Hartland UMC: A large tree fell onto the Church owned Pastors House during an August 2021 windstorm causing significant damage. Having used Paul Davis Restorations in the past for similar significant tree damage to my home, it was easy to call upon them again. The restoration is just now starting as it took the Church Insurance provider over 100 days to process and issue claim checks. The staff from Paul Davis Restoration were instrumental in helping us receive a proper damage assessment. Their staff performed an extensive, detailed assessment including photos which allowed the Church to receive twice the amount approved by the insurance company adjusters. I'm confident the restoration will move forward with the same high level of quality and sense of urgency I received on the 55-day project to repair my home.

I contacted them for an emergency on a water damage in my condo and they took it so lightly that they didn't do the water mitigation on time causing more damage to my condo. I cannot say enough about how amazing, professional and considerate they were. Our house flooded when the drain hose from our washer became disconnected (new washer installation previous to this event) and flooded our laundry room, pantry, landing, kitchen and into our basement. What a nightmare. Kyle and Kyle showed up asap, assessed the situation, immediately removed our flooring down to the sub-floor to rid the mildew smell that was already beginning, and brought in the mitigation equipment. Now, that equipment can be noisy -- like an airplane is landing in your living room kind of noisy -- and I work from home. The team did everything they could to lessen the noise for me, from the quietest machines they had, to even positioning them away from my workspace (including behind the refrigerator!!) to try and lessen the inconvenience of the noise. They treated our house like it was their own. They told us what to expect from the heat that would be created in the house to the drying time, to the condition of our floors. They answered questions about how the process usually works with our insurance provider (but not speaking for them). Kyle B. left a card for me to call his cell phone at any time with any questions. The team stopped by every day over five days to check the progress so they could remove equipment as quickly as possible to lessen the noise asap. Each time they stopped by, they called first to make sure it was a convenient time to do so. I'm telling you...a dream team. I felt taken care of as a customer one hundred percent of the time. Nick Azzarello: We had a large tree fall on our house that required a considerable amount of structural work, drywall, painting and flooring. But first, we needed to get a contractor out, ASAP since we had a gaping hole in the roof. Out of three that I called, Chad Grimes was the only one to not only agree to show up, but did so the very next day. He came prepared with a crew and tarps to at least get us under cover. He was quick to respond to the water damage and getting it dried out to determine overall damage. Each instance in our dealings with Chad was very good. He was prompt and communicated regularly letting us know where things stood. The work itself was done exactly to our liking and Chad does not skimp. HE will not replace partial flooring if it butts up to older flooring that was not damaged, so part of his estimate was replacing all flooring to make sure we had the same overall satisfaction with our house prior to the damage. He had also met at the house with the insurance adjuster and explained this to her as well, that he would not allow old to meet with new (except for drywall). Overall we have a house that we are just as pleased with now as we were prior. Chad has also been very understanding in our dealings with the bank, which have been slow and fraught with paperwork. Because of that, the bank has been slow to release funds, which could set off an small business owner, but Chad couldn't have been more understanding. Corey Allshouse: Chris K. and his team (Scott, Brian, Shannon and Gabe) were terrific with our mold mitigation. We called Chris to check on some water that had seeped into a lower level bedroom. What he found was shocking: Extensive mold and water damage throughout the closet along the exterior wall.We scheduled the work within two business days and the team got right to it. I’m impressed with how clean and efficiently the team worked. After completely sealing the room from the rest of the house, they cut out drywall, insulation and carpeting. Bagged it up and hauled it out. Then they set up the machines to dry out the area and sprayed down mold control on the impacted area. This all happened within two hours.The team left and returned the next day to check the moisture numbers, and then returned again the second day when it was determined the mitigation was complete based on the moisture levels. They hauled all their equipment out and stripped down all the plastic sheeting they used to seal the room from the rest of the house (they even sealed the air vent and cold air return).All in all, we are thankful for Restoration 1 and how quickly they helped us clean, remove and dry out the area. Not only were they very professional, knowledgeable and efficient, they were very conscientious about keeping my house clean even though it was more effort for them - putting booties over their shoes on the way in and taking them off on the way out. They laid a drop cloth to protect the carpeting at the entry way and they protected all the walls with guards to keep the hoses from rubbing. They explained everything they were going to do, not minding all the questions. After they were done, I got to see videos of all the dirt in the ducts being sucked away and the before and after pictures. Very pleasant and amicable to speak with.
