for three dollars didn’t want brand new muk boots size 8 for woman. Beware !
Phylicia Reed: Came in recently to sell some clothes. The staff is super friendly and the racks are full of great finds and hidden gems. I highly recommend this location. They actually go through your items piece by piece and even tell you why they don’t x choose certain items. Great system
Miel Bogart: Leah helped me great experience
Lita Ray: Cute things at great prices!
John Harm: Very good service and helpful assistance from a manager named Ella and another. Would recommend taking clothes here.
murmmurgy p: incredible!! it’s been a couple years since i came here to shop, but recently i came to sell some clothes i’ve bought and never wore. all i can say is WOW! they expanded the shop so it’s much bigger which they certainly needed!! and the girls working were AMAZING! i came on a saturday about early afternoon. i loved the girls vibes here! they were SOOOO friendly and informative. the last time i came here a few years ago, i remember all the girls attitudes were terrible and i didn’t have a good experience. whatever the owner is doing here these days, they’re doing it right because their employees are HAPPY! will be returning :)))
Brittany Abdallah: Can’t say one negative thing about this location. Like the Canton location they are very nice there. Great experience when buying or selling there!
Kari: Love shopping here. Great finds!
Kali Karry: I had a great experience w/ Platos! I sold here about two weeks ago and I was honestly pleasantly surprised. I got about $30 for my clothes, it was great!!Anna Cat (I think was her name) helped me & was super friendly!!
Olivia Johnson: Delaney slayed today! She was sooo helpful and observant when I came in to sell some of my clothing. I had a pair of shoes that was labeled “size 4” (which is the kids shoe size equivalent of a size 6) and Delaney caught the fact that the shoes were actually a size 6 on my way out the door! Extremely kind and sweet & clearly a super hard worker!
Rediat Mersha: I've only ever had positive experiences at Plato's Closet. It's the first place I go to if I ever need to go shopping because the clothes are cute, unique, and affordable. And all the sales associates are so helpful and kind!
Robert Mercier: Delaney did and excellent job with everything; much appreciation for her.
Lisa Long: Love this Plato's closet pit of all the ones that I have shopped at.. friendly staff. Great selection of clothes. Clean place too.
Sri Tharika Jothipuram Jayakumar: I’ve been here a few times before and I keep coming back because of the friendly staff and I always find at least one item that I love! I highly recommend this place and suggest everyone to stop by at least once. Lauren helped me find a few dresses to wear and overall was just very friendly.
Julian Burdine: this was my first time here and i had a great time :) all of the employees were very friendly, especially ella at the register. i got a really cool shirt and a dinosaur bath bomb - they had a lot more stuff than i expected
Mary Hagan: Lauren was so sweet and helpful when I asked her where North face puffer vests were. She creates such a friendly enviorment to be in!
Caroline Murrel: Really affordable and cute clothes. When I needed help deciding if I liked a top, an employee, Ella, was extremely helpful.
Ryan Kast: Had a very good experience at Plato’s Ann Arbor, found some really nice shirts for a reasonable price, the cashier Ella was so helpful and kind!

Top Drawer: what do users think?
Mindy Paquette: First time in, nice brands but waaayyyyy over priced for used clothing! A Banana Republic skirt for $40 with a big stain on the front of it… I don’t think I’ll be back.
April: Good brands! Friendly service!
Jennifer Eisenhauer: Nice clean and organized store. This is a 2nd hand consignment show. Very nice name brand item's.
Ed Haack: Overpriced
Jim Zemina: The venue has multiple designer fashions that you would find well worth the trip to see and try on.
Jeanne Luddeni: Very nice clean and bright.
Alapan Lapan: You might as well go to Macys at theses prices. I don’t think they want to sell they want to keep everything.
Zsa Zsa Girl: Website is awful, promote your merchandise on the internet like a website & Instagram.
EMILY DAWSON: Absolutely gorgeous designer clothes at incredible prices! I love shopping here! Tip: go often, the inventory changes often!!
Buffy Beattie: What a gem! The owners were welcoming and picked out several dresses for me to try on. I left with 3 of them and still spent less than half of what I would have paid for a new dress. I have a wedding to attend this weekend and at the very last minute realized I have nothing to wear so headed here to get something because a) I didn't have time to order anything and b) I saw the store recommended on an Ann Arbor mom's Facebook group. I've never purchased resale clothing before but I will definitely recommend this store to everyone I know in the A2 area & will return to the store!
Sailing Kokopelli: Honest
Michael Glover: Very nice place to find second hand stuff! Very nice staff as well.
Lauren Herdrich: Great experience- the new owners have transformed the store to be updated and inviting. The owners are welcoming and helpful- one of them helped me choose items and was attentive and intuitive and quickly got a sense of my style and preferences. The new owners have maintained the selection of quality designer items but have also expanded to include more up-to-date and fun items as well!
Adrienne Heidema: Great selection of higher end clothes and accessories! I found the exact designer belt my daughter was looking for. Wonderful staff!
Rachel Hart Klayman: The new owners have made shopping and selling here a delightful experience. Nice selection of beautiful clothes, shoes, handbags in a range of sizes. Some great deals to be found. I'm becoming a big fan :)
Angela Vreeman: This consignment shop conveys a classy, upscale boutique experience. Service is very friendly and helpful. The clothing has a wide selection with a range of sizes and styles. I find a new treasure each time I visit.
Rhonda Pillote: I loved the new look of the store and found some great buys for myself and my two teenage girls. Everyone was so nice and helped me find things that I may not have tried on my own.
Ellen Dennis: As a buyer, I've loved this place for years. It's great!
Gee: Prices to high clothes modern most outdated
Paulette Metoyer: There should be two sets of reviews, one for sellers and one for buyers.I have been a seller here for years but stopped taking my things there because the taller woman (not the owners) who minds the store is so incredibly rude. She seems to almost literally turn her nose up at some of the clothes brought in and gives me the impression after items have sold that I am to take the check and just get out without stating or questioning anything. She never wants to be bothered with any questions and is condescending in her manner of speech. For example, I brought in an unworn designer name top that was less than a year old. It was rejected for being "too old." When I replied by saying "What? This was purchased 9 months ago" she became almost hostile. That was 2 or 3 years ago and I have not yet gone back.
Diana Neering: Always has nice selection of gently worn designer clothing.

The ShareHouse: what do users think?
Damo Gee: Ok. The store is huge and has all kinds of items. Almost all of the staff is helpful and polite. The hunting is really fun. My problem is the pricing. Its supposed to save you money. I dont know if its one specific lady behind the counter but she asks almost retail prices and comes off as rude. For example I picked out a vcr she priced it at 35 dollars, I was stunned and she said "thats what those go for", took it from me with an attitude and slapped a price tag on it (your welcome i geuss) I went to goodwill the same day and found an almost exact same vcr for ten dollars. I watched her overprice many items in front of me and many people seemed astonished and left without alot of the stuff they picked out. I tried to negotiate on a stuffed animal for 5 dollars off and she said "absolutely not" no counter offer or anything. You are supposed to be able to negotiate but it seems more like she has set prices in mind and thats that. I purposefully got some prices on some shelves from someone else and they were very fair. So its a great place with alot of stuff but honestly if I come in and see her behind the counter I will probably leave and go hunt Goodwill or St Vincent that day.I am an hr away so I probably won't be risking a trip to turn around anytime soon. I had spent 200 dollars there on my previous trip and had two punch cards full. I used one and she basically huffed at me when I presented it. Go have fun hunting, but you will honestly probably not be happy or leaving with much if she is behind the counter. I think she relys on people saying yes to anything because they spent the time to find it and won't want to leave without it. So all in all and enjoyable day with the spouse and pick up a couple items but don't have your fingers crossed that you will leave them depending on who's manning the counter.
CareyLynn Flaugher: They have lots of choices but the prices are not fair for used goods. It’s not clear to me what they support to make them non-profit. Diane sat in the website.
luke hoge: I absolutely love this place but that woman at the counter makes it so uncomfortable to go there more and more every time. I even overheard a conversation about how people ask specifically for when her day off is because she can be very rude. It’s just sad because this is house can help so many people and customers are feeling so uneasy about going there due to a certain person. I really left with a sad feeling today that I probably won’t be returning as frequent. Please do better. If not for the customers, then for the people this place is meant to help.
jenifer lara: You spend hours sorting through junk and get to the cashier who prices it high. They have nice stuff priced up front, and it seems their goal is to have the customer sort out the good stuff to price it high up front. They get donations so no reason to be so high. Disappointed.
Ophelia Pozenel: amazing thrift store you can’t get better than share house
Rachael V.: If you like hunting for treasure, this is the place. It's a bit like trying to find Ravenclaw's diadem in the room of requirement. I've had some awesome finds here. Everything is a mess and hardly anything is labeled with a price. The staff can be abrupt. They're helpful and willing to negotiate on prices, if you come in with a respectful attitude. It really stinks that nothing has prices and you have to wait in line forever while the people ahead of you negotiate.
Carter Starr (Carter Starr): Prices are insanely high, and everything is kind of just strewn about with no real rhyme or reason to organizing. Surprised it isn’t a fire code violation honestly. Huge inventory, but seems dirty and unsafe. Would avoid.
Natalie Hansen: Great store with lots of fun, hidden treasures. I know a lot of reviewers said prices were high at the counter. I disagree. The prices were good and I had a great time looking around.
Megan: This place has some really great finds. We have been here a couple times in the past year or so and have always left happy with some great stuff. This cat is my favorite part of the visit!
Ruth Raupagh: I don’t know why this place has anything less than a 4 star review. It has the coolest thrifted merchandise. I find new items sometimes too and the prices are fair. Today i found a super functional and vintage german made camping blanket that can be fashioned into a, sort of, coat. $8.00.Some of the lower starred reviews are laughable, like “there’s no heat in the place,” “they told me i had 5 minutes left to shop when it was 20 minutes to 6 when they close…”Bro, the place does have heat, but the back loading dock is open all year so they can constantly move merchandise from the drop off area to inside the store, so in the winter it can be chilly. It’s also an old drafty, piecemealed warehouse, what do you expect?Regarding telling someone they had less time to shop than the clock was telling them: the place is popular. The line can get long and slow. I completely understand them telling people to wrap it up 20 minutes before close. They want people out by closing time, not after.I also have read complaints about rudeness. I have never encountered unfounded “rude tones” from anyone working there. It’s a thrift store. It’s a place you go to treasure hunt, not to ask a bunch of questions and haggle prices. They deserve all the stars, straight up.
Heather N.: Dirty, disorganized, nothing is priced. Smelled musty.
Corbin Dickerson: As others have said, it is unfortunate that this place is popular. There’s no mission statement on where the money goes. The main lady that is usually behind the cash register is rude, unwilling to negotiate, and generally does not know the value of the different items that are brought in as donations. Be prepared to wait in line with items that have no prices and be willing to put them back when she attempts to overvalue them. Also, no bathrooms whatsoever. I was told to quote “pee behind the dumpster”. Like I said, before, it’s a shame that this place has become the go to in the Ann Arbor area for resale. Do not donate your items here.
Matthew Butler: Pricing is VERY fair. (I just bought an iMac for 25$).Selection is mind-blowing.If you are a true thrift-shopper, you will love this place. You could spend hours, maybe days digging through everything.Update, 8 years later: It's better, somehow! I stopped in and was so pleased with how much more organized they were, but still so reasonable and still so many treasures.
Samantha Adams: A few years ago, this was my absolute favorite place to thrift for reselling. Good deals, unique pieces and a fun a place to hunt for an hour or two. Last time I went there, I was belittled in front of a line of people waiting to checkout when I bartered on some of the cashier’s prices (mind you, nothing in the store is priced). She said, “You’re not going to dicker me around” and I was incredibly embarrassed as I have done this before without an issue. I used to spend a good amount of money in this store but have since moved on to others and never went back. This is after a spending over $200 multiple times to get 15% off a purchase with my rewards card. The most recent one she took and ripped after I bartered with her. After talking with friends and family who also enjoy this store, they’ve had a similar experience. These are not luxury items. They are donated items. Please, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere!
Karlee Harding: The older lady at the register is awful. She's very rude and increases prices on small silly things like candles and cups when you can get them cheaper at the dollar store. Isn't the point of a thrift store to buy cheaper, used items and not buy new mass produced items? Or maybe even helping those who cant afford?I'll NEVER be back to The ShareHouse to be berated and embarrassed by her at the counter with a line of people watching behind me. Goodwill is priced better and treats you better.
Alice: I understand closing early due to the snow, but it wasn't posted anywhere and I drove out of my way only to find the gate closed at 4 pm. Also, this place used to be better but has been going downhill for kids/baby items. Everything is just dumped in piles and it's nearly impossible to find anything, but thrift options are limited for this side of town.
Kenneth Hill: Rude cashier. She loves to berate her customers. Very nasty attitude Tried to make friendly conversation but she was not having it. Absolutely no heat inside the place and mice running wild in the lower level. Used clothing priced too high. Was told by one worker that I had 20 minutes left to shop in the store and when I traveled to another section quickly, she said I had five minutes left. It was 5:40 and the store closes at 6:00 pm.
Y Lee: I would say it should change its name to "ripoff house." They got most of their items free or per donation. But, they nowadays sell some used ones more expensive than new ones. I wanted to buy a used broom, but they priced it more than a new one I could find from $1.25 places.
Nicole Schriemer: This place used to be great, but it has really gone downhill. Most of the items aren’t priced until you take them up to the register where someone throws out a number and they have been pricing things for way more than they are worth without budging. My past few trips have been frustrating for this reason, But today I bought something old and very used for the same price as I could have gotten it new. I didn't say anything when she priced it even though I thought It sounded steep because I wanted to price compare, and sure enough it was the same price brand new. When I went back to return it or see if she could adjust it, she just pointed to a sign that said "all sales are final." She wasn't apologetic at all, even though she was the person who decided what the price should be and made a bad sale. Don't waste your time here. Goodwill and other thrift stores are better priced and a lot more helpful and pretty much have the same stuff, but less junky.
Brian Rider: This was formally operated by really friendly people that were motivated for a good cause. It is now operated by very rude people. We also used to donate a lot of stuff here and even volunteered on the weekends. DO NOT donate your items here. I will never donate here again. If you want to help a good cause donate your money or items directly to a real charity…this is now a business that uses the word charity for marketing.
Tanya Cousino: Definitely not giving fair deals as their sign says. First and definitely last time in there. This is the highest thrift store I've ever been to. I love thrifting so we always hit up at least one shop when were visiting a new city. Wasted 2hrs picking out great stuff and put lots of it back.

Encore Online Resale: what do users think?
Kosh Shan (Josh): Don't expect anything
Morton Goldberg: I have sold many items on eBay through the services provided by Encore Online Resale. I am completely satisfied with my experience. They give good advice about what will sell and what will not. They do an excellent job of presenting your items on eBay. They take care of all the shipping and other interaction with the buyer. You will receive the payment for what was sold promptly on the completion of the sale, usually three to four weeks after the item is listed on eBay.
NM K: Good place (specially when you consider it's in the small city if Ann Arbor). They are polite even more polite than the crazy thriftshops. Respond well to phone and email. Only caveat if ur stuff is large or less than 75 $ in value they won't take it or I would have given 4 stars.
Michele Harris: This store and Carol are AMAZING! So professional, they keep you on top of everything, do what they say they will and follow though on all levels. Can't say enough good things about them. So get rid of the things you no longer need, they do the work and you get cash from your unused stuff. Win/win!
Will C: Very awesome experience
Anthony Landon: If you have items moved with zero hassle I would highly recommend Encore as way to do it! I recently moved away from the area and Encore helped me put many things onto eBay for sale, they handled every detail for me and it could not have worked out better. The staff is wonderful and they keep you posted every step of the way.
Nick Roe: Carol Kamm is all kinds of awesome. I took two totes of old power ranger toys to her to see if she could maybe get 100 bucks for them online. They were well used and some parts were broken. She did research and turns out that some of those toys were rather rare. She broke them up into groups and put them up for sale. The lot ended up selling for over 500 dollars! All I had to do was drop the stuff off and tell her what everything was, then Encore did all the worksThis is a great service to turn some old stuff you don't need anymore into cash. If you have something that you want to get rid of, I'd strongly recommed going to Encore first and seeing if she can sell it.

Eden West: The hours are never consistent. Google and Facebook hours do not match and they’re not even open during their Facebook listed hours (with no notice anywhere else)
SwagRight Show: I love this place but I don't know what the hours are anymore I stopped by a bunch of times and they are always closed even though it's during the business hours posted 🤷🏾‍♂️

Jnyvngcngc Kihahgc: Good shop
Nicole Casal Moore: Love this place! The owner says he adds new finds daily. He’s got a great eye.
Spencer Wood: Friendly owner and ever-changing inventory. As the name would suggest, many unique t-shirts, shoes, jackets and jerseys.
